She wasn't answering the phone. I'll be honest, your story isn't quite matching She wasn't answering the phone. because the fact that the severity of her burn is not I wasn't here. I don't know. But I I can't say anything to you >> Okay. like I was just explaining to this gentleman Okay. I was at work Okay. So when all this happened. >> Okay. So is that your Is this your wife? Yeah. Okay. Cuz we don't have that You know how you fill the tub up? We don't have that. We just have a shower. A shower. Okay. >> And she was going to give her a bath and wash her hair. So when she adjusted the temperature on it I guess it must have went more hot Okay. when she started doing what she was doing. All right. So you said you were at work? Yeah. Okay. So she said this happened like 2 days ago. What's today, Saturday? Today's Saturday, yeah. So, around, you know, Thursday is what I'm understanding if it was 2 days ago. It probably was. It probably was. All right. All right, can I get your first name? Came over, she finally came over, but she didn't answer the phone. Okay. When her I kept calling. So, is there I guess a reason why you guys never took the baby to the hospital or >> I wasn't here. Okay. I was at work. All right. I just We're just trying to figure out We're just trying to piece everything together, that's all. But I don't I don't even know happened, you know what I mean? Yeah. Today she called, she like, "Okay, I need you to get over here now." She And her niece was going, "Well, I got to make a run. I got to make a run." She said, "No, you need to get over here now." Wasn't that Wednesday? So, What? When she dropped I It was I don't know. >> Yeah, yeah. Cuz she dropped her taking the first time. But usually, you know, I like I'm racing over there. I've been watching ever since she was over there. When she was getting passed around here I don't She parked in the parking lot. I'm going to tell you to figure it out. Try to get the baby the medical treatment she needs. That's that's the goal. Yeah, it was just an accident, you know, from what I see it was just an accident, you know, the water changed, you know? Stand up. You can't cuz I told you to stand up. You're being detained. Stand up. Put your hands behind your back. What's that? Cuz I don't know what I'm doing that for. It's going to be all right. I don't know, man. It's just an accident. All right, dear, we're going to walk out to Can you call my husband, please? Yeah. Because I couldn't get in touch with her. I called them. She probably going to say who knows. Of course she should have been in an ambulance, ma'am. But >> That's what I did. I really did. You didn't do the right thing. >> But it Well, it was just a day, like You got to give her some milk. It was just a day. That's all That's why I mean, we're going to have you step in the car. Oh. Uh so, we're we're trying to figure we're trying to figure everything out right now. Cuz that's not about the That's So, See the bruises on her eye and everything like That's torture. Her eye is swollen. That's like You know any person that would walk into that robbery would have did way worse. Like, we would just They would try to lock Bree in the house. You know what I'm saying? That's the only reason why Sorry, are you Are you all family, too? >> Yeah, I'm her cousin. I think they was like they got baby, but like at the end of the day, like we're family at the end of the day. We be around Lay. We You know what I'm saying? That's just So, yeah, that's obviously the baby's going to go down and get medical attention immediately. >> Um right now, we're still figuring everything out. Um we're going to have um some juvenile detectives come out and respond. Um and then they'll probably take over the investigation from there. Okay. Okay. Um Did the Did mom go down with the baby? Yes, I'm about to go down there now. What's going on with With her? Um >> She's probably going to go to jail. Um Yeah. We are That was intentional. I'm sorry, but there's no way. There's no way. She can't even reach a stove. She's one. Like, come on. I have a baby. Nothing like that would happen. You know? That's just like I have a whole bunch of Nothing like that. This is some This is some like like some TV This is Like that's just going to be on the news. Like People just don't do this every day. Like they just be on some weird You know, weird [ __ ] Like I'm I'm not going to mean to use vulgar language, but it's just You got any questions? Wait. I wrote down my number. Like she lucky. She just lucky. I just knew that I knew better. Cuz at the end of the day, I am a professional. I'm allowed out my city. Yeah, I'm just I'm not going to get in trouble. You know, you know, like Yeah. I'm smarter than We um But I would definitely if I had to, like that's just I'm shaking right now. No, I understand. Um we just I mean, we don't want anybody to do anything that's going to get them in trouble. You know what I mean? No. And uh but right now The child came pretty quickly, so Yeah. And uh right now we're obviously baby's going to the hospital to get treatment, and we're going to have some detectives come out here right now to uh respond to the scene. So, uh we're going to go work this out. I'm going to go talk to these guys, and we'll go from there, all right? Okay. I tried to explain to all of them. I was at What? I don't know what happened. Mhm. And they got you. >> three girls come over here talking about what the [ __ ] y'all do. What do you mean what I do? I'm at work. Did she say anything about Yeah. something happening? >> her cousin who was here. Yeah. And uh Tell me to check the water temperature. Cuz our water it fluctuate. Mhm. You know what I mean? You get it at that certain temperature. And if you are up in the under the shower, it will generally get hot while you under there. Then you got to get up out of there. So, it flexed on you. Yeah. She didn't She didn't think to call or take her down to the the hospital? I mean, that's pretty substantial enough where it's pretty swelled up. >> That's That's why she's detained right now. Like it was I I understand everything because what y'all asked me, I was thinking the same whatever. I don't I don't know. I just don't know. Did you see the kid this way when you got home yesterday from work? When I got home from work yesterday, yeah. All right. You saw the kid like that? Yeah. Without asking? I called 911. You didn't think to called paramedics >> 911 Huh? I said you didn't think to call paramedics or anything either. >> I was stunned. You know what I mean? But wouldn't your first instinct be to hey, that this kid needs proper help? Well, I said something to her and she said she had called the hospital or whatever. They had told her what to do. So, I you know When I woke up this morning I mean, you put your cigarette out? I wasn't smoking. Okay, is it out? Okay. You set that stuff right there. Okay. Can I let my dog No, you're not.
