that a man on a derli vessel grounded at rat key was screaming and threatening people stating that he was going to kill everyone FWC would arrive by Patrol booat shortly after I don't see any movement oh I do see movement yeah he's staring at us with a he's got the cigarette yeah how you doing sir you come on out for me what's going on I'm officer Ross of Florida Fish and Wild Lees his officer Carpenter you doing okay people said you've been yelling and screaming say what now you was yeah you haven't been doing that oh yeah we're up we're on it yeah guy over he okay so you were yelling at him then right yeah what happened man you're grounded storm get you storm got you 5 days ago you got a photo ID on you by any chance ma'am say what you have one but you have to get it okay what's your name and you said you are the registered owner of this VES all right so what's going on man yeah so what what's happening earlier today that um I came here a minivan homeless with two cats I lost just lost my two cats on the way here and came down here for a free sale but on Craigslist and some con artist sold me this he full termites neither of the engines were running I'm working on them but run and uh for half my disability income I'm disabled I've been homeless for 24 years I got you so it's been bad for me for about a year you've been down here for a year no no I mean I've been seriously oh not doing well for over a year now I mean uh considerably not well I got you but uh he CAU me into buy this comes out here every month harass me for money took the anchor off here took the gas can every piece of wood on here throwing I had to gut the boat um know just not Happ it right now have you threatened anybody no not at all do you want to hurt yourself no just in a down spot you just don't feel like I'm m you're mad I mean I'd be mad too if I I had to rebuild this for 24 years all over the country it's just nothing changes it's all the same there's just people like this guy and then you know cities that just don't care yeah you know day in day out I finally got I you know I got enough money to get this boat to live in M instead of being on the streets you know yeah and you got a means to cook and all other stuff oh I'm doing all right it's the fact the only really been set me off as this guy can deal with people which guy the the guy that ownat that sold you the boat and then the guy that and guy over here he care about that guy guy that owns that boat over there I don't give a [ __ ] if he's making if he's trying to I didn't have an issue with him I've never talked to anyone on that boat here for 4 hours mad myself okay because he came over here you know basically told me I can't be here he doesn't give a [ __ ] about me he just comes over here and doesn't want around his boat right he comes over here just to harass me about that [ __ ] I don't care about him either right at all I got you he he continue he he just does it man three times he won't stop doing it all right telling me I need help and you know I I got you know I don't need anybody harassing me right here I got enough problems yeah you're trying to actively get it off this all the time spot though yeah I I really am I have a hard time doing that the water I try to explain it but I can't you know the water was you can't see the shoreline where where it's raced up right I see right there by the tree yeah that's as high as it was when I got washed over here about a week ago got I'm Wai till the 18th you said you have till the yeah she said she said the water risers when to moon so that's what I'm waiting that's that's what I've been doing that's what I'm still doing this guy came over here started messing with me I knew I'd be in trouble I you know cuz I was yiling at yeah yeah and I got upset he wouldn't leave me alone right he just sitting here so I've been mad ever since I was trying to work on my boat with the top on on the on the outside on the top try to fix the the deck so I can stand on it and I he came over here messing with me while I just started and it took me about 3 hours to get started again because I was so mad yeah I got you the guys that came by did they um tell you about the whole der like vessel issue and all that stuff we just talked really they gave me my number I think I you just talk try to go to the hospital or something all right so I talked to those guys before coming out here um I guess they talked to you back in like June 20th when they was doing it um and I mean you've been actively trying to get it off for like the last three months soon as I get it out off what do you mean get it off what get it off grounded I mean no no no no it's only been grounded for a week cuz of the storm I've never been grounded I've been washed over there over here told to tie to a grocery for for 8 the other problem too sir you know I feel you on the homeless and everything else but you know if you're out anchor you don't have any means of propulsion like you don't have an engine got a motor on the way a small motor all right and you got all your stuff is open I mean you don't have any glass you know when it rain I mean how does how does water drain out of here uh you got a plump it's uh it floats you had a battery for it that's not a pump that's just a wire yeah here's the deal so your boat's grounded all right um You don't have any way you don't have any way to run it I I I don't even know if that's an actual build pup wire to be honest with you unless you can show me all right where's your battery there's a b there I see a der L last right there back there yeah bu his food oh yeah you can come on my where you trying to go just out just live living out there okay all right so I mean do you see my issue with this like if if let's say a storm comes like we just had right here since January so I know three storms that I've been in yeah so let's say that happens and you come off this right and you just start floating your anchor fails you get into deep water whatever the case may be like at that point in time now I like during the storm we can't come out and and we can't come out and rescue you until after the fact and who knows you could be halfway into the golf in the middle of it you know what I'm saying all right so here's the deal um I'm going to derit your boat all right I'm going to start the process then we'll have some other paperwork to go over I can tell you probably in the next couple weeks you're going to have a court date um you have to go before judge talk to him um what happens when I don't go then they're going to issue a bench warrant are you going to go or no yeah like if you get if I give you a court date like would you go to court oh that if you gave me a court date yeah I would make up my mind of what I'm doing I wouldn't let you know okay I would I would accept the fact that a g in in a uniform with a weapon just handed me Cate and I would understand the fact that that's how the law Works um all right so here after talking to you and everything else all right um you're going to I'm going to have you come with us tonight all right so we're going to deal with this just immediately we're going to get it over and done with okay so we're going to we're we're going to take you to stock island jail you just stay there overnight no you're going to go
