officers were spotted by the captain water's a bit lower than it has been absolutely yes sir what's that nope I'm G get him throwing doubles huh I'm going get him throwing another one here in a moment it you just pick it up depends how he asked cuz he already threw one up at the bathroom very true I don't know what they had going on with loading a trailer she was steering he was throttling how's it going do me a favor once you all pull up do me a favor pull up to the shade right here I'm going to do a vessel safety inspection okay yes sir thank you very much all righty so I just want to do a quick safety inspection on the boat okay oh you paperwor is paperwork for boat in here okay who uh who's got whose boat is it okay it's the purple one on top all righty do me a favor man pill dang you mind just hopping up there and grabing me all the safety equipment yeah uh sure I'll hop up with you all right normally FWC officers don't board The Vessel like this but due to the fact that they were observed transporting fishing poles it gave the officer the legal right to go through the boat especially the coolers where they discovered a handle a so yeah we had what four people so grab me four life jackets type four throwable a fire extinguisher and a Horner a whistle Jack here's a whistle like I said I'm just checking coolers real quick just cuz yall had all the hles here adult all righty where' you say the throw was there it is up there right there he is Sir tool set all right and you said the fire right here uh what else do you need we got a whistle right here all righty and we got a blow horn under the thing there okay wor got Refreshments if you guys are thirsty no no I I don't need any Refreshments I'm all good um the only thing I just want to grab your ID real quick and just run you through yes sir so we can do a safety inspection I'll give you that decal cuz you're all good on your safety sticker okay sure babe get my wallet will you but she was driving by the way what's that she was driving I was helping her okay what if I say when I saw you pulling in you were behind the wheel first time she drove a boat okay so if I if I said when you were out in the lake you were behind the wheel right I was watching you from from afar I I know you were behind the I mean I was like there but she was there I mean you don't have to lie to me about it man it's all it's fine if you were behind the wheel train her how to load and okay like I said it's fine I saw you behind the wheel you don't have to it's not a big deal it's not a wheel a throttle one see yeah right here at the ramp but when you were coming in from the lake you were behind the wheel cuz I was I was watching you from the B binoculars sure you don't like I said man you don't have to play funny with me it's all it's fine bro I'm just like it's all good no trouble man you got I didn't you were in any trouble did I all right then S I just need your IDs if you were driving too I'll take both your IDs y'all can both get a safety compliance um the other thing walk over to my truck with me okay can I put theu back up tell me why since you've gotten to this boat ramp I've watched you throw two cigarettes on the ground two cigarettes two cigarettes did I you threw so going into the bathroom you threw it on the ground just a few minutes ago you threw another one on the ground up there okay so I'm just asking you why uh because I probably wouldn't think about usually I'll ball them out and put them in my uh pocket okay how many are in your pocket then on theat and the cup holder in my boat actually I got some pennies are those your kids yes my why are you driving a truck today cuz I can I drive a truck here okay I got a license I know you have a license I was trying to teach her how to I got you there's that registration there's a safety decal for y'all thank you sir no problem how much have you had to drink today me I've drank you know enough to not be able to drive that's why she why were you driving the boat then well sir I was trying to teach her up okay so when you came in you were the only one behind the helm like I already told you little man was behind me too though I was he was behind you you were behind the wheel I'm sorry sir okay I mean are you going to deny being behind the wheel no I'm not I'm not I'm not going to argue with you and I'm sorry about cuz I was I was watching you through the I mean I really so you were in control of the boat too when it was loading I know she was behind the wheel but it realized you you have to be smart okay coming into the boat ramp you were I I was watching you man I did pretty good right you were behind the wheel I did I help my wife you help TR to hurt but I was trying I understand you're not trying to hurt anybody man because when you put a boat in you want your wife to back it off I listen I I love teamwork okay I'm all about teamwork I don't I don't make my wife back or drive the boat up I make her back trailer down there problem she backed it in and I took it off and then when we come back she pulled the boat on I tried to help her dis guide her in I understand it look complicated to you guys or like that no it's it's not that it look complicated okay I don't I don't care about getting on the trailer um like I said when you were coming in you're the only one driving the boat okay um I am detecting some signs of impairment from you okay i' I've been watching you walk and all that um ma'am do you want your ID back okay you can have it back you already gave him the decal okay yeah he's got it with a registration okay I I I like I said I witnessed you driving I not my first rodeo playing the game with the switching drivers um like I said I've been doing this long enough I've been detecting some signs of impairment from you um to dispel my belief that you were an impaired operator I'd like you to do some standardized sobriety tasks to get rid of that belief from me okay just because there were kids on the boat as well I I don't feel comfortable letting you go without doing them well I mean so it's it's it's up to you okay just give me one moment you mind if I grab the registration back real quick so I told you why I've seen some signs of impairment coming from you okay and you were behind the wheel of that boat I know not at the boat ramp you were just just behind the throttle not the wheel coming in as I watch you with my binocular behind the wheel one so I'm not I'm not going to argue with you about it it's the same thing as in your truck if you're behind the wheel of the truck does it matter if you're going in a straight direction or on turns well sir I'll wa and drive all right have a seat you want me to stand on no I want you to just have a seat man and be comfortable me to hold I want you to have a seat be comfortable okay I don't understand what you want I want you to have a seat really all right cool except for I went out ate had a few be and I'll let my wife drive back man crap all right so we're going to make a fist with both hands extend your index fingers and turn your palms forward so I'm going to demonstrate everything for you and if you have any questions throughout any of these ask I don't care if you have to ask 20 times all right I'd rather explain to you than you not understand okay so we're going to hold our fist like that down our side perfect and we're just going to close our fist down our side unless you have a problem closing your fist close your fist yep best you can yep just hang yep and just hang down by your side Perfect all right um you understand that the the position okay so we're going to remain in this position while I explain the task okay do you understand yes sir all right when I say begin you're going to tilt your head back to about a 45° angle and close your eyes I'm going to demonstrate okay so we're going to tilt our head back and close our eyes got it y all right when I tell you to touch the tip of your nose with the tip of your index finger and then re immediately return it to to your side okay so I'm going to demonstrate and just for the purposes of it the tip of your nose is the furthest point that hangs out so if this is your nose it's this part not over here not over here and not up here this part to touch my nose so no if this is your nose okay right here my finger is your nose the tip of your nose is right here it's not the sides it's not the bottom it's not the top it's the very tip tip of your finger is just below your finger nail the tip of your finger is just below your finger nail not the pad not the sides or not the nail okay I have to explain it that way there's no issues with it right so like I said when I tell you to touch tip of your nose tip of your index finger and immediately return it to your side I just demonstrated do you understand that yeah okay all right begin what do you want right or left so remember the first step right so I'm I'm I'm you got to tell me right or left right so I'm going to start over Okay that way like I said that's why I said if you have any issues with it I can I'll read it 20 times it don't matter man all right yes sir all right go ahead and begin left you can put your hand down right you put your hand down left you go ahead put your hand down right put your hand down right you put your hand down and left you can put your hand down all right so next one's called the Palm P um so again I'm GNA demonstrate everything I'm explain everything demonstrate the whole nine yards so what we're going to do is we're going to place our hands Palm to Palm with one hand up and one hand down like so okay so it don't matter which hand's on top but we're going to place them just like that okay perfect okay so remain in this position while I explain the task do you understand yes sir okay when I tell you to begin turn the top hand over and count out loud one then turn the hand back over and count out loud to Counting only when the hands make contact like so all right I'm going to demonstrate it's one two one two one two one two one two one two okay so repeat this speed up as you go do not stop until told make sure to keep your hands and fingers parallel during each Pat like so all right so when it says parallel keep them straight don't come together like this we're not yep don't chop the pat it's not like this it's simple one two one two go begin you say one two no one two one two one two one two one you got speed up okay all right make a fist with both hands place your left fist at the center of your chest and your right fist against your left fist like so all right when I say begin you must perform four tasks the first task is to count out loud from 1 to four while you move your fists in a step-like fashion okay making contact between your fists at each step so I'm going to demonstrate and if you don't understand I'll repeat it all right so step like fashion 1 2 3 4 all right the second task is to memorize the position of your fist after you have counted to four clap your hands three times and return your fist to the memorized position so for here it's not that hard watch I'm going do it I'm do everything okay 1 2 3 4 back to here all right do you understand I guess yeah all right the third task is to move your fist in a steplike fashion in a reverse order counting out loud from 5 to 8 returning your fist your left fist to your chest so everything you just did going forward just going to go back so after you clap you come back five six 78 tou your chest do you understand there no way understand I just did it yeah 1 2 3 4 Forward back so do do you understand that one 5 six seven eight back okay do you so you understand yeah okay so what which part would you like me to repeat okay you said one two 3 4 1 2 three five 6 7even 8 okay so I I never I never got to finish it either there's one last step the fourth task is to open your hands Palms down and place them in your lap just just like so I just okay so you understand everything then right I guess so okay let's do it right what' you say right hand so it was left hand against your chest left hand against my chest yep right hand up above that so you you understand everything yes sir all right go ahead gu so all right if if you want I can repeat it man it's not that big of a deal well I mean this is ridiculous but okay go ahead you want me to repeat them all no because it don't make no sense anyway I'll try my best all right go one 2 3 four five six 7even 8 okay all right man you're all done just relax for a moment okay just hang hang tight right here off it doesn't affect your driver license or anything like that okay you just have to be at the county ja for 8 hours I'm not even drunk man my wife is driving why am I doing come on man like I said man I load theat with your but I saw you can well I can't let you just go after after so it is what it is find my own I'm not D come on bro man he's seen you operate the vessel and you are showing signs of impairment hey well I mean bring to jail without radi it's don't affect your driver's license or anything like that you get out the morning and 8 hours so what's 8 hours from now UHS okay but I want you to understand where I'm coming from all right because one I watched you operate a vessel two there's kids on that vessel okay I got 6331 can you show this subject 105 at this time and listen I'm not saying you're a bad person but from what I've seen you should not have been behind the thatat okay you should not have been operating a throttle of thatat understand so we got to make sure someone's capable operating op V solely not could be impaired okay um I understand you're just trying to help but God forbid you slipped and that throttle went up and ran the kid off front of that boat those are your kids right I have a feeling you be very upset at that well I've seen it do you want to bring to De beses ID all right uh which one you putting me in take me in your truck though I'm going to have you come back over here just stand back here for me I got to make sure it's I'm going to make sure it's AC and stuff's up for you so you're not back here sweating I'm going to get this out of your way wow man come on now this is weird Bud he's a pig look at the tra there's goat Gat yeah yeah you got you got I put his ID in your truck uh turn his AC for him yeah you smell it now yeah [Music] [Music]
