before deputies were on their way what started as a typical evening quickly escalated into a night the community would remember he sir how old are you guys 14 14 everyone's 14 yeah nice we weren't even doing anything we were just up down the sidewalk there was no cars or anything all right well you're just crossing the street that's not a crosswalk all you guys look under 16 so that's why I'm stopping out with you got here one of them said somebody called the cops and I was like bro I just had he called you guys we'll figure it out I don't know yet I've never been in trouble I didn't I just to go back to my house that's where me and I mean there a first time for everything is there yeah but I've never been in trouble I was just going home okay so where were you guys before this we were over there by Lowe's literally we went to Zach be we got food came over here cuz they were over here and we were right there we were sitting under there for a little bit riding around not causing any har at all we weren sitting under the cover we weren't screaming we weren't swerving cars we weren't in the way we were being respectful to everybody I like everybody that tried to go we let them go and then we came back up and then we came back over here cuz me and him were heading home we live on the other side of town me and him heading home and that's when we were we got they were going home too we were going back so I got multiple calls about you guys from who that's none of your business about correct so I'm going to give you guys listen be honest D just be honest exactly what you did honesty is the best policy if you're not honest with me that's when things get worse okay so be honest what were you guys doing we just told you no no okay basically we got we were just eating what happened Z we were just eating that's allitt what happened in the parking lot nothing happened in the parking lot I kn did a couple little little came right sitting all right we're done a couple around here car alarms in the parking lot no we that silver car alarm was going off for like 20 minutes we went inside and said in Z and said someone's car is going off outside no one came and I went back inside I said someone BW car on is going off blue or silver was right there though we wer there me and him had just pulled up like you can literally go check the cameras we were not doing nothing to no cars we were sitting in the park right here Bing is not I mean I didn't know I couldn't cross the street cuz I looked both ways and it wasn't crosswalk pretty sure JY sure Jing are you guys I'm going to be frank with you guys are you guys dumb or what it's crossing the street with a bicycle is that walking no oh J wow look at that so let's stop with all that crap right I have a question like I have a serious question so like when they called in like what what did they say like did they say like they say I'll be honest with you they didn't say d they said that there get in come help us oh my God what did they say juveniles are in the parking LW are in the park it's very simple it's very simple to not get in trouble just just listen just use your brains for a minute does this look like a place to go riding around on a bicycle listen crossing the street doing all that stuff going through the parking lots on bicycles and stuff we suppos to where are we supposed toide there's nowhere listen there's Parks I I heard somebody was in the listen I hear somebody lives in the B section right somebody lives what b or B there's a there's a park by the by the P section too there's all sorts of stuff that you guys can do that is one significantly safer all right and two is made for exactly what you guys are doing this is literally retirement Town there's nothing to do with here okay then know your son made some concerning statements that this time he has been placed under a law enforcement zre act as of a couple minutes ago I'm sorry can you repeat that we are on our way and you are going to release to us when we get there that's not the way it works um I if I bring my it will I'm sorry I don't understand what this are that you can child when your son tells law enforcement that he's going to kill himself and shoot himself we place you wouldn't have talked to him and harassed him and pressured him he never would have said any of that the only reason he said anything is a problem cuz these kids have nothing to do they ride their bike well that's that's fine but when they're causing issues we had called out them every single issues they're causing I don't know it ask your son how about how about you talk to your son at home when he's gotten citations already for the fact and figure out what doing you been sh I more than myself okay we get closed every single day about him that's why get citation we may or may have something better to do but I'm telling you sir when you say to me if I got something better to do no I don't I got this to be right here cuz they bother people in the community every single day I'm sorry my son right got a helmet matter it wasn't it does matter it wasn't his electric bike he does own one so if you're drive if you're driving a car and you hit somebody and run away because it's not your car does it matter no that has nothing to do he committ committ traffic fight he's on a bicycle a bicycle can I explain the Florida law per Florida law he needs to have a helmet if he's under the age of 15 which he is so he's in violation the for of law whether the bicycle is his yours or mine it does not matter here generally we I do not care if you ride the bike without a helmet I don't care however the issue Lies when we get called here four or five times throughout the day we have shootings going on we have fights going on we have suicides and I'm stuck here with unruly kids that want to cause disturbances block traffic and disrupt the peace you think I want to be here with a bunch of kids you think I want to be here right now there they've all escalated it from there we we received calls about disturbances involving them for like the last two hours ever since I came on Sage we having juvenile incident we keep having to come out here and deal with them causing disturbance to the peace and VI violating laws and all this WR rules Walmart like I said I've had better things we have shootings going on we have fights going on suicides and here we are dealing with this and parents trying to fight us for Baker Acting their child that said they wanted to kill themselves so now that now we can't do our job so here we are doing this whatever F your cation for no helmet 30 days to pay the citation obviously he does have a license but you can't get one until that citation PID 30 days to pay the fine he's got to be trespassed from low I'm still working on the paperwork okay we can't hold we can't we can't hold drop off at his house what for being in the they want Tres so they causing a ruckus at Lowe's and the manager the manager does not want them back listen I hav listen I haven't listen I haven't even been there yet because I've been dealing with the kids okay listen so I'm going to explain this as best as I can to you do you own a house yes I do you could trespass anybody you want for any reason doesn't matter okay so they were obviously doing something over there that caught the manager attention I'll be honest with you we've had so many calls from of buses that I don't know exactly complaint came from them but they want them trespassed but you understand there's more than these guys riding bikes in pal Coast there's a whole Community you think I want to be here and do this right now you don't I'm I apologize we got the calls come something about it just chill out guys please look I don't want to be here I know my son rides his bike and that's what they do which one's your son this is my son they have nothing better else to do in honest with you since I got here this is this has been the one that talks and escalates it the most understand what he he I taught him that yo you're a minor you're a minor and if you don't have to talk but he talks a lot of but at the end of the day you guys are like all this and that this and that he's a minor listen you got to call me first no I don't so okay no you don't all right whatever you're obviously the professional no I'm not you guys are professionals okay so now that everything's calmed down do you would you like to know what's going on sure okay I tried to find that out on the phone yeah and then what happened your husband attacked us so what's happening is we got called please you guys are ridiculous okay review the body cam yourself and follow the complaint I will I want every bad number so the reason we were here is we got calls about children obstructing traffic and disturbing the peace okay that deputy there observe them committing a traffic infraction not having helmets on them when they're under the age of 15 okay I I understand all that okay well okay you ask you want the scenario right I I heard you over there so please get are you going to interrupt me I am going to interrupt you because I want to know figure's going on you kind of got lucky you're not going to ticket today like I said uh your dad I stopped him once before okay I've already warned him once he was a helmet on his bicycle I'm top that he lied to me that day about who he was with and what he was doing which I found out later I was going give ticket today cuz this the second third time dealt with him but I'm going to give him another warning today he's been stopped by us more than once jumping off the bridge I've stopped it's the bike issue cuz we we things that we always get called about the kids on bikes it's almost daily at this point they're going in stores they're causing issues they're going in front of traffic putting cars off stuff like that to be seem like pett stuff but every single day is an issue to be fair as as he's saying we don't care generally if kids are riding their bikes we see we see it all the time but the issue is we've had like four or five calls involving them in all different areas of the City you know what I'm saying so we have to come out and investigate if a crime has occurred and it takes us away from other res ask we have shootings fights all going on but we can't be there because we're we're here does that make sense again we don't care if you don't have your helmet on bro we don't care but you need to watch what you're doing hand day get hit on a bicycle were the parents of the children right to react the way they did that's cool don't with me I didn't do nothing do you think the cops could have handled the situation any better seeing as they were minors tell us what you
