We renewed yesterday, but you'll be able to see that, right? >> Got it. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can't be used against you in court. Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you, Mr. >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> Yes. >> With these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me now? >> Sure. >> Okay. Uh, Mr. >> Do you understand each of these rights I've explained to you? >> Yes. >> With these rights in mind, do you wish to talk to me now? >> Sure. >> All right. So, were you guys measuring the lobsters in the water? Just half. We're going to reme-measure them on the boat and just toss the towards. >> Were you measuring lobsters in the water? >> No. >> Do you guys have measuring devices in the water? >> Yes. >> Okay. >> So, half doesn't cut it. Okay. >> What's that? >> Half measurement does not cut it. Okay. So, just so you guys understand, there's nine lobsters total. Eight of them on their sized. >> Eight. >> Eight. >> Okay. >> All right. So when I'm measuring them correctly. >> Okay. >> Okay. How fast or not? Okay. >> So, >> but I didn't >> just Yeah. Oh, do you have your IDs as well? >> I have I don't have my ID. Okay. >> I'm not sure which ones I try. Just >> Okay. Hold up. Okay, you can go back to the boat. Mr. He picked his out. You can you can put yours to the side as well. >> These are the ones you take. >> Yep. >> All right. Back to the bus. >> All right. All right. So, just so you're aware, this is a misdemeanor and it is an arrestable offense. Okay. Okay, I can take you both of you to jail right now. Okay, I'm not going to do that. Thank you. >> Okay, so it's a notice it's going to get a it's a criminal citation. Okay, so it is mandatory court appearance. >> Where? >> You have to go to court for this. >> Where at? >> It'll be here in Marathon. Yeah. I don't know anything. What do I do? >> This is hers. She did them at the same time. >> I got >> Whose is this? >> Mine? >> Yours? Okay. >> But how come it doesn't show up on >> What about yours? >> It's I've got to find it. It's tough. >> Yeah. >> There you go. >> Okay. There's another one up. >> All right. >> Food, clothes. >> Nothing. >> Trash and shoes. >> Waterproof bag. Our floats. >> All right. >> Yeah, we we haven't come out of the water since we got in. >> Okay. I just logged in as M. It says auto renewals on. It was renewed on the 30th and it's good until August 25th. I think it's at the bottom. I can hit back and it'll show Dennis Pandis. I just logged in. >> Yeah, I just saw his name right now. >> Okay, good. >> Here. All right, perfect. >> Yep. >> So, you guys just hang tight. Be with you guys in a minute. All right. If you guys want to drop your power pole, you can. Okay. >> Okay. Yo, what's up? Did you get caught in this? Did you get caught in the rain? Yeah. Yeah. No, I'm stuck here in the rain with these people. But it's like my my printer's working the I don't know if it ran out of ink. I don't know what the is wrong with my printer. She's working perfectly fine. I mean, I it works, but I'm I'm going to need you to print. Should I just let these people go and do the same thing we did last time? I just bring them the the copy later and I stay with their their IDs cuz I don't want to keep them here any longer. Yeah. Give me a second. Let me ask. Hey guys, are you guys staying here locally? What >> are you guys staying local here? >> Yeah. >> Where? >> Key Colony. >> In Key Colony Beach. Okay. >> 123. >> So, here's what we're going to do. Okay. I'm not going to give you a half uh uh print. Okay. So, you guys are >> Okay, you guys. >> So, we're going to we're going to move. I'm going to stay with your IDs. Give me your address. Okay. >> I'm just going to give you back, ma'am, your ID and hers. Okay. >> Okay. I'm going to stay with your IDs. Here's three drive. Correct. >> What is it? Oh, here's the >> bag1. >> Hey guys. Um, yeah. So, two of the lobsters were inside, so I do have them for you. So, I'm I'm returning them to you as well. Okay. >> Say that again. >> Uh, two lobsters. >> Oh, >> you know, out of out of the nine, there was two that were inside. So, I'm going to I have them in my car. So, I'm guilty. Okay. >> All right. >> Uh, I'll be right back. I'm just going to give you guys these. I just need a signature. Explain everything to you guys. Okay. >> Just give me a minute. >> So, these are these are in size from legal size. So, you guys can keep these. Okay. Because you guys do have your u your licenses. They're all valid. So, you guys are able to keep these. Okay. >> All right. >> And this is your ID as well. >> All right. So, I'm going to explain to you guys something. Uh, my copy is the same as yours, vice versa. Nothing different. Okay. So, I'm going to explain to you. So, you guys have uh there's a there's a one charge for each of you, okay? It's for having uh possessing an underized lobster. Okay? Um it is a misdemeanor and uh it was it is an arrestable offense and I decided not to do that today. I use my discretion by not taking you guys to jail. Uh it's just a notice to appear. It's an a mandatory court appearance. So, in the back of the citation is going to be your court date. It's going to be on the 19th of September, 2024 at 9:00 in the morning. This is the number for the Marathon >> Courthouse. Okay. And the front of the citation is also the address of the courthouse. Okay. >> Okay. If you want to give them a call, if you don't understand something, >> uh I'm going to, you know, anything that I explain to you. Okay. And you can ask me questions once I'm done. >> Okay. >> Uh failure to appear to court is there'll be a warrant written out for your arrest. Okay? So, it's imperative that you guys uh make the appearance. Um if you guys have any questions, you give them a call. The only thing that I need from you guys is a signature on my copies. Your signature is not an admission of guilt. It only means that you've understood and you acknowledge everything that I've explained to you. Court date on the 19th of September, 2024, 9:00 a.m. Mar. >> So, these are court dates that I don't choose. Okay. >> But I mean, is there a way we just pay the fine? And >> so, this this isn't a this isn't a it's a it's a criminal citation. >> It's a misdemeanor. So, it requires court though. We there will be fines that you do have to pay, but that's up to the judge, >> right? I get you. >> Yeah. It's not up to me. I don't put the number on the how much it's going to be or anything like that, >> right? Which is hard for me to get off. This is the first day I've had off since last January. >> I got you. I understand. >> First day out. We just got here. >> I'm the only painter there shop down so I could do this for a week. >> I gotcha. >> So, it's like it's tough. >> And I understand. And I I'm telling you, it happens all the time. And I just cuz I asked for the court date and that's it. It's a misdemeanor court date and then that's what they give me. And I can't I can't switch it. I can't tell. >> Work that way. Okay. So, like I said, uh I just need a signature on the citation of my copy. Your signature is an admission of guilt. It only means that you understand and acknowledge everything I explained to you. Court on the 19th, September September 19th, 2024, 9:00 a.m. Marathon courthouse and the number in the back. And obviously, you know, if you don't uh if you don't show up, it warrant will be written for your arrest. Do we understand that? >> Yeah. >> You guys have any questions for me? >> No. Will you guys sign my Will you sign my copy? >> I guess. Yeah. I mean, my my cousin's retired law enforcement. My best friend's a county sheriff. >> Will you sign my copy? >> All right. >> My brother-in-law is going to be uh >> he's going on duty and I >> All right. You guys have any other questions for me? >> Got it. All right, guys. That better. >> In the end, 26-year-old Alexander was charged with two counts of possession of undersized crawfish.
