Have you ever wondered what the cops are looking for on a sobriety test when the cops shine a light in someone's eyes as they follow the object with their eyes? Well, the police use a flashlight in the horizontal gaze nestagmas test to check for involuntary jerking of the eyes, which can be a sign of alcohol intoxication. The officer moves the light or another stimulus in front of your eyes to see if they jerk, a condition called nestagmas. You You're being very unsucc >> The driver was charged with DUI, resisting arrest, obstructing the administration of law, and aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer. Now, allegedly, the aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer charge was due to the cops alleging that the suspect tried to bite the officer. I personally didn't see evidence of the suspect trying to bite the officer on the body cam footage specifically. I didn't see it on this particular body cam footage. Perhaps that situation occurred on other footage. I don't know. You probably know though that the walk and turn test, aka the heel to toe test, checks for a person's balance and coordination. However, did you know that the most important dynamic that the officer is gauging for is your ability to follow instructions?
