Police in Villa Park, Illinois were monitoring reports of a U-Haul truck [music] involved in several retail thefts in nearby towns. Officers observed two adults and one juvenile exit [music] that same vehicle at a Walmart parking lot. They loaded a shopping cart with two empty microwave packages and entered into the store. The same individuals were then seen in the microwave aisle where they apparently [music] switched their empty boxes for brand new packaged merchandise. But police were still watching. [music] They were still watching when the adults approached the returns desk and received a cash refund. Villa Park PD intercepted them upon [music] leaving the Walmart when we began the video. She was charged with retail theft, possession of displayed merchandise not exceeding $300 [music] with obstructing identification, and for failure to wear a seat belt. 5 days after [music] this arrest, she was booked in Kendall County, Illinois for her instate warrant. and she has a court date in Lake County, Illinois for yet another retail theft incident on December the 16th, 2025. [music] Her male companion, Antonio Collins, was aged 29 at the time of this incident. He too was charged with retail theft, possession of displayed merchandise not exceeding >> [music] >> $300, with transportation or possession of open liquor by a driver, [music] with a child restraint violation for the toy chair in use inside the vehicle, with failure to use a turn signal when [music] required, and for failure to wear a seat belt.
