Today's body cam video takes place on February 17th, 2024, and follows FWC officers while on foot patrol in Holmes County, Florida. Officers discover a suspicious ATV parked along a trail on private property and waited till dusk for the owner to return. Officers would be greeted by an older gentleman carrying a large-caliber rifle with scope who had been clearly hunting. How you doing? Fish and wildlife. Any luck? What? I said any luck? No, sir. No? What? No luck? No luck? Didn't see nothing? Nope. All righty. I'm just going to check you out real quick. You got your You got your hunting license, any of that? Yes, sir. Okay. That's my hog permit to haul them with. Your what? Hog permit? Yeah. You got to have a damn permit to haul your wild hog alive. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You hunting here a lot? Not that often. I get invited. And I'm like, "Hey, just meet us up here at the truck." Okay, just drive the four-wheeler, crank it up, get on it, and Does she live up there or she's at your car or what? And got You knew he had a gun. She at there where your car is? [ __ ] gun from him, but I didn't. Well, I mean, you have that. You can pretty much make him I mean, you you have proof enough. It's a modern rifle and I can I can describe it as a black bolt action, either .308, .30-06, .270, or something like that. I mean, I I got If that thing even swipes your body cam, you've got him on felon possession, so Yeah, I got him on felon possession, but now I don't have the gun. Cuz he threw it. Yeah, and they're still going to want to know that it's a fireable gun and all that. Um I can't get down in the woods right now. So, I thought he was working at detail.
