Uh usually goes to major crimes, but we'll get there. We just are only allowed so many interviews with her. So what are the clothes that she has on? She wasn't wearing those during the incident. >> Yeah. These are extra ones. Like they packed for a weekend over there. >> Did she shower or anything like that? I don't think Her hair is still matted. I haven't asked her like you guys got here right after she did. >> Okay. Okay. Well, hey, we try to get here as quickly as we can. >> I know you did. Um Cuz they came all the way from South Springs, way out. >> Just real quick while we have him on the phone, can I ask her if she's showered since it happened? And he's still out there, correct? That's his house. Does he live alone? No, with him. Got you. She No clothing. So, what's the living arrangement? Does step Does stepdad live with her and you? No. This is a whole 'nother house. Like I I live out here. She just went out there with her younger sister. Okay, so younger She did? Did he force her to do that or you don't know? No, I don't know. It's disgusting. You know what I'm saying? I get it. We just We have to ask these questions, ma'am. I know. I know. It's hard. Yeah. And grandma and the grandma cuz this happens every weekend. This is not the first time. This has been happening for years, guys. Yeah, it's been every weekend that they go over there. I'm never ever Do you think maybe something happened? No? As sick as this sounds, with my boss there? She has She has showered and the clothing she had on is at the house. And the trash gone. All right, so she has showered and the clothing that she had on The little girl looks exactly like her. You'll see. Is that the house? He's at the house. He doesn't know any I know anything, you guys. Like I didn't call the sheriff department. Yeah, because I have Detective Rodriguez. He told me exactly what to do. Detective Rodriguez with us. Okay. Get the grandma Have the kids come out to the road and they hid in the bushes. Who's Who's there right now at the house? The grandma, him >> You grandma collect the clothes? Oh, she's She's going to flip when she finds the towel. She doesn't know anything. They don't know anything. Listen, but you want to go over there or do you want me to We need to go over there collect that clothes. See, this is what happened. Wait one second. We need to go over there collect that clothes. And on top of that, we need to make sure he doesn't go anywhere. Yeah, unless they if they even allow us go in the house. Do we have a car in the back of the house? I get that, but if they refuse, we'll have to get a warrant. We got it. So, her daughter called her, told her what happened. I called Detective Rodriguez and he told me exactly what to do. He said get the girls out of the house, so we sent grandma to pick them up and her and her little sister hid in the bushes till grandma got there and they came out on 19. And so, he said don't say anything until we had them, you know, in custody with us and then to call you guys and then I called you. They keep burning up all of our phones. I said she was down at our other shop working and our phone wasn't working there. So, they don't know anything about it. All right, so let's take a step back so I can tell you what I think is going on. My worry is the clothes. She's already showered. The clothes are at the other house. She has no idea what's going on. Yeah, that's just grandma. We've been just saying she's down at the other shop and we can't get a hold of her. All right, let's do something. And we don't know what clothes that she was wearing. If you don't know what clothes are in the trash can or shorts, is only What's which trash can? Um Here, let's have her come out. Yeah, for a second. The one in the white shirt? No, the one in the blue. Can you step out for a second, please? Just one quick thank you. >> [clears throat] >> It's It's legit. What's wrong? She won't Just make sure she's okay. Just let her know what happened to her. So, I'm going to have >> You >> want to talk about that one. Yeah, I don't Yeah, that's that's the one. I've been dirty. Oh my god. You don't want to walk in. Like the Texas Road Patrol or what? I hope so. Yeah, so I'm hoping so. I did. I asked her questions. I said, "Has Daddy ever touched you on the And you Yeah, cuz that kind of had me a little little concerned. Cuz I saw when you saw it and then you said the question I'm like She always said he's going to be calling major crimes. He's going to be calling me back and I I would be the grandma he's calling and she asked me if I knew where they were and I'm like How would I know they're supposed to be there? I would be up and down looking in the bushes and the woods. >> 7000? It's like, "Well, they don't come back soon." And that's a desolate area. Yeah. All right. Um Just so you know, a couple months ago the other one, the other sister The one that was here earlier? Yeah. She told told Mom that it happened to her. Called this morning. We asked her, but she's not speaking and she said she won't talk to you guys either. So. What she told you guys a couple months ago that this happened? She told Mom, but Mom was like, "Yeah, I know." Didn't call us or anything? She didn't, you know, believe me, you know, or anything. So, I mean, all of us, I've known Lee, you know, from the kids, you know, a few years. I mean, you you never know when something's going to happen, but he never seemed like he'd be that kind of He's always been loving dad, you know. I've learned since I've lived out here for 5 years. But I love these boys. Yes, ma'am. There are some good people out here, too. Yes, I agree. But I agree with your assessment. All right, I'm going to need a lot of people information. A lot of what? People information. I'm not really for it. We'll start with you. Were you over there last night? No. I can get you a like one of these narrative forms. Do you want to fill this out while we wait and you can just write down everything you told us what she told you. Could you pick up some of this stuff, baby? I'm going to get this and then I'll Okay. Well, take your time with that. Here's my only pen. Don't lose it. I'm back inside. So, she said that I guess she was held up in the room overnight. How did she get out? Do you know? I guess she just ran away. here climb out of her window or something? >> phone was dead. And something's going on because the little one the grandma, the little one always comes back perfectly clean, hair perfect. I mean they treat her like a little angel and she came back looking how she is, all dirty. Yeah, she's in there. Yeah. Was this in any a room somewhere? I don't know exactly what room. It's his bedroom. In his bedroom? Uh-huh. His his bedroom. The the dump is near his house in Salt Springs. But and and the way that she explained it was that it's not a regular dump where you just throw the trash and it compresses it. It's just a regular garbage can that they put out there though and you just throw the garbage in the garbage can. That's what I'm saying. Yeah, I have so I'm going to stay 10-12 with them here and the victim. Deputy Byrd can can head that way if you want. But it's it's essentially it's up to you, whatever you prefer. Here, I'll put you on speaker phone, okay? Hey Mom. Yes. All right, so this is for both of you, okay? Our detective is asking if you will be okay to be interviewed. Mom says it's okay. You mean interviewed? They're just going to ask you questions. Just be honest with them, okay? She okay with that? All right. All right, again she says she's set forward to be interviewed. All right, what about Big Dan? And then the other question is, would you be okay getting the uh Yes, absolutely. We already said we're going to do that. Yes? Yeah, they're both on on board with it. Okay, but I mean the the the girl also has to be okay with it. We can't force her to do anything. So, I just wanted to make sure the girl's also okay with She says she's okay with it, yes. Okay. Um so, then what I'll do is I'm going to call Kimberly, and then once that's set up, I'll text you the address. Um just confirming all the evidence is either going to be in that trash bag or at the the suspect's house, correct? Nothing about it. So, I'll get I'm going to wait for them to call me back, and then I'll text you the address, and um you'll basically just kind of Take her over there? Yeah, well, I mean That's stuff there, but um do you have Mom to get to a change of clothes for the girl cuz they're going to take the ones she's wearing now anyway. And then when I get the okay, I'll let you know the date and time, but then we'll just Everybody will meet at Kimberly Center. And then as far as Burke, if he wants to go there and hunt around for the trash, um he can. I don't have a problem with that just before he They take it at 5:00, so you know, I just need him to let me know. If I I'll go there now. He says he'll be 51. Give him how to get there the best that you can, and he'll try to I can't borrow them. No, she needs to stay with victim. Um So, all right. Um I guess I'll I'll wait for you to hit me back with the uh address of the Kimberly place. Do you Do you want So, just to confirm just to confirm, you want me to transport the signal 44 in my patrol car or just have him take her there? No, you take her there. I don't have a problem with that, but he has no idea where it And then Unless have you been there before? Uh no. No, I haven't been there. Okay. Um all right. Well, then I'll just I'll call her and I'll explain where it is, and then I can just give her the address, and she can follow me if anything. Therefore, all right. Sounds good. Thank you. All right. Well, bye. I noticed it's a Dollar General bag. >> the best that you can if you find it Oh, gosh. >> Okay, call call her to get her. Detain him. It's right there. Who is he? No, no, no. Sir? Power up. Power Can you step out real quick? Don't don't play. HAVE A SEAT. HEY. GRANDMA. GO SIT DOWN. NO, I'm not going to sit. This is ridiculous. Let me turn the air up. It'll be a minute, okay? >> Okay. Appreciate it, man. No, I'm going that way. I'm getting my cigarette. I'm getting my cigar. All right. Where did the new guy go? I remember that the whole family's in here. Come on. I'm right here. Come here. I want to know why there's so many people involved now. Hey, hey, away from the windows. No, no, no. And it might make things worse, you know, if you if you utilize your medicinal marijuana. It might I'm not a doctor, but sometimes it can cause more anxiety. But we can have medics come check you out. It might might make you feel better to see that you're okay cuz that sometimes you you get all worked up worrying about I'm just sorry you had to come across this way, you know? I mean, we just left the house. We didn't know what happened. We've been looking for him. I've been frantic not knowing what happened. They Cuz you you didn't know where they were at. She's just a friend. Okay. She's just a friend of the family. She's always been really nice to me and me. I have no reason to be upset with anyone, but I just don't understand why they're saying this because that is not true. My son would never ever He's known them girls since since they were little. And he's a father himself. He's got two boys here and then a little one as well, right? Yeah. So, that other girl that's inside, there's two girls. Are they both not his? Okay, I have this for you. Are you ready for the game changer? All Okay, what's going on? So, we're going to have you guys en route to an address. And you're going to meet the detective there. Okay. All right, so this is the game plan, okay? Um so, I already got >> Y'all can go if you guys want, okay? You need to be en route to that address. All right, what am I doing? Explain what I'm doing now from here. So, I'm taking her there. Taking her there to do the examination. >> Okay, and then from there? And after that, she'll let you go. Okay, what's going on with this? Do we know yet? >> We know what it is. Like I'm going to have chaos with this family? No, no, they're all leaving already. If you can answer it, try to answer it. Okay. It doesn't even show me, like it just sends it. I don't know why it does that. >> Okay, all right, that's fine. All right, so And I'm going to I guess take him to North Precinct and hang out there. >> She said CID. Yeah, but she'll be She's got to go see you first, right? >> Yeah. All I do is go use the bathroom and come right back out, I promise. Uh so, unless the detective tells us we we don't know what we have yet. So, All I need to do is go use the bathroom. >> She's told me to lock it down as a crime scene. >> walk in there with me if you want to. I just have to go in there use Uh we we just we have to wait until the detective does her interview, and then once that happens, then we know what we can do and what we can't do. >> step in the backyard. I'll just Don't give me any indecent exposure. I can't breathe. I got to go. Oh, sorry, honey. After all the running around, you're done. I just I wanted to hurry up and get home. I did text her. Okay, we'll wait for her to get back to us. So, That's physical. Y'all can see anything there. We don't know what we we're looking at yet until the detective tells us what we're looking for, if we're looking for anything in particular. I don't understand why I can't just leave it sitting on my porch. >> You're welcome to sit in the car. Can I go check the back of the thing at least? No, honey, I'm not Uh that's a big group that's a big group down there, but no, ma'am, we we have to wait until the detective tells us, and then this could be a Lexi procedure. I'm just I'm just here cuz it's one of my responsibilities. Um So Is there anyone else that lives here that might be coming by? No, just my son and Vincent. And And okay. >> And myself. All right, okay. But you just got my phone Let me Burke. Oh, he's probably in the back probably putting tape. Give me a second cuz I'm going to be leaving. He's going to be the one that's staying. Um So let me let me get him. Burke. Do you have her information already? No. Mom's? No. All right, I'll grab I'll grab it so we can notify her. She's going to leave. She's going to take off? Yeah.
