And then talking to her and it looked like she was going to go straight like back over here. It looked like she was going to go like oncoming traffic. Um talking to her she was more concerned about getting her phone that she forgot at the gas station like I guess back over there. Uh she admitted she was at the wine festival cuz it's her birthday. Uh she had two wines about an hour ago. Um I can smell the alcohol in the car. That's why she ran off the road. >> Have you guys like >> Yeah, we're going to go. >> This is Aris. Aris Aris. Yeah. >> Was 9:34 clean over here? >> Nah, we can >> He called me and said, "Hey, can you drop me a phone?" I couldn't hear. >> All right, what are we doing? >> What we got? >> Uh I want her to be as fast as possible. >> Did she say who she made the call to? >> Uh she said it was her boyfriend. >> Like her shoes? >> Of course she is. >> Let's get her out and we'll talk to her. Confirm that it's not her friend that smells like alcohol or it's not the vehicle that smells like alcohol and then it's actually our driver who smells like alcohol. >> Okay. Where do you go? >> Yeah. >> All right, so now >> Hold on after you like the video, hype the video. Tap the video's description, tap the hype points button, and thanks to you, this video is now hyped. I'm totally against drunk driving as well. However, in the defense of those accused of DUI or DWI, informing the police that you've been drinking, even if you aren't drunk, is a foolish idea, especially if you end up arrested for a DUI or a DWI and want legal representation later. >> I hate seeing you >> I hate saying it. Okay, first how old are you? >> 21. >> You're such a liar. Um I'm 31. >> Oh wow. >> Yeah. >> Welcome back to LA. >> Yeah. So I'm letting you I came back to town. >> Where are you from originally? >> I'll pass on that and what's next? >> Okay. Okay, you ready for the next step? Okay, so for the next one You know the picture I showed you earlier? >> Yes. >> of you? You go ahead and see that line? >> Yes. >> You're going to place your left foot on that line. And you're going to put your right foot right in front of that one, touching heel to toe. Just follow the line. You're going to keep your arms to your sides. >> Can I Can I do it over here? I don't want to >> Yeah, that's fine. Okay, you want to use this line right here? Okay, you're going to keep your arms to your sides. You're going to stay in this position until I tell you otherwise, okay? Okay, so for this test, you're going to take nine heel-to-toe steps on that line. >> Okay. >> And with each step, you're going to count it out loud. You're going to look at each step and stay in the position until you are, okay? And then at the very end you're going to take a small series of steps to come back on that same line, taking the nine heel-to-toe steps. Again, counting them out loud, looking at your feet. >> Looking at your >> Yeah, so you're going to look at your feet. I'll do a small demonstration. But you're going to keep your arms at your side, okay? Where you're going to take that small series of steps to come back, keeping your lead foot planted. You're going to come back on that same line. One, two, three, until you're done, okay? >> How many steps? >> It's going to be nine heel-to-toe steps forward Do you understand all the instructions so far? Can you get back in the position? >> It's completely foolish for these police officers to use a lane of highway traffic to conduct a sobriety test. Performing a sobriety test on a highway is dangerous for both officers and motorists due to environmental hazards and traffic risks. While these tests are a standard tool used by law enforcement to establish probable cause for a DUI or DWI arrest, the conditions on a busy highway often compromise both physical safety and the accuracy of the results. >> Okay, get back in the position where they're touching your toes. Okay, did you understand all the instructions so far? Okay, if you're ready, you may begin. Okay, just relax for the next test. What do you do in Phoenix? >> I'm a corrections officer. >> A corrections officer? >> Yeah, but still a beer. Yes. >> For the bureau? >> For the For the government. >> The FBI? >> Yeah. >> Okay. What do you do as far as >> I I can't really say. No, I really can't really say cuz they're like They're like You know. >> I understand. >> No, like you know. >> How long have you been doing that for? Three years? >> I was in a private. >> Huh? >> I was in a private. >> Oh, okay. >> from the private I went to Okay, so um I know you guys get paid, but you guys don't get six. >> Uh-huh. How many guys get six? Hey, everybody gets six. Like the the we we jump from from So, we start at a six, seven, eight, nine, 10, 11, 12. At 12, it's a back. >> 1,200? >> 1,022. And then back again. >> All right, you ready for the next one? Okay. So, for the next one, it's going to be the uh you're going to put your feet together, arms at your side. And you're going to lift your right foot approximately 6 in off the ground with your right and left. You're going to lift that one approximately 6 in off the ground. >> Okay. >> And you're going to keep that foot parallel >> Mhm. >> to the ground, keeping your knees straight. Don't put a bend in them or anything like that. And you're going to count in the manner 1,001, 1,002, 1,003, etc. until I tell you to stop. And the whole time you're doing this test, you're going to look at your toes, keep your arms to your side, and again, keep it the 6 in off the ground. >> Okay. >> Mhm. >> Do you have any questions? >> No, but I'm really nervous, so I'm nervous. >> Okay. Do your best. Are you ready? You may begin. Okay, you can relax. On your right side, Put your shoulders back. >> Hey ma'am. So for the next one, can I just have you turn around? Just put your hands behind your back. And then right now you're going to be arrested for driving under the influence. And then the rest of them. >> So um >> Just go ahead and hang tight. >> Okay. Bye-bye. See you. She's not driving. Can you get her like something? >> Uh I can have her and see if she has a friend to come drive, but we'll figure that out in a little bit. All right, so go ahead and go right over here. >> Get her out of the way. >> Hey, you don't have any Go ahead and take a seat over there. Watch your head. >> Mhm. >> Okay, now really quick, can you just open your mouth for me the way I can go ahead and make sure you don't have anything in there. Lift your tongue, please. Okay. Thank you. Coming out. >> Based on reliable sources, the suspect was arrested and charged with DUI and improper lane usage. If a correctional officer is charged with a DUI, the consequences range from administrative discipline to immediate termination, depending on department policy and the specifics of the incident. While some departments have a zero tolerance policy for any criminal arrest, others wait for a conviction or evaluate the case based on internal conduct codes.
