But if you thought that Karen was a handful, the next one kicked an officer straight in the chest while being carried down a flight of stairs. On November 13th, 2022, officers in Illinois responded to a call involving a drunk 39-year-old woman named Melissa Gonzalez, who was causing trouble at Harris Casino. What the officers didn't know was that they were about to meet the most childish adult they'd ever dealt with. Hey man. Hi. Hi. >> I didn't know anything for the night. Yeah. But is she able to go anywhere else? >> Yeah, I know. I know. She being strong, right? Yeah. >> But she don't make any problem. So, they decided that she's not allowed. That's not our decision. Okay. You have an option to go somewhere else. Okay? I'm trying to make this as easy as possible. You catch Uber and don't need a car or an Uber or nothing. Who have I been yelling at is what I want to know. >> He has nothing to do with me. >> He has nothing. He's trying to help me right now. >> He has China. She's looking at her foot on the door. >> Sit back. >> Sit back. You are funny. >> Even after reaching the station, Melissa refused to cooperate with processing procedures. So, she was taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility. She was charged with aggravated battery to a police officer, obstructing a police officer, criminal trespass, and obstruction of justice. While Melissa tried to deadweight her way out of the arrest, the next Karen used her voice as a weapon. On July 14th, 2024, officers were called to a hotel where a woman named Heather was harassing guests, throwing around racial slurs and getting violent when staff tried to calm her down. What should have been a piece of cakework for the officer ended with him biting off more than he could chew. >> How you want your business, declare room? the reception want to talk to you or whatever. So she has come out and is a trespass. Okay. >> All right. I'll go talk to her now. Heather, >> can you come talk to me, please? >> Hey, I need to talk to you. Come down here. >> I'll see you right here. >> All right. Here we go. Your name and your name. Yep. >> Nope. Nope. Nope. Turn around. She was charged with trespassing, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct. Now, at this point, it's clear that these Karens just don't respect authority. But what happens when the suspect is actually the daughter of a cop? On April 2nd, 2023, an officer was patrolling near North Avenue in Old Hull Road in Georgia just as a block party had wrapped up. He spotted a car driving with its trunk wide open. So, he pulled the driver over. She was later sentenced to 12-month probation with a $50 court cost and a $345 court fine. And while Jada was loud and confrontational, the next suspect was quiet, delusional, and so far gone she talked herself straight into handcuffs. On April 15th, 2023, Detective Fox responded to a call in Georgetown, Texas, involving 43-year-old Jennifer Anne Leah, who had reportedly refused to pay her hotel bill. What should have been a simple stop quickly turned into one of the most delusional encounters the detective Fox would ever witness. So, you got somebody doesn't want to pay their bill, huh? Tell me where you want me to sit until midnight until my room is available. I'm jumping through hoops because I'm Cinderella. And so, I'm coming back in in the morning because we have a menu and so I'm not leaving here until everything's accounted for. Okay. And there's money in the account. Money that is authorized at midnight. So, will you help me find the the cap that dropped on the floor, Officer Box? >> Okay. [Music] >> Looks like the cap's right there. >> Okay. So, I'm on property. Andre, you disappointed me. >> So, I just spoke to Jeffrey right now. That's who I was talking to. >> Thank you. >> I think he may have told you something different. So, when you came in today and when your card declined, he >> and I mentioned to him that it authorizes admission. >> Correct. But but he was not correct. So I think he >> less than 15 minutes he checked me. He held my room because that's what I'm saying. He did not. I just he >> I just spoke to him right now and there's no Okay. So you know what? I trust my detective box. So my detective Fox and I we're going to go and check into my rooms. Fine. >> Ma'am, we can't go anywhere until you settle your bill here. >> So I'm not settling my bill here until midnight. >> Okay. 15 minutes. expect these people to wait on you? >> Well, I I don't >> Ma'am, at this time, I'm going to detain you. Okay. >> Okay. >> You know what that means by detaining you? I'm going to put you in handcuffs. Okay. All right. Go ahead and face away from me. Put your hands behind your back. Put your palms together like you're praying. Palms together. There you go. Interlace your fingers for me. You wanted to do this the hard way. So, we're going to do this the hard way. Do you have ID? Cuz now that you're detained and you don't want to provide me ID, I'll place you under arrest for failure to ID. So, will you show me that proof? >> Proof of what? >> I want the I want the >> You have a bill that's due. You got to pay your bill. Okay. >> Yes. And that's not until midnight. >> And I think you've had too much to drink as well. >> I'm not I have I'm in a safe place and I'm not leaving. >> So, you have a bill to settle up. They're asking you to settle up your bill. You're refusing to settle up your bill because I'm not refusing a bill. >> Here's the thing. I'm I'm >> Andre. I'm not refusing to settle a bill. I'm settling my bill when my card offers >> and I can smell you. I can smell your alcohol. So, how much have you had to drink? >> Ask Andre. Ask >> how much have you had to drink? >> Serve me. >> How much was the bill? >> What's in the >> $178? Okay. >> Was not 178. >> Do we have that bill? Did she provide a card? >> No, she wouldn't provide anything. >> So, no card, just just $30. >> Put it onto her room. But if you don't have a room or you can't do that. Where's your ID at? Do you have your ID, ma'am? So, here's the other thing, too. If they asked you to leave, leave the premises. Well, you can't go anywhere in your condition. You can't be in public in your condition. All right. So, that's where we're at. Beggar 23. I'm down in the restaurant. If you come through the front doors, go to the right past the bar, you'll see the set, you'll see the stairs. this elevator right here. >> No, they can take the stairs. I took the stairs. It works. What's up? What you need? >> Okay, so this young lady here has racked up a tab, but her credit card, I guess, is on like Cinderella status. It doesn't go effective until midnight. So, she can't charge her bill to her room. So, the long and short is is that an individual originally earlier today, I guess, like she gave him a card, but the card was declined. So, he doesn't she doesn't have a room here. And she's they're just they're getting ready to close. They're asking her to settle up. She's refusing until midnight. Yeah. So, that's what we got so far. And then she's refusing to give me any kind of identification. So, that's why I was like, "Let's get sergeant over here." and whatever. >> I don't know if he's still coming or not cuz I thought you just going to check by >> so we came. >> Okay. >> But you might have to verify if he's coming as a supervisor. >> Do we know what all she's had to drink? Cuz I can I mean I can smell alcohol. >> She's been served four glasses of procco throughout the duration of her time. >> Okay. So four drinks. >> Mhm. >> All right. You want to you want to give me your ID? So now she's refusing to say anything. So >> that service for your ID? >> Yep. >> Do you want me to pay $100 and till midnight? >> I mean, I need the full amount. Hey, man. >> All these people probably like to go home. >> Can you pay? >> Get on with their lives. >> Um, I'm charging. >> It's not a trick question. I'm charging it to my room and yes, >> I have the ability I have the ability to pay. So >> So we verified that you don't have a room here. You don't have a reservation. >> I have a reservation. Jeffrey has reserved my room. I have a reservation. I have a reservation here. Jeffrey reserved my room. Jeffrey reserve my room. >> Well, Jeffrey just said didn't >> Jeffrey reserve my room. Who is Jeffrey? >> And you all want to press for the the theft? >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> Okay. All right. >> Okay. Well, >> solve that problem. >> Problem solved. That's where we're at. [Music] >> You're under arrest. >> I'm not under arrest. >> Now you are. >> I'm not under arrest. >> Yes, you are. >> How am I under arrest? So >> for theft of service, >> I'm not under arrest of theft of service. >> Yes, you are. >> Jeffrey, >> I'm a I'm a police officer and I'm telling you right now, yes, you are under arrest. Okay, so here's the other thing. You can provide your ID. And if you don't want to do that, then I'm going to charge you with failure ID. Okay? >> So take the handcuffs off. >> I'm not taking handcuffs off. So you have one, two, three, four. Four male officers against one female who has every right to be in this establishment. >> When it's closed, right? >> It's not closed. >> It's closed. >> It's noted as the doors are open. The doors are open. >> It's not closed. The doors are open. And Jeffrey made the reservations and I came. I The reservations are held. >> Thank until you check in. >> I'm done talking. >> I mentioned to him my card. >> All right, we're What's that? >> Yeah, she says Jennifer, but >> Jennifer Lee. It's not folded. >> What? >> It's not folded. >> I folded it. It's a piece of paper. >> It's not folded. >> So, I was asking you here to let her know the ramifications of Fed ID, but >> you're capable of doing that. >> Oh, yeah. So, we're we're all good to go. >> All right. >> So, your hands? >> We're going to go this way, ma'am. >> Okay. Um, so I need my pen. >> Okay. >> And my notes. Yes. And And my pen. [Music] >> Come on, Star. >> There's three male officers. >> There is. There's one female in an elevator. >> Mhm. >> And you all are all kind. >> Yes, we're professional. >> Mhm. I've been since we got here. [Music] >> You should have female custody. Even after being officially arrested, she was still in denial. But the three officers were about to give her a reality check she'd never forget. >> I'm going to take one cuff off to get your purse off. >> No. Um, >> no. It's not a negotiation. >> No. What right do you have to search anything? I need the proof. >> You're under arrest. >> Why am I under arrest? >> This is my proof right here. It says detective. >> No. I need proof that you're No, I need proof. No. No. I need No, I need I need >> Ma'am, sir. >> You're going to get a third charge. >> You're going to get a third charge. >> I need I need I need your right. I need I need search and seizure. I need your I need your >> Yeah. Move it for me. >> Let go of my purse. >> No. No. I'm not letting go of anything. I'm not letting go of anything. >> Um >> take yourself off her. >> Yeah. No, just >> I have four now. I have three. Just slide in there. Do a double that. But um there's not any right. >> She's letting go of it. No, I'm not letting go of anything because I'm not under arrest. >> Make sure it's not too tight. >> I'll get your light. >> Yeah. >> Do you have anything? Yeah, I got You got anything on your person that's going to poke or stab or hurt me? Okay. Anything in your bra? Anything in your waistband? Okay. Let me go this way. Ma'am, try to find an ID. Here you go. Step that way. >> Hey, Fox. >> Yeah. >> I bet you 10 bucks. That's her car. Mercedes. >> Is it? >> Where's the >> We'll find out if they want it here or not. >> It's hers. >> Oh, it's going to be a pain in the to inventory. >> Jennifer was charged with theft of service, possession of a dangerous drug, public intoxication, and failure to identify.
