report for the city of columbus ohio
from the dates of march 19th to march
26th
during this time period according to
press releases
by the columbus division of police there
were
three homicides and six shooting
investigations
on friday march 19 2021
at approximately 4 58 p.m
officers responded to a report of a
person shot
at 2565 brentwood lake drive
upon arrival officers found eric miller
sitting on the ground
with a gunshot wound to his hip miller
said he was
outside when someone shot him and he
never got a look at the shooter
there were no other witnesses to this
incident
miller was transported to an area
hospital in stable condition
on march 20th 2021 at 12 19 a.m
ivan netter and to sean hunt who are
both acquaintances
were at the marathon gas station located
at 744
east hudson street an argument ensued
which devolved into a gunfight
both combatants produced handguns and
began firing at each other
mr hunt received a gunshot wound to his
back
he was able to drive away and
self-transported to osu medical center
mr netter received a gunshot wound to
the chest which pierced his lung and
made it unable for him to breathe
officer nathan hargis responded to the
call and found mr netter
bleeding profusely and unable to breathe

hargis rendered first aid to mr netter
which prevented him from suffocating mr
netter is currently in critical
condition
at riverside hospital on march 20 2021
at 2 34 am the victim
donnie alexander was in the rear parking
lot of
2085 west broad street when he was shot
one time in the upper left leg by an
unknown suspect
the victim was transported to grant
hospital by
columbus fire medics in stable condition
the victim was uncooperative and would
not tell responding officers
what happened or who shot him the victim
is expected to survive his injuries
march 22 2021 officers responded to a
shooting
located at 1330 stone ridge drive
apartment
f upon arrival officers located the
juvenile victim
inside the residence he had been shot
one time in the hip
when interviewed the victim described
looking out his bedroom window
and seeing an unknown male dressed in
all black clothing
standing outside his apartment as he
continued to watch
he observed the same male duck behind a
dumpster
then lean out and fire multiple shots
into the apartment
it was one of these bullets that after
penetrating the window
struck him in the hip on march 24
2021 at approximately 6 18
pm columbus police officers responded to
an area hospital on the report of a
victim walking in with a gunshot wound
to his upper torso
columbus police officers made contact
with an additional victim
that was in the car at the time of the
shooting the second victim
tania alea sanguano explained that
herself and mr hemsley
were driving in the area of east
whittier street and studer avenue
when a large white suv driving
erratically came up behind them
and bumped their car mr hemsley got out
of the vehicle and asked why they bumped
the car
that is when the passenger window rolled
down and the passenger pointed a weapon
at mr hunsley as mr hensley started to
run away
the passenger fired three or four shots
striking him in the upper torso
the vehicle then sped away mr hemsley is
listed in
stable condition at this time
for the homicide investigations on march
20th
2021 at 1 58 a.m
patrol officers responded to 3484
wilson woods drive apartment h on a
shooting
upon arrival officers located the
suspect
outside on the walkway unresponsive and
suffering from an apparent gunshot wound
columbus fire medic 12 pronounced the
suspect
at 207 am the victims advised that the
suspect
forced entry into their home at which
time the shooting occurred

the deceased suspect has been identified
as mr alan
lester mckinley mr mckinley was in the
process of committing an aggravated
burglary offense
when he was shot by the residents mr
mckinley died as a result
of the injuries he obtained during his
offense
upon completion of the investigation it
will be sent to the franklin county
prosecutor's office
for grand jury this is the 42nd homicide
in columbus
for calendar year 2021.
on march 21 2021 at 1 14 am
patrol officers were dispatched to 1338
stone ridge drive on a shooting upon
arrival
officers located the victim mr ronald
jones jr
in the parking lot in front of 5185
stone ridge drive south
he was unresponsive and suffering from
an apparent gunshot wound
the victim was transported to a local
hospital by a columbus fire medic 23
in life-threatening threatening
condition despite receiving
life-saving treatment the victim was
pronounced
at 1 52 a.m by the attending medical
personnel
at this time there is no known motive
for this incident
this was the 43rd homicide for 2021.
on march 22nd 2021 at 11
12 pm patrol officers were dispatched to
2074 hampstead drive
north on a shooting upon arrival
officers located the victim
jordan pack unresponsive inside a
vehicle
in front of 2074 hampstead drive north
suffering from apparent gunshot wounds
columbus fire medic 6
responded and pronounced mr pack at 11
19 pm
at this time there is no known motive
for the incident
this was the 44th homicide in columbus
for calendar year
2021.
