Over [Music] the past few years, we've shared some of the most intense and eye-opening law enforcement encounters from across Wisconsin. Main Street. Get the [ __ ] back. >> These videos have sparked conversation, debate, and countless questions. My best friend. I don't get no [ __ ] >> Back up. >> Back up. She's going to the fire department right now. She anymore. She's going to get arrested. >> I want hey, are you are you the one? >> I'm going to spray some. But one of the most common questions we get is this. What happened after? The truth is, every video we share is tied to a real investigation and a real court case. But here's the tricky part. Different law enforcement agencies handle public records in different ways. Some agencies release footage quickly, even before a case goes to trial. Others wait until the case has been completely resolved in court, which can take months or even years. And that's why some of our videos are still considered open when we release them because the case isn't finished yet. Court cases can easily take a year or more depending on the seriousness of the charges, how crowded the court schedule is, or even how backlogged a police department is with public records requests. Today, we're covering three Wisconsin cases. From dramatic arrests to final court sentences, these stories show exactly what happens when suspects resist police, jump bail, or carry weapons illegally and how the courts hold them accountable. Case one, December 23rd, 2024, Vernon County, Wisconsin. Police responded to a disturbance where the suspect threatened law enforcement and caused a scene with disorderly conduct while armed with a dangerous weapon. When officers moved in, the suspect resisted arrest. >> Get the [ __ ] away. Get the [ __ ] away from my door, you [ __ ] >> Put the bat down. Put the bat down. Put the bat down. >> Put it down. Try it. [ __ ] ho. >> 17. Send me a second. [Music] Shoot him down. Get the [ __ ] away from my door. >> What's going on, Stacey? >> Stay out of my house. >> What's going on, Stacy? >> 17 to all responding. Slow it down. She came at me with a bat, but she went into the room now. Get the [ __ ] out of my house now. Get the [ __ ] out. >> Put it down, Stacy. Put it down or you will get tased. Put it down. >> Too easy to play. It's easier to put. Put it down. Get down. Get down. No. Yeah. Down. >> [ __ ] you. >> I said down now. >> Oh my god. >> On your stomach. >> Shoot him. >> On your stomach and don't move. >> Oh my god. >> Hands behind your back. >> Holy [ __ ] [ __ ] >> In court, the most serious charges, battery or threat to law enforcement and disorderly conduct with a weapon were dismissed but read in, meaning the judge considered them at sentencing. The defendant pleaded no contest to resisting an officer and was found guilty. The sentence, 2 years of probation with conditions for evaluations, treatment, and paying costs. Jail time was withheld, but any probation violation could quickly change that. Case two, November 19th, 2024. Lacrosse, Wisconsin. Officers arrested a suspect who tried to escape custody, resisted police multiple times, and was found with a concealed weapon. On top of that, he had felony bail jumping charges stacked against him. Stop resisting. >> Put your arms behind your back or you're going to get pain. >> Here, I got his head. >> Do it now. Put your hands behind your back. >> Hands behind your back. >> Stop. >> It's Stop. It's over. >> Stop, dude. It's over. >> Just cool up. >> You all right? You okay? Hey, man. They'll be able to fix it. >> So, you got to stay sitting for me. I'm going to check. >> You have to remember. We're scared of you, [ __ ] >> One black man by that long. You've been around that long. >> Pay my [ __ ] >> What do you have? >> My bond? >> Yeah. Like, they dropped it to five. So, look, I need y'all to get me out. >> He's got more charges than the warehouse. >> What do I have now? >> Resisting fighting. >> What? There you go. Was that [ __ ] >> You fight with the cops? Alongside that, the judge ordered him to register as a sex offender for 15 years, undergo evaluations, and follow treatment recommendations. All other charges, bail jumping, resisting, and carrying concealed were dismissed but read in. Case three, June 9th, 2024, Altuna, Wisconsin. In another case, officers caught a suspect with drugs and a firearm. Even though she was already a convicted felon, she faced charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of THC, and drug paraphernalia. >> You can notify 403 as well to bridge south. 47.
