On June 5th, 2024, officers responded to the police department lobby and after staff reported a disorderly woman demanding multiple complaint forms. When told her previous reports were already documented, she began yelling, stepping into officer's space, and insisting no one could make her leave. As officers tried to calm her, she accused them of lying, claimed she was being touched, and refused every request to step back or lower voice. She argued she could stay in the lobby indefinitely while shouting over staff and citizens. After repeated warnings, officers told her she needed to leave due to her disruptive behavior. She refused again, yelling she had every right to stay. When officers attempted to detain her, she resisted, shouting she was being arrested for no reason as they handcuffed her. Despite multiple warnings, she kept struggling on the floor until officers secured and removed her, ending a disturbance that began as an attempt to help her with paperwork.
