The powder tested positive for 2.08 gram of Hey everyone, it's Trent, prior deputy sheriff, patrol sergeant, and canine handler. These incidents are the more common types of calls that we're going to be going to in law enforcement. Not everything is a kidnapping, a robbery, a homicide. In fact, the vast majority of the time it is it is calls just like this one, which are more along the lines of a quality of life issue where crimes are committed that affect people in various communities, generally stemming from somebody that has a drug addiction or a substance abuse problem. We see that a lot with shoplifting, people stealing from stores, breaking into cars, stealing items out of cars, burglarizing homes, and a lot of times people will steal various things, try to sell it just to feed their addiction. In the case of this suspect, these officers obviously located a broken crackpipe in her pocket, two separate containers containing suspected, one of which was suspected fentanyl, which is a very, very powerful opioid. And then the suspect's friend, I believe, showed up after the fact. she was the one that was yelling at her just to get in the back of the patrol car. She ended up telling the officers that the suspect also uses. So, she could have been under the influence of something or a combination of things. Also, she was drinking alcohol. She could have been intoxicated as well. So, there could be a whole host of different reasons why she broke out this window. Some sometimes people use drugs and break into hotel rooms to try to see if they can steal anything or they just want a place to sleep. I don't know what the case was here. Maybe she just didn't even know what she was doing because she was out of it. But we see this a lot and it is very very common. What's also very common is when you go to arrest somebody like this that is cool, calm and collected for the most part upfront while you are interviewing them and trying to get a statement from them, try to figure out what happened. Then all of a sudden when you want to place them under arrest, put handcuffs on them, then they lose their minds and then you end up in a situation like this. And then all you're trying to do as a cop is trying to get them in the back of the patrol car as safely as possible. And sometimes they're kicking and not wanting to go in all the way. And then you're going to have to put them in something called a wrap that you put around their legs so they are unable to move essentially while their hands are placed behind their back. But in my opinion, these officers did a great job. Nobody got hurt, which is always a win. And this is just one call of many and then it's on to the next one. And unfortunately, there are not a lot of resources to be able to deal with this. For the most part, as a cop, you're just going to be going to a call. There's going to be a crime. Somebody's under the influence, and then all we're going to be able to do is just take them to jail. And that's going to be it for this one. See you guys in the next one. She also brought up other officers around the country who had passed away.
