Amen. Nevada versus Manuel DC49486. Good morning, Mr. Ruiz. You were arrested for two counts of open murder with use of a deadly weapon. The court did find assisted for your arrest. We need to hear from the district attorney's office today and then hear from the public defender. Your honor, it's the state's understanding the public defender would like to pass this to the department. That is correct, your honor. I would like our homicide team to handle this case personally. So, we're asking for two days to the department. So, Mr. Ruiz, uh, this court will be holding you on no bail. I am going to send your case to the department that will ultimately be hearing your case going forward and you will have your valinous hearing at that point. That court date will be June 12th at 8:30 in department 14. Thank you. Manuel Diaz Ruiz, also known as Sin City Manny, a Las Vegas YouTuber, was charged in the double murder case involving a couple who were also YouTubers named Finny Dele Legend and Bubbly, whose real names were Robert and Tanisha Finley. If you noticed, the judge in the video I just played used the words open murder to describe Manny's charges. The reason that the judge describes Manny's charges as open murder instead of a specific charge is because the prosecutors have not yet determined what specific charge the prosecution wants to apply. Basically, the prosecution has agreed to apply a charge relating to murder, but hasn't described what type of degree of murder in this case yet. Let's take a deep look into the charges that have a high probability of applying to Manny in this case. First-degree murder is defined as intentional, deliberate, and premeditated or occurring during the commission of another felony, felony murder. Well, according to the evidence gathered from Manny's YouTube channel, Manny mentioned that he was going to kill Robert Finley on multiple occasions, indirectly and directly. Mentioning that you are going to kill someone alone is a threat alone, and if carried out, it proves intent. Manny traveled in a stalkerish fashion to the exact location where Robert and Tanisha were after Manny received information that the couple were located on the strip of Las Vegas. Gathering reconnaissance on a person solely to carry out a killing of someone is evidence for premeditation and strategizing the intent. All of the requirements for first-degree murder appear to be utilized in the actions that Manny carried out in this particular crime. Second degree is defined as the unlawful killing of a human being with malice of forethought, but without the premeditation or deliberation that characterizes first-degree murder. This charge could be a more suitable charge that the prosecution might seek for Manny in the killing of Tanisha alone because the threats, intent, and premeditation were typically towards Robert Finley. Remember, this is one incident that includes two victims. So in the perception of law, the suspect will face separate charges for each victim. So the charges for each victim may or may not be exactly the same. In order for the prosecution to seek a first-degree murder charge for both victims, the prosecution would be required to prove that Manny had intent and premeditation for both victims. There is more evidence from the online threats and actions of Manny that supports Robert's killing as a first-degree murder charge because to my knowledge, Tanisha didn't have direct threats solely towards her. I am not ruling the firstdegree murder charge out for the killing of Tanisha. However, there must be some type of credible evidence that would support the charge fitting the crime. Let's recap the charges. Murder one for Robert and murder two for Tanisha. To my knowledge, Manny was a felon. And if that is proven to be true, there is a high probability that Manny will face charges related to illegally possessing a firearm along with other lesser crimes such as assault and more in relation to his actions involving using a deadly weapon. Well, this concludes my prime analysis of what charges I believe that Manny will face during his trial.
