You'll see the address, you know, up here. But >> tell me why you didn't have your hunting license with your permit? >> I didn't know if if it's private land. I didn't think we had to. >> It was private land. You didn't think you had to? >> Mhm. >> You hunt in Georgia? >> Yes, sir. >> You do? You buy your hunting license? >> Uh, yes. If I hunt public, but on private we don't. You don't have to have it on private property. >> Okay. All right. But Dustin's the one took you home. >> Yeah. >> Now, you talking about that being thieves for leaving tomorrow. >> I get that. >> This is this is all for the to the investigating officer. >> Okay. >> I'll be honest with you. I drove them over there. >> And this is your truck? >> It is. >> Okay. You took this boy and another boy. >> Yeah. Jason. >> Okay. Why didn't you say that? I did. >> You said who? Who did you take? What' you say? >> You said Jason. >> Joey. Joey. You didn't say Jason. >> Oh, well, I'm sorry. >> Jason. Where's Jason? Come here, buddy. >> Who did Dusty take? >> Uh, that Charles guy. >> Okay. Well, he said he was with Charles and >> he said they drove up together. Him and Charles drove up. >> But you But Dusty took Charles. >> Yes. >> Okay. How much are you paying Dusty? >> I don't guess I'm paying Dusty at all. You come over and help me. These boys, they've never turkey hunted before. >> You're not paying Dye. They are. Okay. >> I don't even know if they are. I mean, unless they just give >> How much are you getting out of this group? >> They 2500 bucks. >> 2500 to for them to come and hunt with you for how many days? >> Three. >> Three days. >> Yeah. >> And it's all with a guide. >> Well, yeah. Just buddies money hunt. Help children hunt. >> He said he don't even know you. So, don't don't lie to me. I >> No, no, no, no, no. I'm not lying to you. I'm just saying as far as your guided turkey hunts. >> Yeah. Yeah, we're we're establishing that. >> Yeah. I mean, they come pay to come up here to hunt. >> They pay to come up here and you take them out and and call for them and hunt with them and >> Right. They they guys do. >> Are you putting the corn out or is another guy doing that? >> Well, I put Well, like my deer feeder up there. >> Mhm. >> I mean, I put the corn out there. >> Who put the corn out down here? And who put the corn out over here? >> Where at and where at? >> On the roads in the back. >> Oh, that's why I brought my feeder back. It leaked all the way back here. all the way back. >> You know, you can't hunt turkeys where you got corn at, >> right? >> Okay. All right. So, we got a problem there. >> Well, yeah, they were over there. That's a fact. >> All right. As long as we got everything straight. >> Now, these boys, these boys, he wouldn't we would me and Joey and him would >> Anybody hunt at the feeder this morning? >> No. >> Okay. All right. But we still got a problem. Then you may have to eat that. But I will. >> And I'll let you. It's up to you. But just be cool. >> Hey. Hey. Trust me. I want >> Who did you go with? >> Joey. >> And who? >> That's it. >> Who's your guide? No, I mean he I drove him over there and he them two went over and hunted. >> You drove He drove you over there. >> Yeah. >> And then he come back and got you. >> Yeah. >> No, he I already know he was with you. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right. Well, don't listen. It's easy, dude. Okay. We're easy to get along with. >> But I get started getting lied to, my blood pressure goes up, and I start hammering people. >> Hey, we try to hide those. >> All right. So, you took them to Yeah. >> and guided them this morning. I took them over there over on >> where's the little dump over here off the out proudly Ron Laam called me yesterday. He has about 220 acres over there and we were talking and he said he said if you want to go over a turkey hunt on mine he lives in Michigan. He said you can go over there. We ain't been hearing nothing over here and uh I said well we right over there and I'll let y'all out and see if you can see anything or hear anything down there. So that >> so I know there's no corn over there. So, y'all went in together and paid him or going to pay him or if you >> He's just my cousin. He's just my friend. >> Yeah. >> Okay. Where's your hunting license? >> I I don't have any. >> You didn't buy him either? >> Uhuh. >> Where's your phone at? >> Uh, I don't know. >> Truck, I believe. >> Where's your Did you kill a bird? >> No, sir. >> Nobody killed anything. >> Who? Somebody shot a little bit ago. Them other guy. >> I Well, no, I don't think it was even them. I think uh Roger and Le shot. I mean, we don't know who shot. We wait a minute. I'm lying to you. I think old boy back there, Charlie. I think he shot it. Didn't hit a bird. >> Where are these two guys going? I >> now you said you were going to cooperate with me. >> Yep. >> I asked you to stay right there on your tailgate. >> I thought he over there ching with him coming. I don't like that. You know what I'm saying? Hey, >> if you look at that bag, that shit's fermented and grown. Well, >> yeah. Yeah, I see that. >> I just It's been on there since deer season. >> That bag has >> Yeah. >> What about all the corn in your truck? >> I just went and got that over at the saps >> today. >> Uh two days ago >> for what? >> They had some left over and he called me and asked me want to do I want any corn. I said, "We had it spilled over in the back of my truck." >> Okay. What was you going to do with it? >> Well, I don't put it in my building tool. >> That >> Well, once I cleaned it all back out. >> Yeah. Okay. Well, you know, you can't feed from March one to August one. Period. >> Really? >> It's been that way forever. >> I just moved here. >> But you can't turkey hunt where you're feeding, >> right? I knew you can't hunt over bait. >> You can't hunt over bait. Okay. >> So, but I mean, >> I didn't send any bait over bait. And I didn't see nobody on that big ridge. I sent them boys went back over there very back part corner of the property over there on the green field. These boys do. Okay. There's a green field right there. That's where they were hunting. Who's it? Who's they? Charles and Dustin. >> Charles and Dusty. >> Yeah. Charles is the name. Yeah. Charles. >> Okay. >> All right. >> If there's corn over there, somebody else put that out. >> All right. [laughter] >> There's a big oak tree. It's got a deer feeder on it, but there's not nothing in here. >> All right. Where did you take these boys? Somewhere else. >> Yeah, we were back over. Uh, >> let's see that there. >> Who's out there? Who's still out there? Uh Tim and Colby his son. >> They just left from here. >> Yeah, they just went down that road out here. That little field. >> So where's your ID? Okay. Now, here's here's what I'm going to tell y'all. We're going to work with you. All right. We don't plan on taking anybody to jail or anything like that. Everybody's going to be cooperative. Unless you tell me you're not coming back to court, >> then we might have a problem. >> No, do whatever. >> Maybe tell us. >> We got We got tickets for ride. Obviously without a license. Come on. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> Okay. Um but here's what I'm going to tell you. You got to remember what you told me. All right. Cuz if you lied to me. >> Yeah. >> I get it off my body cam. And then when I get ready to I'm going to officially ask you a question here in a little bit so we can make notes and we get make sure we got everybody straight. Yeah. >> Cuz I don't want to do something unfair to you. I can assure you everybody's going to pay their fine. >> You better tell me the same thing you told me the second time. First time. You better tell me the same. >> Correct. >> Okay. Same goes for you cuz you got a lot more riding on it than anybody. >> Yeah. >> You got your phone on you, Dusty? >> Yep. >> Let me see it. Possibility that's going to be four or C's at the moment. I don't know what we're going to do yet. Okay. But let's take a walk. Let's talk. >> Was you hunting this morning, Dusty? >> A gun? Yeah. You wasn't packing a gun, but I'd assume you probably got a you probably got a license or permit. Okay. Okay. I got you. Uh, let's walk. Uh, so you took that individual I just walked up the hill with, correct? >> Okay. Where did you take him? >> That way. >> That way. kind of if you go up here and take it take a right and go all the way down, take a left, [clears throat] there's a big pit down there. >> Yeah. >> And then there's a big green field and you can look across the green field and you can see those other guys that own a hunting place. >> Okay. >> In that field there. >> Okay. Well, I'm going tell you straight up, the property's baited, okay? And I'm pretty sure you probably have knowledge of it. >> I don't I don't This is my first time being on here. Tim just asked if I would take these guys. That's all I know. >> Yeah. >> I do not know about bait. >> Tim asked you to take these guys. >> That's right. >> He pay you any money? >> No, not >> I killed my two birds first weekend. >> You did? >> And I I just He's just a friend of the family that we just got to know. >> Yeah. And you just take these guys willy-nilly not knowing them. >> Yes, sir. like that. >> I did. I come over here. >> Is there any tradeoffs? What's going on? I mean, just just a just a favor. >> I just enjoy going. >> Yeah. >> No, it wasn't even money or nothing. I mean, I just >> Okay. [clears throat] Like I said, there's a lot of >> money I can go with. I like I just like to go. >> Okay. >> Anything that you're not being honest with me about, like I said, that can be brought forth through phone records. >> Oh, yeah. text messages, whatever. It makes you look guilty. Just remember that. >> Oh, yeah. You're good on mine. >> Okay. All right. >> Just making sure cuz So, you ain't been paid no by nobody. >> And I don't know anything about this property. He asked me if if I would take these guys. >> Yeah. >> And I said, "Yes, I' I'd love to go, you know, pedal around." >> Mhm. >> So, I come out here and got in a truck with him Thursday. >> Who's them? >> Tim. >> Tim. >> And he showed me where to go. >> This first time on your on this property? >> That's the first time. I've never been on there since before that at all. >> Okay. >> All right. >> Well, let me tell you about I come and dropped a boat off for my stepdad. >> It's the only other time. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Are there any more hunters out there right now? >> Yeah, >> they are. >> Yeah. Now, there's two more that went that way this morning. >> Are they be Is there somebody you know with them or are they hunting by themselves? >> By themselves. Father and son. A father and a son from where? >> I'm assuming Georgia. That's where all these guys are from. >> Okay. >> I've never met any of these guys before in my life till this morning. >> Got your license on you? >> Hey 1012 with a few of them, but there's two more out there. father and a son that was over there beside where you were that walked back there. That's that's who passed you. Do you have any recollection as far as if they're hunting out of a blind or if they're just burying it? >> I think they're on foot just going. I don't think there's any blinds out here, but I've seen >> All right, we're just >> Well, here comes >> Y'all walk past. Y'all walk past and walk the other way. Five times. How old was where both of them? >> Boy, he look maybe >> young young season. No, he's probably in his teens. >> In his teens, >> I would think. Yeah. >> Okay. He might even be a little older than that. >> All right. >> Not much older, though. >> All right. Let's walk on back over here. There's two guns in here. Whose gun's that one right there? >> That little 22. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. >> How about the gun laying in the center tons over there? >> This one? >> That's yours, too? >> Yeah. >> That you didn't take out this morning? >> Okay. >> Come here, Tim. >> Yes, sir. >> That should be >> old boy back here with his kids. I need you to get a hold of that one. >> I'll have to get Joey to get him cuz I don't even know. >> Who's Roger? >> My neighbor. >> Okay. Right. from another one who said he seen three people on property asked me if you have anybody down here hunting. I said I only have three people. I got father and son that I told not to go down in there. >> Well, I think my guy's got over on here. >> That's what he said. He He said, "Yeah, >> he got him on sale." >> Okay. >> I didn't know I >> You can just I don't care what you tell him. >> I don't care what you tell him. >> Oh, well, come up here. Ain't no problem there. >> Yeah. Okay. Um >> I'm waiting on them. We all walked in this morning. >> Oh, dear God. All right. So, I've got a ride coming if he can get in the gate. Dude, what's the >> gate's open? What's the gate open? >> I I told him not to cut it until I got a hold of him or not to break in. You know what I'm saying? >> Right. No, no. Always pull the pin out and open it if you need to. >> Okay. So, my main concern is your operation here. Okay. >> Well, I don't really have an operation. >> You're guiding turkey hunts. You've been guiding deer hunts >> and you don't have a guides license, >> right? >> You have to have one of those. >> I found that out. I didn't realize that to take money to take somebody hunting or take them and drop them off or put a >> you they're paying you to stay here and hunt. >> That's you got to have a guy's license especially taking them out. >> I'm going to get one of >> that's taking people for you. >> Has to be licensed. >> Has to be licensed. >> Yeah. I just read that here. I just got the copy of the thing. This is our first year of even doing any of this. >> I know this boy over here. Known him for a long time. >> Oh yeah. >> I'm surprised that he's here. Um, but if he lies to us, I will take him to jail >> cuz he knows better. >> Well, I mean, I thought we was pretty straight up. >> Are you paying him? >> I'm not paying I nothing. He just volunteer. We had a fish fry over there and he he goes >> talking loud now. >> He said he goes, "If uh he goes, if you need me to take one of them boys for you, I'll take one of them cuz he goes, you know, he I can call because I'm like I said, this is our first time. I've had this guy these guys here and and I I know Joey from Georgia and I had another boy come in from uh Tennessee hunted one morning and uh then Ethan Ricker come over here and I mean he didn't pay he's just a friend of mine. He come over here and hunt and killed him a turkey and that's one turkey we even shot. >> Okay. So who's the boy and girl that the the guy that brought his little girl? >> Freddy. He's from Massville. He's our friends. >> Okay. All right. Where did they kill their brother? They didn't kill the bird. They missed. She missed it. >> She missed the bird. >> Yeah, I got video. You can watch it on video. >> Yeah. Now, where was that at? >> That was uh in that green field back yonder. >> Where did them other boys were hunting this morning? That was the youth weekend. They were back there. >> All right. Make sure you understand me. Okay. I'm not trying to get everybody else in trouble. I'm I'm My main concern is you. Okay. >> I'm after you. All right. >> Don't be after me. >> Well, that sounds bad. I am. >> I know what you're saying. It's your job. I don't understand. We got to protect the resources, right? Best way we can. And when people start making money off >> the resources, bad things start happening. >> Let me just tell you right now, ain't no money being made here. >> These guys buy No, I guarantee you who ain't making any money is fish and wildlife, right? >> Nobody's buying licenses. Are you telling them that? >> No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. I mean, I did not tell them that at all. But unfortunately, uh, that was one of my slip ups there. I should have checked all that. >> Yeah. See, if you had a guy's license, you'd know to do that. >> Well, I [clears throat] know to do that regardless. >> Yeah. >> I'm smarter than that usually. But they come in here late last night and we got up early and left this morning. >> Keep in mind, keep in mind I've got your phone. >> Yeah. >> Sees the cameras that's on the we found. >> Um when you take a video or a picture, metadata on there shows exactly to the GPS point where you were. >> Absolutely. >> Just keep that in mind. >> Oh yeah. I know. Trust me, I'm not lying to you about nothing. >> But here here's I don't that green field. I'd have to measure it. There is no measurement on laws about hunting over bait. You can't hunt turkeys that are influenced by bait, >> right? Within here >> pretty much. No, has nothing to do with that >> really. >> If we can articulate the turkeys are coming and going from bait, then they're baited. So the way it's spread out, even though you got a big farm, it's looking to me like this whole farm's baited. I see that >> you got it there, there, and up here, and wherever else. I don't know. We've got it some more documented. Um, there's more than just me working on this. >> Get the driver's license. >> So, you know, move right here. >> It appears. Yeah, it is. It It appears to me that this is my call is It appears that the whole farm is abated. >> Okay. Well, I mean, it's I mean, that was not the intention. >> Am I going to go after Freddy and his daughter? No, >> no. I don't want to mess that up. I don't want to run that little girl. >> Yeah. Yeah. Her >> attitude about she's tore up about it now. >> But what would be fair is that you take the brunt of that because you took them hunting. And did you How much did they pay you? >> They didn't pay me. There's our friends. Yeah. And she she wanted to hunt and I said, "Well, y'all come over here and hunt. You want to >> How many guided hunts have you took in this year?" >> Two. >> Okay. Who was it? >> That was a boy had all his Luke Luke up out of Tennessee. He come up and hunt one day. >> When was that? >> Uh Tuesday, last Tuesday, I think. >> I think that was his name. Hello. Maybe been What's the date? Saturday. >> Um it may have been Monday. You can look on my phone. See what text me. Okay. >> How much did he pay? About 200 bucks. >> Where you from, bro? >> I live in Chadzsworth now. Georgia. >> Chapssworth. Chadzsworth just south of Chattanooga. >> I got you. I got you. I got you. Y'all two together. >> Yeah, he's one of my customers. They're customers out there. >> Hey, Charles, you can come over here, buddy. And the father and son that's out there. Y'all uh relation. Any relation there? >> Customers. >> Customers. >> Yeah. >> Trying to make him a customer. >> Trying to make him a customer. >> A little entertaining coming out here. Turkey hunt. >> Yeah. >> You got to have your license and permit, man. >> That's a great point. Great point. You got to check out the log. >> I I ain't going to disre this might be a little repetitive. Okay. But we want to make sure we got all our eyes dotted and te's cross. Of course, you see all the bait everywhere. Uh >> yeah. Father and son out there. >> Uh not yet. I don't I tell you >> they'll I mean they they'll be rolling in here soon. >> Yeah. If they shot they might have gotten one or something. So Tim, you paid him to hunt this property. >> Tim, this Tim? Yes, >> you did. How much you pay? >> I think it was $2,500 for three nights. Two nights. >> $2,500 for >> leaving Sunday >> for three nights. >> We got here last night. >> Last night. $2,500. >> For three [clears throat] nights, right? >> Correct. >> All right. Charles, that's with you. >> Yeah. >> Is that included his >> class for all four of them? That's for all four. That's for all four. One, two, three, four. Okay. That's for all four. So 25 >> was like 725 per person for the week. Yeah. >> Okay. Okay. All right. So Tim is the one that's accepting the funds. >> Mhm. >> On that. >> Okay. Okay. All right. Well, I appreciate the honesty, man. Like I said, this this thing should should move pretty >> sure >> uh smoothly. Uh but >> you're not supposed to accept phones to hunt out here. Is that >> Well, I mean, it depends on if you got a guy's license or not. >> Okay. Well, [laughter] that makes sense. And if you're not baiting the property, >> so sure, >> you know, can't be doing that. >> I get them. I get them. >> Turkeys are mindless, you know, creatures, so they're going to go to wherever food's at, right? >> So, but u do what you got to do. I get them. >> Yeah, we'll get we'll get y'all taken care of. Has anybody collected your driver's license yet? >> I think that's talking to me first. Got it. >> Okay. All right. Good deal. >> Appreciate it. >> Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. Y'all are good. Y'all are good. Gate is open. That's what he said. I done got it taken care of. >> Yeah, it's open. >> Done got it. >> Um, >> we don't need key. We just punch a code in the battery. >> Who was it? What about opening weekend? >> Uh, I wouldn't hear him. I was down in Georgia at my son's baby shower. >> Okay. >> Did anybody else take anybody? >> Nope. >> That's right. >> Okay. >> I mean, that's the only >> You said something about Roric, boy. Who Who did he take? >> He just come over here and hunted. He's just a buddy of mine. >> He didn't take anybody hunting? >> Nope. >> At all? >> Nope. And if he did, I didn't know it. I mean, I don't think he did. >> Where'd he kill his bird at? >> Uh, where did Ethan tell me he killed his bird at? Uh, >> at the very there, his grandpa's farm joins me on the other side of the >> And it's down there by the >> down there close to where that pontoon boats at. >> Back here. No, there ain't no pontoon boat back here. That's back there. >> Well, yeah. >> No, back toward P Creek and the road. >> Okay. All right. Well, >> they were right on the edge of his grandpa's and mine. I ain't going to swear. He said, "Don't mind mine or his." They asked me, "Could he hunt over here if you know if he had any birds?" I said, "Yeah, go ahead." >> Are these your um track tactic cams or whatever they are up through here? >> Yes. >> Okay. That goes to your phone. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> Nobody anybody else got to pass one to it? >> Not that I know of. >> I mean, nobody else can see your pictures but you. >> Yeah. >> You said he killed his bird like the first week or sometimes. Yeah. Sometime first week. >> But he has not doubted for you. >> No. >> No. >> Okay. >> Remember that. >> Remember what you're telling me. I am. >> How you know we ain't done talking to him at his house? >> They I'm not. But I'm just saying I'm just thinking my >> I'm just telling you. >> Did he ever take anybody? >> You know what? I I'm I might be lying to you just a hair. >> I think you are. >> Well, no. He I think he brought his little brother or somebody during the week we were gone. He might have brought his brother over here, but I mean he ain't >> Did Luke kill a bird? >> No. >> Right. >> No, he drove all the way up here and had to go back and take a deal. >> So, who's killed the birds? >> Ethan. >> Uh-huh. >> You said there's two birds killed off the property. You said there ain't been but two killed. >> Two people have two He shot at one this morning. Who's he? >> Charles. >> The one that's still up. The one right here. >> Charles, the one that uh went with Dusty. Okay. He shot at one this morning. He shot at one. And uh the boy, the uh Ethan's the only person who's killed a bird. He missed one and he shot one. >> Okay. What's the Do you have your phone on a passcode? >> How much money have you took in this season turkey season? >> $2,700. >> $2,700. >> 25 from them and two from that boy. You haven't took money from anybody else? Nope. >> How much did you make during deer season? >> Make >> How much money did you bring in? I'm saying you didn't make nothing. You all in expenses, right? >> Yeah. Everything. >> I get that. But how much money did you bring in? >> 30 grand the whole uh Let me think about this for a second. Four boys and David Robinson. Uh $12,000. >> That's in guide fees. >> That's just in Yeah, they just >> they come in, stay, hunt. You take them out, put them in the blind, whatever. Show them where the stands are. >> Show them where the stands are and they just hunt. >> Yeah. Okay. >> I misconception. I thought I could just short-term lease it to people, but that doesn't count. Don't count like especially like this morning. This is definitely not short-term leasing. This is Oh, no. This is guiding 101. >> Yeah, that boy. They didn't ask me cuz they >> Nobody wants to use the G word, but you're guiding, >> right? Well, I mean, yeah, I agree with that. I agree with that. I mean, I am. >> Okay. All right. >> Hang tight right here. I got to talk to Dusty. >> I wouldn't say you're the last person I thought I'd see this morning, but it's you're down there on the list. >> So, wrong place, wrong place. >> Give me your version of what's going on. Tim comes over and him and the shop are buddies. >> Okay. >> And so he come over and ate the other night and he said, "I got a couple of guys coming in." He said, "Would you help take them?" I said, "Yep, I'd love to." >> Okay. >> And so here I am. >> That's fine. So he's But he's running the operation. You're just helping him. >> This is the first time. >> Okay. >> Well, how much are you getting out of it? >> I'm not getting anything out of it. >> Why? >> I told >> that doesn't make any sense. I told him I love to go. Just like I go with Marshall or anybody, you know, after that I've killed out. I I mean, I just want to go. >> Okay. Well, >> just like this morning, I got as much thrill out of calling that bird in this morning as I did if I had shot it. >> Right. >> If I pulled up the OnX, you show me where you were. >> Mhm. [snorts] If you can find that cabin over there, I can show you right where I was at. >> What cabin? >> That next one over. >> Oh, this one right here. >> No, no, no. On the next adjoining property. >> Okay. Now, >> um, well, just so you know why we're here. Okay. >> Well, yeah, I've heard. Yeah. Mhm. >> The yellow and the greens. >> Mhm. >> And the red is bait >> like >> corn >> all over the ground or what? Cuz I didn't see anything. >> It's all over. It's all over the ground. And there's a feeder. You drove right by a feeder full of corn that's dumping corn out right here when you come in. That's the obvious one. But there's corn spread all in the road. >> Oh, that little up here on this power pub. Is that one you're talking about? >> Yeah. coming in from the main >> feed. Okay. I saw the fever there in the camera, but I didn't pay attention to the corn. >> Yeah. Or it's full of corn. But the road the roads that look like this, there's corn all in them. All All the way out. All down there. All down there. All up here. >> He's already took the wrap for He's got a whole his truck's full of corn. >> I don't >> The fourwheeler is full of corn. >> Yeah. I don't >> I mean the corn and turkey season >> Oh, yeah. They don't mix. >> I know that. >> Right. Okay. Well, as far as me knowing that he's got his old farm baited, I do not. >> Okay. Right here's where we're at. The blue dot. >> Yeah. >> And you go back out to to 176 right here. >> Hold on. Right here. >> So, I come in somewhere. There's a There's a house right there. >> That's on somebody else's property. I come in from this side. >> And see, that's not his. He said he the guy lets him hunt >> that field up top. >> I didn't go down by this cabin. I stayed in this field right here or somewhere right here. >> Did you have to go through a gate? No to get into those. >> No, I went right up here. He showed me those. >> Stayed on this place. >> He I got in his truck the other day and he said, "You follow this road, take a left, go past the pit that the other carver got, what's his name?" >> Yeah, I don't know. >> Anyways, >> so what' your guy I'm good. What' your guy do? Did he miss one? >> Yeah. >> Didn't hit it? >> No. >> But he did shoot. >> Okay. Is that his gun in your truck or is that your gun? >> That's mine. >> Why you still have your gun? >> I just done took it out. I don't take anything out. I got all my crap in there. >> Uhhuh. >> Did you take it with you? >> No. >> You look at my truck, you see it's full >> front and back. >> I've never guided a hunt in my life. >> Well, that's what you just did. Yeah, but like I say, as far as guiding money for it, I don't >> He's taking money for it. >> Yeah. >> He don't have a license to do that. >> Yeah. And I don't have a guiding license. So, I didn't I didn't figure that I'm guiding if I don't receive money >> because there wasn't any money. >> You're not taking any money, then [snorts] you're not you don't have to have a license, >> right? But I mean, just to take that guy though that he's got though, is that that's considered guiding in your opinion though? >> It is. >> That's that's what I'm saying. >> But, um I believe Mr. Tim is going to rap for all that. Yeah. >> And you may come out of here with nothing. >> Well, I mean, like I say, >> but some hard feelings. If you have any, that's on you. >> Oh, I don't. I mean, I just I don't >> uh Is your gun loaded? >> Uh, I don't know. >> All right. I'm going to check it. >> Okay. >> Oh, nice. Is this dusty? Is this yours? >> What's that look like? Who Who did you say? So I I'm real bad with names. I know your name's Tim. >> Yeah, >> he's Tracy. I know that. The rest of them I don't >> Who's in the woods? >> Tim. >> Tim. >> Okay. Who has their phone number? >> Joey. >> Joey. All right. I'll be back. Joey. Get a hold of them. >> See if you can get a hold of them, boys. >> I don't have the number. Charles got it. >> He said you did. >> Charles got the >> All right. >> I don't know if they're hiding or if they just ain't come out. If they sit all day long, they better come up. They going They going to have to come up here. >> I'm sure they got their phone on. I'm sure >> they're going to have to come on up here. >> I'm hot. I'm ready to go. >> Where's your shotgun? >> It's in the back seat right here. Back seat of this truck. What are you saying about this? No. I I kind of believe I think he's being strang Which gun's which here. >> You got the shells in your pocket. >> I can check that one. You got another need to be checked. >> Yeah. >> Whose shotgun is this one? >> Got two of them. >> That's not yours. >> It's a Weatherbe duck blind. Come on. >> You got shotgun truck. >> No, they're both that one there. You got two shotguns. >> That's a nice shotgun for nobody to be claiming. >> That one too. >> That one. >> That one. >> Yeah, that one. And my brother, >> man. >> It tastes good. >> Come on. >> Let me see. >> That's the second time. >> I said I need you changing it. >> No, I said that was mine. And that is this one. >> I think my brown is in there. Yeah. >> You know, you got to have it plugged to hold less more no more than three shells. >> Is it not plugged >> total? No. But it will at least hold four. >> Is that other one yours? >> You just take it. What? What did you bring it for? Backup. >> Yep. >> Did you pack it out in the woods this morning? >> Uh, no. Which one do you think? Yeah. >> But you said you didn't hunt with it. >> You only got two shotguns here. >> Yes. >> Right. >> This is the one you was hunting with. >> All right. Wish I have took the other one. That's a little bit nicer. I didn't try to take it. >> I mean, I can take both of them. >> Yeah. I mean, I said I was trying not to take it hunting, >> right? So, I took >> But I'll try not to take it, too. >> Okay. Appreciate it. Thank you. >> Now, we may have to get everything out of this truck cuz truck's a different story. >> Think about >> Look at him. Aaron needs a new truck. >> Just so you know, look at me. Just so you know, I think you're telling me the truth. >> Whatever that means to you, okay? >> Well, I appreciate that. But >> it it means a lot to me to be able to believe you, okay? Cuz I ain't kidding. I got pretty ill when I seen you pull up. I was like, what am I going to have to do here? Yeah. >> Well, like I say, I didn't >> But I also know you're man enough to >> I'm here. >> You're man enough. You're man enough to tell me the truth. Even if he was doing wrong, I think you tell me. >> I did not. >> But you are doing wrong, but I think you're doing it. >> You're doing it wrong the right way. >> Well, >> because I I don't think you took any money yet. I mean, if the guy's going to if he'd have killed that bird this morning and handed you 100 bucks, I believe you'd probably put in your pocket. Can't say I wouldn't either, but I'm not a guy. So, >> but I there was never any >> paying him and he's facilitating you to take them hunting. Luckily, we don't have that farm documented to tell if it's to know if it's baited or not. >> I just everywhere that I walked today, I did not see corn. >> I did not I did not hunt on any kind of bait whatsoever. I mean, I got no sense not to do nothing that stupid, >> right? But, you know, the dude you took, he don't have a license. His gun his guns unplugged. >> I didn't even know. >> You don't even You're not going to ask that. >> I didn't ask him any of that. I didn't ask him if he got a license. >> So, as far as I'm concerned, >> you know, most people that show up, I figure got nothing else to get license. >> He I don't think he's got anything. I know how to get a hold of him if we decide we got something on you. >> Now, you now you're a witness. Just go ahead and mark that down. If it goes to court, you'll be a witness. >> What do you want to do about cell phones? Did I take your cell phone? >> Yeah, I'll give it back to them. Okay. Your cell phone's uh sitting in the back of that SUV over there. >> Okay. >> Do you know this kid named Ethan? >> He hangs out down there. >> No. >> All right. Do me and yourself a favor. Don't communicate with anybody about this. >> I don't imagine I'm going to come back through. >> I mean, you go I'm sure you're going to go home. I don't like I say, I do this just for fun. I don't want to get in the middle of anything like this. This isn't my cup of tea. I'm sure you're going to go home and tell the the wife, >> but as far as like talking to these guys or >> I wouldn't get in the middle of none of that because cell phones are getting seized. >> I'm not getting that. >> And I'll know what if you text to him back and forth, I'll have that cuz his phone is mine now. >> Yep. >> So, keep that in mind. >> I got you. >> As long as you're telling me the truth, you ain't got nothing to worry about. You may have to come back and testify that you took this guy hunting. >> No, I did. >> Um, other than that, I think you're free to go as far as I'm concerned. If you ready, if you want to get out of here, want to move truck, you can get out of here. >> Talk to you real quick. Go ahead. Do you want [clears throat] >> Did any Nobody has admitted to hunting over bait. >> Um, >> but the guide is admitting to them. The my the guide is admitting that he put bait out. >> Yep. >> But none of the hunters did. So, I think every hunter here gets guy for sure knows about it. >> All right, Tracy, move your Tahoe. Uh, >> we got one coming out. Pull down. You pull down. Just pull down and let him pull right over in here and then you can come back between them rocks. >> How about a question? >> Yes, sir. >> Two questions. >> Yes, sir. >> One, Jason. >> Yes, Mr. >> C. My ex-wife. >> His wife, but he's still you treat him like how often has he been up here? >> He's been up here a lot. I mean, he helped me do a lot of stuff. >> Did he help you put the corn out? >> No. cuz he's acting real funny about that. He's done lied to me twice and the third time he goes to jail. >> No, no, no, no, no. He's not put the corn out in the feeders other than the one. >> Which one? >> That was right up here on the road. >> Okay. >> Cuz I couldn't lift the bucket up and put it out. >> Nobody's hunted that spot. >> No, no, no. It's just my >> If I told you I knew you were lying to me. >> I would tell you. Nobody's hunt that. I I had hunted it. >> No, I didn't say you. Where have you hunted it? >> I don't I don't even turkey hunt. I people up here I ain't about to turkey hunt. Uh, >> what's your driver's license? >> Let me have it. So, you're a resident of Kentucky or Georgia? >> Kentucky. >> You don't have to have one to hunt here on the land you own, >> right? >> Second question. >> Yeah. >> Is that truck paid for? You have a lean on it? What's you owe on? >> $30,000, $25,000, something like that. >> Cuz you know, it said just for immediately, right? If you wanted to, you absolutely could. >> Right. Uh I don't know that I'll get the approval. >> I don't know that I'll get the approval to seize it and the department have to pay it off. It may not. That's a pretty expensive truck, but we can buy our patrol trucks are on government contracts and I we could probably buy a new one for >> Oh, absolutely. On that one. >> But now keep this in mind that could be our truck and you may have you may still have to pay something towards that truck in order to keep it. But I'll let you drive it today. >> I want I want to coach you. >> I appreciate that. >> The four-wheeler. What about it? Is it old? It's old. Paid for. You drive it. It's stuff. >> I ain't going to use word. It's a piece of junk. >> So, I'm going to document your truck today. I'm going to document that forward. And I'm going to ask you I can't order you. I'm going to ask you to sell it all. about that. >> Don't go get a lean and get another lean against it. Don't do anything like that. >> I can't another go to court. We'll talk about it. >> Okay. See what the judge thinks and what my boss thinks. >> I'd greatly appreciate if they >> That would not be the first one we would be the last one. >> But look at it. There's not a better There's not a better piece of evidence on this property right now. Oh, absolutely. That pickup full of corn. Would you agree with that? >> Oh, well. I mean, >> there's about not much better evidence than that pickup truck. Oh, anytime you open tailgate, corn falls out. So, I mean, no matter what you do when a 30 gallon trash can full pull corn falls over back, you got corn in your truck. I don't care how it looks. >> Yeah. Well, corn and spring don't mix. >> Apparently not. >> It's like drinking and driving. It don't mix. You shouldn't have corn anywhere right now, right? >> It should be at the feed mill, not on your farm. >> And they would have [laughter] called me to come get that corn because they what they done where they combine and all they had they've been shoveling it up wherever they do their feed and all. And he called me and said, "Hey, you need corn?" And I said, I'll always take corn if it's free. And so free corn, >> but you don't need it right now. >> Well, well, I understand that. But I you're agree. I agree. But it's just one of those things. It's hard to turn down. But >> I mean, not that putting it out even putting it out for that matter. It's just the fact that >> just so you know, so we don't get confused. Okay. We documented this farm days ago. >> That's fine. >> Okay. We I've got a 30 second video walking down the road and it's solid corn all in the road. >> That's from the back back here, ain't it? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. From >> And then these boys found corn this morning back. >> Pretty much every field >> where every field back there >> back which way point down here. >> Yeah. These fields out here. >> They're my fields. >> Every single one of them had >> You got We went through >> You got your pockets? >> Yeah. My property ends right just past the end of this pond. >> We probably all got a little bit in my pocket. That's We all picked up corn this day. >> All right, let's see. >> We need to make sure that's on me, though. >> I mean, I'm not I mean, cuz I'm sort of confused here on >> cuz you know where you put corn and where you didn't. >> Well, yeah. Well, that I mean, no. I mean, in the feeder, I understand. I know where that corn come from down the road because it was at that busted feeder I brought back out here. is up there at the the house. And uh I'm looking I might have to look on and see where y'all found that at cuz that's sort of >> I mean >> I ain't Hey, I ain't hiding a thing. So I don't have to lie get out of trouble. >> Bait this property. >> Do what now? >> Who else place baited this property? >> Who's baited this property? >> Yeah, there's nobody. I mean it'd be me if I put a corn out there. Look at it. [snorts] Right here we are. >> Right. >> Go down this road right here. >> Right. >> That's the road that has the corn. Yeah. >> On it. >> Yeah. You see that black turkey? >> Yeah. >> That's corn. >> Okay. That's That's the main That's that main road going this way. >> Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. That's That's >> You admit there's corn there? >> Yeah. Cuz it would come out of that feeder all the way back here off my tractor. Yeah. I mean, I know that I know where all that corn come from. >> All right. >> Okay. >> But I know they're talking about something back down this way. My property ends right down there just to the end of the lake. >> So that's why I'm just sort of confused on him tell saying there's fields back here. There's baited that is that not on you? >> That one there? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. My property is about right there. >> Yeah. So there's corn here. >> Always where's where's where we are? >> Yeah. Uh this field here. >> That field. this field where the shoot house is and then we didn't find any in this one. >> Okay. So down all the way down >> from here to here. >> If you'll pull let pull my phone out, I can hit my map thing and it'll show property line. >> It all shows me on my property line. It's 1300 acres above. >> Oh, really? >> Dr. Patrick Mining. So we But there's only one there's only one road going I mean >> Right. Well, Roger Smith joins up here. >> You leave you leave here and you go right down through there, >> right? He joins me right there. >> And you said that's your >> Roger Smith's neighbor. >> Your neighbor? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. Okay. >> He's the one that sent me. >> He's the one that seen them. >> Yeah. He's the one seen them. That's why I said >> All right. So that uh Cody, that sail cam that that y'all found Yes, sir. >> that belongs to Roger. >> Okay. >> Was there corn there? >> Yeah. >> We'll just go talk to Roger. >> Is that a boy? What's four? >> Does he allow you all to hunt on him? >> Can you just show me my phone so I can look at my phone real quick? >> Yeah, >> cuz I know I got I got them two green fields right there. Let's >> All right. We still going to need to talk to uh We still need to talk to him about the corn he's put out. >> Okay. >> Maybe he won't lie to you. He's lied to me twice. Third time. >> Third time. I'm He's going with me. >> You want to talk to him before I do? >> I can. Absolutely. >> I'm serious. If he Not twice. Third time. Third time. >> I mean, I'll tell you. >> He riding one of us a lot, but he's going with me. >> I just asked him to throw it in the truck cuz it was backing around my truck. That 55 gallon 30 gallon trash can yesterday. It just spilled over once and I said, "Just dump that in that feeder right there." And he poured it in there cuz I couldn't pick it up. >> Okay. Where which field did you put it in? >> So by the driveway, I think >> by the driveway when you first come in, >> I think so. Yeah. >> In the corn feeder. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> All right. Uh well, I asked you earlier about it and you didn't say nothing. >> Well, I didn't even think about I didn't think about it being feeder the the right there by the driveway. >> Play some bait before. >> Yeah, I I guess you're right. You're right. >> Okay. >> Yes, sir. >> So, by yesterday, did you just get here yesterday? When did you get here? What's uh what's today? Saturday's Thursday night. Is it Wednesday or Thursday night when I got here? >> When who got here? >> Me. >> You. I went and picked a few up. They came in yesterday. Yesterday was Friday. We got here Thursday morning cuz I left Wednesday night. Dropped down and picked him up. Oh my god. It It's a feeder that when you come into the property, >> right on the drive on the drive. >> All right. You can't You cannot place bait. Can you bait in Georgia? >> Yeah. Yes. >> You can bait turkeys in Georgia. >> I don't know about turkeys or I ain't never I ain't never >> turkey hunt. >> I understand. There's some things you need to learn. >> Yeah, for sure. >> Apparently. So, I you know >> Okay. So, >> I did find out about the guy's license uh two weeks ago when I was at Uncle Le and got their little thing. >> Yeah. >> Cuz in Georgia, you just short-term lease people. You don't have have a guide license. You just paperwork they fill out says they're leasing it for the week or 4 days or whatever and that's just what you do. But >> I understand. So there's no other trail cameras on the property that's going to catch you putting bait out. Correct. >> So outside the feeder, >> correct? >> We're talking about the same one. >> Yeah, they're right up here by the driveway. >> Right up here by the driveway. Yes, sir. >> Who scattered it further out from the feeder? Thanks for coming out of the trash can >> when uh putting it in the feeder. >> Nope. >> Thanks, Jason. >> Wasn't this for corn and the grass right there in front of that camera? >> Oh, it's scattered for 25 yards. >> Didn't come out of feeder. >> No, no, when it was >> when he kicked the trash can up. There's a track. There's a trail probably 6 ft over to the feeder where I he had the trash can trying to towed it. >> Well, I'm telling you, somebody scattered it further than that. >> Then if there's corn throw out any further than that, I throw that out up there. I'm sure in front of the camera just for my deer. >> You wouldn't even catch it on camera. >> Really? >> Yeah. That wasn't that wasn't me cuz I was fighting that trash can. I >> mean, I I know I I like out the back of that truck. I throwed some out just raking it out down through there, but not not no between the camera and the feeder is the only place that was at. Well, there's more. There's more there. >> How the hell do we think any more corn get there? >> I don't know. It's down through the grass off the side of the road. No way it came out of the feeder. No way it was spilled from somebody picking up a trash can. Now that's really I mean I mean I mean I mean I tell you if I put out corn I ain't ain't I mean I'm caught here on that trip but I don't know where that would >> you didn't scatter any down through there >> just right there in front of the camera right there when I was going over there sweep rest out but I guess ain't now but no I mean I mean I ain't throw no corn out in hell I ain't th no corn out that's the first time I put corn in feeders since deer season maybe once before since then I'm just trying to think that right up there with that damn feeder in my tractor when I come up through there. Now that so much was empty by then. I don't know. I mean I mean I ain't trying to be stupid or anything. I'm just sort of baffled by that there's that much corn throw out up there. We I ain't thrown no more corn out of here. Let me rephrase that. [ __ ] I can't tell you what I wore last week. You don't know your wife's number? >> No, that's terrible. Only, you know, it's saying the only number I know is my ex-girlfriend. Go >> ahead. That's pretty sad. Okay. >> All right. >> Hey, Kyle. So I did he wanted he asked if he could show me on the map where where it was and I gave him his phone back. Y'all started hollering. I took off. He didn't know where it was. >> Y'all work together, sir? >> Yes, sir. >> You do? >> Not Not with Dan, >> but we work together. >> Work for him. Well, one of the guys is a city official. The other guy is a pipe salesman. We're contractors. They invited us to come up here. Um, >> well, it seems it seems that that's the ongoing word that they're telling everybody they don't have to have a license, no permit, and that's just >> we had no idea. That's just what we was told. You know, I apologize and I accept the responsibility, but that's what we were told. >> Yeah. >> Sorry. I ain't blaming anything. >> I know you rubbed me my rights, but what do you What am I going for? Exactly. Just >> I'm not I have I didn't place cuffs on you, buddy. And like I said, whatever words you're speaking to me, you're forfeiting that information right now. But as I'm talking to you right now, uh, the officer that put place you in the cuff probably has a a list of things after what I heard that happened. So >> yeah, I just he was behind me. I just didn't know who it was. >> Listen, honestly is the best policy, man. Seriously, it's like don't try to divert anything. Divert something, it makes it look way worse. >> Doing that look. >> No, I told him I I had to call. That's my week and I call. >> I got you. I got you. You just it's it's kind of [snorts] >> moved too far at this point. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Um unfortunately, but >> I mean there was no weed in the pot though. >> A resident doesn't matter. >> It's just like any other drug. >> What is that? Like a possession lesson now. >> It's a possession. It's a possession charge. The misdemeanor. >> So he going to have to go to jail for that. >> I don't know. But he mean he's in cuffs. So I think that that's the plan. So you don't get put in cuffs without, >> you know, Well, we'll know where we ain't coming back. I'm at this these guys. I mean, it ain't Charles's fault. >> No, it's like >> Charles is the city guy we come with. We never met the only guy we know here that we've met before. Uh >> who who talked to you? Who was >> um the little chubby guy in the >> That's him. very >> he should advise you he shouldn't have don't need your stuff cuz that's not at all correct >> not at all and like I said he's going to be looking at the root of what's going to happen be happening >> is this something that's been like ongoing prior to this the first day we've been here >> unfortunately and that's why I just you know >> but it's on us cuz we ain't got no license I mean I I didn't know I thought it was kind of like You know, some of these places you go, they furnish your license, like a three-day permit or something. I don't even know how y'all's system works. >> Yeah. Yeah. >> You buy annual license for that. A 3-day permit when you're non-resident. >> No, you got to buy annual for for all big game. So, you got to have an annual license. So, >> I don't know what the cost is >> when you're here. Do you buy license and then tags to >> license and permit? Mhm. >> Okay. So, one more question. There's a there's a trap up here. [ __ ] trap >> right >> up here by the feeders. >> Yeah, it's been there since god knows when. >> Did you trap it? Did you put him out? >> No, I I didn't put that trap out. >> Who put the trap out? >> Some old guy who come over here wanting to He used to work for the sheriff's department. They told me. He's such a [ __ ] Uh he brought a couple of live traps. He got He's going to trap my coons for me. Keep them out of feeders. And the very first day he put them out, he came back that next morning to check them and he couldn't get in my gate. And he got being a smartass about how he was doing me a favor. >> You need to find out who that is because here's why. You have untagged illegal traps on your property and you don't have a trapping license and they're not tagged. So if you can't figure out who that is. >> Oh, I trust me. I know. Y'all call >> burn you for that. >> No, you ain't going to burn me on that. I'll call Jeff at Malones. I got I get cuz he's the guy who >> Jeff who's Jeff >> guy from Malones and Lumber up here. He's He's the one who told the guy, "Call me about want trap." >> He better Who whoever that is? Scott Macintosh. Everybody knows me. He better call and turn himself in by Tuesday. >> Well, it's not Jeff. >> I don't care. Well, I've caught him before, too. >> Jeff, >> I know what you're talking about. The guy that delivers uh >> lumber. >> Joseph? Yeah. >> Just for a second. >> All right. So, total total amount that you paid for all the people to hunt here is $2,500. I believe it was 2500. >> Okay. >> Cuz I just sent to our corporate office. They sent the check directly >> and they sent it here. >> Yeah. Tim's address. >> Okay. Okay. >> And then uh Jason Johnson is the one that got you this morning. Correct. >> Mhm. >> Okay. Did you pay him, tip him or anything like that? He just was paid from the amount that you >> I guess he get paid. I don't know. >> All right. Appreciate it. Thank you. What's up? How you doing, man? >> On above date and time, the above was contacted at a hunting cabin on Tim Smith's property. The silver shotgun, a check of the shotgun indicated it was not properly plugged. The shotgun the shotgun above was capable of holding more than three shot shells. The bow also did not possess a hunting license or turkey permit. Okay. uh seized 12 gauge shotgun bearing shield number. So that's your stoer shotgun. Mhm. >> Okay. Now the plan for the gun, I don't know. Uh but I'd imagine when guns are seized, they want to take them. >> What he was saying that they take them, but we could when we go to court, we can try to buy them back >> or something. I don't >> Man, I'm sorry. You were put in this situation. You got to unplug shotgun. That's a mistake. >> I thought that that you think you would have >> Well, no. I bought my when I bought my vanelli. Yeah. >> My vanelli didn't come blood. >> Okay. See that? I mean, I ain't That's good, man. I got Georgia. You got to have You know, it sucks because you you listen to false information from this guy. >> Yeah, it does. But >> I hope that y'all learned something from this. If anything, not to come back here. >> No, I'll be back here. >> Charles, no problem. Y'all just doing it feeling. One of those deals, dude, where you know y'all didn't have any knowledge of the bait.
