On May 17th, 2024, what began as a heated disagreement between a couple struggling with personal hardships quickly drew concern after witnesses reported a disturbing scene along the roadside. What's going on? Just our own little argument. Argument? Okay. What's Other than that, what's going on? Nothing. Just our own argument. Yeah. What happened? Nothing, officer. Just our own argument. Okay. Are you okay? Yeah, I'm okay. Yeah. Yeah. So, you look like you you rolled around on the dirt. Are you okay? We both have, officer. Can you go now? Yeah, no. That's not how that works. Matter of fact, do me a favor, go ahead and turn around for me. What did I do? I'm just going to place you in on being detained right now, okay? Go ahead and place your hands behind your back. Not right now. I'm just detaining him, okay? For my safety and his. I don't believe that. Okay, come with me. Now I'm getting in the vehicle. I definitely >> Yeah, cuz I'm going to talk to her alone. Not with you right there intimidating her. 65, Central, I'm going to have one detained. Go and hop in for me, bud. What's your name? She knows my name. If you want to talk to her, go talk to her. Okay, cool. What happened What happened today? What What What he do to you? >> in a pushing fight. A pushing fight? Did he push you down? I pushed him and he pushed me. That one there. Okay. Well, I'm asking cuz you you're you got you got cuts and scrapes and bruises all over you. You You got blood all over you. >> Well, the blood was from him. He cut himself down on the fence at the down at the house. Okay. So, what happened today is what stemmed over the argument? What what happened? Cuz I want to move into town. Uh-huh. And there's just no place to go. I don't want to be homeless. So, that's what we have to do. Cuz I got to go to the doctor. I got to get my medicine. Medication. I can't do nothing out here. There's no bus riders. There's nothing. Yeah. And stuff. And I just want to leave the stuff that's there. I'll leave it. And we got into a good argument and he pushed me. I was good. And cuz I my ankles hurt. I fell down. He was pushing me. Did you fall down or did he push you down? >> Uh I kind of tripped the first time he pushed me. The second time I fell down. He pushed you down? Yeah, but I pushed him down first. That was my fault. And he cut his finger down there on the fence. Okay. What what happened How how did you push him whenever you did that? Um He fell back and he hit his hand on the fence and cut it open. He got hurt. What I'm trying to figure out is what happened today, okay? Did she push you first? It's just arguments over other things that I cannot talk to you about. Uh what other things? Moving into town? >> That's the whole point. I cannot talk to you about it. >> illegal drug usage? Somewhat. Somewhat? Okay. So, there there I mean if you don't want to talk to me, you don't want to talk to me. But right now, I I mean she's covered in dirt. She says you you pushed her, but it was only after she pushed you first. Do you have a cut on your hand? Yeah, on my finger, yeah. On your finger? Okay. Is that where the blood on her jacket's from? >> Yes. Okay. Did she fall down here recently or >> Yeah, she she got hit by a pickup truck. She got hit by a pickup truck? >> Yes. That's what it's like 2 years ago. We've been on and off with the doctor. Nobody wants to help us. Wait, wait, wait. Did she get hit by a pickup truck today? No. Okay. All right, that's what You tell me she gets hit by a pickup truck and I'm thinking she she got hit by a pickup truck today. No. Okay. You want EMS come check out your hand? No. No? All right. Well, sit tight for me. Here's Here's the deal. He's not wanting to talk to me. And with you stating that you are the one that pushed him first, if I if >> You don't want nothing to happen to him. I And I understand that. But, we've got to resolve this cuz you guys you guys are clearly still upset with one another. You won't be able to go back to the house together. Would there be somewhere that we could take one of you? I'm going to have a report on this either way because you guys did admit that there was a verbal argument that if he's not wanting to tell me what's going on, Yeah, it's It's It's about moving into town. I need to move into town. There's no buses. There's no way to get here. And I have my walker and my wheelchair. But, um I can't I can't go from here to town. This is too >> Yeah. And he's trying to fight a way, but he got a little frustrated and afraid I'm going to leave him. So, he got all weird and stuff. So. Okay. So, he he also mentioned some illegal drug use that that's kind of what y'all were arguing over. Okay. Well, he said I can't tell you about it. And I was like, is it What is it? Illegal drug use? And he was like, Yeah, something like that. So, I'm like, okay. I smoke marijuana because of my legs. Okay, and that's probably what he's talking about. He thinks that it's still illegal. >> He's afraid I'm going to go to jail. Yeah. I'm sure that's what it is. So, okay. What do you want to do, brother? Well, I just talked to the to the RP on the phone. He said that when he called, he was trying to drag her back to the house. He was trying to drag her back to the house? Yeah. So, I think I think the story about him pushing or her pushing him first might be BS. I think she might not be trying to get him in trouble. Okay, we got ask him about it. Yeah. I wanted to talk to her again and just be like, look, be completely honest. When did he push you? Who pushed you first? Yeah. You know? >> Okay. So, let's let's keep grilling her. Okay. He's saying that she was trying to leave and he like pushed her down, grabbed her, and was dragging her back to the house and she was screaming, "Help me, help me, help me." Okay. No, not him. It's the RP. Oh, she's She's just trying to give you a cover-up story just so he doesn't get hemmed up, huh? All right. Okay. I need I need you to to be completely honest with me, 100%. She pushed you first? We were just having a I don't remember. She's saying she pushed you first. And then you pushed her back. Where did that happen? Did that happen over here on the side of the road? Did that happen over at the house? >> Over at the place where we're staying. >> Is that 6221? I don't I don't know. the >> the little shop in the back where there's the RV the RV and stuff. Yeah, is it um Oh, what's his name? Paul. Paul? Yes. Uh he's not there right now. >> He's not there? No. It's cuz he's in jail. He is? Pretty sure. I put a warrant out for his arrest here not too long ago. I I need you to tell me the story cuz I'm getting her story and based on her story she's the primary aggressor. I've got to act in that situation. You understand what I'm saying? Okay. So Miss Reader I just I just talked to the guy that called us. Okay. And he's telling a little bit different story than what you're telling. He said that you were trying to leave the residence. That's when Jesse came out and pushed you down, grabbed you, and was dragging you back to the house. I don't know what it looks like better. I don't think Yeah, he was a Cuz he said you were screaming for help. Calling help me help me when he was dragging you back to the house. >> him to leave me. I wanted him to leave me alone so I could go on these come to town. Mhm. That's what I wanted him to do. Right. So how did he how was he grabbing you? Um so he was grabbing my shirt. Grabbing your shirt? And his hand was bleeding. He got it on me. Okay, that's how he got the blood on you? >> Yeah, that's how he got the blood on me. Okay. It got on my jacket and stuff. Okay. The blood's from him? Yeah, from his bleeding. So Got it on me. when when all this started I need you to be honest with me. Who pushed first? It was me. Was it? Yeah. Or are you just trying to cover up for him? No. I wish I would say that, but I can't. It was me. I was mad. I don't want to live over here anymore. I can't make it to the doctor's office. I I make it anywhere in my wheelchair. And if he's got to go to rehab, that's 30 to 90 days. Okay. Does he use What does he use? What's his drug of choice? Um he used to be on meth. On meth? >> Uh-huh. But he used to Used to be? He hasn't done anything like that around me. I smoke marijuana. Okay. Um he does on occasion smoke marijuana, but he's really trying to get away from everything. That's why he's going to go into rehab. He asked me if I would go with him. I told him I would. I don't care. Whatever he's got to do. Mhm. All right. So. Okay. What do you know? Okay, real quick, man. So when when she she pushed you, okay, that's what we've established. She pushed you first, right? When you pushed her back, was it more to keep her from continuing to push you, or was it more of a retaliation like, oh, you pushed me down, I'm going to push you back? What what What was the deal there, man? I get you don't want to talk to me. I don't know how to I don't know how to how to really state that because like it it could be just wanting her to get away at the time and like for me to cool down or like like Was that I mean, was that your intention with it? That was? Okay. So when when you guys were arguing over at the house and she she decided she was going to push you. Was she trying to leave at that point? Was she trying to leave the house? >> think it was there yet. No? When did she try to leave? Was it a little bit later after you guys were still still arguing for a minute and then I I just needed I need to know that way I I know what to do, okay? Cuz right now I'm at an impasse because I'm getting conflicting stories. Do you see what I'm saying? Like >> No, not really. So, yeah, I've got a story that says that you battered her, and I've got a story that says that she battered you. Mhm. And then I've got a story that says you battered each other. Right. Okay. So, that sounds like the reasonable thing. We battered each other. Okay. So, if that's the case, you would both go to jail. Because you battered each other. That That's what I'm getting at. I'm trying to narrow the story down. I don't get what we have to say. Like we've said everything we need to. Okay. So, when when she pushed you and you pushed her back, you felt like it was more of a try to get her off of you? Mhm. Okay. Whenever she was trying to leave the the residence, did she push you at all before you you tried to grab her and take her back to the house? Uh I wouldn't necessarily. Huh? Not necessarily. Not necessarily? Were you dragging her? Was she on the ground when you were dragging her or or were you just trying to >> a couple times cuz she can't really get up. Okay. So, you're more helping her up at that point? At the beginning of it, yeah. Okay. Did she trip and fall like she did over here? Mhm. When I pulled up? And then walking down the road, y'all didn't have any issues? No more pushing or anything? >> Mhm. No, not until I got right here. Right here? And she pushed you first over here, too? No, she tripped and I picked her up and Did she not want you to help? Yep. Okay. So, you're trying to help her get up and then she what, like pushed you off saying, "No, I don't want your help or Yep. Okay. That's what she said whenever I pulled up she was like and he was like trying to follow her Yeah. >> up the hill right here. That's whenever I pulled up and she had like grass all over her and stuff. And like trying to clear it off of her. And his story makes makes sense cuz she's like oh I just fell down. He was helping me up and his story makes sense that she was like no get off me after she fell down. Yeah. Sounds like they both It It sounds like She was the primary aggressivist I had first and then I think he was kind of like trying to retaliate follow her kind of thing. Yeah. I think with the RP saw you know the RP just saw his part. And we can arrest both. And charge them both. I'd say I don't like doing that. If anything I think even though she's got more bumps and bruises from falling down I think he's more of the victim here. Is that her first step? Okay. So we're we're at a point here Okay. where with a situations like this we we have to do something. Okay. Okay? So you're going to be placed under arrest because by your own admittance >> By admittance. you pushed him first and he's even told us like whenever y'all were in the front yard you fell down you were trying to help him up. Yeah. You didn't want his help. You so you told me that himself and you were kicking at him and pushing him away and trying to Get over to ECDC. Okay. They should get breakfast. It's early enough. So That's a That's a I've never been to jail so this is a new experience. Right. For sure. So if you can step one out. I'm going to take him down. >> My hips, huh? Your hips, huh? My hips and my knees. Those are things that tend to go right away whenever we get older, huh? Yes. You ought to know. Why did I turn 30, bro? What was I even saying? I'm 32. Oh, you're older than me, then. I am, buddy. Not by much. All right, that was challenging. You're not coming off any drugs, right? No. No? Okay. No alcohol. No alcohol. No injuries lately? And you don't have any uh Any sport we I did sport. Got it? Yeah. Okay. No alcohol. Okay. Give us your email.
