No. >> Okay. >> I just came here. >> You just came to calm everybody down. >> Yeah. She the granddaughter, she went to the class and the mom just she just came home and you know how they when they teenager they don't want to listen. So the mom just was telling her, right? So they called me. I was at work. So I came over here and I told her she got >> You must You must work close by. How'd you get so >> Roy Manor? Okay. >> Miss Hall. >> Okay. >> Okay. So I told my daughter right there to come. >> Are they both still in there? >> Yeah. One here and then granddaughter upstairs. I need to sit down. >> Okay. >> And I can't be out. Ain't nothing like but like we was telling the um like I was telling my granddaughter, she got to listen. You s this your mom. Every day she telling me something about her. You know when they get with different people they think they can do what they want to do. >> Old daughter. My daughter 36. She's 36. Her daughter, she just turned 19. >> Yeah. And she went to the class. I understand what she was saying. When you go places, you got to come home and she feel like her mom's home. Won't you say something to her? She wrong. I'm taking She feel like I'm taking up for my daughter. That's that pool. But I'm not. >> I'm just trying to get it right. Right. >> You don't have to call the police for this. call here. >> Yeah. And just because you crying, screaming and holling, crying, that don't get no attention. What that song? >> That don't solve nothing. >> You got to solve a root problem. >> Yeah. You got to be You got to listen to your mom. >> Let me talk to her really quick. Mom's upstairs. You said >> that's our mom right there. >> Mom's right here. >> Like to listen. >> Mom, can I talk to you here real quick if you don't mind? >> All right. Eight. >> Hey. >> Yeah. >> All right. So, what's going on? What happened? >> She disrespectful. She got to get out of my house today. She got to go. >> She disrespectful. She don't like to hear the truth. >> She got to go. She got to go. >> Okay. So, what? So, I She went to the classics. So, it was an issue. >> Yeah. She went to the classics >> and Orlando, right? >> Yeah. She taught my stuff. Now, asking me, not only that, it ain't even Yes. It ain't even about the shoes. She disrespectful period. I pay two make sure both of both of us out. I spoke every day. I call MY MAMA EVERY DAY ABOUT HER. Don't help me with nothing. And I'm tired. She disrespectful. She got to know. She got to know. >> Foundational black Americans. This is for my FBA family. Never call the police on your family, especially the immediate family that you live with, unless you are willing to have your family members or yourself get charged, go to jail, be unalived, and or be injured, no matter what happens in your residence. Try to resolve the issue rationally among yourselves, especially when it's over something as minor as some dusty porch shoes. >> So, when you confronted her about the shoes, what did she say? >> Oh, she cussed me out. She cussed me out. Oh, I bought them for you and that's why you struggling now. She cussed me out. Told me to kiss her behind and all. I want her out my house. >> Okay. Has this happened before? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. She always call police >> and I told her I said you can't be calling the police. What you calling the police for? >> I make sure she have a car. I don't even make this type of money. >> Right. >> But I make sure >> she don't help me with nothing. I pay all the bills by myself. This one? >> Yes. And I when I gave it to her, it was brand new. >> She wrecked it? >> Yes. >> All right. Let me talk to Let me Where she at? I'll go I'll go to her. You can hang out with my partner. >> All right. >> Tell him to come. Tell him to come down. >> These people want you upstairs. >> I need a little man behind you. >> Huh? >> I'm talking about your pocket behind you. >> Ka, you coming down? >> Bring some shoes so I can talk to you outside. What's going on? >> I just got back home this morning and I went to go talk to my mom first thing to tell her I had a good front and she um immediately just asked for all her stuff back. But the thing is, we both borrow each other things and I don't act that way, you know, when she borrows my stuff. So, she asked, "Were her shoes dirty?" And I told her the truth and I said, "Yes, I messed them up." But I can't bring a pair of shoes from having a night out. I know. I clean I cleaned them and I offered to buy her another pair cuz I bought these and um she um that's why they're there now cuz I got them from my car and she came down here and she threw them on the floor and I was like, "Why does it take all of that? Why you have to do all that? It doesn't it doesn't take all that. She got upset and I was like, "Mom, you always want to fight with me and we were just having a conversation the other day and I told her this is the only time you can ever conversate as if we're arguing and I told her that." So, she um I guess she my aunt got here and she told her I cussed her out and all of this. She was getting upset and I started yelling and I closed my door. So, she came in the room, she ripped my shirt and pulled my wig off, but I just put it back on. This is the result of teaching your child to value material things over proper conduct, integrity, and standards. If the mom operated like the daughter just explained, then the mom must perceive material things as the highest priority. If the mom allegedly chose to strike the daughter because of the condition of the shoes, even if the mom allegedly struck the daughter because the daughter spoke to her in a disorderly manner, the mom still has a character flaw. Now, this is the reason why calling the police in these particular instances is a bad idea because the daughter has provided the police with enough information for the police to create probable cause to arrest the mom if the mom's statements are consistent with the daughter's statements or if there is any evidence that can prove the daughter's statement is true. Remember that the state of Florida presses charges in a domestic v case despite the victim's preferences. So now that the police have been notified that there was physical contact, someone must be arrested for domestic v. >> So she came in the room, she ripped my shirt and pulled my wig off, but I just put it back on. >> Okay. Um, did she hit you outside of that or? >> No, just pull my my wig off and scratch me and then like it was something around my neck and it was like that. >> All right. Do you have any injuries from today? >> No. >> Okay. Um, did a little scratch mark on your neck. How'd you get that? >> I told you it was something there and she was tugging me so it was kind of choking me a little bit but >> So what was it that was wrong? >> I don't know. I know. Maybe it was my wig. I don't know. >> Your wig? Mhm. Cuz it was off. >> Yeah. And so I had like a band on it. >> Okay. >> Kind of like that. Like a band. >> So it probably got right here. >> Okay. And she pulled it. >> Yeah. She was I was like doing this. So like it was a little force. >> Where did this all take place at again? >> Upstairs. Um in the um hallway. That's when I called the police. My grandma was on the phone the whole time. >> Okay. Um All right. Let me see your hands. Let me see. Go like this. Okay, I'm going lift up your sleeve really quick. And the other one. All right. All right. Give me a second here. Just hang tight. Just hang out right here. Okay. Don't move. >> What is the the classic? Is it a a tournament? >> It's like Yeah. No, it's like a um a college. >> Oh, it's a college game. >> Yeah. But then we go against friends. Oh, it's kind of like when we have back of Pokei, the monk ball. >> Mhm. >> So that's like such a special game they have to play it in Orlando. >> Yeah. Is they have like different events and stuff like that. I was supposed to go back today. >> Oh. >> After I got off work. >> So here's a big thing. Whenever Coke man is playing >> Samu. >> Famu. >> Who that play? Yeah. Fam. >> And they always have that every time they play each other. Sometime they play Florida State. >> No, I mean does is always like these two team playing. >> It's kind of like when Pokei playing with >> South Bay when Be Yeah. Poke is always >> Yeah. Both. >> Yeah. It's always a big thing. People come from all over just to >> Are you the only child? >> No, she got two. >> She the oldest. >> Yeah. about children. >> Yeah. And the fact that whenever we come to family issue sometime there's liability on us law enforcement regardless of what is allerg you know getting into a a verbal altercation is one thing. >> Yeah. But whenever it become physical >> and when somebody alleged that to us and we have to do our part to make sure >> Yeah. >> And like in >> grandma was she here when this happened? >> She so they I guess they called her. She was supposed she was here. >> So I don't know if she had a role in breaking it up or whatever but >> Okay. >> And then of course we had to dispatch all the comments and stuff pretty much. Yeah. >> Okay. Thank you. >> And family wise is like related. You can domestic is not like you know if you get into a fight with your friends I don't want to press charge and there's a refusal to prosecute. You can charge that. I mean you can sign it then we will not arrest it. But family member you don't have the choice to say you don't want to press charge. >> She don't want to press charge. It's a moment. >> No I said you don't have the choice to say that. >> Oh you don't? Yeah, because it's family related. >> So what they do might want me >> No, we can't make anybody. So sometime we suggest that try to diffuse. >> So um I'm the one that's actually going to be making the report. My partner kind of filled me with a little bit about what's going on. So um do you mind just kind of summarizing as far like I know you so you came home today. >> How did how did it go down from there after you arrived home? It wasn't there was no issue until she saw the shoes cuz she was upset that they were messed up. But I just came back from um partying and stuff last night so I wasn't going to be able to bring them back sparkly clean and I offered to get her another pair. >> Okay. >> In your room she just got >> Okay. And what what exactly did she do? >> Um I started yelling Don't cry. Ain't nothing going to happen to her. Now she's going to happen to Obama. Ain't never going to happen to a just that y'all got to not do stuff like this. Y'all got to be mom and daughter. Talk to her, too. Don't Don't take it this far. I told her because we just had a conversation the other day because things like this is always happening >> and um she was just saying she all she cared about is the shoes. I'm other story. She don't care about my feelings. But I offered I offered to get another pair. So I don't understand why it continued to escalate. Could have just been like, "Okay, I can you can get me the new pair of shoes." >> Right. >> Um I She owns the shoes on the ceiling, right? >> Yeah. But I bought them. >> You bought them like what? as a gift for her. >> Mhm. >> Okay. >> But it shouldn't be an issue because I let her borrow my things, too. I understand that I run the Mac dirty, >> but I didn't I offered to get >> So, um it really started from us. I tal Okay. I went upstairs. I was going upstairs during this cuz really everything the arguing started right here >> outside. >> Mhm. Okay. >> I cuz um she was like she was Okay. She was upstairs first and she told me to get her shoes from the car. I was um in my car trying to clean them off cuz so she doesn't be more upset than she already was and they still are a little bit dirty. But >> she was coming downstairs and she said, "Let me see your shoes." She was right here in the doorway kind of. And she just threw them. And I said, >> "Why does everything have to be like that even after me saying that I'll get you another pair?" So, um, she was just saying she don't care and this and so I went upstairs and I went up I closed my door and then she I slammed my door and she was like, "Just get out." And I said, "Okay, I'm um I will." And then um >> she came in my room and um she dropped me from my wig and then I don't know, it was just a lot of tussle went on from your wig. She pulled your wig out like with her hands. >> It it came off but I just put it back on. >> Okay. >> Like she pulled it all the way up. So she used her hands to grab your wig. >> Yeah. She smashed it off >> and then um ended up in the hallway and she was trying to get me out of her house. So she ripped my shirt and then it was kind of like it was something around my neck that was, you know, hurting me here. >> Okay. >> And then um that's when I called the police, but I was on the phone with my grandma the whole time. >> Gotcha. Um I understand you have a scratch on you somewhere. Where is that? >> Um he said that I don't know where it is cuz I didn't look. I can feel it. >> Um your shoulder. Okay. This area right does your chest hurt at all right there? >> No. >> No. Okay. Right here. Right. >> Yeah. You see it? Right. >> I think it's just from that that band that she say she had on her. >> Okay. Um and that was pretty much it. So after that point, you called us and nothing else transpired? >> No, I was standing in the bed the entire time cuz she was trying to get to me. I just stayed in the bed. >> Okay. >> And I just stayed on the phone and therefore >> understood. Yeah, >> I don't like trouble, >> especially with family. >> I don't know. >> Nobody does, you know. But it happens, you know. >> It happens. >> Well, it never happened with me mom cuz y'all would have never came to our house cuz she would have had to bloom out the mop and everything else and the pots and pans. That what we need back in our generation. This a different generation. >> Different time. >> We couldn't ever do this. And in your bedroom, which is on the second or third story? The >> second. >> Second story. Is this three? Two. >> Oh, it is two. Okay. All right. And um who else was home at the time that may have witnessed what happened? >> My siblings, my brother, and my sister. >> How old are they? >> 11 and 12. >> Yeah, that went. >> Okay. So, they're not here right now? >> No. >> Gotcha. >> Okay. >> All righty. Um, anything else that you wanted to add that we didn't ask you? >> No. >> No. Okay. What's the plan for the rest of today? Are you staying here? No. I'll let her go to my house. Keep it. >> It'll be all right. >> Um, do you mind just raising your right hand for me? >> Do you swear to affirm that the statement you provided today is true to the best of your knowledge? >> Yes. >> Appreciate it. All right. Um, we're just going to go speak to mom and just get some more information from her. Pretty much it. So, if you don't mind. Any dogs inside or anything? >> No cats. No dogs. >> All right. Good. >> I thought you see that. >> Hi there. How you doing? >> Mind if I come in and speak to you? >> I'm deputy sweet. I don't know if we met before or not. Um I know my partner already spoke to you. You mind just telling me a little bit about like what's going on with her today? >> She disrespectful and I want her out my house. >> Okay, >> that's that that's about to sum it up. She's very disrespectful. The stuff that I do for her, I don't even be making money for it. >> Yeah, >> but I make it happen. I want her out my house. She's 19. 19. Yeah. >> Yeah. So, and how long she been living here? >> She been with me since she were born. >> Okay. Yeah. So, at this point, you would have to get her evicted, you know, like if she's not willing to go. >> Oh, she going to go. >> And mom, what is your first name? >> That question Jackson going to stay in my house and don't help me with nothing. And you got a baby that I take care of for you? >> No. >> She work at all? She worked. >> You said she has a baby. >> Yes, she got a baby too, but the baby with the other grandma. >> Like I said, I know you already kind of spoke to him, but you might just tell me a little bit about what exactly other than her baby back for like >> she said basically she came home after being >> She took my stuff. She plumbed through my room, took my stuff, which is my shoes outside. My shoes brand new. Don't get my stuff and then bring it back all dirty. I don't care cuz you paid for them. You bought them for me. >> Yeah. >> If I get your stuff, I'm going to bring it to you back. how about how you had it. You brought my shoes back dirty like you went I don't know where you went but my shoes messed up. I don't like dirty stuff. If you going to get somebody stuff, you bring it back how it is and then you went to cussing me out telling me you kiss your behind and all this and that. Oh, you struggling this that and the third. Y struggling cuz I'm trying to help a grown person pay their bills. >> Yeah. All right. So, you confronted her for that and what did she do? She got mad with the cousin. I told her, "Give me my keys for my car." >> Okay. Why was she using your car before? >> Yeah. Which is the red Lexus that I struggle to pay for her. >> Okay. So, she was using that. So, you asked for the keys >> and then um at any point during the argument, did anything become physical between you guys? >> No, I just grabbed a rig off and that was it. >> You grabbed a wig off? Okay. What was your intention in doing that? I ain't no attention. I really wanted my keys. That's what I was trying to get. And but made me pull the wig cuz she went in my room and got my another thing that she bought for me, which is the pink makeup bag. She went in my room and dumped all the stuff out on my bed and I was trying to wear that and I end up pulling her wig cuz she wouldn't give me the bag. >> Okay. Um, anything else physical? >> No. >> No. Did you pull her shirt at all that you recall? >> No. And uh any injuries on you? >> No. Do you mind if I just take a look at your arms? See if there's anything visible, scratches or anything? >> And the other side, please. >> Okay. And could you also confirm your birthday for me? >> Mine? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Hurry, K. >> Is uh she just grabbing her stuff now? And >> she going to get everything. >> She's going to take it to her office, too. I promise you >> she's going to your house. >> She better make sure she get her baby stuff cuz you can't come back in my house. Mom say, >> uh, no. I I'll wait till I'll wait till she leaves. I'll come back and I'll give you a copy of the case number. Okay. >> But I don't want to step out now until she >> Come on, guy. You got to get back to work. I I'll come back and get at the door. Come on. Oh, your phone. She got my phone. I come back and get her stuff out. I got hit back up. Actually, have her hand tight for one. Um, give me one second. I apologize. Did you want to copy the case number as well? >> You don't need Okay, I'll be right back with you. >> Before she leaves, I'm going to give her a case number. >> Okay. You'll be all right till the end of the day. >> Yeah, >> I know. I know. >> I know you have places to be. So, >> I got to go to work, >> but I'm at work already. I just left work. >> You might give me just two minutes real quick. Okay. >> We'll be right with you. >> Can you just sign this for me real quick before you go to case information? I have to explain to you. So, up here, this is where you get the victim's rights brochure. Whether you're a victim or not, we still have to let you know about it, where to find it, which is on our website. Okay. >> Down here is Marcy Law. Do you want to redact your personal information from public record? >> I don't care. >> You don't care. So you don't Okay. So then just sign down here in the bottom where it says my signature at this. >> He already gave you the case number. >> Do I need one? >> No. I mean, no. >> You don't care about it. Okay. Thanks. >> Thank you. >> All right. Just fill it out later. She didn't really care to have anything else. >> She said, uh, yeah, she said she doesn't care about horses as well. said she's hidden. >> I figured it was best for uh >> Yeah, seemed like uh Jackson >> shoes. >> All right. Um, I'm going to be honest with you. You have to go to jail today for what happened. >> Okay. >> It's my partner will tell you that's why we take our son with us. It's the last thing that we want to do. >> I'll call you back for you to jail. I'mma call you back. I'mma call you back. Let me call my mom. >> Yeah, you'll be able to call whenever. But basic I just want to be honest with you. >> It's the last thing we want to do. I know you're dealing with issues with her. I'm sure she's out of line. Um the problem is how we received the call. What she stated, what you confirm. >> Okay. >> As petty as it may be, unfortunately, our hands are tied with it. Um you know, if it were up to me, that wouldn't be the case. >> Hello. They going to take me to jail. Just letting you know. Yeah, they going to TAKE ME CUZ SHE CALLED THEM. >> That's fine. I just want her to get my children. That's fine. That's fine. But she can't never put a my two children upstairs. I'm going just take my phones up here. >> Okay. We have to go with you. So take with me, huh? >> You don't want to take one of the phones with you? >> Not with me? >> Yeah. Cuz just in case you need phone numbers or something like that >> as soon as you can. If it were me, >> I would I would fall for an eviction. Get her out of here. She got to go >> because this is this is this where we are now because of that, you know. >> I'mma call you when I get there. She turning back around. >> They waiting on me. So I got to go. >> Yeah, I'll talk to you right over here. >> He Why you going to take her to Jane or what she did? >> So because of the way the call came out. Hang on. Let me talk to you. Let me talk to Just stay in my apartment for a second. >> I just want to get over with. >> I know. And and listen, >> it's okay. It's okay. >> But do you do you understand? >> Okay. It's um >> Hold on. Hold on. I got to go. Okay. >> Um so you know how it is once we're called out and you kind of I could tell you you you saw the hint. We kind of figured it out that you know once law enforcement get here and we have to do our whole investigation there's a potential that somebody go to jail. >> I was dying here. She was not upstairs with her when she I told her I said why would you be calling the police? She was screaming to the top of her lung. Her mom was sitting right here. She was not upstairs with her. >> Okay. >> So the re So we you have to understand so we look at everything as a whole. Okay. >> I had to go to jail. Okay. Hello. It's okay. my moment on right here already. And then I'mma leave my um if you ride here my black purse. It got my keys. They got my You can just grab it. It got the car keys in it. If they let me if they if they let me go, that's what I'm telling you where the keys and stuff at. They in my black purse. My children going to be him. >> The way that we received the call, okay, it came out that there was a fight between the mother and the daughter. >> They was >> on the phone. Dispatch could hear everything that was going on. They said that they could hear someone yelling, "Get off of me." They could hear that someone's wig got pulled off. They could hear that someone's wig got pulled off. I've heard a lot of sounds in my lifetime, and I would consider myself to have exceptional hearing, especially in my heyday. However, I never possessed the quality of hearing required to hear someone's wig get pulled off. They could hear that someone's wig got pulled off. They heard a loud tussle between mom there. They heard statements um spontaneous statements between both of them. That was all on recorded 911 line. And then we get here, you have a female that's has a ripped shirt. She has a small scratch abrasion on her collarbone and whereas law enforcement officers everything's on body camera. We have to do our jobs. It's just it's just what it comes down to. So in the totality of everything with the statements that mom gave with the statements that she gave, we cannot ignore it. It's still domestic related, especially because she's 19. She's an adult. So you can't claim corporal punishment because she's over she's over the age of 18. >> But she didn't put no charges on her mama. >> It doesn't work that way with domestics. So the state steps in charge with any domestic uh incident. So whether it be mother, daughter, husband, wife, um uncle, whatever, it's domestic in the state of Florida. >> Anything that you want to bring with you? >> Okay. Um what I'll do is I'll just have you have a seat and we'll do the cops in there. >> She told you it's okay. Is this okay? >> It's okay. >> So that's why she's going today. Now, there is a possibility that this will probably not go anywhere because in order for it to go for further, the daughter would have to cooperate with state attorneys and press charges. The daughter obviously doesn't care about that. So >> she can't come back. She want um actually she could come and get me if they let me go. >> It's in my You could just grab the purse cuz the key is already in there. It's right on the counter. >> If you don't mind the jewel, the jewelry they're going to ask you to take that off. Do you want to just leave it with rings? >> Yes, ma'am. You don't have to go back in the house. You just have to give your jewelry to somebody and then so that way we can secure. >> Let her get the purse. Go with her. So she get sister. >> I'm sorry. >> Her sister giving her her purse. >> Her sister's giving her purse. >> She going to give her sister her purse. >> Where's the purse at? >> No. Britney going to come probably get my car. If they let me out, she can come pick me up. >> Oh, Jim will come. She going to come. >> Yeah. You won't have to have a bone, right? >> Tomorrow. >> Oh, no. Mom, >> hold on. After you like the video, hype the video. Swipe left or right on the comment bar until you see the hype button. Tap the hype button and choose the point amount. And thanks to you, this video is now hyped. >> Yeah, but you won't have to have them on, >> right? found them from tomorrow. >> Oh no. Should we get out today? >> She have to go. Unless you unless you can see a judge today. It's 1:50. >> It's Sunday, so I don't know. >> But it'll be tomorrow. >> Um, go get your kiss. >> Yeah. Mo had came back. >> Yeah. It's actually going to be on on the right side over here. Oh yeah, right here. Have to hold on to the phone until we get through. >> Oh, here you go. >> Any other property on you at all? Anything in the pockets? >> You mind if I take this off for you? >> Oh, I forgot about this. >> And hey, thank you for being cool. I I believe me >> when I tell you this is not what we want to do either. >> It's okay. Um, unfortunately it's a situation that you know, but I do appreciate you understanding at least and we're not going to drag this out any longer than we have to. Uh, >> Yep. You're good to have a seat in there. What I'm going to do um not really supposed to I'm going to do them on the front. Okay. >> I'm going to just put the cuffs on the front. Once we get over there, I will have to switch them to the back. But at least for right now, just just to be comfortable. Um, it's like their policy has to be on the back. Okay. >> She said give this to her baby as soon as you >> Oh, this. >> Oh, she got to go to work. >> All right. >> Who mom got to go to work tomorrow? >> Yeah. >> What time? >> She got to work at 8:00. Yeah, she going. Yeah, she have to call. Uh, does she knows her the the phone number to call? >> I think they have the uh I think she has her phone with her, so she should be able to get one. >> Would you like the AC or the window? >> Okay. That all right. >> And um I'll give this to you if you wouldn't mind just before we take the seat belt on before I put on There we go. >> I'll roll down the window so you can chat with them. >> All right, man. What can I do for you, bro? >> No, that's it. They understand kind of >> Yeah. Yeah. I I you know explained to them you know they they kind of look at it as a linear kind of thing where it's really more of a wide lens. You kind of have to look at the totality of everything. >> Exactly. >> Um at our point of view so >> not much we can do. >> No >> that should be >> I can start property property sheet. >> You don't want >> Are you willing to come by the station at all? >> Yeah. >> All right. Cool. I see you rest. >> Oh yeah there. Um just uh and then uh yeah, I'll do your property >> and uh good to go. >> So much appreciate it. >> And it was this was it, right? Just the uh >> All right. You have any questions? We're going to take off now. >> Do you have any questions? We're going to leave now. No. >> No. Okay. All right. She'll call you guys once uh once she's able.
