On July 22nd, 2025, police responded to a TD bank for a report of an impersonation and located a woman matching the description as she was walking out of the bank. Did you present anything that >> could have been Mr. Shu that you're not the person that you think you are that you're saying you are? >> No. >> What's your name? >> Kay. >> Haley. >> Kaye. >> Haley. We have information that there's an attempted imposttor for this customer's account. They were already identified in a different store uh at up in Mawa, New Jersey a couple hours ago. Attempted and did successfully remove money from my account. We contacted the account owners. They said the real person is in their home right now, not in bank. So this is a suspected imposttor with fake identification. Okay. >> This is the person's name that >> correct >> also >> that's not that's what we're being told that this is not the real person. >> Okay. >> Andy right across from >> now you said you spoke to the people that >> we were able to contact the owner. There's two owners of the account. we able to contact the other owner. That owner states that person's in their house right now. >> So the the phone numbers that are attached to the accounting both of those >> we were able to access the phone other party. >> This person's information appears to be compromised. >> So the other account owner right now is bank requesting >> our fraud fraud department situation who then requested we contact the police because we have the impersonator here. got a number. >> So she's suspected this person. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. >> And now I don't know what the actual >> cat number is 64391. >> Imagine that's probably this person's actual picture on >> right >> cuz this is her. >> That picture looks like her. Did you did you say anything to her? Like, um like you told her to wait? Oh, so they were attempting to identify her and then we noticed the account flags all being blocked for fraud. We contacted a fraud department and said there's a person attempting to access funds. They already did today. Um, we contacted the store. They explained what the person looked like. It's match. They explained the story that the person told them for the withdrawal. Same story was match. Um, we told her that she needed to step aside for additional authentication steps. She waited until she saw the lights and then she fled. Mhm. >> Okay. Makes sense. Um, the names matched up to the account. she got the right PIN number, but it flagged that she also uh withdrew $7,868 uh yesterday through a TD bank. In the end, the 35year-old woman was arrested and charged with forgery, false government documents, criminal attempt theft, identity theft, hindering, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
