On August 17th, 2023, law enforcement officers responded to a major disturbance at the Tampa International Airport ticketing area. A passenger was actively threatening people and throwing personal belongings while screaming profanities. After purposely making her body limp to evade handcuffs, she was transported to the local jail and issued a 1-year trespass warning that forbids her from returning to the airport.
