You just failed to signal your lane change and you also failed to make your left turn. My left turn? When you made your left turn off I95 on the overpass, you didn't have your signal on. Are you seriously serious about this? First of all, I didn't know you who you were. I got that. What was that? I was at 97 mph behind you. I'd like to know what's going on in my own city. We would have notified you, sir. We would have. I'm just appreciate I don't appreciate all of this going on and nobody notifi. Move the goddamn car or I'm going to move the myself. These were different moments when bad cops get checked by good cops. Starting with a case of Boon Beach officers who swap pulling over each other. What was my speed, Mark? 97. What was my speed? 97. Not a chance. Okay. Not a chance. I've never hit 100 in this car in my life. Okay. On September 16th, 2017, officer Mark S. from the Boone Police Department was pursuing a vehicle speeding at 97 mph in a 65 mph zone. As he initiated a traffic stop, he was stunned to discover the driver was none other than his supervisor, Major M. Johnson. Despite the shock of finding his own superior behind the wheel, Officer S chose to let Johnson off with a warning, respecting the professional relationship and authority that came with the rank. Seriously? I'm sorry, sir. Seriously? Well, you were speeding. Okay. What's that? All right. I'm I'm trying to do my job. Okay. Take where that's a tag 22. Don't worry about it. Don't worry about it. Seriously, go ahead. I'm not going to write you a ticket. I have the discretion. But you know, you were speeding, so Okay. All right. Drive safe. I was at 97 miles an hour at one point catching up to this vehicle. Can I too? You show me 10855 uh Sierra 7. Major Johnson, however, was not satisfied with the outcome and fueled by frustration pulled Officer S over just moments later. As soon as Officer S stepped out of his vehicle, Major Johnson began accusing him of traffic violations, such as failing to signal a lane change and make a proper left turn. The confrontation quickly escalated as Major Johnson denied the 97 mph claim, insisting that he wasn't speeding. He became more aggressive, confronting Officer S about his actions and questioning his professionalism. For the record, that was Mike Johnson, our major. You seriously talk to me like that? You just failed to signal your lane change and you also failed to make your left turn. My left turn? When you made your left turn off I95 on the overpass, you didn't have your signal on. Are you seriously serious about this? First of all, I didn't know you who you were. First of all, I got that. What was I was at 97 miles an hour behind you. 97? What was my speed, Mark? 97. What was my speed? 97. Not a chance. Okay. Not a chance. I've never hit 100 in this car in my life. Okay. But you also agreed you were speeding, right? Put your body camera on. It is on. Please make sure it is on. It is on. It was on before. I agreed that I was speeding. You want to write me a ticket? You No, I didn't write your ticket. Talk to me like that. Sir, you stuck your hands out the window going, "Seriously?" No, I put my hands out the window so you didn't do something silly. No, sir. Okay, Mark. Listen. When have I done something si silly? I didn't say you are doing something silly. I said so you don't do something silly. What would I do to silly? Apparently. Okay, Mark. It's fine. It's not a big deal. Listen, all I'm saying is the traffic laws apply to me just like they do to you. And I admitted I'm speeding and I'm bring it on your body camera, but I was not going 97 m an hour. I was behind you at 97 mph. Very good. But I wasn't going 97. Okay. So, how fast were you going then? I have no idea. Okay. But I know I wasn't doing 97 cuz I've never done 97 in my life, even while I'm working. But this is ridiculous. Seriously. And then you sit there and I'm I'm willing to give you my driver's license. I'm allowed to do discussion, am I not? Mark, come on. Do you want a ticket? Yes. If if that's what you want to give me. That's not what I wanted to give you. Ridiculous that you and I are having this discussion. It's like, okay, I said you're right. I probably was going too fast, but I'm not. All I said was just slow down for your safety as well as everyone else's. That's not what you actually said. I said just slow down. That's not what you actually said. I didn't say slow down. You said slow down, Mark. You did not say slow down for your safety and for the safety. Okay, but that's what it was meant. Slow down. Do I have to say for the safety? You remember in 2006 when you stopped me in my Tahoe and you said I was speeding on South? Yes. Officer Adams and I, we stopped you because your vehicle matched the description of a 41 vehicle from West Palm Beach. I was involved in a shooting. Big deal out of any of it. You shoved your hands out the window, did the same thing, and said and said, "Seriously?" You said, "Seriously?" I'm like, we looked at each other like, "Are you kidding? We didn't know. You were in in Cat then. We didn't know if this was an undercover operation and then you start arguing with us. So you weren't speeding. You told me I was doing 45. No, that's what you told me. No, we never even got to that point. I never left my vehicle. Officer Adams was with me. We looked over the hood of our car at each other. All right. I'm not going to argue with you, Mark. I'm not arguing either, but that's that's what happened. Have I have I at any point in time have I cursed that you're been disrespectful to? No. Have I? No. Of course. I'm not accusing of that. All I'm saying is listen, if I was speeding, I apologize, okay? But at the same time as once you know it's me and you're not going to give me a ticket, I don't need the I offer you my license. I offered you everything, but I I really like I don't get it. Like as soon as you know it's me, if you want to give me a ticket, I'm happy to take it at the same time as pick one or the other, but don't give me the the the diet tribe. I don't need that. Just like I would never do that to anybody on the street. I either give them a ticket or I send them on their way. Well, Brian Secret. All right, Mark. Listen, apparently it's a misunderstanding tonight. It's fine. Go ahead. I'm not going to argue. It's not a I don't have my radio with me. Hey, actually, I do have my radio with me. It doesn't apparently work. All I want to do is talk to you. Except for I'll be around. Listen, I'm not All I want to do is talk to you. That was all. Okay. Well, just you and I. That was it. And I can do that. Okay. It's fine. It's not It's not a big deal. All I'm saying is listen, I didn't mean to disrespect you in any way. And I don't think you meant to do disrespect me in any way. All I'm telling you is if I was speeding, I own it. and I am willing to accept this citation. I'm good with it." The heated exchange sparked a 13-month investigation into Major Johnson's conduct and performance, focusing on allegations of improper behavior and unfit actions while in his position of authority. The investigation ultimately led to scrutiny of his actions as a law enforcement officer. If you thought that was bad, this is because you didn't hear about this case where secret standoff sparked scuffle between Cleveland deputies and Lexington police. On January 30th, 2024, during a routine traffic stop, the Lexington police officer spotted a vehicle speeding at 85 mph in a 55 mph zone and initiated a traffic stop. The driver, however, was none other than Cleveland County Sheriff Chris Amison, who claimed to be rushing to a SWAT call. Chief Johnson arrived on the scene visibly upset. He confronted Sheriff Amison and his deputies about the lack of communication regarding the SWAT call. It's going to be 77. Hello. Are you sure? I'm going to SWAT call out. Okay, sir. Just told you. Could you do the 85 and the 55? I was going out. We're going there. SWAT call out right over here. I didn't know we had one. Have armed guy barricaded in the house. just be a Tulsa police officer and where? Like down here on here in Lexington? Yeah, we have an armed person we but we don't know about I'll call my chief and let him know. 301 next. According to Ben County Sheriff, we have a hot seat situation at that location. Okay. That's where my feet go faster. [Music] Jeez. [Applause] Uh this want to tell me what is going [Applause] on right here. Where's Captain Tom? Captain Hog. Yeah. Excuse me, sir. Sir, we realize that I'd like to know what's going on in my own city. We would have notified you, sir. We would have. Yeah. I've been at the I've been down there to the PD call. Yeah. It says Mexican was notified but refused to respond according to Okay. I don't know who the said that. During this exchange, Deputy Sysmonsky of the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office attempted to interject, escalating tensions further. Sheriff Amison and his deputies, including Deputy Sismansky, defended their actions, insisting they were justified due to the urgency of the SWAT call. However, Chief Johnson and his officers maintain that proper protocol and communication should have been followed to prevent such conflicts. First of all, remember the chief I'm just appreciate I don't appreciate all of this going on and nobody notified about Okay. I'm sorry. What's your name? Sir, I am too. That's right. You're not going to talk about truth like that, sir. That's not going to happen. You can get the out of my face. I don't give a who you are. You know what I said? This is my county, too. Back up, man. Back up. You don't ass. You need to stop. Chill out. Back up. Everything's going to be okay. But you need to back up. You can back. This right here. We're not going to be distract You need to back up out of my face, sir. You have no authority. You're not going to tell me what to do. Mother, you're not going to get my sheriff's face. Just like you told me. Mother, your hands off me, man. Pull him. Pull him back. My face is the same. Go to jail. Stop. He's going to go to jail. Stop. You need to back off. This is all operation. You understand? Oh, yeah. Perfectly clear. Perfectly clear. Come on. to run that way. I want that lieutenant's name so put his hands on me. Guess he was recorded. The Cleveland County Sheriff's Office issued a statement expressing regret over the incident and attempting to provide context for their deputies actions. They claimed that the urgency of the SWAT call necessitated immediate action, which left little time for proper communication with the Lexington Police Department. However, this next case is more intense than the others. On July 16th, 2022, a clash between Columbus police officers and sheriff's deputies unfolded at the Mogi County Jail, highlighting a policy change at the jail implemented without prior notice to Columbus police officers. The new policy prioritized booking for sheriff's deputies, followed by state troopers and then police officers. When Columbus officers arrived at the jail with detainees, they were denied entry due to this policy, leaving them frustrated and stranded outside. All right, we got another one coming out. Okay, come on. You know him? Yeah. Who is that? I don't know. I just I just know in my face. Come on. Hey, Sniper still denying us. All right, I'm going to file a complaint. That's fine. That's fine. Good. How are you? Tell me. Y'all have directives. I have directives. Sheriff says ain't nobody coming in. Only five at a time. SO and G and GSP have priority here. So GSO has priority even. I mean, this is beyond my control. I don't have so yell at me. All right. All right. Soon as that last one gets cleared, I'm going to bring you. Hey. Yeah, unless another SO unit show up. It's not like you said cuz I'm about to have I'm about to have a stroke. Guess what? Guess what? This is a failure of justice and the jail does not like us. So, we have five people sitting here outside waiting. It's wonderful. The sheriff is very pissed with us. Okay. And he runs the jail. So man, we them goddamn supervisors can I understand. I get I get so I can get the out the way. All right. So So I got a call to go to. I can't go to the car cuz y'all want to play stupid ass childish game. It ain't No. No. It ain't because of me, man. I got nothing to do with that. Charge. I ain't got nothing to do with that. It ain't my goddamn car. It's between the sheriff and the guy that works over there. It ain't got nothing to do with me. Move the goddamn car or I'm going to move the myself. Go. How you going to move it? Move the goddamn car, man. Huh? Y like a bunch of goddamn kids, man. Uh, I'm going to go get my stuff because this is getting stupid. I'm not going to be dearmed outside of the jail. You need to get somebody goddamn car so I get out. They want to play games cuz y'all ain't letting them in. So they don't let me out. And I hope I don't see you getting your ass on the street cuz I'm going to drive the by and you can tell your goddamn sweet car cuz I got a goddamn car you want to move the goddamn car. Huh? Don't stop for me. Don't stop for me. I don't know. But I'm I'm probably going to quit. This is This is so stupid, dude. Eventually, the officers were forced to release their detainees with court summones, further highlighting the breakdown in communication and cooperation between the agencies. Back so we don't have to bring his Listen, man. I'm only doing what my supervisor told me. I This is ridiculous and I and I hate that I'm dealing with this [ __ ] but you're going to have to talk to the sergeant over there. instruction. I'll be talking to the chief. Hey, chief. I'm sorry. We got a situation over here. We got CPD won't let our guys down and they're about to give go to blows. I'm asking your CPD officer to back up his car and he's saying that his supervisor told him not to let And again, no one no one on our side. We're having a tit for tad over here. Hold on. Hold on. Roll down your window. Here you go. Talk to your chief. Uh, we got to stop playing these. This is This is [ __ ] Yes, I know most of us are kind of at a stand still. Do I have anybody on forest road reference to 7511? Hey, we're all standing on the wall. Yeah. Who cares? Hey, move your car, bro. Fantastic. All right. get who we just with the chief. Sorry. Sorry. He's with the chief. He's with the chief. Sorry. Give me a sec. Give me a second. Give me a second. I hear you. I hear you. What is it? Sally. Yes, sir. Go ahead and back it up. Back it up. All right. Hey, fair mates. No, you stay right there, man. Hey. Oh, sorry. Sorry. Yeah, your sergeant over here telling [Music] [Applause] nothing said he's not moving. We got to get somebody over here. We got to put [Music] this [Applause] anybody home. This ain't respectful. Damn, I got locked in. What I got to do with this [ __ ] I don't want to fight. Everybody in. Everybody in. Um, I try to get through and they immediately halfway open and shut it on me. And I hear through the there's a deputy standing behind the radio that female officer is trying to get get into the door. Do not let her in that door. Do not let any officer through that door from PD from from the jailer. The jailer is saying that through their radio. So they won't even let us through the door. There is one person inside there and now they let the sheriff they booked the sheriff guys out now in besid screaming at us to move our vehicles. They won't even let any of our guys in. They won't book any of our guys. They won't even let us in to use the bathroom. Nothing. Nothing. This is the I think this is where this is it. This is this is this is as bad as it can get. Like we can't principal someone's crime, man. Yeah. This is as bad as it's pretty bad, dude. Because it's really my deputy was about he was saying I'm about to arrest you for obstruction. Yeah. To me. This guy's got a call. But then my sergeant's telling me not to move. Right. I have. And then when I started back and he told me to stop and get to What about arrested all them for not doing their job, right? Okay. This is crazy. Embarrassing. Yeah. City, right? I really wish this is not my car right there, dude. I'm going to leave the keys in there, dude. I I really not wanting to to be a part of a to get charged with a crime, dude, for a stand, dude. I'm telling you right now, bro. I'm with him. I'm uh possession schedule two obstruction and regulated objects. Get in your car. Get in your car. Pull your prisoner out the fence. Let her go home. Bring me a damn court. They let me go to court. All CPD prisoners at the jail, will you see me out there on the in between the street between the building of ESO and CPD? We'll have our meeting there. Let's have a seat. Watch your head. Okay. This is sad, man. They doing this [ __ ] Watch your legs. Okay. He uh threatened to arrest me and Fairbags for obstruction and and Lockard and also and also said he was going to ram the car. So Oh, yeah. So, I mean, he's going to pass right by us if he ever sees us getting our ass beat on the street. Rock bottom. Stop accordingly. However, both the sheriff and the Columbus police chief met to address the tensions and reaffirm their commitment to collaboration. The sheriff released a statement acknowledging the importance of maintaining positive relations and expressing a desire to move forward and work together effectively. If you thought that was worse, this is because you didn't know about this case. On November 15th, 2022, Orlando police responded to a car crash on a busy highway where they discovered that off-duty Apopka police officer Sarah Monae was involved in the accident. Initially, a witness flagged down officers, stating that Monae appeared intoxicated. Upon further investigation, it was revealed that she had been driving under the influence of alcohol. Shockingly, Moan had also been engaged in a physical altercation with the victim after the crash as captured in a video provided by the victim. One person that was flagging me down for this accident who's saying she's law enforcement and she does she appears intoxicated. But as I was driving past, she was up against this um this SUV. And the officer I don't know if she uh she could be armed. If you guys are good to go, if you want to, whatever you want to do. Hey, I'm not I'm talking to them. If you're law enforcement, you know better than to be talking to us like this. Then you know better to be talking to us like this. Hey, so this this crash I'm at right now. Um, she's a PAKA PD, but she is intoxicated. Just instinctively, I'm like, I am not wrong. I had plenty of time. She, you know, certainly you can see the initial impact rear quarter panel and then it slid across the side of the front door. So I just jumped out and talked to this person behind me. Hey, excuse me. Don't come at me. Idiots didn't lock the door, but whatever. Come at me right now. No, you're I mean, no one expects someone to do it. Come at me right now. I need you to hit my car right now. Don't come at me, ma'am. Nothing. I would ask you a cop. Is that That's a driver's side. This right here for my left. I just didn't know if she had a freaking gun and I was like freaking out a lot. My car, ma'am. Sir, sir, please back away from my vehicle. I do not want this to escalate. It's escalating. My car is right there. I'm a cop with him at me. hit my cough. No, no, I need I need to please. Did she right there? Did she touch you? Yeah. I mean, she just pushing pushing me and that's why I just I was like, "Okay, so she did she did touch you and push you?" Yes. And I'm just like out at this point. I'm like, "Please move away from me. Do you have any weapons on you?" When questioned by the officers, Monae attempted to leverage her position as a law enforcement officer, trying to deflect blame and avoid the consequences of her actions. She even accused the victim of being hostile toward her in an effort to manipulate the situation. Despite the victim's testimony and the compelling video evidence, Mooney continued to deny responsibility and tried to downplay her behavior. Moan eventually admitted to consuming alcohol before driving, but began retracting her statements, realizing the gravity of her situation. Why are you doing this? Doing what? I don't want you to get hit by a car. That's honestly the truthful reason. I always walk people across the street. That's So am I. Come here. Come here. So am I. Go ahead. Get your get your stuff out of the car. Please go. All right. But there was He's just being Oh, okay. I got you. And I'm fine with like he literally just hit me right here. Okay. So, as far as her giving me a ticket, I'm a law enforcement officer. Okay. So, she literally ran into me as I was coming off like driving here. He hit me. I feel you. So, I said I don't believe you. We have I mean, you know how it works. We have an independent witness that you don't know. He doesn't know that says differently. It says they saw you. I swear. Okay. Why do you think that? Because he yelled at me the second I got out of my car and went up to him and tried to talk to him. Okay. Are you armed, by the way? Do you have your gun? Just make sure. Nope. Is there one in your car? Nope. Okay, cool. So, as far as him not being nice, how do I go about challenging him for being nice? No. Like we literally met each other, okay? Right here. He was not the nicest person. Okay. And I feel like he's doing this because of where we're at right now. So Sarah, so here's the deal. Okay, so the crash investigation is over. Okay, so while we've been interacting with you, myself, other officers, the witnesses, they've been able to smell the odor of alcohol on you, just your your speech, your bloodshot eyes, your mannerisms. Okay. So, we have reason to believe that you might be under the influence of drugs and or alcohol. Okay. So, at this point in time, I am conducting a criminal DUI investigation and a battery investigation as well. Sure. Two glasses of wine. Two glasses of wine. Okay. Anything else besides that? No. Okay. But he got out of the car and as he's getting out of the car, you redirect try to redirect him back inside the car. I never touched him. No. Nope. Okay. Is there reason why you think reason why he would say differently? Uh, not sure. Okay. Why did you tell him so many times that you were a cop? Um, I'm not sure. Okay. Did you think that was going to make the circumstances any different with him or anything of that nature? I didn't do anything to him. Okay. At all. I'm just wondering cuz listen, I didn't do anything to him. Generally, most cops that I know, we don't shout that we're copying. Sure. On a scale of 0 to 10, zero being completely sober and 10 being completely drunk, what do you think you're at? Uh, I've not drank. What do you mean? About 5 minutes ago, you told me you had two glasses of cabaret cap. After refusing to take a breathalyzer test, Monae was arrested for DUI. The charges were later expanded to include burglary, false imprisonment, and battery due to her actions at the scene.
