All right, step out of the car. Nope. Nope. Stop. >> No, I don't feel safe. No. >> You're done? >> I'm done. >> OKAY. >> OH MY GOD. Oh my god, they have my bank card. They have my bank card. They took it out of my wallet. >> Some sovereign citizens treat every police encounter like a game they believe they can control. They argue, stall, and hide behind made-up theories, convinced officers will keep playing along. But that confidence disappears the moment real authority draws the line. These are the moments sovereign citizens realized cops weren't playing. It begins with a woman who develops delusions of grandeur after watching too many TikTok videos of sovereign citizens teaching how to deal with the police. >> Get their name and everything. Like I think [music] it's it seems like there's there's something wrong. >> Police received a call about a vehicle parked where it should not have been, but when officers arrived the concern quickly shifted from the parking violation itself to the condition of the woman inside, who appeared disoriented and possibly under the influence. >> What's going on? >> Oh, this is what's her name. She used to work up at Ocean Reef. >> What's your name? Do you need medical attention? Okay. You do any kind of drugs or anything? >> No. >> You're under the influence? >> No. >> Okay. >> You've been drinking? >> No. >> I see a bottle in the backseat. I see a bottle in the backseat. Yeah, I see two bottles actually. You just pointed that one out. Who were you here with? >> Huh? >> Who were you here with? >> Um no one. >> Do you know where you're at? Where? We came to check on you cuz you were passed out pretty hard. I had to grab you for you to wake up. Yeah. Yeah. Where do you live? I'm house searching right now, but I'm all right. Okay, so you live in your car? Yeah. Okay. Where were you coming from just now? Homestead. As they approached, officers found Shay asleep in the passenger seat and difficult to wake. And once she finally came around, the open containers in the car and her condition immediately raised more questions about how long she had been there and what state she was in. Under the influence, whether it's alcohol or what, but I can smell it on you. Really? Yeah. No, not under any influence. Okay. Um All right. Um I'm going to talk to you because Okay. What did you say? I was saying I was going to talk to her. Okay, talk to her. Um I'm not under any influence. Um Yeah. What's your name? What's your name? Your first name? Shay. Shay? Okay. Okay, talk to me. So, what's what's going on today? Um nothing much. Nothing, honestly. Um House searching Uh the guy I'm with is working right now. Where does he work at? He works on Ocean Reef. In Ocean Reef? Yeah. Okay. Yeah. So, I did park here and I did fall asleep. Um I mean, I I don't know I don't know how to make this easy. I just want to make it easy. I don't want to be in any >> Officers tried to keep the situation simple, making it clear she was not being accused of driving at that moment since the keys were not in the ignition. But even with that reassurance, every attempt to identify her turned into more hesitation, more delay, and more reasons not to move things forward. You were not caught behind the wheel of this car and the ignition's not in like the keys aren't in the ignition, but I need to see your ID cuz this is technically a legal camping. Now, it's not I'm just trying to identify you. I want to make sure you're not wanted or anything like that. Are you wanted? >> No. >> Okay. So, let me just get your license and >> No. >> We'll I'm not I have no intention to take you to jail. Right now, it's just you're sleeping in a car. You were sleeping really heavy. It seems like you're under the influence, but as far as me and my partner are concerned, we're just trying to like make sure you're good. >> Okay, can I leave? Can I leave? >> No. I I believe you're under the influence, so you definitely can't get behind the wheel of this car unless you're going to do some exercises. Right now Okay. Let's get your name. Let's get you identified. Remember how I just told you I just want to make sure you're not wanted or anything, okay? >> you just bear with me. >> I am. I am. I Look, you tell me that you're not wanted, I am inclined to believe you, but you would not believe how many people lie to us all the time, okay? >> honestly, I I yeah. >> Yeah. So, let me just Okay, spell your name for me and then we'll just run you through dispatch and we'll go from there, okay? >> Okay, this is where I want you to bear with me is I watch videos of people um people working in in Tik Tok, okay? >> Mhm. >> So, like I think when people give their name and everything like I think it's it seems like there's there's something wrong. All right. >> I just want to know who I'm talking to. You can relate to that, right? I watch the same Tik Tok videos you do, okay? >> Okay. >> But I I'm not trying to have like a back and forth with you, either, you know? Like >> need either and so like I just watch these videos where he's like, "I'm just practicing." And it doesn't do anything wrong. He's like, "I'm practicing." And cops and everybody >> of just handing over her identification, Shay began talking about videos she had seen online and the idea that refusing to identify yourself was somehow an exercise of your rights. And as that line of thinking took over the conversation, officers had to become much firmer about where the encounter was heading. >> Unless it's absolutely Ocean Reef making us do it. We came up here. You were passed out. We're making sure you're okay. Which you are, but we know you've been drinking. We're not going to let you drive away. But in the same instance, have respect for us. Give the nice lady that's standing next to you that you wanted to talk to your full name and your date of birth. Like I said, we're not taking you to jail. >> We have no intention to unless you're wanted and you're telling me you're not. So for me, if you're not going to give me your your name, then I'm like inclined to believe that you actually are wanted. You get that? >> Yeah. >> So look, I for if you come back valid and clear, your license, I'm happy to I'll consult my partner here, but if you want to take a continue to take your nap here, I don't really have an issue with it. I don't want you to get behind the wheel and turn the ignition on, okay? Cuz I believe you are under the influence. So I would not, but my my judgment right now, the way you're talking, the bottles on the ground that are open. I mean, these are open containers, like kind of all that stuff, are technically like these are infractions and you know, so I don't want you to drive away. I want to identify you to know who I'm speaking with and then I'll go on my merry way and then we'll all just have a good rest of your night cuz you're waiting for your the guy you're talking to to get off at 8, right? Okay, so it's that easy. >> Okay. >> I'm really I'm not trying to like make this difficult with you. I'm just trying to like ID you. Cuz you see on Tik Tok, you see on Tik Tok the same Tik Tok sites I see. So you would understand from my side how important it is to know who I'm speaking with. I'm just trying to make sure you're not wanted. I do not I do not care if you want to rest here until your boyfriend gets off or your your guy you're talking >> Even then, they stayed calm and kept trying to de-escalate, explaining again and again that they were not trying to make the situation worse for her. But after more than a dozen minutes of back and forth, the repeated refusals left them with less and less room to keep treating it informally. >> I'm actually trying to go home. So can you do me the favor and just give me your ID so I can just go? I would like to go to sleep. >> I just I I I feel I feel pressured. Extremely. So. I don't know. I just I feel it I feel it extremely hard. >> Okay, let me get your ID. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> But can we >> Just let me see the ID. I will let you do >> You >> go about your way by continuing to nap here as soon as I get your ID. But the thing is, Shay, >> What? >> we're trained in police work to ask, tell, and then make. So if I have to ask you more than two more times, I'm going to have to detain you. Like put you in handcuffs until we get you identified cuz then you're refusing to identify yourself with a lawful order. And that's where the Tik Tok stuff comes into play, okay? So if you just give me your ID, we're going to run you. >> Okay. >> Are you wanted? >> No. >> Okay, then what's the issue? >> No. >> Shay, so what is it? But you're trying to defend yourself right now? Is the day that you've decided to take the Tik Tok sovereign citizen stuff and go about it? Come on. I watched the exact same videos. >> want you to bear with me. >> I am. We have been. We've been here for 13 minutes talking to you, okay? 13 minutes is way too long. If I was out with anybody else, I I would have a 100%. >> me? >> I need your ID. I'm really not trying to >> detain me? >> If you don't give me your ID, I'm going to have to detain you. Yes. So, can you please just make it easier for everybody? >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Call my dad. >> You can call your dad, but also work on your ID. >> Okay. >> When officers continued trying to explain it in the simplest terms possible, Shay responded by saying they were pressuring her. And instead of resolving the issue, she shifted into calling her father and trying to bring someone else into a situation that still depended on one thing she had not done. >> Hey Brian, it's Deputy Smith with the Monroe County Sheriff's Office. How are you? >> Hello. >> I am simply trying to identify your daughter, Shay. Um we've talked for a little bit now. We've been out here for about 14 minutes just trying to get her ID and make sure she's not wanted or has any warrants. >> Yeah, unless you have a She under suspicion? Is she being detained? >> Yes. She's She was passed out asleep in the passenger seat. The car The car keys are not in the ignition, so she is not behind the wheel, but she is under the influence and completely asleep in the passenger side. This is considered illegal camping. She has multiple open containers inside of the vehicle. I am simply trying to identify her. She can continue her nap in this passenger seat until 8:00 p.m., but I need to identify her to make sure she's not wanted verification to do it. So, if she's not going to provide me her ID, she's going to get detained. >> Okay. Um let me Uh what's the statute so I can verify it? Statute for illegal camping, being asleep in the car? >> You can >> Cuz I don't think sleeping in your car is illegal. >> It is, sir. It's prohibited in Monroe County unless it's a marked campground. So, you can Google the Monroe County ordinances and violations and you will find the illegal camping >> by by Monroe County because uh I don't think being asleep in your car is definitely a crime. >> 7115, can you find the RO's information and add her to the call screen? >> This is over night kind of thing. So, I think we need to talk to the supervisor to find out >> No problem. >> Yep, he said no problem. >> That's fine. I'll get this I'll get the sergeant in touch with you, sir. >> number? >> 7115 >> 7115 >> Okay, let's get the supervisor. >> But when her father got on the phone, he began questioning the officers and debating the meaning of illegal camping. And once it became clear that the conversation was only pushing the situation further off track, officers ended the back and forth and physically removed her from the vehicle. >> Going to step out, we're going to make it easy. We're going to make it easy. We're going to let go of the phone. We're going to make it easy, okay? >> to videotape them. >> No, okay. You're going to You're not. >> Yeah, I am. >> You're not, Shay. We're going to get out of the car. Stop. >> Please stop. >> Stop. >> What am I doing wrong? >> 7115 >> What am I doing wrong? >> 7115 >> You're refusing to identify yourself. >> 7115 >> And that's a law? >> Yes. >> In the state of Florida it is. >> asked multiple times. I'm sure if I go back on my body camera that inevitably your dad will look for, I asked you to identify yourself at least 20 times. At least 20. >> May I grab my Can you grab my flip flops? >> We will grab your flip flops for you. >> Can you grab my >> Yes, I will help you out in a second. Just give me a For what? I pulled you out of the car cuz you were resist You're pulling against me. >> No. >> Yes. >> I just want to call my dad. >> Yeah, we let you call your dad. >> I know, and now I can't videotape. I can't do this. >> Well, this is being videotaped on my chest, Shay. You guys can pull it. It's public record. >> flip flops >> Okay, I don't really understand why. >> What do you want me to like me to do? >> Do me a favor and step >> how the airport does it. >> Turn and face the car, okay? I'm I'm double I'm going to ask you again, do you have anything that's going to pickpocket sick me? >> Okay. >> Where are you going to take me away? You can take me away right now. >> Lean forward. Lean forward your front half cuz I need to shake out and make sure your bra doesn't have any drugs or anything like that. >> Absolutely. You are the softest. I appreciate you. >> Okay. >> She was initially charged with disorderly intoxication, resisting an officer without violence, and DUI, although the resisting and DUI counts were later dismissed, and the disorderly intoxication charge ended with a no contest plea and withheld adjudication. Next is the delusional woman who relies on the Bible to evade police investigation. >> As soon as I get any sign of anxiety, I don't want it. >> On Tuesday, May 6th, 2025 in Lauderdale Lakes, Florida, an officer stopped a woman driving on a suspended license, and what should have been a routine citation quickly became more difficult once she refused to treat it like one. >> Where is my insurance? >> Your insurance is suspended. >> Oh, really? I don't know. I was late on it. One month. >> So, you got the notice that said your license could be suspended or not? So, go ahead. >> I don't know, yeah. Not yet cuz I've been battling a case for my grandma. >> Mhm. >> Like before she passed or after she passed. Anyway, I kind of made this like for my 26th court. >> I'll be right back, okay? >> After the officer returned with the ticket, he explained that signing it was not an admission of guilt, only a promise to appear in court. But instead of moving forward, she kept circling back to questions about the fine and whether she could wait for her mother before signing. >> I got that news for you. >> Okay. >> Yeah. >> All right, your license is suspended. You already know that. So. >> I was I just came from whole county yesterday. I had to bury my daughter. >> Okay. >> I came from whole county yesterday. They sent her up there to put my daughter up there. away. We had a funeral for her. >> All right, ma'am. Your license is suspended. Your license is suspended. So, it's going to be You're going to have to go to court, which is June 10th, 2025, okay? I forgot the name of the place. >> When did I have a suspended license? Like >> That was in April, April 7th. >> From there, the stop shifted further away from the citation itself, as she began saying she did not feel comfortable, asked for another officer, and tried to slow the process down by setting her own conditions for what would happen next. >> I don't know the price of the ticket. >> No, I don't. >> Last time I did it. >> I want to know how much >> I have to tell you if you don't sign this ticket, you will be going to jail, okay? >> I'm going to wait till my mom gets here. >> What? >> I'm going to wait till my mom gets here. >> You're going to wait until your mom gets here to do what? >> To sign. >> To sign it? All right. Pull over to me on that document. Your mom don't have no say on this. >> I know, but I'm not meant to be stable right now. My grandma just passed away. She's the one that raised me. I I need my mom's. >> Okay. How long is your mom going to be out there waiting for you? >> Like 10 minutes. >> So, you want me to wait 10 minutes for your mom to get here? >> Yeah, I think >> Yeah, I think. What you want to do? You want me to sign it? >> So, you're going to let me drive off with a power of suspended license? Okay, so we have to wait for my mom, right? >> The car is getting towed. That's right. >> We're going to wait on my mom. She's going to come pick me up. >> No, no, the car is getting towed. Your mom is getting towed. >> you Can you ask Hold on. Um I'm going to call my ex-husband, cuz he's a police officer, and then I'm going to get right back to you. >> Ma'am, listen. >> One moment, please. >> Okay. >> He He right He lives right down the >> Let me get the license first. >> I said wait. >> Let me get the problem out. >> If you ask for your supervisor, I need somebody else out here. I don't like the tone of your voice and you're making me feel You're making me feel uncomfortable. I'm a child of God and I don't play these type of >> I'll tell you that. I'll tell >> Even after being told repeatedly that the signature was only procedural, she continued refusing to make a decision and what had started as a suspended license stop was now turning into a refusal to comply with a lawful order. >> I mean, they're going to call another officer out here or I'm going to wait for my mom to come. >> That's it. This is your option to sign. >> I don't feel comfortable. I'm not going to be I'm not going to sign anything under pressure. I'm not going to do that. >> You can refuse to sign the ticket. >> I'm not refusing. I said I'm going to wait till another officer gets out here while I'm waiting on my mother. Any officer that you call, I don't mind if it's your friend. Call somebody else out here. I'm not signing it till I have somebody else. I'm going to wait for you. >> for what? >> I want I want to be comfortable. I don't feel comfortable right now. I feel like I'm under pressure. I shouldn't be under The Bible says I can't be under any I The Bible tells me that I'm not supposed to be under any anxiety. As soon as I get any type of anxiety, I don't want it. I'm going to wait till another person comes out here. >> 51051. >> Thank you. >> We got a 94. >> I'm sorry, tonight? >> We got a 94 this. >> Dispatch, we're disregarding a 284 51051 8400 block of El Camino. >> So, instead of taking you to jail, I'm giving you a ticket to go to court. Now, you you're making this worse than what it is. But you're an adult. Your mom have nothing to >> I've never signed a ticket before. I don't feel safe. It's okay if I'm able to call somebody else for advice. That's okay. I don't have the mental stability right now. >> Let me get the car keys. Can I get the car keys? >> No. I'll turn my car on, but I'm not giving you the >> Let me get the car keys. >> I said no. I said I'm going to wait till another officer comes out. That doesn't make any sense. I just bought this car but I'm not leaving right now. >> You're not losing your car. Your car is getting towed. You cannot >> I don't have money to tow it. My mom is coming and she has a license. >> is not taking the car. >> Yes, she is. And I want another officer out here cuz I don't like the tow me away. >> You don't like that. >> As the back and forth continued, the officer gave her a final direction to step out. But when she still would not go along with it, the encounter moved out of the citation stage and into an arrest. >> Nope. Nope. >> No, I don't FEEL SAFE. NO. NO. >> STOP. YOU'RE UNDER ARREST. STEP OUT OF THE CAR. >> I don't want to go to an accident. >> STEP OUT OF THE CAR. >> NO, I DON'T FEEL SAFE. >> TURN YOUR PHONE STEP out of the car. You're under arrest. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. Step out of the car. >> I feel safe. >> Step out of the car. >> Don't touch me. >> Step out of the car. Step out OF THE CAR. >> [screaming] [screaming] >> STEP OUT OF THE CAR. STEP OUT OF THE CAR. STEP OUT OF THE CAR. >> SHE WAS CHARGED WITH NON-VIOLENT RESISTANCE, driving with a suspended license, and refusal to sign the citation. Upon successful completion of a court-ordered misdemeanor diversion program, the charges would be dismissed or not pursued. Next, the dumb woman chose to believe her husband and defy the police, receiving a harsh lesson. >> Listen to your husband. He's giving you bad information. >> This thing was four negative on there. >> On April 6th, 2026, an officer in Lake Stevens, Washington, stopped a driver because his vehicle registration sticker had expired. The driver's subsequent attitude actually made things more complicated. >> Expired 2024. Any reason they're so far expired? >> No, sir. I'm going to videotape this for my safety. >> Great. I am, too. I need your driver's license, registration, and insurance, please. I need your driver's license, registration, and insurance, please. It's a lawful stop. You are required to identify yourself with all three documents. Traffic infraction and now it's a lawful detention. Now you need to give me your driver's license, registration, and your insurance. Are you going to provide me with your driver's license, registration, and insurance? >> I'm not traveling. I'm traveling. >> Great. That's awesome. I need your driver's license, registration, and your insurance. >> I'm not. I'm not. >> It is obstruction for you not to provide that information for me. >> I'm not doing anything wrong. >> Didn't ask. I need your driver's license, registration, and insurance. Need to identify yourself. Driver's license, registration, and insurance. When my sergeant gets here, if you're not going to comply with that, we're going to break the window and pull >> approach, officers requested valid documents from the driver, who appeared confused. Another officer then arrived and calmly attempted to de-escalate the situation to resolve it quickly. >> I'm Sergeant Heineman. So, failing to ID is going to get you in jail. >> I'm traveling, officer. >> Okay. You're going to be traveling to jail if you don't identify yourself. Okay. So, driving is a privilege, not a right, and you have to identify yourself. And and you have to identify yourself, or you're going to end up in jail for failing to identify. All right, it's a misdemeanor. So, either we can break this pretty little window, or you can provide some sort of identification to my partner here. And you can claim to sue. You can try to sue. Or I can break the window, we can pull you out, and go you to jail. The crime is failing to identify, like I just explained. It's a misdemeanor, and it's going to end up with you in in if you don't do that. So, this is your last chance or else we're going to go that route. >> What are you doing? Have you provided my partner with identification? No. So, failing to identify is that RCW and that's the misdemeanor. And I can give you a business card if you want so you can stop Huh? Okay. So, hop out of the car and we'll we'll cross that bridge when you want it. >> The driver refused to provide identification claiming she was traveling rather than driving. This behavior reflected typical sovereign citizen style arguments. Then, she made things worse when she called her husband for advice. >> I can't hear if you're thinking I'm listening to whoever's talking on the phone. Okay. So, I can't hear him if you're You have. Failing to identify is that crime. You're you're going to be traveling to jail. You're failing to identify. It's a misdemeanor. I provided you ample warnings to get out of the car and to cooperate and you're not doing so. So, if you're listening to your husband, he's giving you bad information. 133. You just took down my whole name. So, you can tell your husband that I don't want to break your window. It is. You see the red light there? That is recording. Yeah. Your husband's not here and he's not the reason why we're pulling you over. I'm going to give you one last chance to cooperate and if you don't, then the window's going to get broken and I'm going to we're going to end up taking you to jail. If he's talking to expect me to listen to him, I cannot hear him. Okay. So, ma'am, I'm going to explain to you one more time. If you do not cooperate, you're going to end up going to jail failing to identify. Failing to identify yourself on a legal traffic stop is a misdemeanor crime. I'm going to end up breaking your window. The car is going to end up getting towed. You're going to end up in jail. I need to provide Give me identification. And you can go ahead and roll the window all the way down. You can go ahead and hang up the phone, too, because you're an adult. You can handle this by yourself without your husband. >> Her husband gave her truly terrible advice by insisting she hadn't done anything wrong. The kind officer reminded her that siding with her husband would be a mistake. But she chose to believe him, and the decisive police officer immediately removed her from the vehicle. >> You done? >> I'm done. >> Okay. Got her in the car. It's 1941, resisting. Let's put four negative on there. >> I'm at the Arco on 9. I 9. Where are you taking me, sir? >> Jail. >> Where? Which one? >> We'll We'll tell you in a second. You're the adult. We'll talk to you. You're here. >> and my purse. >> Do you give me permission to access your vehicle to get your phone and your purse? >> I do give you permission >> Didn't ask for that. >> I would like my purse and my phone here. >> is why I'm talking to you, ma'am. If you give me permission to get these things for you, I will happily do so. >> I would like I give you permission to get my phone and my purse and back back, please. >> Say one more time. >> I give you permission to get my phone and my purse and back back. It's on the on the dashboard. Yep. >> You can hang out here so you can watch what I'm doing for you, okay? Phone, I'm giving it to my partner, and what else? Gray bag, black bag? >> Black bag. That black bag, and then I have a green purse. >> Black bag, green purse. Okay, is there anything valuable in this backpack because the jail might not take that cuz it's too large. >> Okay, just my green purse then. >> Uh It's the floorboard? >> Yeah, it it might have fallen down. Yeah, it's kind of >> go around to the other side so I don't have to climb over? >> but you might need to unlock >> It looks unlocked. Let's walk you over there. >> Okay. Okay. >> The illusion quickly collapsed as officers smashed the car window, officially bringing her freedom to an end. Once she was handcuffed, her attitude shifted completely, becoming unexpectedly compliant. >> I don't think so. All right, I'm going to just take the hat off, make sure nothing in here. All right, back of my hand. >> have my belt my belt back on, please? >> I didn't take Oh, the moving belt? >> Yeah. >> Um once we get through with this. Um okay, is it a regular bra or sports bra? Like this? >> Um regular bra. >> Okay. All right, so back of my hand. >> Okay, but do you want it splayed out of your way at all, the hat? I like it kind of um splayed in the back and coming forward in my hood. Just like when I'm wearing a hood. Does that make sense? Like kind of part it in the back and bring some hair forward on my right, hair forward on my left, and then I push my hood up. Other side? And then kind of scrunch my hood up a little bit. There you go. >> Okay. >> $16 in cash. >> Okay, great. >> Okay. Go right over this way. >> Take good care of my items. >> Um yeah, I mean, we're going to have the car towed. Is that what you're asking? >> No, I mean my my my >> Of your purse? Yeah, everything that can go with you is going to go with you to the jail, and then they'll book it in there. >> Yeah, they're tight, actually. >> Are they Can they >> They're way too tight. They're very tight. >> Let me kind of see. So, I can get my whole finger through here, and that means it >> on this side? Cuz this side is >> Yep, same. Same. So, maybe if you rotate your wrist, um cuz I they're they're in oval shape. >> Okay. He'll be with you in just a second. >> The suspect faces charges for driving with expired tags, obstructing justice, and resisting arrest. Next, the driver's stubbornness made the traffic check even worse. >> You want to make this worse? >> I'm I'm sorry. >> You're going to make this worse. You're going to You're going to wait make this worse, all right? >> On May 12th, 2025, officers initiated a traffic stop after detecting a suspended registration. The driver immediately challenges the reason for the stop and disputes the officer's claim. >> Your license plates are suspended. >> Central 322 That's false. >> That is. My license plate is not suspended, sir. >> Okay. Your license plates are suspended. That's the reason I'm stopping you. >> It's possible because I just >> Give your driver's license and proof of insurance. >> Sir, can you Can you show me? Cuz I literally >> No, I'm not showing you. Do you have your driver's license and proof of insurance? >> Yeah, I'm looking at it. I'm sorry, sir, but I need proof that I actually got my license plate. >> don't. That's not how it works. That isn't how it works. >> I literally checked with the DMV. >> I'm stopping you, and may I see your license and proof of insurance? >> I'm good. That's false, though. >> Except for 31. I'm tagging another car over here. >> May I Can I call a supervisor? >> No. Give me your license and proof of insurance. >> May I May I please have a supervisor, please? >> No, absolutely not. >> By law, you cannot You can't You cannot deny >> the No, No, I absolutely can. There's no law that states you get to request a supervisor, and that you'll be given one. >> Well, >> In fact, the law actually says that when I ask for your driver's license, you are to produce that driver's license and proof of insurance, of which you are not doing. >> But, also, you also said that my driver my is suspended. >> Your license plate has been suspended, that's correct. >> Impossible. >> It's not impossible. >> Cuz I literally just came from the DMV the other day. >> Okay. >> So if you tell the the DMV that literally said my license is good, and now you're telling me it's false, that's impossible cuz I literally just checked with the Illinois. >> Okay. >> They would have told me that at the DMV. >> Go ahead and get your driver's license and proof of insurance. From the very beginning, the man showed a clear unwillingness to cooperate, repeatedly citing Illinois state laws to justify his claims. However, he was operating under a major misunderstanding. >> Supervisor. Hand over your license and your proof of insurance. Roll this back window down. >> There's nothing in my car, so I'm sorry, but >> Okay, roll this back window down. >> There's really nothing in my car, but I'm a sovereign citizen. >> Roll the window all the way down. >> I need a supervisor. >> All the way down. >> a supervisor, sir. >> You're not getting a supervisor, okay? >> Okay, but that's by Okay, that's I don't know why you're saying by law, but I understand the I understand the law, so >> The law is that when I conduct a traffic stop and you're pulled over by a police officer, and they ask for your identification, your driver's license >> That's true. >> and proof of insurance, you are to produce those documents. >> And that's true, and I do have my right to ask you why you pulled me over, and you pulled me over say state the >> And I told you >> That's not true because I literally just came from the DMV the other day, and they told me that they told me my my license was good. >> Okay, well >> I literally just got my license good like a month ago. >> and I'm asking for your driver's license and your proof of insurance, okay? >> and I'm grateful >> You don't seem to understand it because you're not giving it to me. You're not giving it >> I do understand, and I get it, but the fact that you're telling me something that's not true because I literally just came from the place that told me my license was good. >> Well, we'll get there. >> So you're trying to say >> the time to do it. The time is to give me your license >> I already got there. I went to the DMV. I got there already. You're telling me a false statement, sir. >> It's not a false statement. Even if it is a false statement, that's this isn't the way to go about it. I'm asking for your license and your proof of insurance. >> So it's okay to run my tags cuz that's illegal. >> run any vehicle's tags on the road. That's correct. >> Okay, and that says it's suspended, right? >> Yep. >> My state license is suspended, even though I literally just checked with the DMV the other day, and they said I was good. >> Jabari, the driver, immediately pushed back, insisting the officers were wrong and claiming he had just left the DMV a few days earlier, where he was told everything was in order. He then escalated into a drawn-out, pointless argument over traffic law semantics. >> Oh, oh, they're they're looking at my license, but if you check my plate already, then you would already Oh. >> If I checked your plate, what? >> okay. You ran my tags, but you would have understood that my license my license is suspended. My plates can't be suspended. My license can't is suspended. >> So, your license is suspended. >> cuz I just went to the bro. >> For your license or your license plates? >> Plates can't The license can be suspended, not the plates, dude, because the plates can be expired, but not >> License plates can get suspended. They can be suspended. >> means your license your license, what you have in your hand right now, can be suspended, not the plate. >> No, the plate can be suspended. >> That means I >> of State can suspend your plates. Yes. >> But that means I I wouldn't have been able to get my emissions test passed or even get my put my put my registration done if it was suspended, but it did. >> Well, I don't know when those things occurred in relation to the suspension of the >> my tags just right there. It's literally a sticker that says that. I don't understand. >> Well, you could have had the plate updated prior to the suspension. >> Honestly. I really don't get it. And you're checking my license. What's What's he saying? That's what I just want to know. What is he saying to me? >> Okay. Can you Can you step out of the car for me? >> For what? >> Cuz your driver's license is suspended. >> My license is not suspended. I I'm just trying to tell you that. And you can't verify that, bro? Is there like somebody I can call? >> No, there's nobody you can call. Step out of the car. >> Bro, you're trying to pull me out of my car for something I didn't do. >> pulling you out of the car. I'm asking you to exit the car >> god. >> of your own free will. >> Oh my god. >> He tried to sound knowledgeable by correcting the officer, arguing that license plates can only be expired, not suspended, and that only driver's licenses can be suspended. Cornered, he then switched tactics and demanded to speak to a supervisor. >> No, I need a supervisor. I'm sorry, I need a supervisor. >> You're not getting a supervisor. >> I need a supervisor. I'm sorry. >> No. >> I can't say anything else. But But I like I mean I cannot say anything else, but I I really need a supervisor right now. This is This is not right. >> No, you're not getting a supervisor. >> This is not right, sir. >> No. What's not right about it? >> This isn't right. >> Step out. >> This isn't right. >> Exit the vehicle, Jabari, or you're going to be under arrest, okay? Exit the vehicle. Exit the vehicle. >> Why am I being Why am I Why am I being >> Okay, you're under arrest. You're under arrest. Get out of the car. >> Why? >> If you don't get out of the car now, you're going to be charged with resisting arrest. >> I got it. >> Now you're just under arrest for driving on a suspended license, okay? Do you want to make it resisting? >> my plate was a suspended >> Your license was suspended. Step out of the car. Exit the car. >> Can I get a supervisor? >> arrest. >> it Is it my right to get a supervisor? >> You're under arrest. Jabari. You're under arrest for driving on a suspended license. >> I don't have a I literally just came from the DMV, and they said I was good. Do I have >> Exit the vehicle. >> Can I ask a question? Can I ask a question? >> No. >> Can I ask a question? >> Your license is suspended. You're under arrest. Get out of the car. >> You need to get out of the car. >> Get out of the car. >> But isn't it my right to ask for a supervisor? >> No. >> You need to get out of the car. >> Exit the vehicle. >> Can I ask Is it my right to ask for a supervisor? >> now. >> I just asked for one earlier. >> He gave you a command to get get out of the car. >> But that you you just >> You're adding charges right now. >> Sir, sir, can I ask Can >> You're adding charges right now. >> But I didn't do anything. I'm sitting here. >> Look, exit the vehicle. >> license. He got my information. >> I understand that. >> He's still standing here. What did I do? >> Right, because he told you you're under arrest. You need to step out of the car. >> He just said that because he's still standing here. I gave him my information. >> Listen. >> Okay. >> You are under arrest. >> No, I gave him my information. >> You're You're going to make You're going to make this worse. You're under arrest. You're going to make this worse. You're going to You're going to make make this worse, right? You're going to make this worse. You don't want to make this >> Javari repeatedly interrupted the officer and demanded a supervisor be called to the scene, believing he was legally entitled to it. After a prolonged exchange, officers lost patience and proceeded to arrest him. >> Out of the car. >> Officer, no, nobody's listening to me. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> No, bro, I want I want to talk I want to talk to him. I want to talk to >> Just stop. Just stop. What's up? >> I don't want him on me, bro. No, I don't want him on me. Bro, I don't want him on me. I don't want him on me. No, I don't want him on me, bro. He He not He not doing it. He got I gave him my information and he didn't go through his car. And I asked him for a supervisor and doing everything. Bro, he just really No, bro, this is wrong. This is wrong, bro. This is wrong. You said I couldn't ask for a supervisor right now. Understand. I asked for one when he got here because he said something that's false. He said my plate was suspended. And then I'm saying, "Oh, no, your license is only suspended." I just came from the DMV and they said I was good. >> Come back. Come back. Take a few steps over. >> Oh my god, the reason why he's doing this is because he saw my void card. Oh man, that's crazy. >> You need to spread your feet. >> Bro, that's crazy, bro. You doing this because you saw my void card. I mean, you are crazy. No, no, no, no, no, no, that's crazy. That's what Well, why are you checking me then? >> Because you're under arrest. >> For what? >> It's called search incident. >> No, no, for what? Can I have proof? >> Spread your legs. >> Can I have proof that my license was suspended? >> You can get that at the station. >> Why am I going to the station, though? >> Because it's a class A misdemeanor. >> But I literally just came from the DMV, bro. Can I I just want to prove cuz I just came from the DMV. >> This one? >> He opened Can Can Can I call my window? >> No, I can't touch your car. >> Sir, before my window? >> We'll get you buckled in. >> Okay, but you >> phone, your wallet, anything else? >> just asked me if I have anything else. >> Your phone, your wallet, anything else? >> No, I'm good. >> Wait, wait. Sit. Man, no. >> The man was taken into custody and charged with driving while license suspended and resisting a peace officer. But the madness didn't end there. This aggressive woman proves that resisting the police is a bad idea. >> Hey! I'M IN MY SEATBELT! >> [screaming] >> I'M IN MY SEATBELT, BRO! HEY! >> On January 7th, 2024, police stopped a car for not having its headlights on. The driver started with a defiant attitude, which only made the situation worse. >> Headlights on. >> They on. >> Now they're on. >> Okay. >> So, what What was all that stuff that you're dumping out over more than >> No, a straw. That's it. >> There's more than that. >> That was only a straw. I didn't dump nothing out of this. You want to check? >> Well, it's already all over the road now, so >> It's not all over the road. That did not come from my car. >> Hey, watch it. You >> You did not watch me. I didn't have anything I'm not even finna argue with you. >> Okay. You got a license? >> I do. >> You got insurance? >> I do. >> What about you, man? >> it right now. >> You got a license on you? >> Mhm? >> You got a license on you? >> What do I need a license for? >> Where you come from? >> Chicago. >> Where you headed to? >> Kansas to drop off >> my son. >> All right. This immediately raised serious suspicions, especially as she later responded to officers with clear anger and hostility. >> Step out of the car for me. >> I'm not stepping out of the car. I didn't do anything. >> Go ahead and step out of the car for me. >> Why does she have to step >> Why do I have TO STEP OUT THE CAR, BRO? >> Cuz it's a traffic stop. We can ask you to get out anytime we want to. So, step out of the car. >> First name white spelling. >> Get out or we're going to >> I'm GETTING NO, YOU'RE NOT GOING TO PULL ME OUT. I DON'T HAVE NOTHING BUT a lighter and You're always giving me a hard time for talking to you. I HAD ON MY SEATBELT. YOU DIDN'T EVEN GIVE ME A CHANCE TO UNLOCK MY SEATBELT. >> WE GAVE YOU A CHANCE TO >> Face the car. >> Quit yelling. >> Quit talking to me like I'm crazy. THAT'S WHY Y'ALL FEEL STUPID CUZ I AIN'T GOT [ __ ] BRO, could you stop pulling on me? >> Quit walking away from me. >> I'M NOT WALKING AWAY. THEY JUST >> I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY JUST DID. >> Put her in the car and go. >> The driver is placed outside the vehicle and argues about how she was treated. Officers explain she was removed due to non-compliance during a lawful traffic stop, but then she continued the classic argument in the car. >> Put your feet in the car and go. >> I didn't do anything. >> Okay. Both we asked you to step out of the car. >> He was talking to me crazy. You wasn't even here to witness WHAT HE JUST SAID TO ME. >> OKAY. >> WHY Y'ALL NOT GOING TO CHECK HIM? >> What did he do? >> He came up to the CAR AND TALKING CRAZY. HE NOT HE ASKED ME WHAT DID you throw out the window? I SAID I ROLLED UP HIS SON'S WINDOW. >> OKAY. WELL, put your feet in the car and have a seat. Our lieutenant is on scene and he'll talk to you better, okay? >> This is something >> We're going to figure it all out, okay? >> CAN I GET MY CAN I GET MY WALLET? CAN Y'ALL GET MY GUY MY STUFF? >> YEAH, your wallet's in the back of your car. I said >> NO, IT'S NOT. IT'S ON THE GROUND. >> NO, I PICKED IT UP AND SET IT ON THE BACK of your car, I promise. I can see it from here. Okay. >> All units on the lieutenant's channel for traffic. >> I can't even think. I'm confused ON HOW I GOT BACK HERE. >> WELL, you're only back here now cuz we asked you multiple times to get out of the car. >> He didn't ask me no multiple times. How you not Y'all not even going to check y'all own people for talking to me crazy? >> Right now they're >> He asked the question and I gave him the right answer. Then he talking about some I'MMA PULL IT UP on camera like he threatening us. >> Okay. >> All we did was grab food. You didn't have to grab me OUT THE CAR LIKE THAT. I WAS GETTING OUT OF THE CAR. >> YOU WEREN'T. >> I WAS. I WAS LETTING OUT >> OKAY. >> LETTING OUT >> SO, ARE YOU saying you didn't throw anything out of the car? >> throw anything. I told him what I threw out the car, which was a straw. That was it. That was all. It was a beaten up straw by the dog. That's it. That's all. I didn't have nothing else. I even told him he could check my car, but then he started talking crazy. >> Okay. >> It's the principle of the matter. AIN'T NOBODY TRYING TO DISRESPECT NOBODY OUT HERE. >> OKAY. >> It didn't have to be no three four cars for for little old us. >> When another officer arrived to speak with her, she immediately opened with the familiar claim of people who refuse to accept responsibility that she had done nothing wrong. She even accused the other officers of making things up and insisted she was owed an apology. >> I'm just telling you why >> I need an apology. >> why so many people pulled up here. Okay. And now you're not being arrested or anything right now. You just You're just sitting here in the back of the car. Okay. I know he asked you to get out. I asked you to get out. You were questioning why you had to get out. I told you it's a traffic stop. If we tell you to get out, you have to get out. That is the law. >> And I said, "Let me take off my seat belt." I said that twice. >> Okay. Well, after we were already pulling out of the car. >> NO. I SAID THAT BEFORE HE BEFORE HE BEFORE YOU WALKED UP. >> OKAY. OKAY. But >> So, and now I'm the bad guy. >> We'll have it all figured out shortly, okay? >> Well, shortly ain't enough, bro. >> Okay. Is it Nadia? >> Yes, it is. >> Okay. So, I'm going to I'm going to talk to you real quick. I'm going to read you your Miranda Rights, okay? So, here's your cards. >> What am I What I'm confused. What's going on? >> See, you're being arrested for Okay. The reason for that is because when we asked you to get out of the car, you refused and you you resisted us with the getting out of the car. Okay. >> So, you're going to sit. All I want you to know, this all I'mma to You will reap what you sow, bro. >> Naw, you. Watch your mouth. >> So, I'mma read you your rights, okay? Before asking you any questions, it's my duty to advise you of your constitutional rights. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can be used against you in the court of law or other proceedings. You have the right to a lawyer for advice before you ask any questions and have them with you during questioning. If you cannot afford a lawyer, one will be appointed to represent you before any questioning if you wish. You can decide at any time to exercise these rights and not answer any questions or make any statements. Do you understand these constitutional rights I advised you of? Do you understand these rights? >> Yes. >> Of course, the police insisted she didn't deserve an apology because she had acted to destroy evidence. It was clear she never wanted to cooperate or respect the law. Then Marinda's testimony was read and she tried to deny it, but only became more desperate. >> I'm telling YOU I DON'T SMOKE CIGARETTES. I'M 31 YEARS OLD, NEVER SMOKED A SQUARE IN MY LIFE. >> I DON'T I DON'T KNOW YOU. I don't know >> And I don't know you. >> So. >> So, you're assuming THAT I SMOKE CIGARETTES AND I'M TELLING YOU I DON'T. I JUST TOLD YOU MY WHOLE HEALTH HISTORY. I DON'T HAVE A REASON TO LIE TO YOU. I DON'T SMOKE CIGARETTES. AND I ASKED YOU, WHAT DID YOU SEE ON CAMERA? YOU TRIED TO ASK ME WHAT DID I THROW OUT THE WINDOW? I TOLD YOU A STRAW. >> BECAUSE when we watch the camera, a straw did not come out of your car. A cigarette. >> came out of my car. If we want to be technical, not no cigarette. I don't smoke squares. NOBODY IN MY CAR SMOKES SQUARES. I SMOKE BLACK & MILDS. YES, BLACK & MILDS. WAS IT A BLACK? NO. >> OKAY. SO, you're saying nothing CAME OUT >> NOTHING OUTSIDE OF A STRAW. THAT'S ALL I THREW. THAT'S THE LAST THING I HAD IN MY HAND. I DON'T HAVE A REASON TO LIE TO YOU. >> WHEN DID YOU THROW THAT? >> I threw it OUT WHEN WE PULLED OUT OF TACO BELL. >> THAT'S IT? >> THAT'S IT. >> OKAY. >> WHERE'S THE LIEUTENANT? >> HE'S THE ONE THAT just talked to you. >> Well, I need to talk to him again cuz I'm confused. >> Okay, so >> You telling ME YOU SAW CIGARETTES. YOU CAN SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT. I'M TELLING YOU THE GOD HONEST TRUTH. NEVER SMOKED A SQUARE IN MY >> SHE WAS charged with littering, an equipment requirement violation, and resisting a peace officer. The next dumb woman followed it up with shouting nonsense in a full breakdown. >> NOW I'M TRESPASSING. I WAS NOT trespassing on the force. >> On January 9th, 2024, officers responded to a city hall in Florida after staff reported a disruptive woman causing a disturbance. >> Please lower your voice. >> YOU'RE POLICE OFFICERS HARASSING ME on the force and I haven't been able to get any >> WHY ARE YOU >> RECOURSE. BECAUSE I'M RICH. OH, NO. YOU HAVE TO PHYSICALLY REMOVE ME BECAUSE MY VOICE IS NOT being heard. I'm not now I'm trespassing. I WAS NOT TRESPASSING on the force. >> I don't know why you're yelling. It's too early for this. Come here. Come on. You're going to We'll take We'll take you. Thanks. Don't worry about it. You have a seat right here, okay? You have stuff in your hands? Can I take that? Just the cards? >> Instead of leaving, she immediately launched into complaints about previous encounters with police, accusing them of harassing her. Even after exiting the building, she continued arguing with the officers. >> Yes, you have chosen to do this. >> You screamed at >> I am allowed to express my anger with those with whom I have contention. >> All right. >> I did so with a private firm with whom I have a civil dispute, and your police officers arrived on scene and decided to side with that party. They decided to take a witness report that I was no longer there. >> All right. >> And that I was trespassing. >> this is the right way to go about this? >> I have tried to do it by going to the police department and complaining. >> Uh-huh. >> And then my coming to city hall and spending my day off talking with Miss Galia, and then making an appointment to talk with the Chili police chief, who wanted to make me wait till next Friday, which indicated no responsibility was going to be taken for inappropriate behavior. It was inappropriate. Your police officers arrived to a scene, to a private party with whom I have a civil dispute. And they chose to take a report that I refused to leave when I was not there. And they chose to follow me and issue me a trespass order when I left. I stated the condition under which I would leave, and I left when that condition was met. That's not trespassing. Their fear that I could come back and do it again WAS SPECULATION. THE POLICE OFFICERS ARE not allowed to make an assumption. >> STOP. STOP. >> ALLOWED TO MAKE an assumption that I'm coming back. >> Yeah. Okay, so she's been trespassing since >> They're not allowed to make that assumption and they did. Oh, we're afraid she's coming back to express her anger again. They're not allowed to do that. >> After being handcuffed, the woman argued that she was simply exercising her free speech rights to express her anger toward a private company involved in a civil dispute, but that did not give her the right to cause a disturbance at City Hall. Once seated in the patrol car, however, her attitude took a dramatic turn. >> My name is Elaine Harmon and I'm very angry and I don't feel that I should have to continue to answer the same questions over and over and over. I've I've had to answer the same questions over and over and over and the information isn't even remembered. And then they say, "Oh, who's there?" Oh, he was allowed. He wasn't even there. So, he wasn't allowed. He wasn't So, I'm tired of it. I'm tired of it. No recordings? No recordings? No recordings? Oh, no. No recordings up there in the office where they where your employer in the city told me they're not taking responsibility. When I said I wanted to record it, it was time to go. So, what what >> So, here here's what's going to happen from here, okay? I have a female officer here. >> Great. >> She's going to do a search to make sure you don't have anything on you. >> Okay, great. >> You said you haven't, but she's going to check to see >> Okay, great. I've never had a weapon in my life. >> That's fine. Do you have any drugs or any needles or >> No. No. No. No. No. Nothing. I have tampons in. >> It's a standard question that we have to ask, okay? >> Yeah, okay, great. >> All right. >> Earrings. >> So, this That's fine. My next question I'm going to have for you is your bag that you have here. Did you drive here or did you walk here? Okay. So, the bag. The jail will not accept the bag, okay? I can take a small purse, but not the briefcase. They won't accept it. You have two options. I'm willing to work with you on those, okay? I'm going to give you your options. You can make the decision, okay? Option one is we can find your car and I will put the bag in your car for you, secure it and bring the keys with you so that way when you get out you can come back and your bag will be secure. If you do not wish to do that, option two is that bag will be put in the property evidence. You have to make an appointment Monday to Friday 8:00 to 5:00 with my property evidence technician to be able to retrieve your bag. >> She looked visibly frustrated as she recounted her legal dispute. Her impatience and expectation of immediate special treatment ultimately led to her outburst. Moments later, she was asked to step out of the vehicle for a search. >> All right, face the car for me. >> All right, do you have anything on you that's going to poke police stick in your film? >> No. >> Okay, no no earrings in your pocket? >> in my pockets. No, I shouldn't have anything in my pockets. No, I don't have anything in my pockets. No, I don't have anything in my >> Okay. All right. I'm going to be searching you, okay? >> This is my business card. They're They're working in one of those pockets for me. >> All right. >> Yep, they're in there. >> Okay. Nothing else in there? Just going to pull these up just a little bit. I think there's like I'm not sure exactly what's happening here. >> Yeah, me neither. I have some sort of very serious problem with my digestive and I'm probably dying. So, I had trouble keeping my pants up. >> Okay. That's >> This is what I did this morning. >> Not yet, okay. Ooh, faux pockets. >> Yeah, faux pockets. >> Oh. So, this is faux pockets. >> There are real pockets in the back, I think. Damn. >> I'll get you to lift up your bag right there. It's good. Hang tight. Hang tight. There's just something in here that's a little pokey. Could be dirt, could be something not. Trying to figure it out. Okay, step forward a little bit. Okay, spread your feet for me. What I'm going to have you do is I'm going to tuck this underneath here. What's going on here? You're all hooked up in here. That's Okay, so what's Is this like a >> It's a I'm using it as a belt. It's a scarf that I use as a belt, but it's through the loops once and then not through all the loops a second time. So, you have to undo the knot? >> No, no, no. It's fine. I It's just kind of It's going to be a chew if you want that on or off for the trip. >> Well, yeah. Yeah. My pants up really without it. These are my smallest pants and they fall down without it. >> All right. >> So, I put it expectations of winning to try to be decent. I definitely didn't plan on getting arrested. I plan on talking about how much compensation you all owe me for harassment. >> Listen. Listen. >> But now, apparently, the last couple months of my life are going to have to spend time >> I got to get the lower half, yeah? >> Yes. >> All right. Yeah? >> ACLU >> Okay. >> A female officer conducts a search incident to arrest. The woman cooperates physically, but continues criticizing law enforcement and discussing her ongoing grievances. She then went on to claim she was being discriminated against because she was a woman. >> I never threatened anyone personally. I stated what my intentions are. I followed through on my intentions. I have made no threat to anyone. >> You have more than one? >> All your hands >> Oh, no, we're switching out. Okay. >> The first time for me, feels good. I was I have a serious mental illness from being abused as a child, and I don't like to be I don't like to be mistreated. >> Yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what I said. >> I'm going to miss Jerry. Let's talk back here in a little bit, okay? I'll talk to you in here. >> Is there a law against looking an officer in the eye and speaking to them? No, okay. >> Step out here for me. >> So, I got discriminated against and mistreated as a woman, as poor person, and then and then turned my employment terminated. >> You want me to check your shoes? >> You can take them. They have this little floss. There's nothing in them. You want to check? You want to check? >> I see them. There's nothing in there. >> There's nothing in there. >> I know. >> I would never hurt anyone. >> I know. >> I pick up bees and save them by the thousands in water. >> In the end, the suspect was charged with disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, and obstruction of justice. Watching obnoxious Karens yap their way into arrest is way too satisfying, but this next Karen might just take the crown. >> HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK. WHY AM I UNDER ARREST? HEY SIRI, CALL AUNTIE POOH. HEY SIRI, CALL Auntie Pooh. >> While being pulled out of the car and pinned down by police to be handcuffed, the girl continuously screamed loudly, stubbornly clinging to her phone to call her family for help. Afterwards, the police calmly explained to her the reason for her arrest. >> What am I being arrested for? >> I just put obstruction and reckless driving. >> Ob- obstruction of what? The officers, however, disregarded her objections and continued following standard procedure. >> Okay. Separate your feet for me. You just asked me to separate them. I am. You don't have to kick my ankle. >> Okay. All right. You find it, Christian? And then once you have a free second, I don't know if you heard that, but please you don't have to want to give him a 45. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay, sounds good. >> Switching seats now. I'm his field training officer. >> This is Officer Buckins. She was assisting with the arrest, okay? >> no, it's just I I I mean, like I said, it me, when I come out, man, I just wanted to know cuz I'm like, "What's going on?" Cuz at first, I'm like, I don't know if she's caused an accident, been in accident, hurt someone, or she got hurt. >> Right. >> So, I'm riding 19 looking for you guys. >> Yeah, I got you. >> So, when I get here, I was like, "Oh, man, I saw her when y'all was putting her in. That is who I'm looking for." >> Yeah. >> I just wanted to know what she's being arrested cuz I have to go back and tell my Now money got to be paid out for something that shouldn't have been >> Absolutely. And and and again, understand this, right? I have no problem I our intention was to give you a call once our paperwork was completed, right? But understand we are under no legal obligation. So in the future, right? You could run up on a situation where an officer just they don't they they won't deal with you, right? Do I think that's the right thing to do? No. I think that yeah, that we could have a simple conversation, right? But understand, right? Tensions are high. Things were going I don't know if she was screaming at her in the backseat. She was screaming at us the whole time. That's why we put her in that car so that we could focus and do our work and get her out as quickly as possible, right? But again this could have all been avoided, right? So I'm hoping that if you have a relationship with her, you're able to explain to her that this was this is we had no intention on >> escalated to a level it really did not need to go to. >> It was beyond what it needed to be. If you're driving I will tell you this in the the the going on 8 years that I've been doing this, if I ask somebody for their keys, I'm doing it for a reason, right? Before the uncle left, the officer comforted him with an experienced judgment that reduced the suspect's charges. >> As I said, I had to get this information, so Yeah, I can come in hot, but I'm just like this this is I'm looking at my niece and this girl she was all just in service. I'm like, what the freak going on, you know? >> Yeah. Hey man, everybody makes mistakes, right? And everybody's human, so >> man, she got so much going on right now. >> Well, like I said, as long as if you're close to her, man, if you're close to her >> she's with us every weekend. >> Yeah, you got to I mean, that's some that's that's that's wisdom on your part saying, "Listen, we don't do this. When her mom gets that video, I encourage her to go get the video so that you guys can see and you guys can have a talk and you guys can say this is ridiculous. There's no reason for this, right? You broke a law You broke a traffic law, right? You got pulled over. It would have been just a ticket and that's it. >> All right, man. Now we got a charge on your head and >> Yep. And a felony charge. >> Serious charge. >> So >> That's going to That lingers, right? Those >> Well, so I'll I'll tell you what will probably I'll I'll be honest with you. The way that these things typically go, whenever we It's called invest, we go to the state attorney's office and they determine what they're going to charge somebody with. Her not having any record, I highly doubt that they file the felony charge. Then they may file the reckless. And then if they file the reckless, again, it's it's a it's a misdemeanor, but it's a traffic misdemeanor. It's like reckless driving is what they bump DUIs down from normally. So it's like a little bit less than a DUI. >> So we hit our insurance. >> Oh, it'll hit her insurance. Absolutely. >> And she's 21. >> Yeah, she's going to She's going to feel it on that end, yeah. >> Okay, well, we'll take I just hate this for her. >> The suspect was later convicted of resisting arrest and reckless driving. Don't blink. Another self-declared sovereign driver has just entered the scene, and this one looks ready to test reality all over again. >> This is real crazy. >> Hey, Miss Tays, will you step out, please? >> Step out for what? >> So step out, please. I'm not going to ask you again. >> I'm not doing anything wrong. >> On July 29th, 2025, a routine stop suddenly turns volatile as the driver challenges authority and refuses to accept what the system reveals about her driving status. Clearly a driver built for conflict, not cooperation. >> You can call them right now. Right now. >> Yeah, I bought my insurance just in time. Somebody else did the same thing I got pulled over before the same same reason. He pulled me over said my license was suspended and he had to pull me up in the system and it said it was suspended. >> No, when I ran your tag >> Yeah, he did it. >> That's what it said you were suspended. And then I turned around. >> And you turned around. So, my I didn't give you a reason to turn around. >> Hey. >> You want to run my tag because I don't have a tag in the front of my truck. >> You didn't have I don't have to have a reason to turn around, do I? Hey. >> Well, that's not a reason because I didn't do anything. >> I I understand Miss Tazewell, but listen, you could be going to jail. You want to You want to argue with me and I can just take you to jail and we could be done with it. >> I'm about to have to have a ticket to pay a fine. >> You want Okay, so so would you So so you would So you rather go to jail? >> Jail? >> This is crazy. >> So you would rather go Come on, step out. >> This is real crazy. >> Hey, Ms. Tasha, will step out, please. >> out for what? Where I'm missing my eyelashes, this is where she was hitting me. >> Okay. Did you hit her back at all? >> I didn't hit her back because she's my daughter. I'd never hit her. I never hit anyone like that. >> How many times did she hit you? >> Probably four times she hit me. That's just how she >> Moments later, the daughter is located and the picture starts to sharpen. One by one, the mother's claims unravel, leaving the truth nowhere to hide. >> Hello. >> What's going on, ma'am? How are you doing? All right. Who's there? All right. Can we talk back here? So, walk us through what's going on tonight. >> I was at her birthday party. Well, I went to go pick her up and she was stumbling, not walking straight, and I told her what she didn't want to hear. That I'm almost 18 and I shouldn't have to be to pick up my 40, almost 40-year-old mom because she's old enough to know she has two other kids with her and that she needs to be responsible, but she's acting like a child and she didn't like it. So, she hit me one time and then right here we were driving I was driving and she pulled my hair and started hitting me and so I had to slam on the brakes and I and where the car is right now it hasn't moved. She started yelling at me. I don't remember why. So >> no idea why? >> I don't know. She started yelling at me and she said She said, "I have to pick you up from a [ __ ] party." She was screaming at the top of her lungs. >> You didn't respond >> her on the phone >> You didn't respond when she was yelling at you? >> No, I said, "Pull over and let me the [ __ ] out of the car." That's what I said. >> call her any names before that like during the argument? >> No, I didn't call her any arguments. If you ask her, she's going to say we were arguing. We were arguing. >> You know, you were never physical with her. And you didn't yell at her. You didn't call her names. >> I probably yelled at her, yes, because she was yelling at me, absolutely. I'm not saying I >> ago you said you didn't yell at her. >> The story she carefully staged began to crack. Small inconsistencies slipping through, exposing a tale that could no longer hold together. >> When she was hitting me in my face, I might have grabbed her by her hair, yes. >> 5 minutes ago you said you absolutely did not touch her anytime. >> I did not touch her anytime until she she hit me in the face. Then I might have grabbed I might I probably did grab her hair, yes, absolutely, because I was defending myself. >> said you grabbed her by the face, what was the cause of this? >> I I don't know. >> possible you hit her back. >> I don't know. >> You just don't remember. >> Rather than just say you don't remember. >> I don't remember hitting her back, but I know I probably did grab her hair, yes. >> One person has given us a clear, concise statement from beginning to end. >> And the other person has she was >> The other person provided us a constantly changing story up until this very second. That's the issue right now. >> I never said I didn't hit her. >> Yes, you did. >> A kid's not hitting their mother in the face. And that's what you should be telling her. She punched her mother in the face. Very disrespectful. >> Yeah, we got two different stories here. They they conflict. >> We got two different stories, but her story is not >> Seeing through the chaos, officers stepped in and restrained her, snapping the curtain on a drunken fantasy and bringing the moment back to reality. >> Oh my gosh, you're taking me to jail? >> Yep. >> Why? >> Based on the information we got, we've determined her to be the primary aggressor. >> But I am >> We have conflicting statements, but again, that's where we're at, okay? Nobody's pressing charges. This is us pressing charges, so >> Okay. She's got beats from the center of twins at home, like babies waiting for her. I'm going to get fired from my job. I'm done. Yeah, I am. >> It's just a misdemeanor charge. >> It doesn't matter. I'm on probation. >> Oh, you are? >> Yeah. >> For what? >> For um I got into like a bar fight. >> You're missing your probation? >> Yeah. >> For what for battery? >> Yeah. >> Is there a special condition of no alcohol? >> Yeah. >> Wonderful. The suspect's family members arrive, and it's clear they're already fed up with her behavior. As if this isn't the first or even second time she's embarrassed herself like this. >> I'm [ __ ] Like I'm I'm going to lose my job.
