Hey, they going to tow that. Yep. Uh, that's what I'm going to go ask him for. Yeah, go ahead. So he's in custody for OWI. He had a park car and all that. Okay. Oh, what do you want you guys want done with the car? Tow. Do you want us to tow it? Yeah, if you have, you know, something. All right, that works. Uh, April. Um, she's still parked over there. Mhm. Okay. I live out in front. I live there. So, we was outside in front of a car in her car, parked side of the street where it's legal to park on the side of the road. Yeah. Yeah. And she just saw her coming in the rearview mirror. And that would definitely be the So was his tire. He was like that. He was like that when he hit her. We heard we heard him coming and he never stopped. And my my car was parked on the other side of the street and I just hopped in and took off and chased him down. I'm going to get some pictures of this. I got some paperwork that I'm going to have to do with him. Um, is your cousin still parked over there? Mhm. Did you want to go over there and just wait for us? Is that cool? I need to make sure that you coming over there. Yeah. No, we're Trust me. We're Trust me. We're coming over there. I need to get my pictures too now. Yep. Can I do that now? Uh yeah, in one second. We got to we got to search the car and all that stuff and then uh Yeah, you're more than welcome to take pictures. My pictures and I'll meet you back over there. Absolutely, my man. Do you have his ID? It's right on the seat. His ID? No, he handed me a credit card and a business card and everything but his ID. Yep. He works for the car. Does he? Oh yeah, we're we're going to get we're going to get to the bottom of that. [Applause] [Music] I'm just going to come in front of you. I don't want to block whatever video you're taking. Reggie, hop out for one second, man. He he was pretty close to it. Looks like it. I would say so. Uh once Lyall talks to them, they can come back and we can do the do the tester on the glass in the center console. There's some a drink. Oh yeah, I saw the line. I am so glad cuz that could have ended up ugly. Oh yeah, he could have definitely killed someone or himself or both. Oh, he's refusing all tests. I don't want no car. Are we going to want any video surveillance? I mean, uh, they said when he pulled in, he was already No, I was behind him. I Oh, I got you. At the intersection, just prior to the intersection. So, I thought you found him here. Was he joining the mil bucks losing? I I think so. [Music] You want me to make contact with? Uh, I got a cell phone in there. That's the only thing. And then I just put all of his cards in the center console. I'll let you have that. cell phone. I couldn't find anything else. His name was I think he said he was in the vehicle as well. Oh, was he? Yeah. Hey, my man. Can I get your information from you? What's your last name? MCK. Mac. All right. Were you in the vehicle? In the red vehicle that got struck and Charles, who else was in the vehicle? I mean, were you a front passenger driver? I was the passenger. Passenger. It was parked. It was parked. Parked on the side of the road. Mhm. In front of my house. All right. Uh, where do you live? Uh, on Charles. Were you wearing your seatelt or you just sitting in there? We were just sitting there. We on the side of the road. Not at all. Perfect. Yeah. I just got to ask cuz of the accident report they asked for that. Are you injured at all? Not at all. Not at all. All right. She's not. Um, what side of the road? Right side. Right side. Mhm. The side your house is on. That's the side of the house. So, the west side of the road is parked facing. I'm not good at directions. I just know if we on the right side of the road coming Well, yeah. Either way you look at it, it's the right side of the road. I know what he's saying. I'm not doing that, man. All right. So, you're on the west side, right in front of your house? Correct. He just sideswiped that vehicle. Yeah, he pretty much sideswiped it. So, he hit all the the whole driver's side. The whole back driver's side. I didn't I didn't see the damage pretty much cuz I just hopped in my vehicle and take off. I got you. I have yet to see what the damage is to hers. I got you. I felt it. I heard it. But yeah, I don't know what it looked like. And who is the the owner of the red vehicle? That's my cousin. What's her? You need her name now? Yeah. Uh, Jazz. But that vehicle is still up there. It's still there. Yeah. It ain't going nowhere right now. All right. Perfect. Did y'all send somebody to her? Yeah, somebody's heading over there now, but they haven't made contact yet. I want to make sure. Am I okay to go back over there? Because, you know, we need the paperwork and all that. We going It's just Yeah, just going to be a second. Um, do you have her phone number? Yeah, I'll get on. Yeah. Can you just call her and let her know that officer is going to be out to talk to her? Yeah. Just so streamline this a little bit. go up and talk to the victim that got hit. Okay. If you guys could help with the accident report. Yeah. Uh he was in the vehicle. He jumped out and followed him here. So he's refusing everything, but I don't know if the victims said they're injured. Knee possible knee injury. Refusing rescue. But refusing rescue. So I don't think that I don't unless cuz they're refusing rescue. We can't bump it up. Yeah. You can go. You can head up over to the accent. They're just going to get a little bit more information from you cuz they're going to be they're the squad that's going to be doing the accent and there's another guy that's already talking to your cousin. All right. Appreciate it. All right. Thanks. You want me to grab his and to to test it to verify or? Yeah. I mean, uh, well, once they get up there, he can come down. I didn't think about them just giving me the PBT to do it. Me neither. Now I have one. So, do you want me to get PBT to lock it in or are we calling it good cuz I can run up and get it before hooked up? Um, yeah, if you want. But then you were going to have to be playing. Yeah. Well, they got to come down here to Yeah, for him to grab him cuz I got to work on my Oh, yeah. It would be dumb to go drop him off, come back here so I can sit with him. Yeah. Yeah. Also for drunk driving. So that was we actually had just gotten a call about him um speeding on one of the side roads up here on fireside. Somebody called him in driving recklessly in the area with a flat tire. So I'm going to have to go over there. He might have hit something else before he hit you, too. So um are either of you injured? My knee hurt the way like my car was back a little bit. He hit my car so hard that it that it Yeah, I can see the Yeah. Yeah, that's So you could see actually that's his uh rim from his flat tire. Yep. Um so were you in the driver's seat and you were in the passenger seat? I was my cousin who went after him. Oh, okay. That's that explains why they have some more information up there. Mhm. Okay. So is you and your cousin who's out on scene there? Okay. Um, I just got to get a little bit of info from you and then I'll get you a case number and uh we'll make sure we get like, well, was I too far out? And then I get out and I look and I'm like, well, no, I couldn't have been no closer. Do you plan on going to the hospital at all or? Um, yes, I'm definitely going to go to the hospital because I have a make sure. Okay. In that same leg. Um, yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, uh, being injured in a crash with a drunk driver who leaves the scene, that's, uh, definitely escalates things on his part. So, um, yeah. Okay. So, other than your leg, does anything else hurt? No. Did I don't think it doesn't look like any airbags went off at all, huh? No, not at all. Okay. I'm just wondering, can you estimate, do you think whereabout your car was parked exactly? Um, so it was parked in the middle of this tree cuz I didn't want to be too far away if someone drove out. Sure. And I didn't want to be in front of their house either, you know, to get that. [Music] Just just trying to be respectful homes and I got you. Yeah. Yeah. I do wonder what else he hit. So I'm going to just go take a drive through the neighborhood. Is this Are you going to leave your car parked out here? No. I'm cuz I actually stay on the other side of town. So, I have to I'm going to go to the hospital and just go straight home. Okay. Well, let me just grab some pictures real quick before you go. Um, do you have your insurance information in the car with you or can you look it up on your phone? Yep. Yes, sir. Um, they're right here with me. What? Um, are you looking for them to bring something down there? Um, you see if you look behind you, you got all the white mark. Oh, okay. Were they moving? All right. Maybe they'll be there in 5 minutes. Bye. Parked, right? Yeah. So, she was actually parked like right between these trees here. Okay. Um, [ __ ] Yeah. And, uh, they're saying that they need you down there for prisoner transport to the hospital cuz Zach's got to get a warrant. Okay. And, uh, so you could just dealer sent out a thing that unless they've Yeah, on first offense they we would normally let them refuse, but because this is a owi hit and run with injuries. Got it. He's He's going to jail. So Okay. Um I think that's a felony. Yeah. Occupied vehicle hit and run. Yeah. So she's Yeah. She's got a knee injury that she's going to the hospital for. Right. I wasn't even thinking about like that. Yeah. So, that's the only reason why um if you want to just grab my PBT off the passenger floor that it has a little like yellow I don't know if you've ever used it before. The passive uh Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, that's what he's looking for, I think. Okay. She's got State Farm insurance, by the way. Are you guys going to write the crash under the the hidden the um the reckless the accident or the reckless? Uh probably the actual reckless or the sorry, the accident. All right. Okay. So, this is the accident case number here. 22- The guy who is currently arrested and getting ready to go to jail, he's not wanting to tell us who the insurance company is for his car. Okay. Um, which is no not really a big deal, but otherwise I would have written it on your card here who insurance company is. It's a brand new Subaru. So, he got uh and it's financed through UW Credit Union. So, in order for them to have issued a lease, they would have had to have issued insurance. So, full coverage like like Blossom. Yep. So, um this is my card information. I I work third shift, so you know, it'd be kind of difficult getting a hold of me at night, but um I'm usually here from 10:00 to 6:00. So, the ambulance will be pulling up shortly to come look at you. I asked that they come into the neighborhood with no siren going just to Yeah. Sometimes they listen, sometimes they don't. They're going to get a search warrant signed by judge to get a blood draw from him because he's not cooperating with that either. And then he's going to go to jail after he's done getting his blood drawn. So, um, then I'm going to go right now and check the neighborhood that he was initially reported as driving like an idiot in and find out what else he hit cuz he had a flat tire before he ever hit you. Mhm. So, now I just have to figure out somewhere down like 50 mph and uh and already had a flat tire at that point. So, just kind of kind of kind of working backwards here and we'll figure out what he hit first and uh I'm sorry that you guys had to go through this, but I'm glad that we were able to catch him and and that your cousin's kind of on it and yeah, do you guys have any questions for me before I go? No, sir. Okay. Well, good luck with you and I hope your your leg feels better and uh and maybe we'll talk soon. Okay. Yes, sir. Y'all take care. Bang bang bang like like a tire was bad or something. squealled down the road, came down here, realized it was a dead end, I think. Yeah. Pulled up that way, turned back around, and then bang, bang, bang, down. They pulled up that way. I think so. There's definitely If you want to come over here and look, I'll show you. Maybe they Maybe they turn that way. I I I'm kind of wonder if they went in the woods a little bit there. Oh, because there's like a bunch of like the sticks and debris are kind of in the road. They peel out. But you can definitely see where he was in the grass here. Oh gosh. Yeah. But um I'm surprised he didn't just take off and just drive down the people. Yeah. So he like uh Wow. I think he um I think he like pulled through, pulled in and backed up and then just tore out of the grass. Um but this isn't what popped his tire. No, it was already bad on its way down the street. Okay. Cuz Yeah. Yeah. And then so I was looking over here and I was hoping to find maybe uh you know like some car parks or something, but I have a suspicion that he crashed somewhere further up north because I was following some road impressions. Oh, because of how fast he was driving on the flat, it started moving off of the rim. And so now the rim is like gouging the pavement and just kind of helping us. Lovely. So this is what made me No, this has been like that. We had branches come down and they've been cutting this up. Okay. So, he didn't come this way. So, it was just that way. All right. Um, so I'm going to continue my journey towards uh autumn in September. But yeah, so he's been arrested for drunk driving and uh you guys know Yeah, he hit a he hit another car and injured somebody as well. So, um yeah, not not a good night. Thank you for your help. You know how to do that? Nope. Wait a like cycle. I just did the training. Well, don't drink it. I can smell is the lime. I'm guessing it's probably a vodka vodka sprite with lime. Oh, this one you pour it in, swish it around, dump it. Was it and it funnels through? You pour it in. Yeah. This and it goes out there. That's what he said to do. Pretty sure I seen him do it. Watch yourself now. Yep. Positive. It said bingo. Eliho. What's up? What's up? Nothing. He has a brand new car. He bought it like I asked him where he currently live 14 days ago. Um, you have to tell them whatever. All right, I'm gone. Lay it out. With a car crash, an injured victim, and a sample that tested positive for alcohol, the suspect now faces serious charges. OWI causing injury, hit and run, open intoxicants, and more. One night, one decision, and it all caught up to them. If you like content like this, please like and subscribe.
