on Tuesday July 16th 2024 at around 2: p.m. a New Mexico state police officer was out on patrol in Santa Fe when he observed two individuals in the silver Toyota not correctly wearing their seat belts as a result the officer conducted a traffic stop [Music] hi guys how's it going officer good I'm officer Jackson State Police reason for this stop is both of you aren't wearing your seat belt I figured that sorry sir yeah you got your driver's isense registrations on you yes sir while talking to the individuals the officer noticed the passenger appeared to try and hide a red and black backpack underneath his legs [Music] insurance that works cuz uh I left my driver license at home well this is your driver's license oh well I hard one cration or yep how about you sir do you have a driver's license um I have my I that works the passenger was identified as 19-year-old Jesse Angel Treadway Jr all right so here's the deal guys I'm going to give you both the citation for no seat belt okay so you both have the same option you can either go to court if you go to court it's going to be sent up in Magistrate Court you got 30 days request the bench trial or you can choose the penalty option for no seat belt that's 25 bucks and you got 30 days to pay it yeah um where would we pay it at you can pay it online through the [Music] mail.com yeah I could probably pay it online this don't smoke and drive yes sir the driver was released while Jesse and the backpack were taken to the state police office a search warrant was requested for the backpack and was approved by a judge the search revealed a digital scale two vials of methadone fentanyl pills multiple small bags containing what is believed to crack cocaine and black tar heroin along with $636 in cash Jesse was booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center on charges of trafficking Controlled Substances with intent to distribute time 6 distribution of a controlled substance times 5 and criminal solicitation online court records indicate that as of October 2024 the case is still Ong going yeah I'll at the office
