First off, I did I did nothing wrong. >> Okay. >> Yes, police can use trickery to get you to come out of your home to arrest you, such as pretending to be someone else or using a false reason to lure you outside, like in this particular situation. Once you are in a public area, police no longer need a warrant and can arrest you if they have probable cause. Like in this particular situation, it is important to be aware that police are legally allowed to lie during an investigation to get information, cooperation, and consent. >> I'm a member there. First off, I did nothing wrong. >> Okay? >> I didn't do nothing wrong. So for me to get arrested, like it's just here it's here to say because first off, >> I didn't do [ __ ] wrong. They don't know nobody here. They don't we don't have nobody. >> So, please don't do this. I I'm actually like I don't even know how I'm in trouble. I don't get in no trouble to me. I haven't been to jail in so long. I a did nothing to go to jail. Like, y'all don't understand how I feel. I don't I don't get in trouble to go to jail, so I don't deserve to go to jail. >> We need to calm down a little bit right now. >> Then we need to calm down a little bit. >> I don't want to feel LIKE I DIDN'T DO TO GO TO JAIL, REALLY TRYING ME, BRO. >> Hold on. She had an altercation with someone at a car wash the other day. And because she has prior convictions for battery, it's a felony battery. So, she's got to go down to jail. So, can she bond out though? >> Yeah. I mean, >> oh, so she can't we can't get her out today. >> Yeah, she just got to go down there process like she's making it way. >> He don't bite. What up, buddy? >> I know. That's why I was reacting. I'm thinking a pimple coming up on me. I'm like, "Oh." Um, yeah. Like, she just needs to go. She's got a she's got a warrant out for her. He just told me to stay here till he get here. So, he'll be here shortly. >> Okay. >> So, she just told me to wait. But I mean, um, he just told me to wait and I got the keys and everything. So, >> do you I know she doesn't want us going to the apartment. We're not trying to be sneaky or >> Yeah, I can't I can't let you in. >> No, no, I'm not asking you to. And if she's cool with it, then you can take it and then this way we'll get out of here when the then >> Okay. >> you can explain the situation to the brother and stuff. Okay. Just hang out. We'll be right back. We just got to hopefully she's calmed down a little bit and we can talk to her. >> I defended myself. I GOT MY own money. I need a [ __ ] to come get me out. I do not want to sit in jail. sit down. >> But it ain't going to be no fast process to me ON THE SIDEWAYS WHILE I'M SITTING IN THE BACK of a police. >> I don't want to hear that [ __ ] bro. Cuz when I GET OUT, I'MMA SNAP AND THEY ALREADY KNOW I'M A SNAP. >> ALL RIGHT. I APPRECIATE YOU COMING TO get the kids, Sarah. She's getting all worked up, so I'm going to let you go. >> Allie the neighbor. Oh, you already hung up on me. It don't matter. She ain't know that. >> She a puss. SHE EVEN SAID THAT TO MY MOTHER. I CALL MY BROTHER FOR A REASON. >> HE'S WRONG BECAUSE NO, I'M JUST SAYING MY MOM IS WRONG. >> It don't matter right now. You got to calm down. Your kids straight. >> That's what I'M SAYING. My mama don't take care of me. >> Sit back and relax for me. All right. >> Thank you. >> So, the suspect was arrested and charged with battery and with prior battery convictions on the suspect's record. The suspect faced a felony charge because the victim chose to prosecute. The suspect spent two days in jail. The suspect was ordered to have no contact with the victim and plead guilty. And the charges were reduced to a misdemeanor. Now, if your child is with you when you're arrested, the arresting or booking officer may allow you to arrange care for your child before being booked. So, for the suspect to have a prior conviction of battery on her record and then the suspect gets another battery charge from a separate case, it shows that it's a high possibility that the suspect is a harmful and dangerous person. And it would have been a wise decision for her to think about her children before she started to physically harm other individuals. Not when she is sitting in the back of a police cruiser.
