on Sunday July 16th 2023 Albuquerque officers were conducting a shoplifting operation for several stores when employees at a Walgreens called to report two people shoplifting alcohol employees at the Walgreens gave a description of the suspects and a short time later an officer spotted them in the parking lot actually they Chang the course and theying eastbound Albuquerque Police stop right there come here you yeah you put that stuff on the ground what do I do put it on the ground turn around what do I do what I do turn around what do I do all right you're hurting me okay no one's hurting you hold on what did I do concealing alcohol what sir for what concealing alcohol he just left uh W with no I didn't you didn't no I bought it you bought it while they were in there they told us so you can seal them no do you have an ID on you no I don't even have IDE okay so if I walk you in there will they show me a receipt that you bought alcohol not from here huh I've been had it okay dude I promise all right go use the back of my hand you have any Pockets no I promise dude please I'm going going to jail I don't know yet please all right have a seat the what's that the to underne oh all right she says she doesn't have an ID oh she's claiming she bought the alcohol so she bought the alcohol that's what she's saying yeah yeah there's another mini one couch what's your social health if they want if they claim that I did they could H have that what I have but I I swear Mr I did not buy that here I know you didn't buy it here you walked out with it they saw you they saw you concealing it we have people inside that were watching you the whole time no mister I did but I'm not going to ask you any questions right now okay I'm not you can tell me whatever you want but I'm not ask can question am I going to jail I don't know that yet I got her uh her social okay they like I said they can have it if they want the suspect was identified as 25-year-old Michaela Pesco so what we're doing today is a shoplifting op so there's like 10 cops in the area waiting for somebody to shop from one of these stores the stores are calling us directly when they see it so that's how I know that you did it you can say you didn't but we have people on the phone with us currently 42 tom6 415 look I'm not I'm not I don't want you to try to talk your way out of it okay so when you say he claims I know he said he saw you so there's no claiming it's not like you're getting falsely accused Michaela was ultimately not arrested but was given a criminal summons requiring her to appear in court all right I'm going to take you back I'm going to you're getting um you're going to get criminally summons and you're going to get trespassed from from Walgreens okay can you guys keep an eye on that unit too I got the female in there how's it going who's going to sign off on the trespass where's where's he at oh okay and then if I can get a receipt I can do that real quick for you he'll have to print out the reip so I can get it okay how are you good how you doing nice see you wait um was it the same bottles there cuz we have we have all three of them we have the guy with them yeah so she she handed uh the other guy when they got outside a couple of these bottles um well let me I'll I'll grab that other stuff before I print out a receipt from the other guy yeah I'll keep it right here I know I know like six items for but okay so and where um proprietor that one and then I'll get her to sign it when I cut her and then uh I'll bring one back to you all right cool bottom one bottom one all okay yep [Applause] hi Michaela you're going to be getting s uh criminally summons go and step out you're going to have to go to court if you don't go to court then you're going to have to you're going to get a warrant for your arrest okay step back and close this door are you doing okay okay anything hurt no okay I going to need you to sign this Criminal Trespass right over here what's your name Michaela I added it to the okay your boyfriend's going to jail today he sto too and he's got blue and a more we watching all of you can I have his things he only has like his hat can I have it that's up to him can I talk to him if that's I get to the sign right there careful cuz it's hot right the hood all right go ahead and keep that pen this is your copy P's here there driving somewhere here as I'm going online court records indicate Michaela received charges for aggravated shoplifting and conspiracy to commit shoplifting court records indicate Michaela was released however in December 2023 the case was dropped by the prosecutor with no reason for the dismissal being listed
