Welcome to the Prime Analyzer channel. This is what you can expect from this channel, an analysis of videos. That's correct. This is not a reactionary channel. You can expect great commentary and last but not least, an education. Now, it's time to analyze this video. >> Stay in the car. >> Stay in the car. >> What are you putting me up for? >> It shows you're suspended. >> I'm not suspended. I just sent out a check. I'm not going to >> let me see your driver's Let me see your driver. >> Nothing to see, bro. It's nothing to see. >> Let me see your driver's license. >> Call my case manager cuz I just sent out that check. >> Your driver's license and proof of insurance. >> Then we have a whole your driver's license and proof of insurance. But you just pulled your reason for pulling me over. >> You feel the signal go around the truck and No, I didn't. You just lied. Watch out. What are you doing? What? >> Yes, she is correct. The cop did just lie. The cop's primary reason for the Terry stop was the plates coming back to a suspended registered owner. Not any other reason like a traffic violation or the cop would have mentioned that initially. >> What are you doing? I'm closing my cond. >> Okay, but you didn't know. Bro, watch out. Let me close my door. >> No, you're not closing. >> Let me close my door. You're your door. >> Do you have your driver's license yesterday? >> What do you need my driver's license for? >> I'm conducting a traffic stop. >> That's why I need to identify who you are. >> Shut the door so I can get my stuff. No. What are you opening the door for? >> You have a driver's license. >> And I will be wrong as this pool. Like I'm not doing it. >> Okay. What's your name then since you don't have your driver's license? >> Who told you I didn't have my driver's license? You just >> You haven't produced it. >> I don't have to produce you with anything. No, I don't. I pulled him over to get gas. >> If a cop is informing you that if you do not identify yourself, you will be arrested. Then despite your beliefs of this cop being wrong or right, the logical choice would be to identify now and take the matter to court later. So the question is, do you believe that the driver is lawfully required to identify? Stay tuned for the answer at the end of the video. >> What's your name then since you don't have your driver's license? >> Who told you I didn't have my driver's license? You just >> You haven't produced it. >> I don't have to produce you with anything. I'm like done. Put the phone away. >> What's your name for the camera? >> Put the phone away. >> Do you have ID or not? >> Yes, I do. >> I need to see your ID. If you don't show me your ID, I will arrest you. >> Well, can you shut my door? >> No. >> I'm about to keep calling until I get a hold of somebody cuz they just sent the check out for me. There's nothing for me to tell you. I can give you a piece of paper to tell you that they took the check out, but there's nothing else that I can get for you. >> Okay. Well, I need to see your ID. >> Fortunately, I'm not giving you something else. Not providing any real ID. I can provide you with something else. >> Is that what you're getting? Your ID? >> No. >> Huh? Okay. >> Unless you're getting your ID, quit reaching around the car. >> Okay. Mr. [Music] Keep rolling in. Sorry. >> Hey, last chance. Come over here. >> I'm telling you, I'm providing you with my information. That's up. >> Do you have your ID or not? >> That's right, dude. But get the back. Like, you're my life. I'm a black woman. You're always shooters. I'm trying to quit reaching around the car. Did you just not tell me to provide you with my ID? Yes or no? Standing here minutes. Yes or no? Right. Where is it at? Yes or no? I got my album. >> I can't breathe. >> Stop spinning on people. >> I can't breathe. >> We have an ambulance here. >> Now, earlier in the video when I mentioned that the police officer was lying, remember that police officers are legally allowed to lie to suspects during interrogations and investigations according to court rulings such as Frasier vers Cup in 1969. That's correct. These are the very same people that like to say to the citizens that telling the truth will go a long way with them. Now to answer the question, was the driver lawfully required to identify? And the answer is yes. The driver is lawfully required to identify. A police officer has reasonable suspicion to initiate a traffic stop if the registered owner of the vehicle has a suspended or revoked license with exceptions. In a nutshell, the police officer will run your plates. If the plate has a registered owner listed as suspended or revoked, then the police officer will then retrieve the registered owner's picture from the DMV database. And then, while the cop is observing the driver, the cop will then see if the driver matches the picture prior to stopping the vehicle. The exception to this are mismatched appearances. If the officer observed that the driver looks significantly different from the description of the registered owner like such as an elderly man versus a young woman, then reasonable suspicion may no longer exist to stop the particular vehicle. So to all the people who are out there driving on a suspended license, just remember that a cop can see your picture before the cop confronts you on the stop. So, they already know that you are the registered owner and they just want to confirm it with your identification. And that concludes my analysis of this video and I'll catch you on the next one.
