on Monday September 11th 2023 agents with the New Mexico State Police auto theft Unit were called to assist the Bernal Leo County Sheriff's auto theft unit in regard to multiple calls reporting a suspicious pickup truck at a 7-Eleven gas station nmsp agents located the pickup truck with a male subject inside as agents attempted to get the driver to surrender he began to rank the agent vehicles into the Metropolitan Detention Center on charges of aggravated battery on an officer times two resisting evading or obstructing an officer times three and receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle receiving or transferring a stolen vehicle one count of aggravated battery on an officer and resisting evading or obstructing an officer on February 26th 2024 Louie was sentenced to 3 years in the Department of Corrections along with two years of parole followed by 3 years of supervised probation with conditions Louie was ordered to pay fees and was given 272 days of pre-sentence confinement credit at the time of his sentencing
