The first portion of this video is just a giant civil issue since no crimes had been committed. The hotel didn't owe this suspect anything because they had never received any payment from her. It was all done through a third party app. And the suspect is going to have to take it up with them. And the hotel has the right to refuse service to anyone. So if they don't want her there, then she has to be on her way. But once these officer became aware that she had a potential warrant for her arrest, then she is legally detained at that point, not free to leave, not free to move around, definitely not free to go get in her car when they told her several times to stop moving. She could have access to weapons inside of her vehicle. She could have been going to get in her car to drive away. There was a bunch of different things that could have happened there and none of that would have been any good. And based on her behavior and these officers fully articulated that fact why they were doing everything that they were doing, they decided it was going to be safer for everyone involved to put her in handcuffs and put her in the back of the patrol car just until they verified that outofcount warrant for her arrest. And then we see she wants to catch additional charges for some reason, kicking and spitting. And sometimes with people like that, you just have to put on a spit mask, put something around their lower extremities called a wrap to prevent that movement, that kicking and that flailing, and then just take them to jail. But these officers tried to be cool with her throughout this entire interaction and and for whatever reason, she wanted to make it worse than it needed to be. And that's going to be it for this one.
