Law he's been pulled over twice for speeding in luxury cars on Florida highways on June 19th 2022 a Florida highway patrol officer clocked Mullins going 92 mph in a bright red Ferrari the officer pulled him over unaware of who he was take a listen to how calm and composed the officer remains while commissioner Mullen sounds well a bit entitled normally I give warnings I get breaks but it looks like you've been written a warning already um so I do issue the citation um with that being said it's going to be payable within 30 days uh three ways to take care of it I'm sorry run the county you run the county okay um but I I just have to explain your options I I don't want to I don't want any miscommunication so I just have to explain them okay um option one pay three points on the license um option number two I've highlighted them all for you um take the basic driver improvement courts that'll actually take the points off the license as long as you take it prior to uh paying the citation the third one you can also contestant court if you'd like to and uh and try to fight it that way okay our Trooper references another traffic stop from earlier in June where Mullins was pulled over in a 2018 Mercedes-Benz SUV for going 89 in a 60 MPH Zone a police report from that stop described Mullins as extremely condescending belligerent illogical and disrespectful during that encounter Mullins allegedly told the officer that arresting him would be a career-ending move fast forward two months and commissioner Mullins suffered a crushing defeat in the Republican primary losing by over 60% to his opponent we can't help but wonder if these police encounters played a role in his reelection bid [Applause] stop on Monday January 15th 2024 Flagler County deputies responded to a domestic weaving in and out of traffic2 Atlant 853 it's a blue I can't tell a Honda or small BMW as the suspect accelerated to high speeds Corporal Youngblood lost sight of the vehicle for the next 10 minutes he searched the area trying to locate the suspect just as he was about to call off the pursuit the suspect drove past him his car visibly damaged likely from a collision caused by his reckless driving
