neverbe seen body cam footage on July 8th 2024 officer Grant of Florida Fish and Wildlife was on land Patrol in a marked patrol truck driving on St John's Park way when you witnessed a vehicle activate their patrol lights and initiate what appeared to be a traffic stop as a common courtesy officer Grant made a u-turn to assist with a stop upon pulling behind the vehicle the officer noted that it was a security vehicle marked as Godly Security Agency and the man wearing khaki shorts was nothing but an armed security guard and what we have here ladies and gentlemen is a classic case of impersonating an officer and I'll tell you what if I'm going to have my civil rights violated I want it to be by an actual police officer like officer Grant what the hell what's up man I he said his car is overhea so I SM it I was smelling as he was going I just I just stopped to make sure everything was okay I wasn't sure if it was physically something wrong with him in the car whatever just cheing to make sure you pulled him over though no I Ain pull him over he was he was already cutting his lights on I wasn't trying to pull him over I didn't know if he was pulling over or whatever I was just cheing to make sure everything was okay I know I don't do any pull over anything but if I see somebody with but he wasn't but he wasn't pulled over though he was moving yeah he was moving I thought he was pulling over to the side and I was going to check on to make sure everything okay with and everything okay yeah that's all that's all it is do you normally do that well if if somebody like if somebody has license on or whatever or whatever put to the side cuz he was moving like as he was coming down the road was moving over real slow so I just wanted to check on and make sure everything was fine okay do you normally do that though yeah you normally put on put on your lights and P pull somebody over to check on them no we don't pull nobody over to check on them but they were but they were moving and then they stopped when they saw your lights you see what I mean yes sir but I wasn't like trying to pull them over or anything I'm not impersonating the police or whatever I was just just basically trying to check on them make sure everything is fine is that your job though I mean no it's not my job but it's just time and courtesy just to check up on somebody to make sure okay that's so that's called a well that's called a welfare check that is a form of traffic stop okay you're you're I'm guessing you're some you're you're armed I see you're you're some sort of security I'm not familiar with their company but that's that's a welfare traffic stop okay well I wasn't time of make because they were moving I saw your car moving I saw your lights on which I've never seen these lights these kind of lights before yeah the the car pulled over stopped and then as I pulled up cuz I I did a whip to U-turn then they they just pulled away yeah I like I said I was wasn't trying to make a team like I was trying to pull them over anything I was just basically trying to check and see if everything was okay that's all it all right are you like are you going somewhere to like a job right now are you coming from a job or yes sir I'm I work for G security with h by dream finders home we check all the check the properties in between St Augustine and Jacksonville so I understand the reason why you're doing it you you have to be I don't believe you're Pro you're probably not State Certified law enforcement officer you have to be careful with what you do because you could violate someone's rights yes sir do you understand that yes sir like the fourth amendment you could you could violate somebody's rights by conducting a welfare traffic stop by pulling by turning your lights on and pulling them over which I'm not sure you're lawfully allowed to do so even to do a welfare check no when when the when the vehicle's maying you have IDE on you by chance yes sir okay thanks man yeah I mean I originally pulled behind you to back you up on a traffic stop what I thought it was a traffic stop and then I realized you're not with St John's County no I'm I'm not conducting no traffic talk I was just basically checking to make sure everything was okay with it okay security got got security AGC I got you um let me just let me check on a few man if you don't mind I'm going to go and just just disarm you okay thanks man is this the only firearm you have yes sir okay you don't have any else in your vehicle no sir all right it's just it's really interesting how how often do you I mean you said you you do this often no I don't do that often but like I say if somebody is like like I say he cut on the hazard light smelt they coming from his car so I want to make sure everything is okay with him and everything okay but it was I wasn't TR to I got you so just sit tight for me okay man thanks hey man I got a weird traffic stop here I was driving uh on St John's Parkway and I witnessed a vehicle pull over another car they were both moving I turned around it's a security car with flashing white and green lights and it's it says marked Patrol unit crime prevention officer Godly security I go up and talk to the guy and he's like oh you know I was just pulling them over just to just to check on them they were had their hazards on and I was smelling stuff from under their Hood I'm like but dude you you you you just performed a traffic stop and you're not a State Certified law enforcement officer he's like yeah I do that from time to time I'm like you perform welfare check traffic stops is that your job so I have an armed security officer here which I haven't even checked his credentials by the way you're on um this is all body camera but uh I I got his driver's license I got the signal zero it's a Glock 19 he's he's open carrying um flashing white and green lights actually pulled a car over to do a welfare check on a car oh they took off they they they by the time I got turned around they were already down the road blinking you can't he's he he just violated this guy's civil rights he is like that's not his that's not his job is to pull a moving vehicle over to perform a welfare check no that's that is a that is a crime like that that is that is I mean you should see like the his lights are still on right now no I haven't searched his vehicle yet he's still in front of his car texting right now um that the other vehicle had taken off but I mean I witnessed it all happened they had their hazards on probably had some car trouble but he you can't you can't pull somebody over to do a welfare check in a security vehicle security car um I don't know what this guy's history is or anything I may I may uh this guy search his car um read this guy Miranda by the time you get up here I mean you might you know just depends on where we're at over are but as of right now man I mean it's it's it's impersonating law enforcement officer all day long uh I I just I can't I've never run into this I've only seen this on YouTube uh just shocking like you can't you can't open carry and pull somebody over when they're okay so what turned into me um coming and backing you up because I thought you were a County Sheriff's deputy this is now turned into an actual traffic stop and investigation okay now I see you have a body camera on did you happen to record your stop of your person no sir I wasn't I wasn't trying to stop and pull them over I okay well you did though you were you were you were in motion I saw you turn your lights on and you pulled over to the side of the road so so you did I I actually witnessed that all right you on speaker who is this my boss okay Officer Grant S he AG I'm I'm with the Florida Fish Life conservation sir I don't know I don't know okay actually what was the purpose of I guess the encounter my officer okay well your your officer whoever the security guy is I witnessed him uh conduct a traffic stop a welfare stop on a on a moving vehicle know okay tell you what sir we're not going to argue with you okay we'll be sure to call you back thank you I'm not about to sit here and talk to somebody I don't know on a cell phone okay I I don't I don't care who this is okay he's not in relation to what's going on here okay so we're not going to talk to him right now okay we're just we're not I mean you can you can you can talk to him in your ear I'm not going to sit here and try to have a conversation and argue with whoever this boss person is okay so go and step here back back here to my my car for me okay on patrol truck step back GE for me okay put your hands up on the side of my truck for me you are you armed you have any knives anything on you that's going to enforcement officer I'm not I'm telling you I witnessed you pull that person he was pulling over to the side as he as he the vehicle was moving the vehicle was moving you activated your lights then their vehicle stopped that's called a traffic stop a well welfare traffic stop that's exactly what you did I witnessed you do it I was driving Northbound and saw you do it there's no argument okay have a seat back here for me that's not your job bud you're not a real cop I mean you got a body camera on you got a officer security badge to any reasonable civilian I mean like you appear to be like some for some s of form of law enforcement it's dark out yes sir and I talk talk to the guy say flashing lights of course they're going to pull over man you're armed is your credentials in your car my credentials are in my pocket in my wallet can you show me please just this whole thing's weird man yes sir like this is this is way you're you're way outside your job description now man like by you like that before might be an older unit right so we went to U-turn he pulled over a moving car with this hazards on that was kind of driving just like in the bike lane okay he activated his lights pulled them over conducted a welfare traffic stop on them and sent them on their way the vehicle was moving pulled them over walked up and engaged them and as I was pulling up it took me a second cuz I had to go on the second turnaround yeah they were already down the road with their Hazard so I hop out talk to this guy his lights are still on he's open carrying he has 511 Shorts on a security patrol shirt on with a you can you can see his uniform to to any uh reasonable civilian it would appear That's yeah uh you were you know stopped by some sort of law enforcement yeah that is it's very very strange so the other party already left right they already left yes but I witnessed It All Happened something you see off YouTube though and I witnessed the whole thing happened the strangest thing I have no idea I don't remember what he said it's the strangest thing though so yeah so as of right now I have impersonating a law enforcement officer you're you're headed home I was you're wanting us to take over I'm just trying to I don't I don't have to I mean I I can take I can take charge them I I witness it don't happen okay it's up to you if you want us to take over what we can do quite a bit um if you don't we'll assist you in anything you want you just need to let us know how you want this to play out I mean how would you guys do it any differently than me doing it me taking it no I mean I literally it's just a cut and dry it's a cut and dry arrest I mean those are the lights I saw I mean this was all stand by for a record it's super that's crazy it's just super crazy man he's way outside he's way out of line way out of line GSA that's what I said we need to call that number and check that account that what do website anyways yeah it's completely up I get what I witnessed it I witnessed it I'm I'm just going to take it um I haven't searched his car yet I want to see if he has dash cam up though he's open carrying on this traffic yeah open carry is not legal state for yeah am I wrong as far as I know he's not to he's not you can only open carry when you're to and from in route Hunting Fishing hiking or camping you heard you ever heard of a open carry license but he's open carrying on his traffic stop yeah it's so weird no that is weird I KN I mean I I'll give you one more that's weird let me check let me hold on I know Florida is not did you look Parkway okay I see I see a car I see your lights being activated I see the I see the vehicles moving both of you moving and pulled over okay what was why was what was the reason that you pulling that vehicle over I was not pulling him over okay the Vehicles were both moving though correct he was moving over to the side okay your your vehicle was moving my their vehicle was moving as he was yes yes so both vehicles were in operation you then parked your car exited your car and walked up to that vehicle to talk to them correct okay what was the reason for that just just a just a check a disabled vehicle I'm helping just it's not disabled though if it's an operation you understand that it's different it's different than somebody already parked that's not in okay you understand that you understand the difference yes sir okay all right um who do you work for goly Security Agency okay and when I asked you this before you said that you've do this sometimes no I asked you that before and you said that you do this sometimes when there's people when they pull when they're pulled over on the side of the road and we're ask like we right when there's okay so what's the reason why you would pull this vehicle over tonight versus another one that's just station there was no pulling the vehicle over just pulling just checking to make sure everything is good that's not your job though right okay so you you stop the vehicle you engage your lights so we're running around the bush right here okay both vehicles are in motion you activated your lights you stop the vehicle to talk to them okay that's called a traffic stop it's called a welfare traffic stop okay you are not a State Certified law enforcement officer right okay you don't work for any police agency or state law enforcement agency or federal agency right yes sir okay I walk up to you as they're exiting and you're open carrying okay you're not allowed to be open carrying I'm not open caring I'm I'm you are open carrying your firearm I'm on duty you're on duty yes sir you're in between jobs the county road is not your duty we monitor we monitor 12 props between St John do you monitor traffic no we don't monitor traffic that's what you were doing tonight it's good being a good citizen just checking make sure everything is good for safety lives hey man all right we got some issues okay 100% you're impersonating a law enforcement officer 100% by you activating your lights and pulling that vehicle over you're way out of line man I witness it all happen there's no arguing okay you can't be open carrying walking up to a citizen to any to any citizen it would appear that you're a law enforcement officer you have body camera uh you're you're open carrying you're wearing BDU shorts you you have a badge that says State of Florida officer Security on it you have rank insignia you have flashing lights man it's dark out if I was that family and that that happened to me I would pull over because I think that the cops were pulling me over the police are pulling me over but you're not the police man yes way out line I know I'm not the police I know I'm SEC you're way out of line I know I'm security and that's what I told the guy I'm I'm not pulling you over I'm security I'm just checking to make sure everything is okay it's not your job though and you violated his right Trans on your back as of right now you are under arrest for impersonating a law enforcement officer in the State of Florida St John's County I understand I understand maybe the reason why you did that tonight you should not have done that though because you're not police officer it's up to him not us buddy I'm not going to argue with your boss man your boss wants to argue with me already I'm not talking to him they're okay because their hazards were on and he smelled some burning oil so he he activated his lights and pulled them over cuz they were both moving he pulled them over on the shoulder got out and walked up to their driver side window and was talking the vehicle was not actually seized but a good bit of the man's equipment was such as his body cam firearm ammo and dash camera the man was charged with impersonating an officer and open carrying a firearm this is probably the second or third time officer Grant has made an appearance in one of my videos and if he's watching I just want to
