on a blue BMW at Williamsburg Lane 44 January the 11th 2024 during a routine traffic Patrol this officer discovered the BMW driving in front of her was tagged with a plate which had been expired since the previous October and belonged to a different vehicle altogether hello hi officer my over with the Wildwood police department the reason I pulled you over is I don't think this tag is assigned to this vehicle it's not I'm trying to take it home I'm just trying to get it home I was trying to move it from where it was I'm just trying to get it home I'm almost home please let me go okay uh can I it's in my mom's and she just bought a car and her license is suspended from a DUI she said and she's begging me not to take her to jail um I'm going to see if she Leta search the car cuz it's a good one and other you have search incid or arrest if yeah if I arrest her I'm going to go in my car real quick though and I'm going to look up some of her info and then if you don't mind just stand in with her and I'll let you know [Music] despite the driver's lack of proper identification given the information she provided the officer is able to pull up her extensive record of offenses and even she is a ghast come on three driving one license suspender come on only does she not pay those but she hey are you on my call yep okay um can you come to my car I had a few questions they're a lot easier doing thank [Music] you all right so tags I signed to the car she immediately told me her license is suspended whenever and that this Tag's not assigned to her car when I walked up um she has pre three previous DW ls's she told me that her last one was from a DUI and she has this one and and then she I guess she didn't know that she also had these three that were for failure to pay all these traffic fines she got I'm assuming that stem from her DUI um I was looking at this statute driver my license suspended revoked or canceled with two prior convictions and current violation of most recent arises from DUI refusal to submit um would that be the right statute because she was convicted of yeah technically she should go to jail and it's $10,000 fine car get Toad all right that's yeah okay so that's the right statue though right so I know which one to charge with yeah all right she's yeah she's going either way and we're going to search the car too um incident to arrest so yep know if you know this so temp4 I don't you know that you know your license is suspended for refusing to submit to your uh breath test but it also got suspended again four more times for criminal failed to pay and then three failure to pay traffic F so you were not know about did you have tickets um I'm kind of like still going through that case okay like I haven't accepted a ple or anything yet so those tickets were due within 30 days of receiving them so if you didn't pay your tickets they add more suspensions on your on your license I have no IDE all right I just I knew it was suspended for the failure to blow 10,000 I think don't quote me yet I have to make sure one I don't know if they're going to find anything in the vehicle that you're going to get charged with on top of other charges um I'm not sure if I'm going to charge you with the tag thing yet I got to speak to him first so while this officer completes her report her compatriots search the suspect's vehicle possession of cocaine misdemeanor possession of drug equipment and misdemeanor possession of not more than 20 G of marijuana Bond was set at $4,500 she would later claim the cocaine belonged to her boyfriend and that she was in possession of the vehicle for several days instead of just picking it up from the shop [Music] o
