During Memorial Day weekend in 2025, game wardens with Texas Park and Wildlife were notified of a vessel in distress on Lake Travis. The vessel was stranded in open waters with five people on board. The winds reached speeds of 60 mph with heavy rain and lightning in the area. Using GPS and their knowledge of the lake, they were able to locate the Boers. No, I just said thank you. Hold on. No. Back to the rope. I ain't got enough rope on that right here, buddy. All right. Put it on that one. I want you on a boat right now. All right. Take him out of that boat. Try to go to Northshore. Yeah, we got everybody. I don't know where he's at, though. Give me a facing [Applause] light. Got another sit right here. Sit right here. Sit right here. Over there, Scott. Here. Take your knife. Hit it. That's good. You're good. Yeah. Hey, listen to me. Nobody get out. We need to get our nerves off. Yes. Uh when you get off, hand off here. Come come up here to the front right now. Get off the boat. And my sandals are all I don't know whose shoes these are. Right here. Thank you. Yes, ma'am. Everybody, we're not missing nobody, right? What's up, bro? Thanks to the efforts of the Texas game wardens, all five individuals were successfully rescued and their boat was brought to a safe location.
