what did you got what have you got whoa oh my God pass her up on March 6 2015 25 year old Jennifer Lynn grossback and her 18 month old daughter Lily had just enjoyed a fun visit to Lynn's parents house in Salem Utah around 10 p.m the mother and daughter decided to head home to Springville the mother and daughter were driving their normal route home when the unthinkable happened around 10 30 as Lynn was driving over the Spanish Fork River the car begins to Veer off course striking a cement barrier on the south side of the bridge causing the vehicle to plunge into the freezing cold water below Lynn and Lily were now trapped in a horrific nightmare the next day on March 7th a fisherman was out along the river around 12 30 p.m when he noticed that a red SUV had been flipped upside down and sticking out of the frigid water without a second thought he dialed 9-1-1 but it wouldn't be until First Responders arrive that the heartbreaking truth was revealed what did you got what have you got it back my nose or anything oh man they're both on that side looks like one of them we can try I don't know is it gonna [ __ ] they're two on this side here One's On Top of the other but I think they're I think they're Echo although it's hard to hear there is a faint voice calling out from inside of the vehicle pleading for help we're helping we're coming Eric get down here and re-entry and flip it and let's go guys we gotta keep going with it yeah during their visit to Lily's grandparents Lynn allegedly took the drug clonapin before leaving the home clonapin is primarily used for anxiety along with specific seizure disorders but it remains unclear as to why the mother had taken the medication despite this Lynn's father Chad grosbeck was worried that his daughter wouldn't be able to make the drive home safe due to the drug side effect of drowsiness the concerned father suggested that he should take the pair home but Lynn declined the offer you sure you got where's the winch at [Music] he starts blowing them up I'm up there you need to hook once on this side though anybody here hello [ __ ] there's a bear right inside the crashed vehicle First Responders are horrified to find the toddler Lily hanging upside down from her car seat her head only inches away from the water tragically they also find Len she appeared to have died from blunt force injury to the head and was killed on impact despite the severity of the crash Lily appeared miraculously unharmed in the initial accident but the race against the clock to save the infant's life was just beginning yep anybody yeah thank you suction foreign suspended in the air for 14 hours and surrounded by freezing cold water her life is now in the hands of the First Responders sure if I'll do that you're working where's your scissors girlfriend foreign T is desperately trying to help Lily Breathe by using an oropharyngeal airway device otherwise known as an Opa the device is primarily used to stop the tongue from blocking the Airways but Lily is still not responding come on you have any of these that are hotter we're in Salem we're almost there are you getting a pulse I couldn't feel any come on sweetie what do you want to work is the ambulance races towards the hospital there's no telling how this petrifying ordeal will end but the emergency responders are doing everything they can to ensure Lily's survival turn come on sweetie they're there come on it's not it's not something okay okay we're just pulling in okay I'm Gonna Roll her back okay okay that's all right come on we've been doing CPR on her he's been throwing up a little bit into the river uh underwater underwater okay no treatment began doctors feared that if she survived she would need to spend weeks in the ICU understandably they assumed that Lily had undergone massive brain damage as a result of the harrowing events shockingly this was not the case at all not even a week after being admitted to the hospital staff and family alike were amazed to see that Lily had made a full recovery within a matter of days she was back in the loving arms of her family but although her loved ones were incredibly grateful for her healthy return they were still grieving the passing of Lily's mother Lynn when officers were finally able to remove the submerged vehicle from the river they scoured the car for signs of what might have led to the fatal accident but didn't find any evidence indicating a mechanical failure it was later discovered by the medical examiner that Lynn had a mixture of clonapin and various drugs within her system at the time of the incident all of which can be found in prescription drugs Lynn's brother Garrett grossback explained that his sister was in a separate car accident less than a year prior that required back surgery possibly explaining the painkillers that were found in her car and system
