change as soon as it turned I lit him up and then he continued and he sped up so I think I sped up to like 38 and then he finally well if you had ipas they're all day ipas so they're so low percentage as the speeding up was he more or less you think speeding up to just because he was catching up to the speed and didn't realize he was being pulled over oh he realized he was being pulled over there's no way he didn't he even said that he knew that we were behind him with the lights and siren on because increasing speed is obviously element to the felony fleeing and looting but just I mean totality system then the law permits while driving your operating privileges will be suspended if you refuse to take any test at this agency request your operating privileges will be revoked and you'll be subject to other penalties the test results are the fact that your uh refused testing can be used against you in court if you take all the requests to test you may choose to take further test you may take the alternative test at the this law enforcement agency provides free of charge you also may have a test conducted by a qualified person of your choice at your expense you however will have to that so okay so it'll be just about so I'm going to watch you for 20 minutes and then we're going to do the test it's going to be over here in this area it's going to be the same thing as the other one except this one is uh you don't have to touch it or anything like that the officer will coach you through it to be so like I said the most important thing to me regardless of what happened tonight is nobody got hurt I I don't like doing CPR and people that are dead I don't like going to car crashes that involve intoxicated people and the the worst thing is that when someone's intoxicated and they get in a car crash the people that are hurt are the other ones that weren't drinking so and I've seen that firsthand and I'm glad that that didn't happen tonight and and I'm really and I'm really think down and sometimes I wish that it would be that way but I I don't want to hurt anybody else I wasn't trying to I was just trying to make point A to point B and I madees and I get that so and that's also like I said the most important thing nobody got hurt tonight okay Wisconsin is the only state that your first defense ow unless there's a kid in the car you hurt somebody is just basically a heavy ticket that's it it's crazy well it's crazy people get five six people riding bikes and they're like yeah 7 DWI how how so so I've arrested a guy for an eighth offense how do I get back to my truck so you can't drive your truck for 12 hours so what you could do is have somebody have a friend that'll that could pick you up and another friend that could or cuz you can't drive the truck 12 hours after so if you could so this is so I still haven't looked at at your your court cases okay so I got to look at that if there's an open case and you violated a condition of your bond on that if because if you're out on bond right now one of the conditions is not to possess or consume alcohol if that's one of the conditions on the case then they might hold you I have two cases I have a divorce case and I do have a criminal case so so a divorce case wouldn't be anything that would be you'd be held on 100% honesty the criminal case which you know there is one so I I know there's a criminal case based on the divorce case but I will tell you now the conditions are no contact with my wife and my three kids so I have to look and so I have to go on the department of I have to go on their website and I have to look at all the conditions and stuff CU there there's also one that there's a condition that says something about that you have to keep a master log what that's how weird and how old so on some cases that are really old and weird that's one of the like conditions it's the weirdest thing but I have to look at all the conditions because a lot of things are updated now in the system whereas that was a standard condition no matter what it was back in the day it was the stupidest thing right but that was a condition but there's a reason for that so that's why they had that so the only person I ever heard is myself case in point I mean yes and you're absolutely right I'm glad like I didn't hurt anybody else or make any other drastic dire mistakes like that but the mistakes I make never never hurt anybody else they always just hurt me and I'm not worried about hurting anybody else I think because not that I don't not that I don't care like I don't care if for hurt somebody but I care about like I do so much for so many other people and like I care about others I have a sense of empathy that's good where somehow I don't know if you believe in God but I morning I was just so worried that for because I had yeah my open case I'm like okay well I got stopped by a police officer I'm like not going to jail cuz I was speeding trying to get the work and tring get attention I mean he he gave gave me some Grace and you know let me go he gave me a ticket for having my light now but much better [Music] than any potential alternative yeah we're going to follow him I just recertified like a couple days ago oh really yep no you're good come on it was all online so the reason why you're sitting over here is the machine it's it samples the air quality so if you're standing too close and it detects alcohol it'll fail out the system so this is what it's going to do is he's going to give you all the PRS and what you have to do it's going to be two samples oh and what it does the machine takes the lower of the two samples I wear this thing on my neck I have this keid that came from Burn I self-conscious about it is it is it open or scabbed over you could have the medical staff take a look at that I've been to the hospital I have to call a plastic surgeon uh to get it removed and he get for 12 hour yeah I got to check uh he's got an open case he say he's got an open criminal case so I got to check and take a look I didn't see the conditions of that yeah I'm not going to I'm not going to hold them on the on the fling I appreciate that cuz I wasn't actually well you don't stop and you accelerate that's an element of the fleing alluding right yes but accelerating from a stop is an automatic acceleration not necessarily gunning well obviously all it is is you have to so your speed has to increase so that and that's all it is Trivial your speed increase passed over the speed limit and that's when I said that we're in a Pursuit loud not like open our squad cars have two siron boxes most squad cars only have one ours have two so it's like super loud it's like stupid like freight train almost loud I'll be honest with you not to that is I was trying to find a place to pull over and I was looking at the GPS remember yeah because well there's a there's a Walgreens over there there's a McDonald's there's another driveway there's another driveway there's a whole bunch of places the whole thing [ __ ] Google [ __ ] Google I was north of Four Mile I thought I was I thought I was like I said back the GPS back pick and W the GPS is sleeping because I thought I was closer to my friend's house than I actually was there was a left turn that was coming up and I thought that you had you had you probably had about another half a mile to go to get to your friend's house and candle it so but but I did turn on my turn signal slow back down and then pull over so it wasn't like I SP away so there so interesting for you is if you would have made it to the next street there was a cop car that was there with the spike strip that was going to spike your car no [ __ ] that that last guy that showed up at the scene he was waiting for you you were going to go under a Viaduct and you're going to hit a spike strip under that Viaduct because he was going to be waiting for you way more expensive so then you would have four flat tires new rims I just bought a that wouldn't I wouldn't even charge you with a misdemeanor that would be a felony right yeah that wouldn't there would be absolutely no doubt in my mind that that's a felony well you know what there is a some exactly so if you would have gone an extra half a mile you would have met one of our that other officer that showed up after I guess we just got to stop making mistakes if that's humanly possible hey mistakes are part of our life it's how we move forward from those mistakes life is up and M right exactly to learn from it all right so full disclosure so I I I literally don't know remember I I told you I'm only holding you for 12 hours on the ow unless you could get somebody but I still got to look at those that's where I'm going to go is in my squad car I'm going to look at all their paperwork as long as I can go home toight so here here are the three citations that I explained to you before all right so this one here so the subject test is a161 and then a 0.145 like I said it drops it takes you to the lowest one which is a 0.14 okay it drops the half at the end and it gives you the lower number so 0.14 is what your BAC is so you're almost twice the legal limit when you're on the street you were twice the legal limit so the good news about that is you don't have to get um it's not a mandatory requirement to get the breath ignition interlock device you have to blow into your car anything over a 0.15 it's a mandatory half to like there's no way that you could get your license with that so this is this is your copy of that okay all right and then now we're going to go back in this room over here and then they'll walk you through the rest of the process here going to run I know you're not going to run but it's
