Two? >> yes. >> Are those six kids total? >> Including her. >> Okay. Who's this? >> My mom. >> Hello. Hey, are you going to be able to come over here and pick up these kids? So the issue the issue we have is Target wants to press charges for theft, and I have all these babies, and I really don't want to call DCF. Say that one more time. Oh, the one in Plantation by the Broward Mall. All right. >> Um What's the deal with your mom? >> Can she come and pick up some of the kids? >> I I only got two kids. >> Okay. Uh yeah. Yeah. >> Okay, can I call on my phone? >> Yeah, we're trying to make sure we give the kids to whatever adult that you verify is okay, that you approve. You know what I mean? We don't want to take them or put them in any like C-Paws or call I you don't you don't want to do that. >> Okay, can you get my phone out my purse? >> Is your phone the one Okay. Is there another white one here? There's garbage. >> No, no. That's mine. >> Is your registration in that car? >> Yes, I own that car. Hello. >> Hello ma'am, this is Officer Cedaniel Plantation Police Department. I have your daughter Ruby with me. >> Oh, no. >> Yeah, so she's uh just so you know, she's going to be arrested for shoplifting from the Target here in Plantation. Um as you probably know, there look there's a bunch of little ones in the car. Um so we're just trying to arrange the best scenario um for the little ones. I can put you on speaker with her right now. She's in the car. I want to put you on the speaker now with her, okay? >> Hello. Yeah, tell me to come get them. >> Oh, that's my um stuff there. What I was about to say, Mom, you got to um get my purse and get the money out of there so you could be able to bail me out. >> You'd rather me You'd rather give the money to Mom? >> Yeah, cuz it's like two hundred It's like two hundred bucks. Yeah. >> All right, let me ask your mom. >> Um then bail me out like that, Mom. >> Okay. >> Is it Is it code 10? >> Uh Doug was saying that this car might not even be hers, so I don't know. >> Okay. >> I don't know what that means. >> Hold on. Whatever, they're going to come take the the kids at least. Is it like all $20 and $15 a piece? Yeah. So it's just like >> I'm pretty sure it's going to be over a grand. >> It's going to be. >> All right, Ruby May, I got to ask you a few questions. So we we got the Targets out there counting stuff whatever. I know you said something earlier about the Nike stuff. That's your stuff? Where that came from? >> We bought that earlier. >> From where? >> Do that have Do that got something to do with Target? >> I don't have nothing to do with Target. >> Damn, I don't know. >> Okay. Okay, so there's other stuff in the car that got other tags on it. Where that stuff came from? There's other stuff in the car that got tags on it, too. >> Did it come from Target? >> It didn't come from Target. I'm asking you where it came from now. >> I'm telling you if it didn't come from Target in this situation with a Target, then >> I mean, but I don't want Target also to say that that stuff belongs to them if it don't. Because some of the stuff don't have tags on it. Some of it do have tags on it. So, we're trying to figure it out to make sure that you don't get don't get hit with stuff that's not belonging to them. >> So, that means it came out of Nike too. >> Not necessarily. I mean they sell Nike in TJ Maxx. >> Okay, well I don't know then. >> Okay. So, you don't know where the stuff came from? >> That don't have nothing to do with Target. >> I already said it don't. >> Right. Oh, we on Target's situation. That's it. >> Yeah, but if I'm looking in the car and I see a whole bunch of other stuff that got the tags on it, I'm going to ask you about it. So. >> All right, I'm clear. >> Yeah, do you want to tell me or no? Okay. Hey mamas. Um so, we already got the stuff from Target, but there's other stuff in there and it don't have Target tags on it. So, I don't want Target to say that's their stuff is if it's not. >> Some of that stuff is hers. She Some of it came from her godmom. >> The baby stuff? >> Yes. >> Okay, where that stuff came from? >> Pampers and from my house. >> From Oh, okay. >> She I was going to take her to her godmom before we came to the store. >> Okay. >> Her godmom end up saying 5:00 when she get off of work. >> Okay. Okay. So, the other stuff that's in there, some of that stuff do got tags on it? Is it That was weird. >> All right. >> Some of the stuff do got tags on it though, but it's not from Target. Yeah, I'm saying you can't say she did nothing. >> No. >> But, where's that stuff from? >> That stuff from my house. >> The stuff with the tags on it? >> Yes. She's a new mom, so some of that stuff is hers. >> Wait, which bag? I'm not sure. I I want to say it I want to say it was in the front seat, but I'm not sure. >> Okay. One that was in the front seat on the floor is >> It's hers? Okay, what about the stuff that was in the back seat? >> That's Target's stuff, I think. >> Some of the stuff don't have Target tags on it though. So, I just I just don't want them to say that stuff came from them if it didn't come from them. If it came from another store, then we need to give it back to the right store. You don't know where that stuff came from? Okay. Were you at any other stores earlier or you all only hit this store? Okay. If you all didn't go to Marshalls today >> And there's one on University >> You're not sure or not? >> Or no, it's the one on University and it's on >> Today? Okay. I'mma I'mma I'mma double check real quick, but if it if there's any stuff over there with Marshalls tags on it, it came from your house or it came from my stuff. >> Not sure. >> Okay. >> She wears the TJ Maxx only. >> Okay. So her So her new stuff say TJ Maxx. Okay. Okay, anything in there that say Marshalls is what? Not hers, but it'll be Ruby Mae stuff? >> No, it's not hers. >> It's not hers as Ruby Mae or not hers as the baby? >> Not hers as the baby. >> Okay, so you don't know where that stuff come from? Were you driving or were you sitting in the passenger seat? Okay. I wasn't here when you got out of the car, so I didn't know. Yeah. Okay. All right. Is there anything else that you want to say before I stop the stop recording? Okay. Spread your feet for me. Get back in the car. Get back in the car. >> Give us one second. Who is it? We can we can help you out. Let's switch the cuffs real quick. >> Hold on, I got to tighten them. >> Damn. >> I'mma loosen it up. I just realized that's a little tight. You got small wrists. I'mma loosen it. That's my mom. Put your hand together like you're praying. It's more comfortable. >> She's the mom. >> Oh, where's the baby? Where's the baby? >> The baby was given to the other girl. She hasn't been searched. >> No, we didn't pat her down. >> Okay. Stand up. Spread your feet. Put your hands on top of the car. You got anything on you that I can poke and prod you with? >> I don't >> Mhm? >> Okay. >> Okay. Hands behind. Put your hands like you're praying. Keep your hands Keep your feet spread. Sorry, ma'am. Don't put her in the car with Goofy. >> That's Ashley's car. >> Yeah. >> They're going to be in the room 122. >> All right. Yeah, everything is right there. I just going to need your name. >> Mine? Or the ID? >> I don't like to say it's supposed to and >> I'm Christina. You just asked my name. You talked to her? >> Oh, I'm sorry. I I told you what Yeah, I'm sorry. I confused you. >> You see? I didn't say anything. >> [laughter] >> Uh >> You need me? >> No, I just got your first name actually. Yeah. I'm so sorry. >> Don't tell her that I'm prettier. >> [laughter] >> I need to come back and get Augustine. >> I'm sorry. I just got your name as Colette. Is it your first or last? >> Um >> Colette is your first or last name? >> My first. >> And what is your last name? >> Firstborn. F R A N T Y S. Um I have a customer returning a piece of furniture and she needs help, please. >> All right. And >> I want to have them arrest you tonight because I need you to work. >> Can I just speak with your loss prevention officer again? >> Um Cashier here for payment, please. So, we say on the phone here. Give him a few, okay? >> All right. Thank you. Hey, so here's going to be the deal. We're going to allow you to take this vehicle and park somewhere in the parking lot. >> Okay. All >> You cannot drive. The kids got to come out of the vehicle. No one can not be inside that vehicle. >> Okay. >> Cuz the tag is not attached. The VIN is red and white. Unable to verify the information about the vehicle. So, you're going to leave it here and whenever you can get a tow truck or whatever, you can remove it. You guys are grown. You do whatever you want to do. >> Yeah, whatever I say. >> I'm I'm not going to stay here and watch what you're going to do. But the kids cannot leave in that car. >> Okay, that's fine. >> They were charged with grand theft and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
