On June 22nd,
2023, police were dispatched to a
private residence in reference to
possible animal cruelty.
Hey, what's going on, man? Please,
please, please tell me you're going to
prosecute this mother. Please. First
off, I I don't even I don't even know
what's going on. Somebody put a dog in a
garage.
Oh, sorry. I I I had woken up this
morning, came to bring my trash out. The
guy that owns the truck's not here. his
girlfriend lives up there, but evidently
she's been
seeing his other ex-girlfriend, I guess,
was staying up there with the current
girlfriend and had the dog and I guess
she kicked her out and needed to say she
came down the truck, I guess, put the
dog in there supposedly. If I would have
known, I would have taken it out and the
[ __ ] I walk out this morning, she
called on me to take the dog out of the
car, but this morning I walk out,
there's a guy standing front, the doors
light up. I'm like, "What's going on?" I
look, the dog's upside down.
Okay. So, did you see him put the dog in
the car? No. I guess they had called to
pull the dog out of the truck. Somebody
I don't know who they called or
whatever, but I came out the door for
So, how do you know it's their dog?
Because I seen him yesterday. It's not
their dog. It's ex-girlfriend's dog.
Same. The dog that I guess has nowhere
to go. My ex-girlfriend's not here. No,
but the person that she was with is
upstairs while she's doing laundry right
now. And she said she called at 2:30 in
the morning. I'm like, somebody had to
know that dog wasn't there. I'm sorry.
especially that she kicked her out. Did
you see the dog alive in there? No, but
this lady right here told me that they
put the dog in or she put the
ex-girlfriend and she's like, I don't
want to get involved, but she's telling
me every part of the story. I'm like, so
if you knew the dog was over the [ __ ]
thing cuz she actually dropped it off a
day ago with this lady here cuz she had
nowhere to bring it. She watched it and
then I guess they took it back up there
and then I guess now here's the result.
Okay. Well, do this one. Somebody came
when I when I came out the doors were
open and then when I came back out the
door wasn't closed and I had touched the
handle with one finger on the on the
drive. It's on the It's on the driver's
side. You can't I don't even know if
you're going to be able to see
it. It's underneath the It's a pitle.
It's like literally upside down. See the
puppy? No.
I hope to God they prosecute that.
No, you can. Can you see it? No, it's
too dark. It's upside down like this.
How would it even got in that position?
I have no idea.
Honestly, the worst part about this
situation is no one knows that we like
animals and we have a huge [ __ ] yard.
And where do you live? I live in the
house up front. Okay. Big, you know, the
big house and I got a [ __ ] one for a
yard. What would it take? You know what
I mean? It's like And you say they live
up here? She lives upstairs. I think
she's doing laundry right now. But she's
she's got [ __ ] issues. What What's
her name? Anna. Okay. That that's not
the ex-girlfriend.
She's probably going to feed you a bunch
of [ __ ] So,
but I know she had something. I mean,
you're not going to tell me you didn't
know the dog was in there. I don't get
humans like a gift shift. The dog, man,
there's Yeah,
probably five.
Yeah, just be advised there are a large
amount of flies and foul order coming
from the car. However, it's tinted
pretty dark and haven't opened doors
yet.
But like I said, you know, you know, she
told somebody to come down and open the
doors. The doors weren't open. Doors are
open. The dog wouldn't. Yeah. Doors were
wide open when I came off the Do you
know how long more or less the dog was
there for? She says to me that she
supposed to call 911 at 2 or 3 in the
morning. Supposedly since 2 or 3 in the
morning, but I wouldn't even I'm going
to tell you right now if that dog No.
No. For to be around and for
like yesterday around 4:00 she had her
daughter picked up by her grandparents.
I think yesterday I The only reason why
I say that cuz she got her daughter out
of here yesterday at 5:00 in the
afternoon. Give me a
sec. Hey,
Serge. Yeah.
She was just doing laundry. But Hannah
is the new girlfriend of Yeah, the
current girlfriend. The current
girlfriend.
The ex-girlfriend. But she knew about
it.
How do you How do you know if she
exgirlfriends? Because I came out here
and these were she had all her stuff
scattered out like she got kicked out
and she paid her to move in and then the
next night they fought kicked out and I
walk out one night and I hear her saying
why am I paying you when you're [ __ ]
my man and I'm like whoa you know what I
mean that's I'm like too much
information for me but that's basically
what's going on here and I guess she
threw up so she came
down what took place and how long ago
was girlfriend here I didn't see her the
night before. Yesterday she had the dog
in the
morning. Okay. She had the dog in the
morning. Yesterday. So, and she had
dropped it off at like 7:00 in the
morning cuz I asked her, I said, "What
do you see her walking dog?" I'm like,
"What do you know?" So, the dog was
alive yesterday. Yes. Yes. You saw it
walk. You saw her walking and
everything. It must, like I said, it
must have happened right after I seen
her with it cuz she's like, "I hope this
girl comes here."
What happened to her? Where she at?
Who's this? Somebody know?
Okay.
Yeah.
But like I said, they obviously told
somebody the doors were open. When I
came out with somebody out here and then
when I came back and I freaked the [ __ ]
out, the doors were shut. Yeah. So, they
were trying to hide it.
Okay.
Um, where where are they at right now?
You say they get upstairs. How do How do
we How do we get upstairs? How do we get
in contact with them?
That's whether she says she's a
girlfriend or boyfriend, I don't know,
but that's like a relationship. Okay.
But you don't know if the this clay guy
is here.
Hi. How's it going, man?
Did you have a Were you in position of a
dog? All I know I know I I was watching
the
dog the owner came and took her. That's
the last time I saw the dog. Was it a
male or female? I I think it was a girl.
Do you know her name? Who took the dog?
The lady. The lady took the dog back.
Ryan was here. Ryan saw her. Come and
take the drink. Which dog? Which which
lady? The one who lives up there?
Well, not this lady. The the other one.
The woman was homeless. She was sitting
over here. So, the homeless lady is the
the owner. Yes. And you guys don't don't
know her name or anything? I I'm not I'm
not so sure what I felt bad for her. She
was in a really bad she had her stuff
all over the ground. When was this?
Yesterday? Day before yesterday. Day
before yesterday. Okay. No, I Well, I
talked to Brian. He found the dog. Who?
He found the superintendent. He found
the dog. Well, where do you find the dog
at? I I guess wherever the dog is now. I
don't know.
Honey, I don't know. It was none of my
business. No, I know. We He was just
saying that you were the last one with
the dog.
Hello. Hi. How's it going? Hi. Well, all
right. Do you know anything about this
dog? Yeah, I'm the one that called at
3:00 in the morning. Uh back in this st.
Okay.
Uh the
female that has a dog, I don't know her
last name. I just know her first name.
Um, but it looks like she left the dog
in the car.
When did she leave the dog in the car?
That part? I don't know. Um, I know that
I told her to get off of the property.
Um, as well as everybody else, but then
I saw her for the next 2 days or so and
the dog was fine. Um, so I want to say
about a
day about a day. So, whose truck is
that? That's my ex-boyfriend. He's in
Texas. No, your boyfriend. It's my ex,
but he's in Texas cuz my dad's passing
away. So So now you So you're So you're
the owner of the truck right now? No,
it's not mine. It's his. But you know,
how long has you been in Texas for?
About 2 to 3 weeks now. And I'm supposed
to be heading out today. So how Yeah.
How How' the car How' the dog get in the
car? She put him in there. She has keys.
Uh she took the she took a key that I
had here cuz we had a hidden here. Um so
um I asked her for those keys back, but
the car was open. I had my phone. And do
you know her name at all? Sasha. Sasha.
What does she look like? White tall,
skinny. Look like she's screaming. So,
she put the dog in the car. Yeah, I
guess she uh Well, she had told me that
she did, but then like a couple days
later, she's like, "Oh, I see my dog. I
haven't seen my dog." I didn't see the
dog, but then I started noticing a lot
of flies coming out. I like So, all that
time you didn't know there was a dog in
the car? I didn't. Then when I opened
the door, I didn't. And it was right
there.
So yesterday, like I have seizures. I I
tried not to um go overboard. So
yesterday, it took me a while to be able
to give it a call. I didn't know what to
do. I didn't know how to go about it. So
by yesterday, the dog was dead already.
I don't know. I I I I I have no idea.
All I know is that the flies are coming
out the car and it has uh Do you have a
number for this sausage tree by any
chance? This this clay? No.
It's going to what? It's going to pop.
Yeah. Listen, guys. This happens with
humans, too. And you're going to deal
with this at some point. Yeah. So,
should we just drag the P? Sure.
You were not able to put the seat back,
right? That's as far as it goes.
I mean, technically,
you haven't touched anything yet, right?
You mind grabbing my watch. Take it off.
Yeah. I don't want something.
Thank you.
What about your bracelets? Yeah, we can
take those off.
Yeah. What if we can get a wooden board,
you know?
You guys think that they
can throw over them?
21.
21. I had no idea.
I tried pulling I tried grabbing a paw
and then right away something popped
inside of it and I kind of freaked out
really quickly. by preserving the
evidence and and also when I try to grab
it by the collar. They said no about the
towing cuz at some point they're going
to have to get the dog out anyways. So
So it is what it is. You you know what
you might have to do? You might have to
go in there and grab the head and
and the other side and like pushing it
out. Pushing it out. Which way? Oh,
pushing him. The thing is his legs are
jammed there. Yeah, dude. If it's piece
by piece or if it's a hole, just take it
out. That [ __ ]
Is your camera on? Yes. For posterity,
I'll say grab one side.
Oh, thanks.
Oh my god.
Oh, it's coming out. There we go. You're
not going to help us. Okay, let me grab
them.
There you go. Good job. Sorry, puppy.
Okay, we're going to start there. Ready?
Yeah, there's nothing else to do at this
point.
Good job, Pierce. Oh, they got to take
photos.
What does the name tag say? Oh, his eyes
are popping out.
You guys turn it over.
Yeah. Which way? This way. You can do
that. Probably a vehicle. Hold on. Hold
on. Let me jump in there, too. Come on,
Bessie. Get in there. Turn it. Turn it
over. You have to lie next to him for a
size comparison. Oh, yeah.
It's not going to bite you. It's dead.
It's my first one, guys. I got some on
me. [ __ ] A few weeks later, police were
able to locate the woman and a detective
was sent to her location for
questioning.
Miss
Sasha. Sasha. Sasha. Hi.
Sorry, I didn't mean to wake you like
that. I'm Manny. Hi. A couple things
that I wanted to talk to you about in
reference to your dog.
Unfortunately, I'm assuming that you
might know what what happened with your
dog or he is found deceased.
And when you ran the tag, it ended up
coming back to you. So, I wanted to
speak to you about that incident.
Everything right now appears that it was
incidental. It was an accident. And I
was really hoping that I could go ahead
and clear out this case and speak with
you if you're willing to. Yeah. So,
there's there's a couple uninformal
things that I have to do, which is read
read Miranda and things, some forms that
we have to fill out. It's just I have to
do it whenever I talk to somebody. It's
a part of our SOP. Okay. Okay. Would you
be willing to speak to me? I'm going to
go ahead and get that paperwork and
we'll go ahead and talk. Okay. All
right. I'll be right back with you.
Can you give me a little insight of
what's what's been going on? What
happened that week? The week of the 7,
I'm sorry, the week of the
21st in regards to your dog.
I was freaking late. What happened? Was
working late night. You're working late
night. We're biking at
I didn't that's not my fault.
You were working late night and um got
off work went um I went to Jane's house.
I showered and I said James I got to go
get my dog. I the car. He said, "Okay,
not a problem." After I got out of the
shower, I sat down. I was getting fell
asleep. I woke up at 2:30 that
afternoon. The afternoon on what day?
The same day. Which day? 21st. Okay. And
I went straight. He took me straight
there. I didn't see my dog, but I didn't
look in the front. Look at the mom.
Yeah.
Is there is there any
um reason that we didn't get called for
that to go respond over there? I don't.
Okay. You know, I I've reviewed about 5
days worth of video from the motel
that's right next door to the location.
5 days worth of video.
So, for the most part, I already have
the answers of how the dog ended up in
the car, which is why I kind of wanted
to talk to you about this.
Okay. What happened with the dog?
No, I put her in there because I had
nowhere to go. So, are you currently
homeless?
Okay. So, you put her
in, you went to work,
you came back. I went over to my room
and I showered and then you fell asleep.
And about 2:30 in the afternoon, you
found the dog.
No, that's when I woke up. Oh, you woke
up at 2:30 in the afternoon. So, she had
been in there all day.
I know.
How long have you had the dog, Sasha?
6 months old. She's
my She was my kid before my two
kids. Do you Do you remember what time
you put her in the
car? You said it was before work, right?
So, what what time do you normally go to
work?
like around 6:00, maybe 7.
6:00 in the afternoon the day before.
Yes, sir. So, you were 6:00 in the
afternoon the day before. You worked
overnight, came home, showered, went to
sleep, woke up the next morning on the
21st at well, woke up that afternoon on
the 21st. Okay. So the the only thing
that doesn't make sense is the dates,
right? So we responded on the 21st in
the morning and found the
dog. All right. So is it possible that
it could have been a couple days before?
Because I do have on
video you responding on the 19th Monday
to the car at about at about 2:30.
That's the day.
Yeah, cuz I do have video of you going
to the car. No, no, no. It's okay.
I know.
Cuz you you seemed very emotionally
distressed when you found her. And it
was about 2:30 to 3:00 p.m. on Monday
the 19th.
And we found her 2 days later.
Do Do you know who owns the car? Yeah.
Who owns that car? Clay.
Is Mr. Clay out of town? Mr. Clay's in
Texas taking care of his dying father.
Okay. So, that's Mr. Clay's car. So,
we're thinking just as setting the
timelines, right? So, we're looking at
the 18th. I don't know. I don't know.
I'm saying you found her the next day,
right? So, if I saw video, it's okay,
Sasha. It's fine.
It's
fine. So, on the 19th, I have you on
video going over the location and
finding the dog at about 2:33.
which was very emotional and I can see
it on the video. You were extremely
emotional. It doesn't look like you
meant to do this, right? It was a
complete accident.
All right, Miss Sasher, is there
anything else that you'd like to add to
the statement?
The woman was charged with aggravated
animal cruelty. A few months later, she
was also charged with possession of
cocaine and resisting arrest without
violence. She was ultimately sentenced
to a total of 3 years probation and
cannot own or possess any animals. Share
