Damn police. Damn police. Hello. That's my vehicle. Yeah. What's going on, Hos? The one that made the call. You're the one that made the call. Yes, sir. The doors The front door is open. Yeah. Um, so I came up. Um, both doors were open. Not this front door, uh, but, uh, the screen door to the front door and the front door were open. Okay. I knocked three times. No answer. Um, I don't know if this is legal or not, but I went to the backyard to take a leak and, uh, she called my name, uh, came outside, started talking to me. One thing led to another, and uh, she's done this before. or she threatened to commit suicide. I couldn't leave in good conscience. Who is this to you? Uh Katie. Uh the resident is Nick. He's on his way home now. Um so he's been having similar problems. Does she have any weapons inside? I don't think so. No. No, he does not. What's Katie's last name? I don't know. She like your neighbor or friend or what? She's a friend of Nick. Um I'm over here. So do you know if she's even still here? Yeah. Hey, Katie. Hey, Katie. It's Dayton place. Ask him how far Nick is away. Do you know how far Nick is away? He's close. 5 minutes. Well, we'll just wait for him to get here before I go into his house cuz it's only 5 minutes away. So, I was thinking of leaving, but uh you know, she uh said that this is her way of showing us that she needs business. Do you have a phone number for Katie? I do not. What's your name? Matthew Jacobs. What's your birthday? Oh, uh why do you need that? Well, you're my caller in on someone who's saying suicide. to the hospitalade. I'm not hiding. Okay. A little odd to me. I wouldn't con uh I wouldn't drive if I were you, being that you smell of alcohol, but I'm not being trivial, but um I'm afraid she may be actually falling through. Okay. Well, I can't really do much right now. No, I get it. I'm just saying. Yeah. I can't just like go bust in there cuz I get it. So, I ask you, why would anybody make this call if that's what I have to go through? What are you talking about? He's investigating me. He's looking you up. Yeah, exactly. [Applause] This time she needs to go to the hospital. Okay. She needs to get treatment. Well, we can't force her to get treatment unless certain conditions arise. Yeah. What are those? Well, she needs to say that she's going to kill herself. Okay. In front of you. Yep. Gotcha. That or she starts harming herself. If she starts harming herself, we can go in there. But that she's not answering. Is that not an indication? Yeah. No, she could be asleep. I mean, there's a lot of reasons you wouldn't answer. Couldn't possibly be asleep. I just left. I went to a neighbor's house. Scotty, she could be gone. No, she's not. I understand. But there's there's no way to prove it though. No, I'm just telling you certain conditions that must be met, right? No, of course. I understand. I'm suspicious of this guy's story. Yeah, he's she's got family warrants for arrest, which is why she's not letting go and talk to us. Makes sense. She's got tattoos on her neck and stuff. Yeah, I've seen her before. Probably have. She's had these before once for a while now. and arrested hero for all four. I'm sure he knows and she knows he'd be. Yeah. She's super drunk. Either way, I have the thing is it's like if so if I would walk up like she's her name's Caitlyn Guy, she's she's being suicidal. Uh my name's Matthew Jacobs. It's my birthday. If you really care about her helping someone, then why are you being consistent with information? Okay. So, that tells me you don't know her last name. You only know the homeowner Nick. You don't know her phone number. I I don't I don't have enough to enter the house without a warrant is my opinion. Now, if Nick shows up and he lets us, he lets us in, then that's a different story. So he said 5 minutes. Maybe ask him how far Nick have come. What's the status on Nick? I can give you his phone number. Just call him. It's easier for you to just call. I can. You can ask me to call him. Okay. Oh, sure. Do you care about her or not? I'm I'm trying to understand. I do care about her. You're being such You are being such Just call him and figure out how far out he is so we can try to help her. Sir, I just told you, didn't I? just five minutes ago that he was on his way home. Okay. And that's what I'm trying to figure out. It's been more than five minutes. We got to pretend. So, I'm trying to figure out his phone number. I I know. Just call. If you'd like me to call him, you can ask me. You can call him. You don't have to be freaking arrogant. I am trying to help. Okay. Well, then let's call Nick and let's see how far away he is cuz that's the only way we're going in the house to help. I'll just ask your partner. Why would anybody calls if they have to go through this? Right. Yeah, I understand that. Unfortunately, I can't just walk into somebody's Of course you can't. Right. That's why I'm still here. Exactly. So, I I don't understand why. Why do you need my birthday? Okay. When we take someone to a hospital on an involuntary transfer, they need someone Nick, I've got Officer Bradley and Officer Johnson here. Uh-huh. Hey, Nick. I'm I'm heading home. Okay. How far out are you? We're just trying to figure it out cuz your your door's unsecure and you got your dog inside. I'm not trying to go in there cuz I don't want to shoot your dog without you know what I mean. I will I will go in when I get there and see what if she's done anything dumb. Unfortunately, I I'll need to talk to her. I mean, cuz if she's threatening suicide and then she ends up killing herself, it's going to be on me, not on you. Do you understand? So, that's that's all. Give me like three minutes. Okay. All right. Thank you. All right. I This is This is my thing. Listen, when it me taking someone to hospital is the equivalent of me making an arrest. An arrest. I get I get so so when when I go to the hospital and I go like say I walk in there and No, you can't. I get Okay. When I take her to the hospital and I I say I'm involuntarily committing this person because I believe they're risk to themselves. Yes, sir. And when they ask me, well, why do you think that? I have to be able to provide credible information as to he said, she said. Correct. So, I need I need to provide them cuz I I what I was going to do is ask your name, your birthday, and your phone number. Okay. And then what I would do is when I got to the hospital, I would say, "Hey, Matt Jacobs, call." Okay, I'm okay with that. And that's what And that's what I'm saying. I've already got it now. But what I'm saying is that's why I would ask for that information. I wouldn't have done this, sir, if I didn't know the consequences. And I know that uh she should be admitted not to a jail, but to a hospital. She grabbed scissors. She cut her hair in front of me as if that was going to move me. And then she took the scissors and went like this. And I said, "You draw blood, I'm calling an ambulance." Here's Nick right now. Um, okay. Let's go talk to Nick. Cuz like I said, I don't look person. That's the whole point. Hey, Nick. How are you? How are you? Doing good. Officer Bradley officer. So, evidently evidently um Matt went in. Matt Well, Matt was in the backyard evidently and Caitlyn came out and taught me. Okay. And she said that she was going to kill herself. Well, when we get here, the front door is hanging wide open. Yeah. She He said he's he's sure that she's still in the house. Okay. I called out to her multiple times. Um but I didn't get a response. Okay. Let me check. Um so if you want to just put your dog up, we'll walk through the house with you. I just I'll go in first. Let me see. Okay. And I will come right back out. Like I said, my dog's not dangerous. I'll put him in the backyard. If she's in there, I do need to make sure that she's not suicidal. Okay. Well, Run back. I'm going to close this just for a second. That's That's fine. Well, you may put the dog in the backyard. I don't know. If you can get a If you can get an angle to look. I I I don't care. I don't think it really matters, but yeah, she runs. She runs. I mean, that's whatever. Get her a different day. But yeah, actually taking a shower. Okay, hold on. If she yells through the door and tells you she knows she's okay, is that okay? Well, so here's here's the issue. Okay. What? She also has felony warrants. So, if she's suicidal, and that's one thing. We'll take her to the hospital, get her checked out. But if she's going to That's going to You guys are going to make And why do you take his word? She said she was going to do that. You didn't hear that, right? Well, that's that's why I understand I understand that, but she also has felony warrants and I know she's in her house, right? So, what what do we do? No. Well, the main thing is let's make sure let's make sure we get the care that she needs for Yeah, it's not going to work. Matt, you can go home, man. You don't have to be around. Okay. Well, I need that by the You're fine to go, man. I just would prefer you not to drive cuz you smell like you've had something to drink. But other than that, you're good to go. I'm under the Okay, if you say so. So, that's the shower. I'm sorry to this kid. He shouldn't have come in. Just I I think I know what exactly happened. What's your theory? What was Cuz she said some mean things to him at one point and he wanted to get even and so he knew he could push her buttons. Matt, you can go. Please. Okay, good. God, excuse me. I said God. I mean, he's he's very he's very confrontational today. I just let him go. You came in. You came in my backyard when I wasn't here. Why? So, I brought your wheelbarrow back 3 days ago. I know. Why? What does that have to do with today? I've been in your backyard many times. I know, but you I know what you were doing today. No, you don't. You were looking for a confrontation. Yeah, you were. Go ahead with that. She came out and introduced herself. Okay. Well, then did it get confrontational? It didn't until it did. All right. Please. I got to deal with this. Where's he going to go? I don't know. He'll probably come back later after we leave. He's been very agitated with me. Yes. He's not He doesn't like when people question him about things, right? Yeah. I know. He's going through this phase where he doesn't want to give his name to the police. Well, that's that's ironic. I know. Well, it's on the internet. I'm sure you guys have dealt with this crap. Yeah. Everyone thinks they're a lawyer now. Well, he's like he goes I I asked he's like, you know, he goes, "Well, then my name's Matt." And I was like, "Okay, what's your what's your birthday?" And I was trying to get the birthday and phone number, right? Well, why do you need all that? Because that's what we need for the hospital. Yeah. You write the story, right? I mean, that's what you try to do. Yeah. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, guys. Nick, it's not your fault. I like I've talked to you before. I arrested her probably a year and a half, two years ago. I know you're trying to just help her out, and I appreciate you having a big heart and trying to help people, but sometimes people got to help themselves. That's true. I I understand it. I know sometimes you got to stop, but I kind of felt like she was making progress. That's what's she didn't need a step back. So, let me see if she's close. Okay. But, um but you got to take her in, right? I do. Yep. Son of a [ __ ] Cuz I don't want to get you wrapped up in harboring a fugitive or anything like that. So, yeah, that's that's my big thing. So, then what happens to me? Nothing. Well, if we get her in custody, that's fine. Then we'll be good. But other than that, I talk to her, but she's she was taking a shower, so give me a second. Okay, we'll be right here. This be a call. This is so dumb. I know. Something was off on this one. I was like, we're going to wait. Outside the door. Is she coming? I don't know. Just one more time. She wants me to open the door, but I said I can't do that. Right. Right. If you step down, I'm not opening your door. I'm just going to go outside. Hey, Kaitlin, it's Officer Bradley Dayton police. Listen, dear. I have a cruiser in the back alley and I have two officers up front or one officer with me. We're not going anywhere. You got felony warrants. Just come out and talk to us. Don't get Nick caught up in obstructing justice. Okay. I saw you inside. I will have an officer go down and get a warrant. We'll stand here all day. I don't I don't have a problem with it. Okay, let's just make this easy and let's not make it to where Nick gets in trouble. Okay, which room is she in? I just put my dog this front this front room. You want to go through the window? Do you mind if we just go in? No, she is freaking Well, here's here's the deal, Nick. We're getting to we're getting to a point. All right. Okay. I don't want to take you to jail for obstructing justice. She has felony warrants. If you wouldn't mind just letting us go in and at least where I can talk to you through the door. I'm not going to kick open any doors or anything like that. All right, hold on. Hold on. Hold on. Let me tell her what's up. Yeah. Hey, just come over and watch this side. This is She's in the bathroom on this side of the house. I can see straight back to the back door. So, the bathroom right here. You want to talk to her through the window? Listen up. I'll talk to her. I have clothes on policeman want to talk to you. Katie, listen. This is Officer Bradley. I was the one that arrested you out on uh Waterval. You were walking your bike. You remember me? This is the deal, okay? I saw you inside. I need to talk to you. You have felony warrants for your arrest. Now, if you need help, I want to get you the treatment that you need, but I also can't just ignore the felony warrants. You understand? I have a job to do. Okay. I cannot hear you. Okay. Well, why don't you come out and talk to me? Then what? Why don't you come out and talk to me? Why don't I just shower? Okay. So, put on some clothes. We've been here for 20 minutes. Katie, Katie, listen to me. I'm not going anywhere. We've got a cruiser in the back. We got a cruiser in the front. We have a total of four officers. You're wasting a lot of time for something that's simple. You'll probably get bonded tomorrow. I ain't got money. No, I'm not. Okay. Well, why don't you come out and talk to it because I don't want Nick to get in trouble for obstructing an arrest. Step outside. You have felony warrants. So, yes. No, the charges are closed and clear. Did you not see that, Katie? You have felony warrants active in our system. If you look up my name on the Montgomery County All right, Nick, this is where we're at. I can either go in. You can either let me in and get her or we're gonna we're gonna have some problems here because because I I don't know. What? I'm right here with the officer. Please, Katie, get dressed. I can't do anything. What? They're getting a warrant to come get us. I will get obstructing just or justice. I will get obstructing. I go to jail. I'll go turn myself into something I got to do. Nope. Well, she she can turn herself into me or we're going to go down to the court and get a warrant for this house. So, that's going to be about the gist of it. 128. Dispatch, can we have another house? He He doesn't go inside or out of the house anymore. Yep. My dog. He He wouldn't hurt anybody. I understand. What's up? Hey. Um, so, so we were originally called out here for a mental health. What's he doing? Calling in a warrant. Yep. There's some smart people here. We're going to go get a warrant. So, I go to jail, too. I don't know. We'll get there when we get there. Can you just They won't They won't They won't bother my dog, will they? When they come in? I hope not. But she's she's refusing to come out of this house. Now, the owner is out front with us. I don't know. With maybe some some convincing from somebody with stripes uh and a warning about possibly going to jail for obstructing justice, he might let us in. I don't I don't know. Yeah. Um he's super Yeah. I saw he was a a chunkier boy. So, um just see if he'll watch him for a while. Sure. Okay. Yeah. More friends. All right. I got a uh I got a sergeant coming out to talk to you. Okay. Okay. Thank you. Yep. They're friends. Yes. Rudy's going to come out here. Hey, Scott. Can I bring Otis over? Okay. Hey, Scott, can you just come over here and get him? You'll I'll have to have you stay here for a little bit. I got to stay here. Actually, I might be going to jail, though, but we'll see. You can't go to jail. Why? Well, well, that's not entirely true. Well, that's he's he's not he's not letting us in, which is the issue because I know she's inside with felony warrants. So, you're going to jail? No, no, he's not. I didn't say that yet. I'm having a sergeant come out and talk to him and explain the situation he's currently in right now. Yeah, he was at my shop or something. I know it's not him. I listen, I've I've talked to him before, Nick. I know Nick's got a I know Nick's got a good heart. He's just He's just in a really position right now. We can go get her. Listen, if you if you let us in, we don't have any problem. We can just go get her. I don't have any problem doing that. Let her in and let them go get her. Nick, they're going to get her anyway. Just open the door and let Should I talk to the supervisor? That's up to you, Hos. I'm not I'm not going to force you to do anything you don't want to do. This is the sergeant. His name is Sergeant Rudy. Sounds like Sergeant, this is the homeowner right here. Hi, Rudy. And here's the thing, Nick. I understand that you're concerned about her mental health, but she's been to documentation with us. She's been hanging out or at least knowing you since 2022, roughly, right? How many steps has she taken to better her mental health? None that I can see. So, I understand that you're concerned about her mental health, but you have to worry about the position you're putting yourself into. She's not looking out for you. She clearly if she had your best interest in heart, she would have done come out already because she's putting you in a really bad position. And I even explained that to her. But I talk to her now. Can I go in or No, you can walk I we'll walk in. I'd make this deal with you. If we walk in together, you can talk to her. What do you think? They're going to get her regardless. Just walk in with them and then it'll be over. So it's going it's going down regardless. And then you won't have to worry about me coming and bailing you out and going downtown and all that. Oh yeah. I would not want to do that. But I would do it. I don't want her to go run and go hide in her bed or something stupid. I don't want I want to see if she's closed. We can ask her that before we open the door. Can you turn me right now? Hurry up. I just had three car accidents. Katie, are you closed? Katie, you Katie, you're coming out. Katie, they're taking you. Are you closed? No. All right, the officer's going to talk to you cuz he's right here. Katie, put some clothes on. I'm working on it. It's really hot in here. Okay. I got a lot I got a lot going on. All right. Well, put your clothes on cuz I'm going to open the door in about a minute. So, you got 60 seconds. Why can I turn myself in? Because I'm here to arrest you. So, put some clothes on. But I don't think All right. If we're not going to play the game, if we're going to argue, I'm going to open the door and just pull you up. You know, Kade, you have clothes on. This is my I know it's your life. Come on. You're making it harder on everyone around you. I'm making it hard. I know. I know. I know. Right. I know. Okay. Right. No, you're not terrible. That's why I I don't understand. Nobody hear me. I didn't say terrible. I said miserable. I don't think you're miserable. Yeah. Well, you know what? How about the guy that called? How about the anonymous pop? Open the door. I'm getting dressed. All right. Well, then let's get dressed and let's open the door. Let's stop playing games. Yeah. Don't break my door. I don't want I'll do the door. Katie, you got to get out. They talking to her in the bathroom still. Hey, Katie. It's Sergeant Rudy with the Dayton Police Department. Hey, Rudy. Rudy. Hi. I don't want to have to break down the door and I don't want to put Nick in a position where he has to break down his own door. Why don't Why don't I Why don't we go into the living room? I'll walk out. I'm going to finish this cigarette. You can finish your cigarette. That's fine. It is hot as in here. Yeah, it's I've never had an officer. You said you're a sergeant. I've never had any of you tell me the truth. Your charges are cleared. The warrant is still active when we run it through leads. Okay. And that's what we go by. It's the law enforcement. It's our database that we use to check warrants. Okay. You don't even know who's in here. Katie, I I saw you in the living room. I know you're in there. You saw me in the living room. No, you've been in here. Yes, I did. I've been in the bathroom since you got here. No. Now, we're Listen, we're trying to be reasonable with you. Look, that's a lie. Let's Let's be realistic here. Well, hey, we're not debating that you're inside. We know that you're in there. We're trying to mitigate property damage to Nick. Me smoking the cigarette. You can smoke the cigarette. We'll let you smoke a cigarette. I have no problem with that. Yeah. No one has a diss. Oh, shut up, Nick. Okay. Cuz this is the second time, man. And it's like a setup. I have a setup. All right. Are you smoking a cigarette? Not in here. Well, Katie, come out and smoke the cigarette then. No. No. Cuz as soon as I come out, you're going to tackle me. I swear we will not tackle you. Swear to what? The guy we're supposed to trust in. I swear. Listen, Katie. You You said like you said, it's hot in there. Let's just come out. Let's smoke your cigarette. And I'm going to Nick, how do you have the audacity, dude? Audacity? I want her around. I didn't know what the again, man. Okay. Okay. Why? You just said you'd never want to see me again. All right, Katie, listen. We're going to back off into the living room. Katie, stop. Stop for a sec. We're going to back off into the living room. We'll let you come out. We let We'll let you have your cigarette. All right. Yeah. Thanks, Katie. I didn't say anything. I haven't completed one sentence. All right, Katie, we're in the living room. Dining room. What is the deal with anonymous call? Oh, he was anonymous. I don't really know that dude at all. I know. And I know he knows now. I'm sorry about that. Oh, you were patient. You've been really nice to her. So, thanks. Yeah. No, no problem, dude. Uh, did you hear what she said on the way out the door? She said, "You still going to take him to jail, too?" And I said, "No." She goes, "Just go ahead. Take him." The hell, man. Thanks for coming out. Just so Just so you know, Kate, he really didn't have anything to do. I never said he did. I know he didn't. Matt is the one you need to do. But the person I um I I don't really much care for the way he comes over here and just starts yelling and wording and make causing a scene standing far far away and pulling out in your backyard uh to take a leak. Um when you trespass next time he comes over if you don't want him here. Call us. We trespass. I mean literally I would had a face mask on when he came here. Yeah. Like I I mean so confused as to why he ple my name. It says charge. Well, we'll be we'll be at work. Honestly, while you're smoking cigarettes, I might as well call McGomery County anyway.
