On November 9th, 2024, cops caught someone trying to pull off a fancy shopping scam, trying to spend almost $5,000 with fake info. Cameras and witnesses showed her switching IDs and sneaking past credit card checks. This video just shows how some people get creative with scams and why quick police action is key to stopping big losses. >> Um, my car somewhere, I'm not sure where. And um I was like shopping here. I didn't buy anything. And then I look at my phone and my credit card is like, "Are you trying to buy from Louis V store? $3,870." How much was it? >> $3,870. And I was standing there and I'm like, "No, like reject like whatever." >> And so my first thought is just come here to tell them, see if we can find the person who did it. And I just went in and told them like, "Hey, it's not me. Obviously, I'm not in the store." Rejected it. And then I saw like other um other transactions and then I started like declining them but they went there. The other one was I don't know. I went away from my phone. I don't know why the leave one went away and the other one that stuck that I think went through is for Nordstrom for 1,000 something. >> That one did go through. >> It did go through and so I was going to go to Nordstrom and I went started going that way. Didn't realize it was that way >> and then I came back and asked them if they knew and then they started giving me all the information. >> Okay. Did they say that the person who did make they know who she was or or he >> No. Then they said like oh I they like say here and then sorry I'm nervous. >> Yeah. >> And then they said that they think they saw it on camera and then they the girl asked me my name and I told her my name and she's like yeah that's the name they gave. And then they told me to just kind of stay here cuz I don't want >> Who did you speak to? You know, first I spoke to one of the salesersons in the Louis Vuit store and then I think he's the manager and then the security guy came in. >> Gotcha. Do you have your ID with you? >> Yeah. >> And how much was the one from Northern that actually did go through? >> I can't remember, but I can let you know. It was 1,000 something. And it's weird cuz now well like I'm Oh, there you go. >> 15. >> That was the only And then the other ones that I rejected >> disappeared. >> Gotcha. Okay. Cuz they got >> I guess they didn't go through or something, >> right? >> So this is the only one that's that stuck there. >> And I >> And what kind of bank was what? City Bank. It's a um City Bank app. >> So, City Bank card. >> It's an American Airlines credit card through City Bank. >> Okay, gotcha. And what does it look like? So, is it American say American Airlines? >> Yeah, this is literally the picture of the car like it's gray. >> Okay, perfect. So, it says my name here. >> A a Got it. What's the last four >> like the number? years. >> All right. Perfect. Perfect. And you swear everything you told me is true? >> Yeah. >> The victim spotted some shady charges on their credit card, but acted kind of careless. Instead of jumping on it right away, they seemed confused and only later reported it to the store. The staff collected the details, but the victim could have been way more careful. Reporting fast helped track the charges, but it took a minute to get things under control. >> Yeah. >> All righty. And um >> what time did you last use it? Do you remember? >> Last time I used this credit card was last night at the Latin market. But >> Okay. But did you have it here? Do you think you had it? >> I did have it here. You did have it here, but somehow you >> So, I lost it either in the parking lot cuz when I got out of my car, my wallet was open and everything fell. But I remember grabbing it. I remember grabbing everything. >> Right. Right. Right. >> Or I did go to the average crumb store to make a return and I took everything out. >> Okay. >> So, it could have been there. It could have been at the parking lot. >> And I also went Sara and also did a return. >> Gotcha. So, different places here. So, >> those are the three places I >> have. What's your phone number? >> All right. Perfect. Uh, yep. Just give me one second. Let me uh figure out. Okay. >> So, she's in there right now trying to make another person. >> Okay. Gotcha. Which one lady is it? Can you >> right? >> Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. I'm curious to see if she she made a purchase 38. She said her name was Laura. >> Gotcha. Which is walked in the second my >> Okay. Gotcha. Gotcha. I think he's making it. >> Yeah, that actually did go through. So, >> perfect. Perfect. And how do we know for sure that that was her that made it? >> So, so they only had one declined credit card and it was her. >> Gotcha. I guess one of the sales person told you Okay. >> Correct. The store manager told me that this was the only declined credit card. Can you just get the store manager for I don't want to walk into Spooker or or I don't know if he's in front and so you just real quick get call to him right quick and then we'll I'll try to make contact with him. >> Oh, you're coming up. All right. Okay, they got >> perfect. Perfect. >> What's going on? >> Yeah. >> Hey, how's it going? >> Good. >> Store manager. Yes, sir. >> Okay. So, tell me your part. So, what how did you get involved? So, um, the client that you just spoke with report, she came into the store and said, "I just had a charge." >> The store and the victim double checked names, numbers, and footage, but the victim's vague answers and slip up slowed things down. Card info and the timeline got recorded, but their lack of caution was obvious. If they had been a bit more on top of things, spotting and tracking the suspect would have been way easier. She's uh the wearing the black dress with the tattoo on her left arm. >> Gotcha. So obviously hers didn't Gotcha. Gotcha. >> What did they So what are they trying to do now? Do you even know? >> They said that they wanted to look at a bag. We pulled a bag out of the window. We we uh we've got one of our managers helping her. Who knows what the situation is. >> Got when we get to a point of sale. Um, normally if a client is just tapping their card and we don't take possession of their card, we actually don't have to check identification any longer. But in this situation, PEA is going to make sure that when they go to pay with a card that we ask for ID, >> make sure that we check it, right? So likely that will stop whatever kind of foolishness. >> Yep. So, uh, yeah, I mean it's up to you guys. You guys can continue on with the whatever sale y'all are doing or um or I could just intervene. It's always up to you if you always want to >> want to just go on or whatever or I can do whatever. >> We'd like to just continue on peacefully and sort of not cause a scene get to a point of sale. Look, if the guy pulls out a card and it matches his ID and it goes through, >> yeah, for that transaction, then I I can't do anything. Right. If what happens, I think it's going to happen is when we go to ask for ID, they're going to be like, "Oh, uh, oh, we don't have it." And then they'll be like, "All right, we'll come back." And then they leave and then maybe that's when maybe you can >> Yep. So, yeah. Yep. We'll do it that way. Whenever they come out, I can just go ahead and talk to them. >> Do you have your ID on you? >> I do. Yeah. >> Let's see. >> I'm like, man, I had to run and go get it, man. I was like, it's been a day. >> Holidays are coming up. >> That's right. Yeah. >> There you go. >> No, never. Not once. immediately like >> Yeah, that's it's never happened to me. It's never happened to me. Usually the criminal's long gone by the time I'm just worried about >> Yeah, I know. They probably have like a card reader where like >> what's up? Hey, man. What's up? What's up? >> What's up, man? What's your uh phone number here or your >> uh you I'll give you my Louis Vuitton number. It's uh 470 3382722. >> Perfect. Perfect. And you swear everything you told me is true. >> Yeah. Yeah. Everything that's good. It looks like they're coming out so I don't know if they uh they got it looks like the transaction went through. So there's no issue. Okay. Perfect. Perfect. >> All right. Thanks. Give me a call. >> Yep. Excuse me. You mind if I talk to you guys for agent? >> Sure. >> You mind if I talk to you guys? >> Yeah. >> So, here. Let's get out of the way here. >> The suspect, Laura, got IDed, and the store put some safety steps in place, but their response was slow. ID checks and monitoring were a must, but both the victim and the store weren't super sharp. Paperwork was solid, but everyone needed to stay way more alert. So earlier, were you here and made a purchase on a credit card on American or tried to make a purchase? >> No. >> No. >> You weren't just here a little while ago and tried to make one and it got declined? >> No. >> So, not you? >> No. >> Are you sure? >> Where are you at but for here? >> I just got here not too long ago meeting up my man. >> Gotcha. Gotcha. So, just a little while ago, you weren't just in there tried to make a purchase for $3,000. It got declined. You walked out and then he joined you while you were standing over here. >> You've been right next to >> Yeah, but I've known him for a while and I don't know. What are you trying to get to? >> Okay. So, they just had a purchase here. Okay. >> That was me. >> Wow. >> Not not just >> I get a little defensive. Sorry. >> I get it. That's what I'm trying to explain it to you, but you just interrupted. I was first time I've spoken since, >> right? You just asked me for what was it getting to and I was trying to explain this the situation and then you interrupted me. So I'll wait. Right. Right. So that was what I'm trying to get to. Okay. So just a little while ago there was a purchase that was made here at Louis Vuitton. Okay. It was used with a card and then it got declined. Okay. And so what they just told me was it was you that made the purchase and then you exited the store. Stood over here >> looking at a bag. >> Yeah. looking at a bag. >> I came back. I met my man and I came back. >> Right. Right. Right. So, >> that's what I'm was getting to, right? You just said a little while ago you it >> I was here looking at a bag. I wasn't walking around. >> And did you use a American Express or airlines card, advantage card? >> No, >> no, you did not. >> No, I didn't. >> Okay. Do you have your ID with you? >> What is this for? I'm confused. >> Because the the card that was used in that transaction was stolen. >> Oh, no. I don't have a card. I don't have my ID. I literally just came here to meet him. >> Okay. So, were you here before? Again, to back to that other question, were you here with when he was not here? >> Yeah. I was in here walking around. I looked at a bag and that was it. And then I left and I met him. >> So, during that transaction there, like I was saying, that bag you tried to purchase? >> No, >> you did not try to purchase it and you did never hand it. So, the cameras the camera's there and the transaction was not. Is that not true? cuz I want you to please be completely honest with me cuz it's not a big deal. >> No, I tried to use my card, but I did not get anything. >> So, now we're getting more of the story here, right? You see what I'm saying? >> Okay. So, just a minute ago, you're giving me like three different stories. Okay. >> Three different stories. I walked in. I was looking at >> cuz before this, remember my first interaction with you when I first asked you, did you come here earlier? You told me no. That you came here with just him. >> I didn't come here earlier. And then you and then you kind of added information saying that you were then looking at a purse, >> right? >> Okay. Gotcha. And then you told me that you did not make a transaction. And now, hold on. Hold on. Let me finish. >> Then you told me that you did not make a transaction at all. But then now you just told me that you just used your card. >> All right. So, we're getting So, let's get back to the real story. Okay. >> What's going on now? >> As soon as the cops met her, her story was all over the place. First, she said she wasn't even there. Then, she wanted to check her bag. Then, she swore she didn't use any card. But suddenly, she remembered she did try to buy something. Her story kept flipping, making it look like she either forgot stuff or was straight up twisting the truth. >> I just told you the card that you tried to make a transaction cuz I want I'm just going to be completely honest with you. Okay. >> My card. >> No, the card that you tried to make a purchase with. >> I only have my card. So, >> Okay. Do you have your ID with you? >> No, I don't. >> All right. That's >> So you have nothing with your name on it inside your purse? >> I have my card. Yes. >> Okay. Can you take it out for me? >> You have any other cards inside of there? >> No. >> So when they look back and try to see that the purchase that you tried to make earlier, will it say this card on it? >> It should. It didn't go through. So, >> so will it. Well, it's going to it registers, right? So, everything that that you do, all the transactions are obviously kept in the computer system. >> I'm sorry if I'm boring you there. >> No, I'm just sorry. >> Okay. So, is this going to be the card? I'm going to ask you one time. >> Okay. And honestly, I'm honestly honestly will probably get you a long ways, right? Because we've already got a little bit tripped up in the truth. >> I just don't understand what is happening right now. >> So, the like I told you before. All right. I want you to be >> completely honest. So, there's about 400 cameras throughout this this mall. >> Okay. In Nordstrom, there's cameras. >> Okay. >> All right. Do you know what happened in Nordstrom? >> No, I don't. >> Okay. So, there's cameras all throughout Louis Vuitton as well. Okay. >> Okay. >> All right. And when you present a card, >> right, >> when you try to make a transaction, it is logged. >> Is log what? >> Log O G E D. >> Right. Yes. >> Okay. So, did when you tried to make that purchase for that bag, >> is this going to be the card that is registered in the system? >> Yes, that's the only card that I have. >> Okay. >> I don't understand. >> And is this your name that is on here? >> Yes, that is my name. >> What's your date of birth? >> 2493. >> All right. So, since we kind of established Louis Vuitton at Nordstrom, did you go into Nordstrom today? >> No, I didn't. You never went into Nordstrom today? >> I walked through there. Yeah. >> So again, my question did you go through? Yes, I did. I walked through. >> Did you try to make a purchase or did you make a purchase? >> No, >> you did not. Okay. >> So, any other cars inside of your bag right now? Do you mind if I look? >> No. Why do you have to look in my bag? What What am I am I being arrested? Am I being held? Like, what's the problem? And can I have my car back? >> Yes, you can have your car back. One second. I don't feel comfortable with you taking my card information. >> I to be honest, I don't care what you feel comfortable of. >> What is that? I don't understand >> because listen, do you understand what what's going on here? I mean, >> not at all, man. >> Okay, so again, I'll explain the story. >> She keeps saying only her card was used, but the transaction matches the stolen card perfectly. She's clearly confused, or maybe it's a tactic to stall, to blur the facts. Her attempts to act innocent are kind of funny, but she's sticking to her I didn't do anything act. Anyway, >> I've been driving over here for about an hour. I told Valerie to meet me in Nordstrom. I came into Nordstro and she said, "Go to Neim and Marcus and that's where I went." So again, so I'll explain the story. Someone's card was stolen. Okay. We get a uh the person who the card belongs to gets notification from Nordstrom. All right. That a purchase was made for $1,000. A little over $1,000. Okay. Ne sorry, Louis Vuitton gets uh the person, she gets a not another notification that someone is using her card at Louis Vuitton for about $3,000 for a bath. Okay. Like I said, there's cameras all over this mall. Every inch of this mall is is is monitored by the camera surveillance system. Okay. Louis Vuitton, the person who the the card belongs to, she gets to Louis Vuitton just a little while ago, alerts them with what's going on. Okay. Obviously, they're able to backtrack and log see every transaction and purchase that is made. Okay. So, young lady here, there is um who they identify. There's only one decline transaction today for that same amount and it matches the card number that it was used for that transaction matches the victim's uh stolen credit card. Okay. And unfortunately they identified you as being the person who used that card during that transaction. And during that transaction, she said they they were saying that she said that told them that her name was Laura, who is the card owner. You get what I'm saying? >> So, >> and after she hold on one sec, let me let me just finish this one sec. >> So, after she le, you know, makes the transaction, she comes out of the store, stands over here, and then that's when you come and join her. >> That's not true. That's not what happened. >> That wasn't true. I literally >> So that was that was earlier and then you guys go back and >> that's not what happened. >> Okay. >> So >> So I met her at meeting Marcus about 20 minutes ago. >> Yep. >> Maybe 30. >> So you just said that I met her here. I didn't >> Well, did you Well, before again, >> she said she was in there probably earlier today. >> I wasn't in there. >> That's That's exactly what I'm saying. She was in there by herself and at some point she exited and then she returns with you. When was when was she supposed to be there? >> That that the exact time I don't know the exact >> but again that that that kind of Well, that kind Well, how do they know that she >> I don't know whether or not there's a conflict. >> Well, there is no conflict because it kind of it matches exactly what what they were saying. She was in there by hold on. She was in there by herself looking at a bag, which is exactly what she says. >> Now, it's obvious that just being there doesn't prove she did it. Cameras and records show her using the stolen card, totally contradicting her I'm innocent act. She tries changing dates, making up excuses, mixing up timelines, but digital proof exposes every single lie. >> Right. She says, and then she kind of changes the story. She didn't. She first she says she didn't make a transaction, then she says she did make a try to make a transaction, but it was declined, right? Then she leaves out and you guys come back again with you, which is exactly what they said. >> Okay. So, you just said you guys come back. You want to correct that? >> Well, you I should say she comes back with you. So, you weren't you weren't a part of the the original thing at all whatsoever. So, you you weren't a part of it whatsoever. But it gets to my you know, and the stories match up. She was in there by herself trying to make a transaction using the victim's stolen car and then you come with her when she leaves out, she gets you, whatever happens, you guys meet up, whatever, y'all go back inside or you go inside with her at that time. So you had no involvement in it whatsoever. All right. So yeah, we'll get that >> very patient to speak and I'm afraid speak because you accused me of interrupting you. So let me know when you're ready. >> Go ahead. Whenever you're ready to talk. >> Okay. So I met her someplace else and it took us about 20 minutes to get in there. >> Right. >> Right. You keep saying that I was either we or us. And so that's not really what count. So, what you're saying is she went in there as Laura and she used somebody else's card and she used it downstairs at Nordstrom. >> Downstairs or upstairs? Where's everyone? >> Okay. She used this that card also as Laura over at Nordstrom's >> that that I'm not too worried about right now. We're worried about the Louis Vuitton. So, it's two different incidents here. >> Two different incidents. >> Okay. So, then I go in there and she's been kind of hitting on me to get a bag for a little while. So then she's giving me this [ __ ] that I've been going could give her a bag. And the reason why I say [ __ ] is because I'm totally against spending this much money a bag. So she talks me into it and I do it. So now that's just because of my own principles. I never spent this much money on a bag or whatever. >> So I go and I buy the bag. It has nothing to do with this previous stuff and I can't really tell. Are you saying that she was alone and she was popping in and doing all these things? >> So yeah. Yeah. So once again, yes. So earlier today she was by herself again. She was by herself >> earlier today in here like 10 minutes in front of >> I wanted to do that. >> So earlier earlier today what time? Don't know. Not of an issue, right? She was in >> to me because I know where her time is. >> Well, she just by her What is the big issue? Like what are you trying to defute? Because by her by her own Hold on by her own by her own admissions. She said she was in there by her. >> Okay. Actually, you don't even need to be here. Actually, so you can go ahead and leave. You don't I mean there's no point in me even talking to you cuz you were not a part of this whatsoever. Just like you you wanted me to clarify with the we so you are you are not involved in this whatsoever. My issue is with her. All right. >> So right now you're being detained. All right. For an investigation. Okay. That's what's happening right now. So right now you're not free to leave at whatsoever. Okay. >> Her friend keeps saying he wasn't involved but she keeps dragging him into her story. classic move to dodge blame. Like being close to someone will erase her mess. She's trying to pin the fault on others, showing how self-centered she really is while the cops are smart enough to see through every lie. >> All right. >> Why? >> Cuz I, like I said, I'm conducting an investigation. >> I don't >> into the theft. So that's what's going to happen right now. Okay. So what I just need you to do, just stay right there. Don't move. If you want to, you can you can move against the wall there or whatever to get out of the way, though. Okay. >> Hey, is uh are they able to have the cash here? Cuz I I don't want to leave her by hers. So, just the the person who was did the transaction and the transaction just come out right quick and talk to me. So, what is the next step here? >> The next step. Uh, so there's going to be a couple steps. I'm going to finish my investigation and then we'll go from there. Can I use some? >> No, unfortunately not. You are How about this? Do you just have the cameras that I can see like the at her at the register or anything like that? >> I do. Here's here's the issue is technically standard operating procedure for this Y >> is that I have to we have to have a subpoena in order for me to give this information. >> Gotcha. >> So I I don't want to get it so far out of the lines. >> Yep. Now I I get in trouble on my side and open us up to some kind of litigation from their side. >> Um you never know. So >> I saw it on the cameras. >> Okay. >> Um and I can provide that to you upon request request. Okay. >> Um and I can give you the information of the individual that you'll need to reach out to to get that. >> But I can attest who's running it that she came in alone without this guy. >> Do you know what time it was? >> I can get you a time stamp, but I don't have a time. And she's up. >> Say it again. >> Yeah. Yeah. It's just fine. It's fine. As long as you argue. Why is he trying to Why is he trying to stand there getting his business? >> I know. You don't You don't You know what the situation is? Asking the strip club and he trying to press her. She >> refuses to show ID or let them check her card, acting all annoyed at every procedure. It's like she's performing, trying to make the cops feel like they're interfering while hiding her guilt. On small checks, her drama looks ridiculous, but the evidence keeps piling up. >> So, at least a lady who's um over there is being, you know, patient, >> right? >> Cuz this is a fiasco over here. >> But you handling it good, though. That's all I got to say. That's you got the good temperature for that. I just told him to step off a long time ago. Like I'm not talking about that. It's just >> Yeah. That's you know sometimes but it's >> I know I know you already know you making you making a big deal about it. It ain't about you bro. Just >> we can make it about you at the end of the day if you want to be but I don't think you want to be wrapped up like that. >> I know Morrison has uh good video at 3:37. >> 337. All right. Perfect. Perfect. And you again, so you saw the video. >> Yes. >> And you saw her insert the card >> for the item. Same amount. It declines. She immediately leaves the store on iPhone and then comes out here where she linked up with this guy. Then he came back in. >> Gotcha. And you're how sure from zero to 100% that that's the same female there. >> It's the exact same female. 100%. >> You know, it's got >> I'm not. So, uh, what I'm going to do is, uh, I'm going to go get you Michael's phone number. Right. Michael is my AP director. Got >> that way if you need records, if you need video or anything like that, he can produce that to you guys. I wish I could give it to you in the morning. >> Yeah. Yeah, I get it. I get it. No, I I get it. I get it. I get it. >> Go get Mike's info out. >> Well, can I view the video or is that No, I don't know. Some >> I don't Honestly, I don't know. So, come on. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. >> It's a gray area. >> Hey Can you just keep an eye? I'll be right. >> All right. So, >> perfect. Yeah, I appreciate it. Thank you. Thank you. You have a minute. >> So, what's what's going on? What do you mean? >> So, I went in to ask her if she just sold me this $1,600 bag knowing that the person that I was in there with had just tried to steal the bag or whatever the transaction was. And she goes, "I don't have to tell you anything." which I I get it. So >> which I just to be honest I just I just read looked at the video. >> Dude, you keep talking. >> I don't need That's fine. I'll keep talking. >> All righty, ma'am. We're going to go out to my police car, okay? >> Cuz you're under arrest right now. So go out. Otherwise, I'm asking you to listen. Listen. >> Even in custody, she's still spinning halftruths and making up excuses. Cameras are rolling. Records are there. Yet, she acts shocked like the world just invaded her privacy. Every trick, excuse, and blame she throws out is useless against the timeline in video. >> All right, turn around. Cuz I tried to do Why do you have to be >> I tried to be I >> I'm not resisting. Why are you hurting my arm so bad though? >> For what, though? >> Turn around. Put your hand behind your back. >> Okay. Why? >> But I tried to be nice and just have you walk outside on your own so that way you don't have to be look crazy with them. >> I was going to ask you a question >> with handcuffs on. But since you want to do this, >> but I'm not resisting. Why are you >> Nobody said you were resisting. >> But why are you being so mean? I'm just trying to find out what's going on. Where's the proof that I did this? >> I just watched the video. >> And it showed her car. >> Yep. >> How can you get that checkpoint back? I don't have her car. >> You probably don't have it anymore. >> I never had it. >> Like why do you have to do all this? >> All right, let's walk. But why? I didn't do anything. >> I'm so sorry. >> You're so sorry for what? >> I know. >> So now what? What's going to happen? Can you talk? >> What do you think is going to happen? >> I don't know. I just want to know. I've never been in this situation. >> Well, it's a time for a first, huh? >> But I just want to know where's the proof. I didn't do anything. Can you tell me please? Is it >> not okay for you to tell me? >> You can't tell me what the process is. >> We'll talk when we get outside. Where's the outside? How far is it? >> You don't have to be mean to me. You just want to ask a question. >> I think I'm not being mean. I think I've been actually very nice to you. probably too nice to you. >> I appreciate that, bud. You grab my arm. >> I'm sorry. >> Can you fix my dress, please? I don't want it to fall. >> Can you please >> I'm sorry. >> Can you fix my dress, please? I just don't want it to fall. Thank you. Yeah, be careful. >> Things get more intense. She's fighting being handcuffed and walking with cops, but her innocence claims only work for herself. Every question, she acts shocked or hesitant, like the legal process just hit her out of nowhere. Clearly, she's caught between the truth and her own doubts. There you go. What's happening now? Come on. >> I'm going in the park. >> Oh, yeah. >> Why? Do me a >> favor. Turn this way. You have anything on you? Any weapons, guns, knives, anything like that? >> No. Am I going to jail? >> Probably. So, >> for what? >> That's what happens when you steal. You go to jail. >> I didn't though. >> Okay. If you still want to stick with that story, okay. She still want to sit with that store, bro. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And then trying to be, you know, still nice to him. >> And they walk in there and he goes, "I'm going to go in there. Go talk to him. I'm walking the street." Like, "Yeah." Okay, bro. >> Okay. Perfect. carpet. >> Can you tell me what what's the process? >> Sir, so can you tell me do you know what the process is? >> Okay. >> All right. >> Can you go to Chick-fil-A? You say >> I was born in church because of a black Mercedes GLC 300. >> Where? >> I was born in church early. Can you take the bus? >> Go ahead. >> Right where >> Excuse me, sir. >> Am I allowed to ask a question? >> Uh, no. Not at this moment. She's still asking for proof, trying to prove she's innocent every step of the way. But every transaction and video says the opposite. Her shocked act, complaining about routine stuff and trying to dodge reality. It's all just buying time. There's no wiggle room, but she keeps struggling to look right. Is there anything you need for the victim? >> Uh, I'm actually going to call her. >> Okay. Um, see if she's comfortable coming out here just so I can uh talk to her. Um, >> she's right out here. She's right inside the room. >> Okay, perfect. Perfect. Yep. So, if she can just stay there for just a moment and then uh I'll get up there with her right there. >> Yeah. Right about not having her ID. >> Yeah. >> No card. Yeah. Right. Right. And she's right. She probably does. She probably dumped um the card off somewhere. >> Yeah, I just was probably have to call cuz she there was another transaction, you know, at Nordstrom. So, I'm going to have to see if they have video. That one actually did go through for like a,5 time for that and then call Nordstrom to, you know, I'm sure I know they got cameras. I got it on camera there. Um the >> problem is like so she dropped a multiple cart. >> Yeah. It's clear. So >> Yeah. She ain't going to work. I guess She probably should probably toss that that card in the trash before she gave it to the guy. >> He's like, you know, the sugar daddy, you know, so I don't know if uh >> he probably is. He's probably he unfortunately probably hit innocent, >> but uh >> No, I don't think I don't think she did anything. >> I think she passed the car over. >> Oh, okay. Okay. Can you come just a little closer because I got to keep an eye on >> She can't see you from over here. >> Okay. So, can you look and see what time was that transaction at Nordstrom? >> Her act in front of the truth is almost ironic. She says her card got lost, but the records show transactions at different spots. Every lie, tangled story, and little excuse is just her trying to hide the truth. She's causing confusion and stalling time, but ironically, she's trapping herself in her own story. >> Yeah. And it was $1,115.88. Okay. Let me give them a call right quick. >> Gotcha. Gotcha. All right. >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Perfect. Perfect. Yeah. Yeah, we can just look for that transaction and see the 309 p.m. >> $1,15.88. >> $1,588. >> Yep. At 30:09 p.m. Well, that's when she got the transaction. So, uh, just hang out just like 10 more minutes in case I need anything. If not, I'll, you know, cut you loose and then I'll just call you if I need, you know, need anything. >> Yes. >> Right. Right. Right. I'll get that for you. Okay. I [sighs] don't I thought you didn't have your ID. That's another lie that you told me. >> Really didn't think I hid it cuz I switched my bags. >> You got it. You're just full of them, huh? >> No. Seriously, I don't know. I have so many bags. >> I don't think you understand the severity of what's going on right now. >> I mean, I don't know what's going on. >> Okay. Can you tell me what's >> right now? You're being detained for felony investigation, which means it's uh prison time, right? Yeah. Felony. Felony. >> But I don't use her card to purchase anything. >> Cops keep asking her to explain, but she challenges every question. Her story keeps contradicting itself, and every new excuse cancels the last one. She tries to act polite and innocent, but every piece of evidence exposes her lies. The gap between what she's pretending and the truth keeps widening. >> Okay. >> So, how does this work? Um, going to jail >> most likely. Yeah. >> What is what does that >> uh So, I'm going to read you your rights in just a moment here and going to ask you more questions just like I told you before. um honestly goes above >> possession >> way better >> but it's up to you. You see how when you become uncooperative, >> like I simply asked you just tell me what happened. You lied, lied, lied. Eventually, you kept adding on to your story, yada yada yada. Then I simply asked you to just walk to my car. You wanted to kind of contest that, not be cooperative, and then see what happens. You got put in handcuffs and so a big spectacle of everybody looking at you throughout the mall cuz you're walking in handcuffs happens, right? So it's up to you. You know, your actions dictate of what goes on. You know what I mean? And don't I hope that you're here. Let me just come around there. I hate talking through the damn glass here. >> Hey, what's up, buddy? >> Hey, what's up, man? >> All right. So, like I was saying, right? So, obviously, first I come to you, right? very nicely, right? Ask you just questions of what happened, stuff like that. First you told me that you weren't in Louis Vuitton earlier and then you told me, okay, maybe you were there and then you told me um what you told me that you didn't make a purchase there. Then you finally came and said that you did make a purchase and then it changed to you, okay, you use your card and all that stuff, right? So, let me tell you this. I've been doing this for a long time, right? Over almost 10 years, right? So, it's not my first rodeo. It's not the biggest crime of the century, right? is still a felony crime, right? Obviously, I'm not there just because I just want to come over here, right? >> I obviously know what happens, right? Like I told you, there's cameras everywhere. Everything is log. So, I'm we're not I'm not stupid, dumb, or slow, right? >> I'm pretty good at what I do, >> right? So, I've already told you what you did cuz I saw it with my own eyes on camera, right? So, I'm not naive or stupid. So, please don't try to challenge my intelligence, right? Because I know what happened, right? You walked inside, you used you picked up the bag, you went to the little counter thing, you inserted a card into the little mobile chip thing, right? You told the lady that your name was Laura, yada yada yada. The card gets declined, right? Not stupid, right? Not crazy. You also went to Nordstrom, purchased things from Nordstrom for $1,15.88 to know the exact number, right? Cuz why? So, I already know, right? So, what I'm going to do, I'm just going to read you your rights, right? Obviously, we're trying to go, we're going to start over a little bit, right? Because when we go to court, we don't want camera footage to show you how many lies that you told throughout the thing, right? Because all, like I said, honestly, probably go the the better, you know, your better route, right? Um, so I'm going to read you your rights and we're just going to completely start over and I'm going to ask you questions again. She's being told about her rights in the legal process, but she stays confused and naive. Repeating lies and small excuses shows how unserious she is. Her behavior and statements are risky for legal stuff, and her defense just looks like a weak attempt at self-preservation. >> Hopefully, you'll just be honest with me this time. Like I said, I already know what happened, but it's up to you what you want to do. You already gave me a statement which was all lies, right? So, I'm going to ask you another I'm going to read you your rights, ask you again. And if you want to be honest, it's up to you. If you want to make a statement, it's up to you. But right now, what I got is a whole bunch of lies from all the way from you don't even have your ID, which is simple. I don't know why you would even lie about that. So, we'll start over. Okay, we'll start over. We're start over. Just we're going to forget the past. We're going to start over. Okay. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in the court of law. You have the right to consult with an attorney before you make a statement or answer any question and the right to have an attorney present during questioning. If you want an attorney but cannot afford to hire an attorney, one will be appointed to represent you before and during questioning free of charge. You may use any of these rights at any time before during questioning and you may stop the interview at any time. Do you understand these rights? >> Yes. >> Are you willing to answer questions or make a statement without an attorney being present? >> I'm sorry. >> You got to speak louder. I can't hear what you're saying. >> Yeah. Yeah. Has anyone threatened you, coerced you, or promised you anything to cause you to answer questions or make a statement? >> No. >> All right. So, again, we're going to start over. Okay. You went into Louis Vuitton earlier today, I think, at 3:35. Let me get my notepad. >> All right. All right. So, we'll start at the Louis Vuitton incident. Okay. So, you went into Louis Vuitton at 3 around 3:30. Okay. You walked inside, you looked at a bag, you selected one or whatever with the uh store clerk there. Y'all go over to the little small little desk thing, right? You insert. What did you do next? >> Okay. When was the last time you were arrested? >> Like last year, I think. >> For what? >> It was in Vegas. um for trespassing at casino. >> Were you drunk? >> No. No. They just they stereotype girls a lot in Vegas for certain things. So, I got arrested once for that and then I went back to buy pizza and I was there for 5 minutes and then they're like, "Oh, you're trespass." And then they freaking arrested me. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Well, thank you for being honest. Uh give me a second. Okay. Let me figure out I got to look at your criminal history and all that stuff and then we'll go from there. >> Reminds me go ahead. >> Just let you know I'm my name is Michael. >> Now she's facing past lies and present facts. She tries to avoid criticism by bringing up previous arrests, but the cops show clear proof every time. Ironically, she tries to convince everyone she's innocent, but just ends up trapping herself more. And the truth kills all her drama. here since all this has gone down. Um, as a mall representative, we're going to transfer you from the mall for a year starting today. Um, so if we come back again? >> Yeah, I'm not. >> Okay. I just I had to just tell you that. >> Yeah, sorry. >> Okay. All right. Thank you. Appreciate it. >> Yeah. I'll get her picture off her ID. >> Yes. Um, >> ladies, I just need to get uh actually Hey, >> I have five dogs at home and they're alone. >> Do you have someone that can go over there? >> We'll figure it out. One second. report. >> Uh yeah, my report. >> Oh yeah. Yeah, you too, buddy. Thank you. Thank you, sir. >> All righty. So, here's the case number. Okay. That way you give to your bank. I just sent you a text message to your phone. Um, if you could check that what I just need from you right quick. If you can just screenshot the transaction, you know, from uh Nordstrom and do you have those text messages like the do they send you like text messages saying that it was being used at uh Louis Vuitton? >> It was a notification >> through like through the app. >> Through the app. They're saying >> like sometimes the specific Yeah. So, she did uh kind of admit that she did find it in the parking lot of North. Are you parked over there? >> She Okay. I was curious. and you or did you already lock the card and everything like that? Okay. >> So, you're going to have to uh get another card obviously cuz uh she said she threw it. >> Oh, she said >> Yeah. So, no telling her someone else picked it up. So she she said once it didn't work anyway at Louis Vuitton she threw it down on the ground somewhere. >> Her careless attitude made things worse. She loses her card and throws it on the ground putting others at risk. Police and mall staff warn her about caution and legal stuff. But her reckless, careless attitude makes her defense even weaker. >> Um so I'm sure someone else has already picked it up. So just make sure it's locked or closed completely closed now and you're not going to be able to use it. if you weren't able to find it, whatever. Just uh just a screenshot of that Nordstrom and then uh so I just sent you a link there. Just upload that to that um >> Yep. So, yep. Just upload that for me there and then um Yep. You're all set. You have any questions for me? All right. I hate this happened to you, but I'm glad we were able to quickly, >> you know, get on it. They were very unlucky because when I saw that I was literally walking to the store >> and I purchased their so I know they have a lot of security and I'm like >> they have so I just went running >> like they have to they have to be there. >> Right. Right. >> I'll try and find that for you. >> Yep. If if you are able to then just you know same thing you can just click that link again and and upload it again. >> What's going to happen to her? She's going to jail. >> Oh yeah. Yeah. She's going to go to jail. Yeah. Especially if that's >> Is that a bad crime? >> It's a felony crime. So, yes, it is uh >> it's doesn't go by the amount that they try to >> Yeah. So, well, there's a couple things. So, one, it's a felony theft, right? Cuz $1,000 of theft that she was actually able to deprive you with, that is a, you know, a felony crime. Um, so over $720 or whatever it is now, that is a felony. And obviously the thousand is over that. So that and then there's another charge with uh unlawful use of a stolen credit card, right? So that's another crime. So we won't be it's it's kind of I don't know. I'll try to see if we can charge her with the the felony or the the theft at Louis Vuitton, but I don't know. I don't know if it'll stick because um >> it didn't go through. But we still have that charge where the the unlawful use of the you know stolen part. So I mean that's still you know the crime. So, um, >> yeah, >> I don't know if it'll go through or not, but we'll see. But yeah, she is, you know, the fing crime girl. She is, uh, you know, going through on that. So, >> all right. >> Yeah. All right. Thank you guys. >> No problem. >> All right. Have a good day. >> Uh, so I closed that down. Uh, well, we're kind of shouldn't close it, close it, but we're kind of restructuring. So, a doctor, he has like a bunch of med spas and stuff like that. similar thing. Um, so he's took over like the office part right now and then um cuz I bought two houses in Houston and we're doing like uh >> um like Airbnbs out of it. So we were we making some good money there. >> So it is hard for me to manage that and that by myself because you know the Ivy thing I was doing by myself. Yeah. >> So, um I'm going to what I'm going to do is try to link up with someone else or whatever and do it mobile, you know, like you know, >> just go to people's houses, right? And it comes down on overhead pickle ball courts and old people with in circles all day long. >> Reality hits harder now. She lied at first to defend herself, but police and records confirm every lie. Her actions don't just create legal trouble. They show ongoing recklessness and selfishness in her behavior. >> Yeah. So, we're uh, you know, try to do it that way and, >> you know, just try to re reo it, you know. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Cuz right now is, you know, trying to my main focus is the the Airbnb stuff. I want to keep buying more property and stuff like that. And eventually I want to get uh >> like some duplexes like those are becoming real popular. You know, those duplexes um >> you know, multi-units or whatever. Um, >> yeah, I'm leaving. >> Charge a ton of uh You leaving here. >> Uhoh. >> Whatever. >> You can you can you can leave when I'm leaving. I'll leave. Yeah, that's how it work. That's how it works. >> Yeah, we made a promise. >> Yeah. around. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Using around and goes to Louis Vuitton, you know, in Nordstrom F first uh buys like $1,000 pairs of shoes and then she goes to uh Louis Vuitton and tries to purchase like a $3,000 bag. Um and then um you know, it sent like the fraud alert to the to the the lady who um whatever. And then she she didn't notice that she um she didn't even notice that she she lost the card yet, you know, until she got that fraudulent use or whatever. And then she's like, "Oh [ __ ] you know, my car's missing." So, she runs over to Louis Vuitton. And then sure enough, the girl, she's still there. Um yeah, well, she she actually leaves the store, but comes back with her, I guess, her sugar daddy or whatever. And then um uh and then has him buy the bag, but when I show up, you know, she was still inside, whatever. They were making that purchase for the other one. So, and then, you know, I questioned her and she admitted to it, but at first she was like completely denying and, you know, making up lies and all that. But anyway, so I just charged her with uh she denied. So, what she did, she said she whenever it didn't work the second time, you know, for Louis Vuitton, she said she just threw it down in the on the ground somewhere so somebody else picked it up cuz it wasn't there at war. So, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I wish she did cuz charge her with a possession. >> Yeah. Right. Right. Right. And then I was just telling her like what do you like, you know, she had her sugar daddy with her that we just went in there and purchased the bag for three, you know, dropped $3,000 like Right. Right. Right. Right. So, uh I think they sent someone. Uh yeah, I know y'all didn't have a female. We needed a female divorce, but she just has like a little skinny dress on. So, I just make sure he uh has a booking deputy come out before or whatever just to make sure. So, >> Yep. Yep. Yep. Yep. So, All right. Bye. All right. Someone's on the way to get her. And then I'll go check on the >> The situation shows that she ignored all legal limits. She used the card, lied, and had someone else buy stuff. Every step shows her carelessness and lack of cooperation. Even with professional cops and staff, her attitude shows she doesn't take legal or moral responsibility seriously. >> All right. You want to call? You got to >> Is there any way you could take this off or loosen up a little bit maybe? >> Nope. Nope. Nope. Nope. >> Okay. How do I do this? >> You're going to kind of swing your arms out or whatever. I want to call him and my mom after. Okay. >> Say it again. >> Can I call him and my mom after? >> Yeah. Go ahead. >> You're going to have to put it on speaker. Okay. What the [ __ ] >> Babe, I'm sorry you're on speaker right now. I'm really sorry for all of this. I I didn't [ __ ] know this is going to happen or else I would have never did this. >> I'm not your call. >> What? >> I'm not your one phone call. >> What do you mean? >> I said it clear. What do you mean, babe? You can't call me. >> No. >> Are you serious? >> Yeah, I'm going home. >> What about everything? >> Tell you, man. It's [ __ ] up. I mean, you're you're running around stealing [ __ ] with credit cards. >> I didn't mean to. I just found it and I It was a stupid decision. >> Yep, it was. >> They're taking me to [ __ ] jail. I don't know how I can help you. >> You can't help me bail me out tomorrow. >> No. >> Seriously? >> Yeah. Call your dad. >> They can't help me, babe. >> You have to. It's a family issue. >> They don't have it to help me. >> You got to deal with it. >> What do you mean? >> I said it clear. >> So, it's just [ __ ] me. >> You did a really stupid thing. I can't have that in my life. I'm not that. So, >> I'll make a phone call right quick and uh here while I get you her stuff while she's doing that. >> Sori should be uh all done. >> You want to look through that right quick? That's her little purse. And then, um >> yeah, that's it. Get her out. I know y'all don't have no females. She just has like a little tight dress on. When you get the booking, just make sure they uh >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I got off the phone if you Yeah. You can call it if she wants to come out here or you can uh wait till you get to the jail or whatever, but it's up to you. >> Up to you. >> Had a bad decision day. I was your ticket. Goodbye. >> You're hanging up on me, babes. Seriously. Are you all done? >> I got to call my mom. What is this? >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. You're not going to be able to take that, so we'll throw that away. Okay. >> Her reckless, irresponsible behavior is clear here. She tries to tell friends about the situation, but expects impossible help. Her conversations with police shows zero remorse and a casual attitude, which increases her legal risk. Hi, >> Mom. >> Yeah. >> All right. Don't freak out, okay? But I got arrested. They're taking me to jail. >> What? >> What? >> Why? >> You're [ __ ] stealing the card. I'm going to I'm going to need you to bail me out tomorrow. I'll give you the money, but I won't know anything until tomorrow. I guess >> I'm just letting you know. I just Can you watch the dog obviously for me, please? >> Yes. >> So, what are you when are you going to tell my people here? >> Just tell them I'm sleeping over or something. What jail am I going to? >> Orient road Jail. >> What is it? >> Orient. O R I E N T. >> Orient road. >> Yep. >> Orient road Jail. >> Where is that? >> Hillsboro County. >> Hillsboro County. Is it over here close to here? >> No, it's a little way. >> Where? How far? >> How far? >> Yeah. >> It's a good 20-minut ride, 30 minute drive. >> And you're in Tampa? Yep. Kind. Yep. >> It's like 20 minutes away from the mall. >> And uh can somebody call me and text me this information? >> No. >> So it's the only only jail in Tampa. She >> It's the only jail in Tampa. It's Orient Road. O R I E N T. >> Can you just text it to me? But >> I can't I can't text. I'm in handcuffs right now. This is my only road. Okay. All right. >> All right. I'll give you the money tomorrow. Obviously, just I need your bill now. >> All right. Bye. >> All right. Yeah, you're close. I'll switch right. >> All right. Turn that way. >> Our media screen, black tank top, black jeans. You have burning. >> Can I stretch my wrist? All right. Give me up. Okay. >> Put your wrist back. How do you want them? You want them together or how's comfortable for you? >> What are my options? >> You can put them like you're praying like together. Is that more comfortable? >> Not really. >> Yeah. >> Tighter. Oh. 177 phone Cool. All right. Uh, do me a favor. Step out. You're going to go with this officer here. So, just listen to what he needs from you. You're in his hands. >> We're going to walk this unit back here. We're going to go to the passenger side rear seat. Just hang on a sec. Grab your purse. All right. >> All right. All right, just turn around and kind of scoot back in nice and easy and sit tight. We're going to have it off. You might There you go. >> She totally ignores how serious her actions are. Constant calls and talking to prove herself while cops and security stay professional and patient. Her non-ooperation and rush just hurt her more. >> All right, sit tight for a second. >> All right, man. Doing it big, man. >> Hey, man. Slowly but surely. I'm getting [clears throat] there. I'm getting there. You still in uh three? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. over there. >> So when you do this, you do the whole mall or just a store like >> Yeah. So yeah. So yeah, international uh like the actual, you know, international whatever they have like Friday, Saturday, Sunday. It's a whole the whole mall. Every once in a while they have like Nean Marcus will put up something and it's just for >> Nean Marie >> or Nordstrom, you know, same thing. Well, Renaissance, you know, for the I think they probably have a couple offices tonight for the Renaissance because, you know, the uh the Bucks players, >> but they're only for the Bucks, you know. So, they're not, you know, like >> one time a couple months ago, there was like a single seven that was in the room. Turned out not to be a single seven, but >> it was on like a different floor, but they can't, you know, they try to call them, but they can't leave cuz they're doing different parts of the Bucks players, >> you know. So nowhere they have like the fourth floor was like all rented out or whatever for the bucks you know they can't leave you deal with that bring to bring this one back. >> Thanks for coming. >> Yes sir J. >> Nice to meet >> good to meet you. Good to meet you. >> Yeah here you know they believe they you know they got good cameras so >> Oh yeah. Yeah tags. They get the tag out they exit every exit. Now, does each store have their own? Cuz the only one I've been to is down underneath to where they the part I guess it's Cheese Tank Factory where you go up underneath the mall and they got the um security office down there. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Matter of fact, it was that lady right there that helped me that night. >> Well, this working, you know, it ain't too bad here. The only places that really prosecute is Nean Marcus, Nordstrom. That's about it. You know, Louis, of course, Louis Vuitton, you know, stuff like that. They will sometimes. >> Sometimes. >> Yeah. >> But other than that, nobody ever wants to prosecute. >> They just want to file a report or whatever. >> Sometimes they don't even do that. Thankfully, you know, before they they may call this small security. >> We kind of got that under control now. you know, instead of calling us and then they try to report it and it's like now we got to take it reporting and now I don't even want to do nothing. >> 100%. Yeah. >> I tell them, okay, before y'all even report it, tell me nothing. Y'all even want anybody don't even want to do anything first of all, >> right? >> You know, most of them they don't even know what they took, you know, cuz they just grab [ __ ] and go. People don't get, man, this ain't the day and age for that with cameras and notifications and >> Yeah. Yeah. >> They still try it though. >> Yeah. Just telling them like it's crazy cuz you know >> now the efficiency of legal systems and security stands out. Surveillance in stores, cameras, and instant alerts stopped the theft. However, her mistakes and careless behavior, professional cops and security minimized losses and kept the legal process clear. What time you work till? >> Uh, till 9. >> Oh, you ain't got much, bro. >> I'm ready to go. All right. Hey, this week. So, I got 32 hours of off duty and then yesterday I did some this UC operation for a while over that was overtime. So, I'm pulling in 90 something hours this week. >> Check going to look great. >> Got the two holidays coming up. >> Yeah. Yeah. So, I'm I'm tired. I'm ready for I got Monday off. Hard work, the buck game. What you still driving that old car for? Got a little antenna on it. That's crazy. >> Yeah, right. I guess. I guess Oh my goodness. How late you here? >> 29. >> Nine. Why you look tired already? >> I was just telling him this week I got like I did uh I got 32 hours of off duty this week. >> What you trying to buy a house? >> And then yesterday I did a whole bunch of time. I did a UC I think yesterday that was overtime. So I'm pushing 90 something hours. >> So I'm tired and I got Monday off. That's good. And then you know back to I haven't got a haircut. Nothing looking rough. >> I know. You know, you know you slicking do >> right. >> He trying to work with his hair edged up. >> Right. I got to got to >> cut. God's here. >> So, yeah, but you can't leave a little page. So, you going to be working all day. >> Yeah, that's I got to work, you know, for the the holiday. But I'm going to be off I'm not working nothing December. >> Oh, >> yeah. You know, I'm not working all off duty. I'm going be traveling and [ __ ] So, >> anywhere different that you have been? >> No. Back home? >> Yeah, I'm going to Yeah. So, I'm going to Atlanta for a few days and going from Atlanta to Houston for Christmas. Okay. and then stay out there for, you know, for home for Christmas for the family. >> Yeah, I normally go, but I normally go I normally go uh >> Yeah, go there and then I go to I'm going to Chicago afterwards. I always do that, too. So, >> yeah. Yeah, >> my hands are wet like like my hands are actually wet and I'm dripping wet. >> So, I can't I can't get a glove off. >> Her careless moves and impulsive choices made things harder for herself. She's unaware of her actions and the risks around her. Meanwhile, cops and security worked professionally, focused on preventing losses and keeping things organized. >> So, no, that's me.
