That's how it stopped. >> [snorts] >> 34 was the New Jersey Echo 12 Sierra Juliet Sierra come back to red. We're we're trying to cross that bridge to see where somebody's getting tested at some point. It's a matter of who we're told. I asked her three different times. So tell we check this. We're going to see her coming out the driver's seat. Okay. in the driver's seat. No. Okay. You said that. Yeah. Can we check the cameras? Is this her coming out? >> Out of the driver's seat. It's her daughter. >> So, >> she's taking his car. >> Yeah, it's his car, >> but she's the one driving. 2125. >> I don't think >> Who's 125 chicken Juliet? Use up whichever one. I don't care. >> Come over here. >> You can just stop right there. Okay. So, >> so you'll just have to explain everything to >> So, I'm going to perform a field sobriety test. Um, does she have any medical conditions that would prohibit her from performing the test? Um, any problems with her eyes? Does she wear glasses, contacts, etc.? Okay. No, she got a surgery on her um Oh, she said if it's relevant that she had a surgery on her knee. >> Okay, that's fine. Okay. Does she have any issues walking around? No. No. No. Uh, USA. No. Okay. >> So, the first test I'm going to have her perform is a test on her eyes. And I'm going to ask her if she can see the tip of the pen. >> Okay. >> And I'm just going to need her to follow the tip of the pen with her eyes and her eyes only. >> Okay. Just her eyes. Okay. >> I'm going to shine this. Uhhuh. What is your plan on anything? Weird, right? One second. Okay. >> So, the next test I'm going to have her perform is a walk and turn test. >> Okay. >> I am going to demonstrate the test. Okay. >> She is not to begin the test until I tell her to begin. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> So, tell her we're going to use this line as guidance for her test. Okay. Okay. So, the first thing I'm going to have her do is Does she want to use the line? >> Does she feel comfortable doing the test in these uh shoes? Okay. All right. So, the first thing I'm going to have her do is take her left foot and place it on that line. She can do that now. Okay. >> Okay. And arms at her sides. >> And now you're going to take your right foot and you're going to touch it heel to toe in front of your left foot. And she is to remain in that position until I finish the demonstration of the test. So, remain in that position and we'll complete the demonstration of the test. do is she's going to take nine heel to toe steps counting each step out loud. >> It's going to look something like this. >> One, two, three. She's going to do nine. >> Okay. >> When she gets to the ninth step, she's going to leave her foot on the ground. She's going to take a series of steps. >> Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. >> So, what would she say? >> That she she can't use her other leg that she has to use the other leg because that's stronger for her because of the knee surgery. >> So, it has to do with the leg. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> That's what she's saying. >> All right. So, did she understand that? >> So, she take the nine I did three, but she's going to do nine. And then she's going to take the series of small steps to turn around and take an additional nine heel to toe steps back, counting in my lap. One 2 3. Can you show her the turn? Cuz I don't think she saw the turn cuz she was focused on it. >> Okay. So, one, two, three, four to nine. >> When she gets to the ninth step, she leaves. series of small steps to turn around to steps back. She can be good. Okay. This water transport the last portion of the test is the one leg stand test. If she has trouble, she can lift that leg in the air. If she can't put weight on it, if that whatever leg she prefers. So, I'm going to demonstrate it. Okay. Okay. lift whichever leg she prefers approximately 6 in off the ground with her toe pointing forward. >> Okay. >> And she's going to count out by 1,00 1,002003 and so on until I tell her to stop. I'm going to demonstrate. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, it's going to look something like this. arms to her sides. >> One or 10,00 1,002 1,003 1,004 and so on until I tell her to stop. Okay. >> She can be put went to the bathroom. >> Okay, she can she's a 25. >> Yeah. 25. >> Yeah. >> So, just explain to her that she's being placed under arrest for driving under the influence. >> [clears throat] >> You good? >> Who's your tab? Right. >> Tap. >> Yeah. One. Um, >> you want uh I guess we all know our partner's cap. Um, Yeah, please. Thank you. >> Yeah, we don't have a partition, so Sarge, is Cap over there? >> Yeah, he is. He's just talking to the boat. >> Sarge. >> Yeah. >> Can Cap jump in with her to transport her? >> Come in >> cuz that's her her partner. >> He's going to stand by. >> Yeah. Just have Tana go with you and then drive up. >> Toana goes in with you and he >> who's out. >> You are. >> All right. I'm sorry. >> No, I'm good. Go ahead. Just bring her up. >> Jump in with Carmen. >> Jump in with Carmen. >> Yeah, >> he's driving. >> I told you exactly. >> Here. Sorry. >> So, I think >> I think we actually issued him the ticket. I don't think it's an arrest though. >> I think he can get a 450 ticket. >> I think he could allow. All right. >> But it's not an arrest cuz it he's I don't think it's an arrest at least. >> Doesn't hurt to call the >> Yeah. Okay. Um, if you want to back up this way, >> I'll probably back up and then >> still have Scott. Um, it's going to be really fun. >> This is cool, man. >> So, what's your game plan? You going to come around this way? >> I'm going to come around this way, too. >> I still have that street blocked off and then we'll just go >> from there. I'll figure it out from there, but I just needed to get out of here. >> This is your ID. >> Okay. >> Uh, you know how much? >> Nothing. Just let me know when you're available, please. As far as 113, Can you put her hair back? airbag. >> Why? What happened? >> Both airbags are poison. The one who gets the face. >> Of course. Yeah. No, >> neither of them. Neither of them. >> But I know she >> doesn't matter. See you soon. >> I think there's good. >> Yeah. Okay. Okay. >> Sir, Officer Trump, Novok Police Department. Uh, here. Actually, just face me this way. You can stand right in front of me right here. Um, just take your hands out of your pockets, place them at your sides. At your sides. At your sides. You can lower them. Just rest them. Okay. So, I'm going to perform a standard field sobriety test on you. Okay. >> Um, do you have any medical conditions that would prohibit you from doing the test? >> I've been diagnosed with certain things, but >> Well, I'm saying do you have any problems? Do you wear Do you wear glasses or contacts or anything like that? >> I have glasses. >> Are you wearing contacts? Am I wearing cause express lane? No. >> No. Okay. >> All right. So, I mean, all I would need you to do is just follow the tip of this pen. Can you see the tip of the pen here? >> I can see the tip of the pen. >> Okay. >> Again, I don't have my glasses, so >> All right. Well, all I need you can see it, though, right? Like you said, >> without my glasses, I see it, but I don't see it. >> I just need you to follow it. That's all I need you to do. >> I don't have my glasses, so I can't see it. >> Well, you just said you could see it. >> I I can see it, but I can't follow it as you said. >> So, if I move the pen, even though you can see it, you can't follow where it's going? >> Not without my glasses. >> Okay. Okay. Well, I'm going to have you attempt to follow it. Okay. >> Without my glasses, I'm I'm a little compromised to be honest with you. >> All right. Well, let's attempt to do it and we'll we'll go. >> Without my glasses, it's a little difficult. >> Okay. You said you could see the tip of the pen. >> I can see the tip of the pen, but I can't follow it is what you ask. >> How can you see it and not follow it? >> Follow it and seeing it is two different things. >> You if you if you >> see it to follow >> exactly. >> No, I need to see it and following is different things. I don't have my glasses. If I wasn't able to see something, I wouldn't be able to follow it. >> That's not true. >> But you're saying that you can see it. But >> I can see you holding something in front of my face. >> That's all I need. So >> So here, look, sir. Can you can see my hand? Right. How about my hand? >> You're holding a light in front of my face. I'm holding hand. So you're asking me >> Listen, sir. Let me talk. Can you see my hand? >> Can you see my hand? >> Officer, I can see your hand. >> Okay. So >> But you're holding a light in front of my face, so >> All right. Is that better? Can you see my hand? I can see I can see a hand in front of my face. >> And if I move my hand here, you no longer can see. >> I'm still looking at you, officer. You need >> I want you to follow my hand, though. >> Okay. >> Can you follow my hand? >> The instruction. I'm instructing you. So, follow my hand. >> So, >> are you going to follow it? Follow my hand. >> The instruction is to follow your hand. Correct. >> I'm asking a question. >> I'm asking the questions. >> I'm asking the question. >> Stop. I'm going to dictate how this is going to go. Okay. Can you see my hand? Yes or no? It's a yes or no question. All right. So, are you refusing to do the test? >> I'm not refusing to do the test. >> So, then just Can you see my hand? >> You asked me a question, babe. I don't have my glasses. >> Okay. That's irrelevant. But you said >> it's not irrelevant cuz you asked me a question. Do I need glasses? >> You said You said you drove I had glasses. >> You said you drove initially to No, no, no. Initially to wherever you were going. >> So, you did that without your glasses. So, you're able to drive? >> My glasses are in the car. >> Okay. Okay. But again, you can see my hand like you said. >> Again, officer, my glasses are in the car. >> All right, we're all right. Forget about the glasses. You can see my hand. >> I can't forget about the glasses. My glasses are in the car. >> Are you going to do the test or not? >> You're subjecting me to a test? >> Yes, I am. >> Right. And I was not driving. >> Okay. >> Are you going to do the test or not? >> Answer the question. Yes or no? Are you going to do the test or not? Are you subjecting me as a passenger to a field sobriety test? >> I am subjecting you to a field sobriety test. >> As a passenger to a field sobriety test? >> You're you're that's it. I'm I'm I'm asking the question. >> I'm asking a question officer. Respectfully. >> All right. And respectfully >> as a passenger. >> Okay. >> I'm not subject to a filthy test. I was not driving the car. >> So, are you refusing to do the tests? >> Sarge. He's refusing. All right. Then we go based on observation and see people. >> He's obviously intoxicated. >> Obviously. >> All right. So, you're going to be placed under arrest as well. >> Let's do the test. >> No. No. You're going to be placed under arrest. You didn't want to do the test. >> I'll do the test. >> No, it's too late now. The whole time I asked you a million times, you're going to do the test. >> You asked me if I was driving. >> I didn't ask you if you were driving. No, I said you said earlier that you drove to wherever you it was that you were going, >> right? And you asked me, >> but before that, the last 3 minutes, I was asking if you could see the pen. You said you could see it, but you're not going to follow it. can't follow it. Asked if you could see my hand. He said, "You can see my hand, but you weren't. You can't follow it." And you just kind of kept going in circles with me and then kind of ignoring me, not performing the test. So, at this time, due to statements that were made, >> keep moving, please. Thank you. >> You're going to be placed under arrest for driving under the influence. >> Okay. >> Okay. All right. >> I don't even know. All right. Sarge. Sarge. So, he's a 25. So, so he's a he's a 25. I mean, he's he was saying he can see my pen, but he can't follow it. Can you see my hand? I can see your hand, but I can't follow it. Okay. I said, "So, if you can see it, like, can you follow the Oh." And he just, "Are you going to do the test?" Sorry. And he just kept going and going and going. He's obviously talking. >> Okay. >> I don't know. >> You good, Cat? >> Yeah. >> Let me call the sergeant. See how >> what happened? No, I was telling him to let me know if my pace is too fast. >> All right, >> you got him. I'll stand by with you until you suspect an adventure. I got you. >> Thank you. >> Thank you. sit down on the bench. They're both going to help. Uh >> well, yeah, I know he's with Karma, so I think they were taking care of that. And I'm sorry for all the DUI stuff. >> He had the uh he had the All right, he's secured deactating. New York. >> After the investigation revealed the truth, the girlfriend was charged with hindering apprehension for covering for the real driver who faced charges for DWI and three counts of assault by auto.
