vehicles during the course of my career
and I've had Pleasant interactions While
others led to arrest but the goal always
remained the same to keep the peace and
make sure everyone involved made it home
safe that night in our first case police
conduct a traffic stop and the police
officer states to her that he saw her
run a red light and when the police
approach the driver he observes that
she's not wearing a seat belt and let me
be clear when a police officer stops you
in your vehicle all they need is
reasonable suspicion and you're required
by law in Most states to present your
driver's license registration and proof
of insurance and if you don't you can
receive citations get fined and have
your vehicle towed the officer clearly
lets her know what she did and further
informs her that her refusing to
identify herself is an arrestable
offense and this is a prime example why
police officers must be knowledgeable
when investigating people and conducting
traffic stops which the officer was and
the driver clearly wasn't and once she
refused to give the officer the
documents multiple times the officer now
has probable calls to arrest remember
the officer had Reasonable Suspicion and
reasonable suspicion is needed in order
to cross the threshold into probable
cuse now probable cause is a fundamental
Concept in the Fourth Amendment it
serves as a threshold for law
enforcement to obtain warrants conduct
searches and make arrest and the driver
made the mistake of arguing her case on
the street instead of in a courtroom and
of course it's all in the officer's body
camera she was then removed from her
vehicle and arrested all because of her
lack of respect for law enforcement and
the disregard for traffic laws now in
casee two out of Titusville Florida we
have an officer investigating a dark
colored SUV and we observe him knocking
on the rear passenger window to get the
driver's attention now right from the
beginning of the officer and the
driver's interaction the driver's
behavior is belligerent and she's not
listening to the officer's instructions
to exit the vehicle and we soon learned
the officer observed her allegedly run
off the roadway and jump the curb and
that gives the officer Reasonable
Suspicion to investigate and conduct the
occupied vehicle investigation now if
you watch the woman closely in her
exaggerated movements it appears that
she could be driving Under the Influence
but that's just my opinion now police
eventually have to arrest her for
resisting because she's not listening
and once she's in the back of the
cruiser she begins to hyperventilate and
thankfully she didn't pass out because
all of this could have been prevented
lastly the officers were great
throughout this whole situation they
never lost their professionalism leading
up to having probable calls for an
arrest that's all I have remember to be
