in Bloomingdale Illinois observe the women leaving the store and immediately noticed something is a miss a phone call to the store confirms they left without paying and in their haste to leave the retailers including H&M Forever 21 Ulta Zara and J Penny however are you ready for this the assistant State's Attorney refused to give the officers permission to charge the sisters with felony retail theft or burglary charges because the supervisor on duty at Old Navy was unable to access store security footage of the pair shoplifting as such the driver of the vehicle Kiera loette Taylor was extradited to Kenosha Wisconsin as per her warrant which was also for shoplifting there her sister Tanisha LoveIt was released despite also having a prior arrest for shoplifting set back but undeterred the officers of the Bloomingdale Police Department continued their investigation analysis of the suspect's cell phones which were confiscated revealed a series of text messages with their friends discussing which items they wanted the sisters to steal for them at Old Navy when this evidence was presented to the state's attorney however she rejected it because the text messages failed to specify that it was the Bloomingdale Old Navy that the sisters were to steal from fortunately after working with the general manager of the Old Navy the officers were able to procure enough security camera video to satisfy the State's Attorney's office and on January the 26th 2024 over 10 months since the date of the crime a judge ordered an arrest warrant for Kiera and Tanisha on April the 26th 2024 Kira lovet Taylor was finally arrested she was charged with resisting an officer driving while license suspended burglary operating an uninsured motor vehicle obstructing identification disobeying a traffic control signal driving with expired license plates retail theft exceeding $300 and retail theft exceeding $300 with a prior conviction finally Tanisha lit was also arrested she was charged with retail theft EX feing $300 [Music]
