As the chase pressed south into Union County, a trooper assumed primary pursuit. [Music] [Applause] The trooper closed in and wasted in no time, executing a pit at 80 mph. It was another clear display of just how skilled Arkansas state troopers are. With the truck shoved into the ditch, officers moved in, surrounding the vehicle and arresting the driver without further incident. McMahon refused sobriety tests and was booked into the Calhoun County Detention Center on multiple charges. It was November 10th, 2024 when a Jackson County deputy moved in to stop a Nissan Ultima. [Music] [Music] The driver pushed the Nissan hard at sudden burst of speed, likely catching the deputy off guard, but it didn't last long. Once the gear was dropped and the cruiser surged forward, the deputy said, "Hold my beer." and was back on the Nissan's tail. [Music] [Music] The deputy struck the Altima, sending it crashing head-on into another vehicle, an outcome no officer wants. But with seconds to react, there was no time for alternatives. The wreck left the Nissan disabled, and within moments, the driver was under arrest. The chase brought to an abrupt end. >> Walk back to me. Hands up. Walk back to me. Walk back to me. Turn around. J's behind your back. Dropped the cigarette. >> I'm trying to run you, sir. >> Yeah, you were. >> I promise I wasn't. Uh, my car was up. His charges: felony fleeing, drug possession, resisting arrest, obstructing operations, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon in Littleton, Colorado, September 4th, 2024. In the dead of night, deputies responded to a burglary in progress at a salvage yard.
