November 29th, 2025. Officers responded to a Chick-fil-A after $80,000 went missing. Police say a fired employee rang up 800 trays of mac and cheese, then refunded the unpaid orders to his own cards. >> Here are all the transactions. >> Okay. >> Um, so he utilized other cashiers pin numbers. >> Okay. to finish the transaction. >> He's not here, right? >> No. >> Okay. >> Um wish. >> But this is so that's him talking to one of the managers. >> Okay. >> You know, the obvious thing is he shouldn't be in the back. Right. >> I think he took advantage of one of the managers, but then that's him >> at the POS. >> Uhhuh. >> Doing one of the transactions. >> Okay. How did So he'd ring it up and then >> refunded it and he and he stole he stole our director of operations pin override. >> Okay. And then took the cash or >> got it into a car. He swiped his car and it got >> Oh, so it refunded to his car. >> It refunded to his car. >> Refund the item. So >> Gotcha. Okay. So he rang up >> 200 mac and cheese, refunded it, and then refunded it to his car. >> Okay. >> Yep. >> Like y'all wouldn't figure that out, >> but Okay, cool. >> So he just happened. >> Yeah, last night. >> All last night. All of them last night. >> So he's telling he's telling team members that he's moving to Arizona. >> Okay. >> What's his name? >> Sean. Khan. It's on here. >> Sorry. >> Oh, he didn't. >> This is also his Well, that's his check. >> I don't think that's it on. >> I assume he's no longer employed here. >> He prayed on two of our younger female managers. >> So, did he come in last night after he'd been >> fired and was back? Yep. >> So, he wasn't even supposed to be here. >> N. >> Cool. That's me. That's the report number. >> Got you. >> I'll send you that link to that email. It'll come across as like axon capture or evidence.com, something like that. And I have a link to it. And if you could just upload the videos of him >> doing whatever he's got to do. >> Do you need these? You want? >> Yes, please. If you don't mind. >> He needs that last paper more than anything cuz it has all the >> I know it's probably a silly question, but I have to ask. You want to prosecute? >> Yes. >> Yes. >> They got all bent out of shape. Well, you didn't ask if they want a process or I know it's pretty obvious this [laughter] >> I have to put in our report prosecution. What's your title here? >> I'm an owner. >> Owner. Okay, >> cool. Holl at us. If you have anything else, um he comes back up here, let us know. >> We'd like to like to talk to him. [clears throat] >> I would like to talk to him. >> I'm sure [laughter] you would. >> I will let you. I will definitely >> Okay. So, who's the victim of the theft? Is it Is it Chick-fil-A or is it you? It's me. >> You? Okay. >> Yeah. Ouch. >> Yeah. Okay. >> After detectives obtained arrest warrants for Jones, officers made multiple attempts to take him into custody. According to police, Jones fled from officers on more than one occasion before he was eventually arrested and brought in for questioning. >> Before we get into it, I'd like to read you something. Okay. Um, you have the right to remain silent and not make any statement at all. And any statement you make may be used against you at your trial. Any statement you make may be used as evidence against you in court. You have the right to have a lawyer present to advise you prior to and during any questioning. If you are unable to employ a lawyer, you have the right to have a lawyer appointed to advise you prior to and during any questioning. You have the right to terminate this interview at any time. Do you understand that? >> Are you cool with talking to me? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. So, let's go ahead and jump into it. So, obviously you already know, you're well aware that what I'm investigating is um uh the theft from Chick-fil-A, right? So, or at this point, how long since you had been fired? >> I want to say maybe two weeks. Okay. >> Yeah, maybe two weeks. I think I had just got my my final check. What happened? Um >> so, yeah. So, um, so you know, she was telling me all these things and like I said, you know, when I went there, my plan was just to say hi to people. I mean, I didn't go in there thinking that, oh yeah, I'm gonna I'm gonna rob Jarvis tonight, >> right? >> Like, you know, I Jarvis, I mean, I only saw him a couple times I worked there, but every time that he was there, he was he was fairly kind. I mean, he was he was nice, so he wasn't a bad guy. >> Sure. Um, so you know, I went there and um, you know, she's telling me all these things and I guess I don't know what happened. I mean, I just I got upset. I mean, I was like I guess I was kind of like, you know, I felt like, wow, I can't believe they would say that about me, you know, considering how hard I did work >> when I worked there. Like say, you know, like I told you in the car. >> Yeah. >> You know, anytime they needed something, they could call on me. you know, I tried my best, you know, and you know, somebody who's had as much Chick-fil-A experience as me, I wasn't bad at my job. I mean, I've been doing it for years. >> Yeah. >> Um, so, you know, I guess just to hear that it was, I mean, it was hurtful. I mean, so, and then, I mean, I was still there and then out of nowhere, I guess I just, you know, I was behind the counter at this point. I was already behind the counter anyways, but I was talking. I wasn't doing anything bad yet or anything like that. I was just talking, you know, I was talking to people, saying hi. saying hi to the people in the kitchen, >> right? >> Um and then I don't know, I just as I got started getting closer to the the I first it was an iPad. Um I picked up my iPad to see if my code still worked, but it didn't. So then I started I got up and I went to a register and I tried it again. It didn't work. And then I don't know something just I'm not sure like I know it sounds ridiculous to say like something oh something took over me but it's like I don't know I don't know I just started I started ringing up um I started ringing up mac and cheese trays like large mac and cheese trays. >> Do you remember whose code you used? >> Yes. Um it was um Evelyn's code. Evelyn's our director of operations. Evelyn Fernandez. >> Do you remember what that code was? >> It's been it's been too long. Okay. All right. So, you use Evelyn Fernandez's code and then you said you ordered mac and cheese trace. >> Yeah. So, but um I had it on the refund. It was on the refund screen. So, instead of like kind of like ringing up mac and you were ringing up mac and cheese, but they were coming back in, oh, it would be this much back on someone's card. >> Okay. [clears throat] >> And then, >> so it wasn't you were purchasing it, it was like you went to the refund screen like somebody like you were just giving somebody their refund >> basically. Yeah. like how I would do any other, you know, guests that had a bad experience or something like, you know, just go to refund screen. >> Um, and then ask, you know, ask for the code. I put in the code. Um, and then like I said, I just started I think I rang up like I think it was like 20 or 40, one of the two. Um, I think I kept the receipt, but I don't know that now. But >> okay. >> Um, but yeah, so I started >> 20 20 or 40 what? like large mac and tree trays because a large mac and cheese tray alone now um I think a large mac and cheese tray alone is about $1,000. Um so it's like 900 and something before tax. >> Okay. So if you ordered on your first go when you refunded the mac and cheese trays, do you remember how much the amount was? >> I think the first time it was it was 20. It was It was about $20,000 or >> Yeah, I think there was three transactions total. >> There was about $20,000 on the first transaction. The second one was another four was basically a $40,000 one and then the third one was another $20,000 one, I believe. >> Okay. It's reversed, but that's okay. >> Oh, okay. >> That's okay. If I told you it was 20,000 20,000 40,000, if I'm going based off of my memory, I'm pretty sure that's what it was. Um, I'll have to double check, but you said um you said 4040,000. >> Yeah, I know for a fact it was like I said equal up to like $80,000 and I know it was three different transactions and one was 20, one was another one was 20, then one was 40. >> Okay. When you're there, there's like a heavier set Hispanic kid that was there and you were behind the register on the side of the register. What's that? >> Oh, was he like it was it was when I was behind the like in the cockpit area like behind the counter. >> I'm going based off of memory. It's been a little bit since I watched the video, but you're at the register and I believe you're standing on the customer side of the counter and you've got the tablet turned around and the guy like a heavier set Hispanic kid's like sweeping and he comes over and he like looks over your shoulder and then you guys start smiling and and and laughing or whatever. What was that all about? >> I think you may be talking about William >> William or David. One of the two. Um, but I think William was just I think he saw that I was trying my code and he um, so I think he kind of found it funny. He's a kid, teenager, you know, he's he was definitely one of our >> our harder to contain ones. So I I don't think he meant or I don't think he really caught on to what was happening. I think he, you know, just thought it was funny. >> Sure. >> Um, but I don't think he really >> I don't think he knew what was going on. He probably would have said something. >> Yeah. That too. And I I don't know. He's not the smartest apple. [laughter] So, >> all right. >> Yeah. So, I don't think he I I definitely don't think he knew anything. I pretty I'm pretty sure he did. >> Have you ever done the refund thing before and tested it on your card to see if it would work? >> Not not particular. I've never I've never done that. Like said, $8,000. I've never had anything like that in my account before. So, >> to like So, I think you know, and then again, even when I did it, the money wasn't there. It showed on my bank statement that it showed obviously, hey, you just got a $20,000 deposit from Chick-fil-A or $40,000 deposit from Chick-fil-A, but as far as the available down balance said, the available balance didn't reflect. So, in my head, I was just like, "Oh, well, that didn't work." And I guess I don't know. I I guess I wasn't really, it just wasn't clicking yet what I had done. >> Like I said, but I went out because Theresa, you know, I guess, you know, everyone kind of felt bad that, you know, again, they said, "Well, you are hard." Yeah. you are hard work. I can't believe they fired you. >> Okay. >> Um so, you know, Teresa invited me out. Um I think we actually went out with Teresa and someone from Kitchen. Um >> and so we went out and I said I mean >> I don't know. I don't know. I guess my mind was my half my mind was still on the fact of all the horrible things that they were saying about me that I just found out. >> Yeah. >> Um half my mind was on >> well what did I just do? I just look like an idiot. I let the anger get the best of me and then didn't even work. Like I said, the money wasn't there. So, I thought I just thought that it didn't work. >> Yeah. >> Um and I was I went home that that night and I went to sleep and I woke up the next morning and my I guess my phone my phone was on silent. Um and I woke up the next morning and all of a sudden I just have like all these missed messages and mis calls. Um, I have missed calls from Teresa. I have missed calls from Jarvis. I have missed calls from Angie who is another manager at the store. >> Yeah. >> Um, you know, I have all these like notifications and messages of people basically like trying to figure out like trying to basically get a hold of me. >> Yeah. >> Even my mom. Even my mom. I had a bunch of mis calls from her too. Um, and when I finally I guess kind of when I saw it's more so when I saw Jarvis messages, that's kind of when it clicked all at once. >> Yeah, that's kind of when it was like what in the world could I just do? >> Did you ever call Jarvis and talk to him? >> I wanted to, but Jarvis, he had me nervous, too, because Jarvis also and I think I still have those. I still have those voicemails. Jarvis sent me voicemails of him shooting a gun and would send me messages like, "You better have my money or you better hope the police find you before I do." >> Would you go would go to someone like that? >> Fair. >> Yeah. So, um, so I think Yeah. I mean, you know, I felt horrible and I wanted to reach out to him and explain to like, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry." >> Um, and then also when he said, "You better have my money. You better bring it back." I'm like, >> I think also, like I said, when I woke up that next morning, the money still wasn't there, >> right? Well, it takes a couple days to transfer, especially that much money. >> So, I was like I was like, "Oh my god, he wants his money. I don't even have it. I don't know where I don't know where your money went." I mean, >> it's Yeah, I put my card in, but it's not in my account. I don't have $80,000 in my account right now. Like, >> Right. >> So, I kind of I guess I kind of just panicked. I didn't know. I'm like, >> "Well, he's bending to kill me." >> Yeah. >> He wants his money. I don't have his money. >> Yeah. >> What am I supposed to do? So, how many how many cards did you use for all all these three transactions? >> Two, Navy, Federal, and City Bank. >> One of the cards card numbers that you gave me was correct as far I say correct. >> I think I may have given you my Capital One card. >> I would have to go back and check. Okay. >> And then the other debit card is not the other debit card was a different number. That one wasn't the one. And I said, "Okay, that's not the right card. What's the right card?" And you said, "That's the only two debit cards or whatever that I have. Yeah, I have a So, in debit cards, I have the Navy Federal one and then I have a um I have the Capital One and then on my on my Apple Pay I have my mom's Wells Fargo card, but what I'm trying to get to is you gave me one of the debit cards that you used but not or one of the cards that you used but not the other. Does that make sense? >> Why did Why did you do that? because you admitted to the whole thing and then you gave me one card and not the other one. I thought that was kind of strange. >> I think I think it's because when you called Well, actually, no, it was it still wasn't there either. >> Yeah, it wasn't in your It wasn't in your account. >> It wasn't in account either. Um, honestly, I'm I'm not sure. I'm not sure. Like say I think I was I was just nervous and I was panicking. I'm like And you know, you're telling me to come turn myself in and I was considering and I was like, "Well, no." He >> Well, it wasn't even turn yourself in at that point. It was you said that Teresa put you up to it and she was blackmailing you because you guys were having an inappropriate relationship and she said that she would tell somebody and that would get you fired from your job and if you didn't steal the $80,000 then she would go to corporate and you get fired. So then you went down and this is what you told me just to kind of throw me off my tracks or whatever. Um is that correct? >> Yeah. >> Okay. That was a lie. I debunked that in like an hour and a half after talking with her looking through her account. Her blackmailing me. Yes, that was a lie. I mean, but the part of me telling her, I would say we weren't sleeping together, but me telling her that would give her money was true, but then again, the money never appeared. So, >> Okay. All right. So, what's the reason that you didn't give me the other card that you used? >> I honestly I think I was just frazzled on the phone. I think I I was like and I was when you asked me, I was going through my wallet. And I'm like, as you know, I'm sure you have my wallet. You know, there's a lot of things in there. So, at this point, I'm frazzled. And I'm like, I'm trying to find the card. I'm trying to go through everything that is in my wallet. >> Okay. >> Um, and I'm like, why did I get these two? >> And I think that's kind of just why I messed up is >> I appreciate your honesty. Thank you. Um, all right. All right. So, then, uh, let's see, where are we at? We kind of jumped back and forth a little bit to get where we needed to go. Um, were you when I called you and you gave me the information that you did and you admitted that you stole it or whatever I had and you told me that you have information to show me reference another suspect, Teresa. >> Um, we you've already said that that was a lie. Just kind of throw me out. That's that's totally fine. And then at that point, I was like, well, if you got it, bring it in. Like, bring in the evidence that you have and we'll we'll figure it out. And then you were like, hey, I'm on my way. You just didn't show up. Were you already in San Francisco? >> No, I was not. No, I I actually laying in bed when I said that. In fact, I actually scheduled the message. >> Were you at your mom's house at this point? >> I believe so. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Um and I think it's because once I said one side cuz in my head when I told you that I was like, "Okay, well, I do have text between me and Teresa." And I was like, "Well, this should be enough to show him like or at least hold him off a little bit to show him like, hey, it ain't just me." without going back to the messages. And I noticed that again, like I told you in the car, like I only told her, "Hey, I'd give you money. I'd be a payout." I didn't tell her, "Oh, I'm going to give you 50 bands." Like, >> I I never specified a number. I never, you know, specified, you know, I mean, even even saying even me saying, "Oh, I'm going to do a payout for you." I feel like that's kind of every even though we all know what a pay I mean, well, anybody knows what a payout is. >> Sure. um you know it's when we you know some type of malicious fund or something we have to give it like gas or something. >> So explain explain that. >> I I have never worked actually in the food industry. So explain what payout is. >> So a payout is basically um where a payout can be done. So um so >> I'm sure as you're aware I was the assistant director of sales and brand. Um, so I did I was doing things I would do payouts for things, you know, obviously approved by my my bosses, of course, I would do payout things like if I went and bought decorations. So like when I bought store decorations off Amazon, yeah, I'd use my card, but then I' i'd turn in my receipts on how much I spent on Amazon, then I do a pay and then I would receive a payout for the money that I spent on Amazon since I use my own personal. So, if you're using your per you use your personal money for business uh things that are responsible for the business, but you just like take your ticket like, "Hey, there's my receipt for whatever I bought." And then that gets that gets sent to you from the company. >> Yeah. Exactly. So, same with like gas. So, like our delivery drivers, if you're out doing a delivery and you have to stop and get gas, say gas 25 bucks, you come back, you show me the receipt, >> I'll do a payout, I'll give you 25 bucks. I put your receipt in the register. Okay. And I file it at the end of the night when I'm doing money. >> Okay. Gotcha. Okay, now we're tracking. Yeah. Okay. >> So, um, so I did have that in the messages, but I was like, well, one, you don't know what a payout is. Two, I don't think that's going to be enough. >> But you could have explained it to me, >> but even then, I can't there's no way I could have done a even saying I'm going to do you a payout. A payout is we can only do as much as that's in the register. I can't give you a $50,000 payout because we don't have 50 grand in the register. >> Sure. >> Um, so I thought that I guess in my head I was like, well, that's not going to track. now kind of got went through the whole the whole offense or whatever for that whole that whole deal. Okay. You then go to San Francisco, >> you buy a bunch of stuff in San Francisco, you go to Tiffany, you buy jewelry, you buy where are some of the places that you spend some of the money? >> I think like say when I um when immediately when I went to San Francisco, the original plan for San Francisco was to >> get away from Texas. >> No, no, no, no, no, [laughter] no. God, no. San Francisco was horrible. I would never go back. Um, San Francisco is only because like I was like, I need to get to City Bank. >> And I was like, because like I said, they don't have any here in Texas. That's why San Francisco. It was I promise it was not supposed to be some big vacation. Surely not in San Francisco. >> But when I got there, um, yeah, that's my thing. I was like, "Okay, I need to get to City Bank." And so I got I literally I I don't know if you even saw it, but that night that that money hit, I was in San Francisco that next morning. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> And when I get there, it was just supposed to be a day trip. I'm like, I need to get to San Francisco. And I don't even know I didn't know what I was going to do when I got there. I didn't I need to go to City Bank. I made it to City Bank. I'm like and I told them the man and actually you probably even well they probably won't remember me now but I mean even though I was a very unique situation um when I went into City Bank I told him I'm like I made a mistake. I was like I didn't tell my I didn't tell my rob Chick-fil-A. I just told him I was like I I I work for Chick-fil-A my boss I accidentally put this money in this account. I don't know what to do. Like we're trying to figure out how to get it back. And I was like can you guys do a cashier check? can you guys do a a cash? And they was like and they kind of just looked at me and they were like sir we don't have 60 grand on hand. Um they was like they was like even we do a cashier's check we would have to put it in. It was I was like they was like well who name you want to put in. I'm like I don't know. I was like I kind of frazz it again. I'm like um um um I don't know if my boss wants it in his name. Like I just kind of didn't know what to say. And basically I kind of just like well and they was like well what do you want to And I was like, um, well, I was like, "Does the account work? I mean, is the account locked, frozen? What?" And they told me, I said, "They told me the account was totally fine." And at that point, I'm just freaking out. I'm like, "Oh my god, what do I do? I probably look absolutely crackhead insane in this bank right now." >> Okay. >> Um, and I I then I left the the the brain. So, he was like, "Well, I mean, if you want the cash, let us know. We'll order it and it'll be here within a week or two." And I was like u I was like no no no don't don't order the cash and I would I was like well what am I going to do then that would have made me frazzled even more walking around with $60,000 just getting that's just asking rob >> um so >> especially in San Francisco. >> So when did you decide that you were going to start buying stuff? I think it's when I was in there and I I started to be honest. I started calling friends >> and I started asking people um I'm like wait like you know I told like two I told like two different friends what I did and I was like I was like what what would you do like what what like one they call me an idiot and they was like and basically again just listen to everybody else around me rather than just taking my chances with you. Basically, everyone's just telling me you're not going to run. You might as well start finding stuff that you can liquidate because one day they they basically all said they was like, "Well, if they do find you one day, you need to stop buying stuff that you can liquidate because you're going to need a lawyer and all this." I'm like, "$80,000. That'll pay a lawyer." But, I mean, that's not that's not what I'm trying to do here. Like, I'm like, so basically, I mean, I don't know. That's when I kind of it was just like um it was like just just don't don't come back to Texas. But I'm like no I don't that was never my plan. Like my plan was not to just go to San Francisco and stay there like >> Okay. So then you you go you're in San Francisco you're going to like Tiffany's and buying jewelry. >> I think at that point I say I I idiotically listen to my friends. I'm like they're like buy they're like buy stuff that never that can't lose value. Buy gold. Buy >> What did you buy at Tiffany's? I think I bought them. And that's a stupid thing. After all the money ran out and they locked the other accounts, I had to go sell all the Tiffany stuff and I didn't get half of what I got what I paid for. >> To steal Tiffany stuff, though. You said >> no. No. Um after after all the money ran out, I end up having to go sell the Tiffany stuff. >> Where did you sell it? >> Some gold shop in Plano. And um >> didn't even get half of what I paid for all of it back. Spent a lot of money at Tiffany's for sure. >> Okay. >> Um >> where else did you go? Honestly, that's I think I went and since I my trip turned from a day trip to a multiple day trip, I think I went to Macy's and bought clothes because I had no I literally only had the clothes that I hopped on the flight with like which was the clothes that are on my back. >> You went to like Shields a bunch of times. What the heck did you buy? Shields. >> Oh, I bought a um I bought a Garmin watch. >> February 25th, I believe. Uh, that's the day that you ran for me. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, go on a little drive, you go down the street, you make a left, you make a right, you hit the highway, you make a U-turn, you start going back to your house, you realize that, hey, that car is following me turn for turn, even though I was a couple cars back most of the time. >> Yeah. >> I think what gave it away is when I when I turned down that neighborhood and I saw you dead stop in the middle of the road. And I was like, "Okay." I thought that maybe you just going to pull into one of those houses. But then as I hit as I turned on the stop sign, you kept going. I was like, "Okay, yeah, no, definitely." >> Yeah. I knew I was cooked right there. I was like, >> cuz it was just We only had one. >> I was like, "Okay, this definitely is somebody following [laughter] me." I didn't know it was you though. I knew it was the police. I just thought I was like, "Oh my god." Like somebody please Lord, don't tell me somebody rob me next. Like >> Okay. So yeah, usually So yeah. Uh, okay. That's fair enough. I knew I was cooked when we didn't have more cars and it was just me >> and I followed you for a while. I'm like, "Oh, dude, we're about to burn it right here." And you went right and I'm like, "We got to go right. I'm going to give it a little bit." And you went down that road and I'm like, "Okay, I think we're good." Turned and you were like still in the middle of the road and I'm like, "Oh, we're cooked." Then you made another right, started going back to the house. I'm like, "Bro, we're done." And then we made the ultimate decision that when you pull up in the driveway, we're just going to get out and tell you to come out and arrest you or whatever. So, what the heck was running through your head when you drove through your mom's front yard? I think like I said um like I told you earlier, I think you know just off of bad experiences in my own past, but then also just [clears throat] um I guess I was just nervous when I when I realized cuz what so how I saw you when when I saw you follow me and when I saw you basically pull behind me as soon as I pulled into the yard I [clears throat] how I saw you was actually through the side mirror. >> Yep. >> Um I saw you the side mirror and I did see police. >> Had your eyes got this big around? >> Yeah. And then I but then I saw you I saw your hand on your gun so I was like oh my god like no this about to go horrible. So then >> again just out of >> you saw my badge though right? >> I I didn't see I didn't see I just saw I saw I saw your vest it said police and I saw your hand on your gun. I was like, "Okay." >> And then I just >> freaked and drove. And >> so a lot of these incidents with law enforcement shootings and stuff like that, vast majority of them happen because of non-compliance >> and you kind of touched on it a set for a little bit earlier. >> Dude, you could have just been like, "Yep, you got me. Yeah, >> you got me. It's over." >> Got to cuss. Put your hands out the wind out the door, out the window, whatever. Complied. I'm not looking to shoot nobody. You know what? I'm trying to arrest you because you committed a theft, right? And you knew that. >> Yeah. >> And that's why you ran, >> right? >> All right. You drive through the front yard of your house, you you boogie down the street or whatever. We can't find you. We didn't even chase you. Like, we try to get into our car and backing up, but the turn radius on that truck sucks. And by the time we came around the corner, you were already long gone. But you evaded us in a vehicle. >> Yeah. >> Okay. And that was your mom's GMC Yukon. >> Yeah. the one with the dent on the back. Okay. So, we got the whole world basically up there in McKenna looking for you, driving around or whatever. And then we come back to the house. Your sister's car is gone. A little while later, your mom and your sister roll up. >> Oh, yeah. >> We talk and we talk to them. Where the heck did you go? >> Okay. So, when I went down that road, I had actually never been back there. I was >> Okay. >> I I was just >> freaking out. >> Yeah. Freaking out. I never even been back that road. Um, that didn't I didn't realize it led to downtown McKinnon. Um, so when I went down that road, I basically just was panicking and I was like, you know, bumps, roads, I'm trying not to, you know, crash. I'm like, "Oh my god, I'm going to hit somebody. I can't hit anybody." Um, I can't do that to somebody, you know. And then eventually I just see this parking lot and it was some parking lot of a business. So, I pulled into the parking lot and I turned the car, jumped off and ran and hid behind a trailer. >> Okay. >> And um >> you stayed there until things cooled down. >> Well, like I said, I order I ordered an Uber. >> Okay. >> I ordered an Uber um from where I was hiding in the trailer >> to all the way to Hlet. >> Okay. >> So, then >> to your girlfriend's house. >> Yeah. >> Your girlfriend go and get in her car. You jump in the driver's seat. She jumps in the passenger seat. And then the big tall guy that arrested you today. >> Um, he parks his car right behind your car. >> Oh, that wasn't him in the Ram truck. >> I'm not sure what he was driving. >> So So that day I actually walked outside, I saw the the silver extremely dark tent Jeep Cherokee parked at the bottom of the road and I smirked and I was like, "No, I'm just being paranoid." >> Yeah. And I had gotten, you know, I opened the door for her. I walked >> that same day. >> Yeah. Same. Yeah. No, that same It was literally when the whole thing unfolded. Like said, we came out the garage. I opened her door, [clears throat] closed her door. I walk across to the driver's side and I see the This is her car right here. I see the Jeep Cherokee parked right here. And I kind of just I kind of glance at it and look and smile and I get back into the car. And then right as I start the car up, that's when I didn't even see the car behind me. what it did. I just saw this >> gray Ram truck come in with police lights and try to block us in. >> Okay. >> So, I thought that he was in that vehicle. Yeah. >> Okay. Gotcha. All right. So, there's a car parked behind your car in the driveway at your girlfriend's house. After you guys both get in the car, you see the police lights and instead of giving up again, what did you do? >> I ran again. I think even worse I think I think and I know it's you know no excuse or anything. I think I was just worried of like cuz at this point you know when I ran the first time um as you you know as I've told you before you know you know Kiana is pregnant. Um we we didn't know when I ran the first time that was not that wasn't in the picture yet. That no one knew that. We didn't know that like >> we had no clue, >> right? Um, I think that now when that happened, whatever. >> So, so you go jump in the car, you see the the car behind you, you got the police lights on, all the stuff. What's going on in your mind? >> I think kind of the same thing as today. It's just um as foolish as it may sound, I guess. I'm just like I don't want I guess I didn't want Kiana to be I don't know. I didn't want her to see that that that happen. I didn't want to, you know, break I mean, even though she ended up seeing it today, >> you know, I don't want I don't want anyone I didn't want to break a heart like that and have to her have to see >> basically the father and child, you know, she's already worried his is like, oh, what am I going to do? >> I think, you know, kind of see him get all the way in cuffs or held at gunpoint. Yeah, because you said, you know, you're shocked you didn't hold me at gunpoint. >> I never said that. >> Um, >> I never said that. I I wasn't even going to do that. >> You're not. >> No, not you. Not you. Okay. That's big guy. >> Okay. >> Yeah, big guy. Um, you know, I guess I just didn't want her to kind of witness that. Um, that's got to be down. So, I didn't want that being pointed to her either. >> Okay. So, you took off. What's the route that you took when you when you took off? >> So, to get out of the driveway, he went bumper to bumper on you. >> How close? >> Pretty close. And then >> you cut you cut the tire. And where did you go? Um, I went down that one that basically I went down the street that he came from. >> What I'm trying to get at is you went through the front yard again or you went through the yards again. That's what I'm trying to get. >> Yeah, I went over the curb again and then I um and then I went down a street and eventually somehow ended up in another neighborhood basically like an exit down. >> Okay. And then when the neighborhood when I got to neighborhood um and I sit down um that's when I then ordered another Uber and I went to Cedar Hill. You obviously took off you took off today, right? You went down to [clears throat] where we where we were downtown Fort Worth. You're with Kiana. You're with Kiana. You I wasn't I wasn't there. I was on my way. Um, I obviously I showed up to the party a little late. Unfortunately, I wanted to be there, but um I'm assuming the same thing was running through your head. Saw the police lights, I'm guessing. >> Well, actually, they had I So, what happened was when I So, I saw what's his name? Um, the other guy, the tall guy. >> I saw him pull his truck in. And >> do you recognize him from your house? I think so. Yeah. I was like I was like, "No." And I think what he kind of gave himself away because he did it twice. First he hit the he came he came through the parking lot once, left the parking lot, came again, backed his car in, and at that point I was like I was like, "Okay, well, you know, maybe I'm just being paranoid." It's when I saw about five police cars come from the street. Um they kind of all before they even pulled into the parking lot you could see like them basically all in a line um coming that way and that's when I was like I was trying to run but then like I said I mean [clears throat] I thought that Kiana wouldn't have to see me so then I gave up. I I mean I mean even though I ran I ran basically just away from Kiana and then I mean I did like I say even that state trooper can tell you you know I I stood there I put my hands up I surrendered but you know obviously unfortunately you didn't get to see it but he did tackle me. Um so but basically I mean it was time to give up. I mean Kiana wasn't anywhere near the danger. Okay. >> I mean it was it was time. All right. >> So you you ran away on foot. I'm sorry. So you ran away on foot and ended up getting tackled. >> You saw a bunch of cops swarming you or whatever. Did they actually almost backed into one of the police officers cars? >> I wasn't driving. >> The white car. >> Kiana's car. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. I jumped out the passenger seat. >> You were in the passenger seat. Yeah. Okay. See, like I said, I wasn't there. >> Oh, yeah. Yeah. No, I wasn't driving. I jumped out the passenger seat. >> Okay. So, you jump out the passenger seat. Okay. You jump out the passenger seat and took off running and then you got tackled. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Fair enough. Fair enough. Okay. Um, let's talk about this. >> It's a driver's license with your picture says your name is Israel Ramirez >> on the phone. Israel Ramirez is a real person. I'm sure you ran that license down. Comes back as Mr. is born went to Irving. I'm sure you probably I don't know if you know that but that's how you know me and Israel have been friends since I high. >> Um and [snorts] basically Israel that's mean that's his debit card. Um >> this is his actual debit card >> or is this your Israel Ramirez debit card? >> Oh like Israel I now that I can prove over text messages and everything. >> So Israel just gave you his debit card. No, Israel let Israel for money because Israel just lets me use his identity for money and then when I um when I what's his name when I was needing like a credit card when I like it basically became like all this and stuff letting me use like he let me open up a credit card in his name which is all I have all physical proof showing that Israel said yes to that and was okay with that. Um, but basically that's just what that is. >> How long have you had this? >> Um, it's been a minute now. I mean, I I rarely use it. I mean, I only use it, like I said, he had he let me open up a credit card in his name and then um yeah, he's I just been using it since. >> That seems very strange, >> but I have a text message to prove it. All right, I'm gonna give Israel Ramirez, not this Israel Ramirez because that's you. Israel Ramirez a call and I'm going to ask him if he gave you permission to use it, but still a crime. >> Okay, but >> I'll figure I'll figure that out. That's the least of my concerns right now. I'm gonna be honest with you. That's the least of your concerns right now. All right, let's just focus on what we were actually took place. You know that, like I said, like >> I said, you know, if you need the evidence, I'm not gonna I'm not going to fight you anymore. I'll cooperate with you. I'll >> I mean, you just sat there and talked to me for almost I don't know, 3 hours, 2 hours, I don't know how long it's been, but I'm good with it. This is the least of my concerns, the least of your concerns. Um, you I'm going to double check to see just to make sure that you are what you said, a convicted felon. And then you'll be looking at a a felony um a felon in possession of a firearm um charge also on top of the theft 30,000 to 150,000 money laundering 30,000 to 15. >> So what is the moneyaundering? What what did I what did I do? I mean I know the >> transfer I transferred funds >> but you transfer funds. >> I didn't transfer them out. I I just transferred me that that >> account. It's still money laundering. >> Still money laundering. So it's theft for the $80,000 that you stole. >> Money laundering because you transferred it back and forth from accounts. Checking account, savings account, savings account, checking account. You also transferred it. Technically, it's a transfer when you took it from Chick-fil-A because that's an account and you transferred it to the other account. So theft 30,000 to 150,000 money laundering 30,000 to 150,000 evading in a vehicle from us when we were in Mckini evading in a vehicle uh evading in a vehicle um from your girlfriend's house. You got um felon in possession of a firearm and then whatever this is going to flood up for the the cards and the IDs and all this stuff. Look, you just said I wouldn't do 30 years for that. >> You're not going to do 30 years. You're not going to have hard life. >> What the freak? >> No, dude. >> Those what you just went down sounds like a serious list of >> serious list of offenses. >> What can you tell me at least the ballpark what do those those offenses carry? >> I honestly don't know. I don't have that stuff memorized. I don't deal with I don't deal with that side of the stuff. It's going to ultimately be what the judge decides. If you decide to take it to trial, what the jury decides, what the the district attorney and your defense attorney sits there and works up as a deal to take a plea or whatever. You know what I mean? So, the list of what's going to happen um what should happen is tomorrow. Um assuming that Tarant County is running the bus or the van tomorrow, you'll be transported to Tarant County. From there, you'll see a judge. The judge will um set your bond. Um if he chooses to set your bond with the evadings and stuff like that in a vehicle and then running on foot and this whole thing, um he might give you a very high bond. He might not. Or he might say you're going to stay in jail for a little bit and not give you a bond. I don't know. That's completely on the judge. And then what about >> and you'll be extradited to Oklahoma at some point. >> He was charged with theft of property between $30,000 and $150,000. Money laundering between $30,000 and $150,000, unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. Jones later pleaded guilty in connection with the $80,000 Chick-fil-A theft scheme and was sentenced on August 13th, 2026 to 3 years in prison with credit for time already served.
