On May 5th, 2023, officers tracked down a man accused of trying to lure children into his truck with promises of candy and video games. When police arrived at the suspect's home, a friend tried to stall, claiming the man was in the shower, but officers weren't leaving. Moments later, the suspect stepped outside, denying everything. Witnesses, including a 9-year-old boy, described his black truck in perfect detail. After a lineup confirmed the identification, the truth was clear. What started as a disturbing report on a quiet street ended with a suspect arrested for luring and enticing a minor.
