Welcome to the Prime Analyzer channel. This is what you can expect from this channel, an analysis of videos. That's correct. This is not a reactionary channel. You can expect great commentary and last but not least, an education. Now, it's time to analyze this video. >> Hi. >> Hello, >> Officer Nether. Sarasota Police Department. >> Hello. >> How you doing? >> Good. Are you good? Yeah, I'm going to call you right back. >> Listen, couple reasons for the stop. One, notice the tint looks a little too dark. >> Okay. >> Second, you were kind of going back and forth between the lane lines. You passed over the right shoulder a couple times. >> Okay. >> Have you had anything to drink tonight? >> Yeah, a little bit. >> A little bit. How much is a little bit? >> I don't even a shot. >> A shot. Okay. Ah, click it. Click it real good. Ah, click it. Click it real good. >> Have you had anything to drink tonight? >> Yeah, a little bit. >> Little bit. How much is a little bit? >> I don't even a shot. >> A shot. Okay. Do you mind rolling down your uh back window? >> They don't go down. >> They don't go down. >> Does that window go up? The one on the right? Yeah. >> Yeah. Just halfway. If you put it up halfway, >> that's good. >> Where do you work? >> I just saw him. >> No, I know. But what's what's the restaurant name or bar name? >> That is >> That's it. >> Yes, ma'am. >> In Sarasota or >> Lakewood Ranch? >> Lakewood Ranch. >> Can I open my door >> for what? I'm I'm looking for my ID. >> Okay. Do you think it fell in? >> Yeah, cuz I I just had it. >> I'm trying to help you out. >> No. Oh, both of y'all. I don't care if y'all put the light in here cuz I don't have nothing. But I literally just had my ID. >> I know my ID number. My ID in here. I literally just had it. This is your Visa credit card. >> No, I know that. But I'm telling you, I know my ID number. >> Okay. Are you the registered owner to this car? >> Yes. >> Yes. Okay. >> I literally just had my ID. That's what's pissing me off. So, right right now, cuz I had to go to the ATM. I had to go to the bank. I literally just have my [ __ ] >> You can't pull up my ID number, Uncle. Y'all could search your car. Y'all could do anything. But you pull up my ID number, you should be able to look up my license, right? So, two significant mistakes just took place. Number one, never ever ever ever ever inform the police of any consumption of alcohol when you are behind the wheel and pulled over. Typically, the only reason that a cop would ask if you had something to drink is because the cop is suspicious of you being intoxicated. Number two, unless you do not like having rights, do not ever utter the words, "You can search my car," and you can do anything to a cop. That's completely foolish for those who value personal privacy and do not want intrusion. >> You can't pull up my ID number. Y'all could search your car. Y'all could do anything, but you pull up my ID number. You should be able to look up my license, right? >> Okay. So, this is your you're the registry owner, right? >> Yes. >> Yeah. >> Can you put it down? >> Can you write my ID number >> there? He's going to go look it up. Since you're the registered owner, we can find it that way. >> Can I open this, please? >> Sure. >> I'm looking for my ID. I literally just had it cuz I I wasn't even supposed to work a double. I literally just got out of work. I wasn't supposed to work a double, but I needed the hours. I literally just pulled out my driver. Can I ask what am I being pulled for? Oh, yeah. >> So, the tent was one thing. >> Yeah. >> And then just the way you were driving was a little bit erratic. You kept kind of going back and forth between lane lines. He crossed over the right shoulder. >> And I'm going to tell you >> once I seen the police behind me, I went to looking for my ID. >> Okay. >> That's what it was. I'm searching. >> Okay. >> Like I don't care. Y'all could write me a ticket. I really don't care. >> But that's what it was. >> Okay. >> I literally just pulled out from home. >> Well, where were you going? You just pulled out from home >> to the store. >> What store? >> Right here. Hella, what time do it close? Do you know? >> No, but we saw you. >> We saw you over on Stay over by the car once you get hit by another car passing by. Um, we saw you over on um like up the street. >> Yeah, she's all right. >> No, I don't know. Please pull up. Is that your boyfriend or brother? >> That's my cousin. I haven't even talked to him in forever. >> Okay. >> He just maybe noticed me. >> So we we saw you further down the street on like off 29th and Leon. >> This car? >> Yeah, we got behind. Yeah, that's where we got behind you at. There was a cop car in front of you and then there was a cop. We were a further wrap down behind you. >> Okay. >> So, you said you just had one shot? >> Yes. >> When was that? At how long ago? >> 11. >> 11:00. Okay. What was the >> 11:30? Okay. What kind of alcoh >> whiskey shot? What time did you get off work? >> 11. 11:10 or so. >> Okay. And then you went home. >> Yes. >> At 11:30 and took a shot. And then where did you go after that? >> You >> like I haven't been nowhere else or nothing like that. >> Okay. Have you taken anything else besides that one shot? >> No. >> No drugs, nothing. >> No. >> Okay. Do you I want to run you through a couple tests or exercises just to make sure that you're good to drive. >> Okay. >> Okay. Yes. >> Okay. So, we're going to come back here. [Music] He's just going to turn those lights off so it's not as flash. You can stand right in front of your car for now. >> All right. >> I got to pee. >> Okay. You're going to have to hold on a sec. >> I can't. >> You're You're going to have to um >> if you got I'm telling you I'm peeing now. if it got to do with my goddamn. >> One of the worst ways, if not the worst way, to fail a sobriety test prep is to urinate through your pants with the decibel level of the urine hitting the ground being so loud that even the body cam is picking up the audio of your booze filled urine. >> I got to pee. >> Okay, you're going to have to hold on a sec. >> I can't. You're you're going to have to um >> if it got I'm telling you I'm peeing now. If it got to do with my goddamn >> No, I'm telling you I'm peeing because I wasn't going to be able to concentrate within that. I'm not drunk. I'm not doing nothing or nothing. >> Okay. Okay. Do you have any um problems with your eyes? You wear contacts, glasses? >> No. Nothing. Okay. Have you had any brain injuries, head trauma? >> No. >> Okay. Do you have any problems with your legs? >> No. >> No. Okay. Uh, what's your highest level of education? >> High school. >> High school. Okay. Are you comfortable with your numbers? >> What you mean by >> like counting? Are you good like with your basic numbers? >> Yes. >> Okay. So, if I ask you to count backwards from 58 to 42, can you do that? Do you want to try? >> I wouldn't be able to do that even if I wasn't like had a shot. >> That's what I'm trying to say. >> Um >> like I'm dyslexic so I wouldn't be able to do that anyways. >> Okay. Do you know your ABCs? >> Yes. >> Okay. Would you be comfortable saying your ABCs starting at the letter E ending at the letter P? >> Yeah. >> Okay. Go for it. E to P. >> A E L G H I J K L M N O P. >> Okay. All right. So, what I'm going to do next, I'm going to just check your eyes. Okay. So, you're going to look at my pen. The tip of my pen with your eyes and your eyes only. You're going to track the tip of my pen. Okay. You're not going to move your head. Wes, can you get light, please? A little bit of light. >> No, no, no. Like this light. Can you just hold it up for me? >> Okay. You want me to count the up and down? >> No, no, no, no. You're just going to track the tip of my pen. >> Okay. >> Okay. So, real quick. >> All right. But your hands, you got to come off the car for a minute. Hands got to be at your side. All right. And actually, let's face this way. >> That way. >> This way. Face me. Face me. Okay. So, tip of the pen. Looking at the tip of my pen. >> The tip right here. Right here. Up. Look up. That's the tip. This is the tip. >> Oh, >> yeah. It's the tip. All right. Ready? Your eyes and your eyes only. Don't move your head. [Music] [Music] [Music] Okay. Just with your head, your eyes. Don't move your head. >> Oh, now I'm just Yeah. [Music] [Music] [Music] them hands is like an inner color. Sorry. Eyes on. [Music] eyes on me. I keep moving my head. Sorry. >> All right. Same thing. We're done with that exercise. Next exercise, you're going to stand right there how you are. Feet together, hands to your side. Nope. Right where you are. All right. Turn this way. face that police car. You're going to imagine there's an imaginary line here. Okay? You're going to listen to my directions. I'm going to show you how you're going to complete this exercise. Okay? You're going to stay in that position while I'll explain the exercise. Okay? So, what you're going to do is you're going to put your right foot on the line, left foot left foot in front, heel to toe. Yep. You're going to stay just like that while I instruct you. Okay. >> Yes. >> Okay. Do you want to do this without shoes? Those look a little wobbly. >> All right. So, yep. Perfect line. Left foot in front, heel to toe, hands at your side. What you're going to do is you're going to take nine heel to toe steps. The end of your ninth step, you're going to turn around in a series of small steps and do nine heel to toe steps back. You're going to count each step allowed. I'm going to show you. I'm going to demonstrate. I'm only going to do three steps, but you're going to do nine steps. Okay? >> Okay. So, hands at your side, left foot in front. You go one, two, three. series. Small steps. One, two, three. >> Okay. >> Okay. You're actually going to start with your left foot on the line, front, right foot in front. >> So, just my you said my right foot. >> Yeah. >> Heel to toe. I'm going to move these shoes out of your way. >> Okay. So, do you understand the the exercise I explained them? >> Yes. >> Nine steps. Heel to toe. >> Counting out loud. 1 2 3 4 5 That's okay. >> Yeah. Keep going. >> 1 2 three. Right. >> I said nine steps. >> Oh, nine. Okay. That nine steps. So, let's go back. Okay. All right. Last exercise. Hands at your side, feet together. You're going to choose whichever foot you want, left or right. Okay. You're going to lift whichever foot you choose off the ground six inches parallel to the ground. Okay. Hands are going to be at your side. You're going to look down at your foot. You're going to count 1,00 1,002 1003 until I tell you to stop. >> Okay. >> So, do this one. All right. Timer. >> Okay. Whenever you're ready. 1,00 1,002 1,002 3 oh 4 1,004 1,005 1,006 1007 1008 [ __ ] 1,009 1,000 10 11 12 I don't have great balance. Let me keep going. >> What number I supposed to go to? You're being placed under the under arrest for driving an influence of alcohol. >> Really? >> Hey you. Yeah, you the one sitting on the couch eating chips. I'm not going to search. >> I'm not going to touch you cuz you peed on yourself. >> Nothing underneath. >> I don't care about that. And you shouldn't cuz what if I got anything else? saying the jail is going to find it and then you'll get charged with a felony. >> No, they >> they will find >> What if I got a little 22 up under my [ __ ] Then I put you in the face. >> They put you in handcuff. >> No. Okay. >> Also put you into an X-ray machine. >> No, I could get there. >> Okay. They they'll put you through an X-ray machine. Okay. Just letting you know. >> If they find it, then you'll uh get a felony. So that's fine. >> I'm not getting a felony cuz I don't even have what I have. That's the whole thing. Hey, come get me, please. >> No. >> All right, I got to read this to you. Okay. >> Okay. I know I'm Miranda and I pass everything and everything else. >> Okay, I'm going to read this to you. I am now requesting that you submit to a lawful test of your breath for the purpose of determining its alcohol content. Do >> will you submit to a breath test? >> Yeah. >> Yes. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> So, the driver was charged with the DUI, an open container in the vehicle, dark tents, and failure to maintain a lane. The driver's blood alcohol from two samples was.191 and.196 which exceeds Florida's limit of 008. Did you know that drinking alcohol makes you pee more because it acts as a diuretic, a substance that increases urine production by blocking the hormone vasop prein, which tells your kidneys to reabsorb water. This disruption causes your kidneys to release more water than you are consuming, leading to frequent urination and a risk of dehydration. Alcohol also acts as a bladder irritant, which can stimulate the urge to urinate before your bladder is full. Now combine that with weakened bladder muscles from alcohol consumption, meaning it becomes significantly challenging to hold your urine, and you will get the results that the driver demonstrated prior to taking her sobriety test. Well, that concludes my analysis of this video, and I will catch you on the next one. Peace. >> If you haven't subscribed to the Prime Analyzer channel, you are missing out on great content.
