[Music] shots fired on 10-4 [Music] four [Applause] got a spike 100 miles per hour so come where do we have a spike set up [Music] approach supervisor spikes 48 he's shooting 48 he's shooting still shooting so come on the rear side at this time gotta have three good tires right now look out for four four four [Music] [Music] oh i can hum it from here where is he right there the so 49 he slumped over might be shot he slept over we're getting closer to avenida exit i can't see him block anymore right here on avenida please get some marshals out you still slept over towards the right we're coming to avenue you got 935 boxing conway two university all right did you head in the opposite direction of traffic oh [Music] all right did you head in the opposite direction of traffic oh [Music] uh [Applause] oh [ __ ] right here [Laughter] good [Applause] you'll be fine buddy [Applause] it's in his arms sure hey give me that other chest still down here you guys check for secondary entries you guys check for secondaries is okay foreign officer darry and jared who lost today it's a huge loss to us and i want everybody to know i love each and one of our officers that go out there every day officer dary and jared went out there today and was serving his state his community the best way he knew how and i love him for that and everyone that's here loves him for that i want you guys to understand that as we get through this we are going to get through it as a as a family a state police family a law enforcement family and i know this community is a struck hard by what's occurred today but there's a few things i wanted to say about officer darry and jared there's a lot more i'd probably say about him but we'll save that for a later time on february 4th 2021 a new mexico state police officer darien jarrett stationed in mexico and demi new mexico was assisting homeland security investigations the officer was initiated traffic stop on a white chevrolet pickup on interstate 10 eastbound near mile marker 101 east of demi new mexico during the traffic stop the driver identified as omar felix cueva 39 years of age fired at least one shot new mexico state police officer darien jarrett officer jarrett was struck and killed by gunfire an hsi agent arrived on scene and notified new mexico state dispatch that an officer was down that our officer was down officer jarrett officer darion jarrett began his career as a transportation inspector with the mexico department of public safety he was certified as a law enforcement officer in december of 2014 and worked with worked with the former mortar transportation division of the new mexico department of public safety in july 2015 he was sworn as a new mexico state police officer where he bravely served until today officer jarrett leaves behind three small children and he was expecting his first child this year all uniformed personnel [Music] okay [Music] you
