Welcome to the Prime Analyzer channel. This is what you can expect from this channel, an analysis of videos. That's correct. This is not a reactionary channel. You can expect great commentary and last but not least, an education. Now, it's time to analyze this video. On December 19th, 2024, officers in Panama City, Florida, were dispatched to a region's bank in reference to a woman attempting to cash $3,000 worth of savings bonds. >> Where'd you get these bonds? >> Um, I met somebody at the store and they asked me, "Could I do this? I don't I don't I don't even know what I'm doing." >> So, they made it out in your name? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Okay. Do you know who gave it to you? >> No, I don't know. I know their name. >> Okay. Did they instruct you to like send money back to them after >> cashing it out? Did they give you like an account number? >> Just where to meet them at? >> How do you know that these are fragile? >> We work with these every day. It's very obvious. The color, everything. >> Okay. >> The IDs you have. Did they give you this ID, too? Is this your actual ID? >> That's okay. Um, do >> you have like a uh another office that isn't being used or anything that we can >> Yeah, >> that way we're not out in your lobby and >> so obviously I don't know what exactly it's been explained to you or not so far. They called us about some kind of bonds or something that you were trying to cash or deposit. >> Okay, what's going on with those? >> Um, I met somebody at a store and we just been talking for two weeks and he was just like he asked me to do them. I didn't know what I was doing. I just told him I help him out. >> So, we asked you to deposit these or cash them? >> Cash him and meet him later on with it. >> What's his name and phone number? >> Um, I don't have his phone number. I only know his name. >> How did you How's he been How you been communicating? >> Yeah. >> Oh, Instagram. >> Just through Instagram. Can you show us the Instagram account? >> Oh, sorry. My phone is off. It's not working. >> Well, you were talking to somebody when I saw you outside to >> I was talking to this phone. phone. >> Which phone is that? >> This is my other phone. This don't have the Instagram. I was talking to my sister. >> Who can I ask who you were talking to when I stopped you outside? >> This one? Oh, my um boyfriend. >> The guy that that you're talking through the Instagram. How did How did How did you meet him? >> He was at a store. The black store. >> What's it called? >> Oh, not the black store. It's a store um by the fairground. >> Okay. >> The one right there on the corner. >> Okay. They call we call it back. >> You all hang out? >> I never I never hang out with him. >> And then he just gives you tells you like how how did he give you these? How did you get these? >> Oh, he um dropped them off my work. >> Your mailbox at work? >> No, my mailbox at home. >> Okay. >> He dropped off my mail. He told me dropped them off. They were there when I got off. >> In my perception, the problem is not particularly that the suspect needs to get her li straight. The issue I see is that she should have practiced more on making the lie believable. This message is for the scammers. Why not put more thought into the hypothetical dynamics of failure? You know, the what if I get caught scenarios? So, I'm supposed to believe that the guy that you were talking to for two weeks that you supposedly met while you were out at a store was able to have access to your mailbox, which means that he knows your home address. However, you don't have the guy's phone number and all of this is occurring during the relationship that you have with your boyfriend. Ma'am, stop. You're either totally involved with the creation of that scam or somebody totally blew your back out and enticed you to go to the bank and cash some federal documents printed on Xerox paper. >> Oh, he um dropped one off my work. >> Your mailbox at work? >> No, my mailbox at home. >> Okay. >> He dropped off my mailbox. He told me to drop them off and it was there when I got off. So, what was the what is it? So, how much money were you supposed to give him? All 3,000. >> He didn't tell me anything about I don't know how much money on there. I don't know. That's my It's my first time. >> You You got to realize like obviously they're somehow flagged, right? >> Yeah, I know. >> There's something going on with them. So, we got to put all the pieces together to, you know, figure this out because right now, I mean, you're you're in possession of, you know, fraudulent documents that you're trying to pass. Okay. >> So, I mean, honestly, it's probably going to be your best policy. You know, I can't we can't force you into this, but uh you know, I find it hard to believe that some guy just put three checks. >> Yeah. I'm saying we've been talking for several weeks narrowing down. I only see him the first time. >> So So what's his name? >> His name is Octavius Johnson. >> Octavius Johnson. Is he Jamaican? Is he Jamaican? Is there a reason he was saying he wanted you to do this? Are you willing to talk to >> anybody? >> Well, I like I said, I'm not I You're not under arrest right now, but we have to figure like I said, we have to put all the pieces together. Okay. >> You're saying Octavia Johnson, right? >> Yes. Octavius. >> Octavius. >> Okay. You know how it can you write down his name for me? If I know how to spell it. This should be >> His Instagram wasn't his name. So, >> do you know his Instagram name by chance? >> So, how many banks did you try this at today? >> This is my first time. >> Okay. They said that you've went to other places today. Wind Haven. Thomas Drive. >> Thomas Drive right here. >> Yeah, that one. Okay. She's been going through all the branches. So, we knew she was coming here. We started I want to say probably two months ago. So, it's been this area. >> Okay. Did she What did she tell you when she came in? >> Just about to ask. >> So, if it didn't work at the first one, why would you go to multiple? >> Oh, he told me if it he said it's probably just the that one. So, he told me to try somewhere else. >> Okay. And how do you know this guy? >> We met at a store. The back story of them talking to each other is changing. >> Does one of those look like him? Like >> the one without a picture? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> This is a real one. >> That's a real one. >> So you can see the color is way different. Yeah. And it doesn't have that. >> Look at the print, too. That's like an old school typewriter print. See >> how blurry that is up there. >> Oh, yeah. This up here is terrible. >> See how it's facing and everything is too. >> It's not absolutely corded. >> Yeah. That's like a They stole the image off of like the envelope. That's why it's about the >> Mhm. >> All right. How many phones do you have? >> Two. All right. If you could just put them right here. We're just, like I said, while this is ongoing. >> That's fine. Um, do I need to call anybody? >> Do I need to do what? >> Do I need to call anybody? >> Not right now. >> Now, she had a chance to get away with making the attempts to cash the fraudulent check at the previous locations that she was at. However, she kept pursuing the matter. Like, really? You didn't think that the last bank location wouldn't report you to the other locations? Especially when you have a check that looks like it was made by the Parker brothers. Come on now. The girl is so nervous her speech is impaired. She is shaking. She actually didn't have any expectations that she would be caught with this phenomenally stupid scheme, it is laughable. And one more thing, if the police ever ask you for you to put your items down, you should know what's next. >> How many phones do you have? Two. All right. If you could just put them right here. We're just like I said, while this is ongoing. >> That's fine. >> Do I need to call anybody? >> Do I need to do what? >> Do I need to call anybody? >> Not right now. >> I'm just asking. >> Is there any way that he would come up here and meet you? >> Probably. >> Probably not. >> So, y'all talk exclusively through Instagram? >> Yeah, we talk. We haven't been talking recently. But we just started back like this week. >> Is he Is he Jamaican? >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> So, I don't know if you gathered that these are fake. >> Yeah. Now, >> okay. So, right now you're going to be placing arrest for right now. >> Yes, ma'am. For right now. Like I said, you give us, you know, something where we can say that, you know, you you didn't have anything to do with it, but right now it's just it just looks like, you know, >> I mean, you're giving us a name, but in this not much, you know, I mean, to go off of >> it somewhere. >> Yeah, we're about to go to the big time jail >> and then uh >> will you package those for me? >> So, getting processed and everything. >> Yeah. So, um, so once we get out of the car, I I'll stay there the best I can. Okay. >> 32. >> So, do you have any to wrap it up here? >> I'll try to explain the best I can. >> I need no questions honestly cuz I'm going to jail. I don't want to go to jail, but I'm going. So, >> yeah. But like I like I said, the the only thing that can help you is honesty. 82. I got that. >> You're acting in something that's fairly I don't know if you've ever done it before. >> No, this is my first time. And he told me something happened like this in Dothan with this girl and he just left her. >> Well, that that's why you know you got to help us find him. >> I I gave y'all what I got. >> I mean, he said he was going to come see me later on. That That was about it. >> What does he drive? Um, I never I didn't see his car when I was at the store. He was still in the store when I left, >> right? >> Does Does he work at that store? >> You just work there? >> No, I don't work there. I was just there. >> Okay. You just happen to meet him there? >> Yeah. >> Like I said, I mean, you're kind of >> you're in a spot and I mean, we want to help you out. Uh, >> cuz right now he like, you know, everything's >> kind of on you without us being able to say, "Okay, well, you know, he put you up to this or something like that." >> Mhm. >> You see what I'm saying? So I don't want you to, you know, to catch all this stuff because >> you said, you know, you tried it here, which is its own charge. Technically, if the county wants to charge you for the one on Thomas Drive, they can charge you for that. And then in Linhaven, they're saying >> I haven't been to Lin Haven. >> Okay. Well, they're saying that you were in Linhaven. I don't >> I was >> That's my first No, I just now came out here. It's not you. You ain't got nothing to work. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Cuz we can't make that charge anyway. >> Yeah, that >> But they're saying that they have you on camera at those two locations today doing it. >> Oh, no. Just that one in here. >> That's fine. If that's what it is, then you have to worry about this one. >> But they're digging into it because they got to do their due diligence. Okay. >> So, um, >> so I be able to bond out tomorrow. >> Yeah. Yeah. You'll see the judge in the morning. >> You'll see the judge in the morning. They'll give you a bond and you'll be able to bond out. Okay. >> Um, >> now if you're still willing and maybe something comes to your mind and you're willing to talk like I I I'll have a detective come talk to you >> and that that can do only that can only help you. >> I don't know anything else unless I get on Wi-Fi around my phone. That's the only thing. >> If you if you think anything before before get out of your business before that sometime. As a result of her bold scheme, she now faces serious charges, scheming to defraud and uttering forged banknotes. >> OMG, she had a better chance handwriting the check on notebook paper. Seriously, this girl printed a fraudulent federal document from a basic Hulip Packer DeskJet printer and thought she was about to get lucky. The cop said that the check had typewriter print on it. Who in the world is using a typewriter in 2025? Listen people, let me talk to you for a second. It's not worth it. Attempting to cash a fraudulent check with an amount that the average working person in America would make from at least two pay periods, you are risking receiving federal time, state time, and a criminal history that would prohibit you from obtaining certain jobs for the duration of your life in this country. Hey, I'm just looking out for your best interest. If you want to keep doing check scams, don't let me stop you because after all, you're giving me something to talk about. Well, this concludes my analysis of this video. I'll catch you on the next one. Peace. >> If you haven't subscribed to the Prime Analyzer channel, you are missing out on great content.
