He smashed my phone. He destroyed my Christmas tree in there. He literally dragged me by my hoodie and put me out of his car and he's like, "You're going in the house." >> Stop resisting. >> Okay, I'm I'm not resisting. >> Dave's going to put in his mouth. >> Like, who put hands on my cage? That's all I want to know. Call him a sick mother for talking to >> the hospital. >> I'm sorry. >> Excuse me. >> It was supposed to be a routine welfare check. just a quick visit to make sure everything was okay. But once officers stepped inside, the situation began to look very different. The longer they stayed, the clearer it became that this home was hiding something far darker than anyone expected. >> Really? >> Oh, yeah. >> I knew it. >> Yes, we are. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, we are. >> No, you're not. This is what police found during a routine welfare check. Left them silent. Here is law zone where features real police body cam footage documenting how officers handle tense and unpredictable situations as they happen. The first incident is that toxic mother films revenge on husband. It backfires brutally. >> She does have it on her snapshot that she was going to burn. Oh, does she just miraculously got set on fire? >> A lot of miraculous has been happening around here. So, y'all can say what you want to say. Um, tell them the truth. I don't know what else to say. I'll take a damn pol. >> On January 27th, 2023 officers responded to a residence after reports of a fire involving a pile of clothing left along the roadway. The incident reportedly began after [music] a domestic dispute between a married couple during which the woman placed her husband's belongings outside and later set them on fire despite an active protective order between the two. >> Is somebody going to come watch my kids? >> Yes, ma'am. Yes, ma'am. >> What's up, guys? Tell you before you walked up here, she went back inside cuz she was standing out here freezing this. So, if you wanted to get up there closer to her house to talk to her, unless you want to walk up there, >> you get close to the guy, right? >> Well, we don't know how it started. We pulled up, the pile of clothes was on fire. We put it out, got some information. She seems to think he came by and lit them on fire. Nobody saw anybody. >> When you guys come in, see, I don't know. She was down here at the bottom of the driveway with two other ladies that had stopped or maybe live across the street or something. She saw the fire. What she told us she saw the fire and then came down here. >> Deputies begin gathering information from people nearby and confirmed the property belonged to the husband who had [snorts] recently moved out of the home. >> It's not the gasoline burn. He shocked me. She's burning his clothes right now. You smell gas. I don't >> But there's enough paper to start a fire. Yeah, but it was fully all the way around. >> When you hit it, it didn't go out. It kind of spread a little bit and then it went out. >> Now, this >> this is at the very bottom. >> No, right there. >> She was in a pair of socks as well. Like she was probably inside, but again, >> yeah, ain't no way there's clogged up by that. >> There's something in here. Probably bullets. There's a lot of tingling in there. It looks like a gun box. I doubt someone will find his gun. >> But I'm seeing there's a lot of crinkling inside. >> Yeah, it sounds like sound like bullets. Yeah. >> And I see the one of those hand carts bringing stuff in here. >> Yeah, that's what it is. Somewhere here should be wheel remain. >> Were y'all the ones out here earlier? >> No. >> Oh, okay. We just came, but we we came this house already twice. >> Oh, okay. Somebody was here. Officers contact the husband by phone to confirm what belongings he left at the residence and learned that several items of clothing remained there. >> It was about the husband and then she taken to one of you guys to hospital and then the next day she put a TPO on him and the guy still cooperative. I mean he's a amazingly patient guy. >> Hello. Is this David? Hello. This is Deputy Scrawal County Sheriff's Office. I spoke to you the other day. >> Yes. >> Where are you at right now? I am in Gainesville. >> Okay. So, I know I understand the situation where this the civil unit came. Question. What did you take with you? >> Really? I mean, my clothes, my computers. >> Did you leave any clothes still at the house? >> Oh, yeah. I I Man, I don't have enough clothes. Really? I was really going to call y'all and see if I could go back and get the rest of my work clothes and stuff, but >> Explain some of your work clothes to me. >> They are. >> Yeah, I'll call you back and give you an update. Okay. I want to find out who the neighbors were, why they came over here, which ones it was. >> I bet it was them cuz they had perfect clear view. >> Why they were over here? >> You go talk to them. >> Yeah, there's a camera right there. >> Were you guys out here at the free point with a fire out here? >> No, I know the lady was I was looking at the window. >> She set the fire on fire. She set the fire cuz I was looking out the window. Yeah. There was some stuff from earlier. I think somebody's moving out or getting kicked out. So the lady went up. I didn't actually see her flick the bit. So I saw the little like station wagon SUV thing. >> Yeah. >> Part down there. And then I heard heard it come back up. So I looked outside if she had a bag or something. But that I noticed the fire starting. It was small. >> You wouldn't have had camera pointing at maybe seen something. >> Officers are shown a social media post indicating the woman had previously mentioned burning the belongings which raises additional suspicion. No, that way, man. No, >> that way. I get it cuz you know, like I was watching out the window. >> Okay. So, she said that we told her she could set it on the side of the road. So, we've already been dealing with her and him uh for a couple of weeks. There's been prior domestics. She's going through some thinking that it's him creeping on her and stuff. So, she's already been going down this road and she lied through her teeth to even get the tpo. Yes. >> So, I just wanted to show you that she she does have it on her Snapchat that she was going to burn. >> Oh, does she? Does she? Outstanding. >> Yeah. >> Let me see that. >> I have a picture of it right here. Any men need some? Well, yeah, you can. >> Deputies speak with the woman inside the home. She admits placing her husband's belongings by the road, but denies starting the fire, stating she was inside with her children. >> Wanted to burn it, but thought I better not. Maybe somebody needs it. >> And it actually might still be on there. >> Yeah. >> Okay. So, who are you family to? I'm just friend. I'm friend. But uh well, it was Jamie, but it's been more so David. >> She apparently told the fire department that we told her she could put his stuff out here on the curb. The next thing she knew, it was burning. >> I mean, you could if someone moved out, but here's the thing, that could have started a bigger fight. You can't burn people's property. You can put it out for him to come grab it from the streets if they had an agreement, but you can't burn his stuff. >> Nope. >> So, what she did was she put it out here earlier in the day. She went up there and thought about it and was like, "You know what? No, I'm going to burn it." So along with 95 and her, yes, we'll send the kids with the dad, but we need to make a defax referral, too, because they need to be involved as far as when she gets out. >> You have a relationship with her? >> That's my daughter-in-law, my grand. >> That's her grand. >> What I'm going to ask y'all to do while we go up here and interview her is y'all just wait in y'all's cars. It's safer for y'all cuz y'all on the side of the road. So, if y'all will wait in the car until we get done with her and then we'll worry about the kids after that. >> Okay. >> Okay. >> Sheriff office. >> Hey, come in. It's cold. >> Okay. >> Sorry. I was trying to get my daughter a bath. Oh, >> okay. I understand. We just need to talk in here because trying to figure it out. >> Well, can you come in here? It's freezing. >> Okay. Why's your heater still on outside >> for my dog? Come in and shut the door. What's going on? >> I was just going to have a few questions. >> I don't. >> So, what do you want to talk about? So, what's the deal with husband's property on the road? U >> I told the police I put it out there earlier and they said, "Okay, I did that like way I did that uh around lunchtime." >> Okay. What for? >> After questioning and reviewing the available information, officers escort the woman outside and place her under arrest. >> Because I wanted to step out of the house cuz I don't even know what he's putting me through. Hell, >> you're fine with it being out there and getting damaged and destroyed >> for 18 years. So I I mean and and he has people riding by so they they can come get his stuff. >> How did it end up on fire? >> I don't know. I mean I'm not saying that I wouldn't cuz I would set it on fire and I would tell you if I did but I didn't. I was in here with my kids. >> Okay. So just miraculously got set on fire. >> Funny. A lot of miraculous can happen around here that don't make no damn sense. He had to get removed from my house Tuesday by TPO and he's made my life hell ever. Um my brain's like mush. I just want to sleep. He's making my life hell. >> How? >> I'm so sick of saying I've been told this story a thousand times. It's on record. Would you like to see the TPO papers and the Family Violence Act that I got on him? >> No, really. I know about the TPO. >> Gateway to get away from him. >> Well, not really because if that was the fact, Gateway would have taken you know what's going on in our case right now. Like, he's done. So, y'all can say what you want to say. Um, tell him the truth. I don't know what else to say. I'll take a damn polygraph test. I don't give a damn. >> Okay. So, we still don't know how the the clothes ended up on fire. Who who who would have >> He didn't have much anyway. >> I mean, it was a good bit of stuff. >> Officers coordinate with relatives and others present to ensure the children in the home are cared for while the situation is handled. >> Clothes and one pair of shoes. >> No, there's a lot more down there than that. >> Like what? >> I mean, you tell me. You put that one. >> Uh, I put all of our wedding pictures out there. And if you're going to be disrespectful, you need to leave my house and I'll deal with them. Do you have some shoes you can put on >> for what? >> To step outside with us away from your kids. >> It's freezing outside. >> I'm clear. But do you have a pair of shoes? >> You can wear a jacket, but they they shouldn't be witnessing this conversation. >> I know that. >> Yeah, I know that. >> So So if you want to help them, I just come outside, please. Thank you. >> Any weapons on you or anything? >> No, I don't have any weapons. >> All right. >> Just right now, go put your hands behind your back. >> For what? Is somebody going to come watch my kids? >> Yes, ma'am. >> Yes, ma'am. >> I'm the one going to jail. You realize you can't just burn people's property, right? >> And can you remind my daughter to blow her candle, please? >> Okay. >> She's in the bathtub right now. >> We We'll go back up in there. There's active candle light and how she's There's >> it twice. There's kid in there. >> Okay. So, I I'll get them up there. You have contact with David. >> Yes. That's my son. That's who I've been staying with right now. >> You mean he's been staying with you? >> No. >> She has a restraining order on him. >> I've been I've been dealing with them for the past couple weeks. So his buddy Sean, the cop down here, gave him a place to stay. So we've been staying over off uh Piedmont Road in a little tiny house they gave us. And that's where we've been since this happened. >> There's not really going to be accommodations over there for the kids, is there? >> Yeah. That they can sleep in the bed. Yes. The three of them can sleep in the big bed. >> And you are the grandma for the kids. >> Yes. >> So the father's side. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> I was living with them. >> I was Yeah. I lived here for god almost two years. >> I just moved out in November. I don't know. >> I came and lived because we turned into a 1013 last two years ago. I ended up here because >> deputies discuss the ongoing family conflict and determine that the children will remain temporarily with a relative while the legal process continues. >> I can stay here with the kids if I have to. >> That may be what we go with. >> I'll do it. Yeah. I'll call my work and tell them they know everything that's going on. >> Who's my granddaughter? Emma's daughter's best friend. >> The girls know you. Okay. >> Very well. Very well. >> Will you do me a favor? I think one of them's in the bathtub. >> That's what I want to do is >> go while I work with her, go check on them. We didn't arrest her in front of the kids. She She was trying to use them to keep from going outside, >> but we didn't let her. >> Um, just make sure they're okay. >> The unfortunate part that is going to make this hard is because apparently in that TPO, he's not supposed to have contact with the kids as well. >> Yes. Even with her getting arrested, it it's supposed to get forwarded to DeFax to make an emergency plan for temporary cussy or whatever, which would usually go to a family member, which I'm hoping they'll say use since, but they're not going to do it with him because of the down order that's in place, which I know he has an attorney and stuff like that. They've got a court date coming up. So, what he needs to do is so he doesn't get in trouble. I know he's worried about your girls, but if they if you're end up allowed to stay here with them and care for them, >> he does not need to be over here or anything like that. >> Yeah. If I'm here, she ain't coming around. I'm >> sorry. >> So, what we are going to do is let your I'm making a decision since I can't get a hold of defects to let your mom stay with the girls with the kids here. >> A there's no chance of you possibly even getting in trouble >> and it's not as big of a change for them. That's home. All their stuff here. here. >> She's lived here before. >> It makes sense. >> You stay where you're staying. Do what you need to do. Contact your attorney as soon as you can. >> Let her know, you know, you need an emergency hearing Monday morning to amend that TPO because of these new charges. >> So, what I was telling your son is what decided to do since I can't get a hold of defects or anything like that. Just you take care of the kids this weekend since you're knowledgeable with them. They don't have to be taken out of the home. He stayed here before. It makes sense. >> When you go in front of court and plead your case to them with, "Hey, >> that's what I was doing when you called me." I was sitting there on my computer writing my stories for more. >> Yeah, exactly. >> Yeah. I don't need no more, dude. I already had six. >> That's what they're going to want to see is the >> the history >> the history of all that. >> You can't make up that I got written down on there, dude. Last time this happened, she called um she left and I had my daughter. I had my oldest and she left and called Deax and Deax came up here and I sat there and told him everything that had happened and at the end of the conversation he was like, "Dude, there's no way you could even make that story up." He's like, you know, he talked to my kids. He went around the house and looked at everything and he's like, "Mr. Arnold, we don't see any signs of what she's been claiming. And I can tell that she's been coaching your kids on what to say. >> And and h and and he said, "We we don't play about that." Like we don't play about coaching kids on what >> That's what she's doing with him over there. >> Oh yeah. She's been doing it, dude, for 2 months. >> How did she look? >> Average. I mean, she she didn't look like she had been, you know, strung out or anything, but she makes the con statements of, you know, I just need rest. I can't I can't sleep. It's because she's out watching that paranoia. >> Her room, you can tell she hasn't been in the van in days. I looked at her room. >> Yeah. So, would like when you go on the porch, you can tell she's been sitting on the porch a lot. When I drove by here Tuesday night or uh she was on the porch one time, I drove by a second time, she was in the car facing down the driveway. >> Did she sat in the car for 12 hours? I told you. Yeah. >> 12 hours. From 11. The woman was arrested and charged with thirdderee arson and criminal trespassing. Remember disputes during a separation can escalate quickly, especially when property is damaged or destroyed. Actions taken during emotional conflicts can lead to criminal charges and involvement from law enforcement. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. That situation escalated quickly from a dispute to a criminal case. The officers seemed focused on making sure the children were taken care of. Social media posts can sometimes come back to cause problems later. Think this situation was already intense. The body cam catches a split-second decision that changes everything. Comment if you saw it coming. The next incident is when police teach rebellious mom and teen son a lesson they won't forget. >> A kid has a new job interview tomorrow. I can't do this. >> You got to teach him to control his anger, not >> feed it. >> This right here. >> On May 15th, 2025 officers responded to a resident following a report of a woman breaking into her family's home where she no longer resides. and threatening them for allowing an older male to speak with her son's 16-year-old girlfriend. >> Okay. >> I was like, "Okay, whatever. He's just going to go over here." >> I was in there on my couch and I heard the beating on the door. So, I came out of my apartment and I was standing down here at the bottom of the steps. >> Okay. >> With the driver of the car, >> okay? >> Cuz he was standing down here also. >> Okay. >> Brains out. >> Okay. Okay. >> And he was going to put a in his mouth. And Linda, he had already pushed Linda through the door when I cuz I heard them beating on the door. I mean, they were beating on the like it was. >> So, you came out cuz you heard the beating. >> Yes. >> It was pretty much like a knock like you know like have you all have a search warrant and you knock it like that? Yes, I get it. Yep. That's exactly how he knocked >> because she heard. >> I think Aiden went on account and blocked you. and Angel and Aiden both coming out was talking. Angel was inside the apartment. >> And as I said question mark and then >> yes she broke in as well. >> That's my daughter so she's >> Hey mom, at least I didn't bring any cops around you when I was younger. No, sir. >> A neighbor reports that the teen was yelling threats during the confrontation and that both the teen and his mother entered the residence despite not living there. >> Just now that I'm older. >> How does that play out for us? >> I know. I don't know if she goes too. I mean, we're charging him with breaking and entering. >> If she went in, well, I mean, I guess let me figure out for her if she went in and >> Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Get her statement. I'm going to finish up here and then I'm headed to you. >> So, you come out. The mail is at the bottom of the steps with you. >> Yep. the driver of the vehicle. >> And what did you see upstairs? >> I seen Angel and Aiden both coming out on and saying that he was going to shoot in the mouth. And she was saying that uh Grandma >> They were definitely inside the apartment. >> They were inside the apartment. >> Okay. They forced their way in. >> They forced their way. >> Well, y'all didn't tell us Angel got in. So that's >> Yeah, Angel got in, too. Um, right after right after he I shut the door or whatever the one time he literally came running back up and him and they both went and start yelling at grandma. >> Yeah, I heard. >> Okay. So, the door was reopened. >> So, y'all shut the door and then they reopened the door. >> Yeah, that or I had it cracked and they came back through again. >> Okay. So, then he's threatening to shoot him. >> Yes. >> Okay. >> And then that's when I seen them both come out of the where they would come out of the apartment like I said and he was threatening to to go. >> Residents inside the apartment say they pushed the teen out after he forced his way inside, but [snorts] both he and his mother returned and continued yelling before eventually leaving. >> Okay. He came down the steps and he said, "I'll be back." And I was already standing at the bottom of the steps. And then Angel comes running down through there down from the apartment >> cussing and carrying on and telling me to keep my granddaughter away from all >> and he's not >> I'm not worried about that. I don't care. I don't care about that. People can say whatever they want. The things I get called in a day is phenomenal. >> Right. >> Yeah. >> When he got came in here and threatened me for saying I, you know, I had no right. >> Okay. So y'all, let me replay this. So [snorts] banging starts on the door for y'all. >> They push their way through. He pushes his way through. >> You get to push him back out. >> Yeah. >> And they reopen the door and mom enters. And that's where the yelling starts >> after I after he more yelling. >> So how did they end up Yeah. Yeah. So how did they end up on y'all's ending back down here? Did you like tell them to get out? Did y'all >> um get them back down the steps >> after I shut the door the first time? I slammed the door and told them, "Get the and go." Then they came back up again. >> Okay. So, how' they end up leaving? >> Um, so they had >> they just make that decision on their own or >> Yeah, they made that decision on their own and then I was here. I came out with my phone trying to see if I could like take a picture of the car or whatever and they start speeding off going down that way and then they come back around and then I finally get the picture of their car and then they come back out that way. >> Okay. Grandma, you want both of y'all on the protective order? >> Yes. >> Okay, perfect. Cuz we'll do no contact, no contact. >> She's threatening to come back. Okay. Okay. >> So, did he >> that he'd be back later? >> I think I got I've got that in here. Um, >> officers confirmed that the confrontation was related to the teen accusing a 28year-old man in the apartment of speaking with his 16-year-old girlfriend. >> Um, so we're he's going straight to juvenile detention. >> Oh, good. >> Yeah. And mom might go to Mom to jail, too. I'm going over there. Yeah, I'm going >> Yeah. Yeah. I'm going over there now. You definitely do them in somebody's house with an elderly lady. She just got out. >> Oh, yeah. Of course. No, it's ridiculous. Yeah. >> A couple weeks ago. >> Yeah. It's ridiculous. All right. Thank y'all. >> Trying to figure out what we're going to do. I didn't know anything. >> Yeah. I mean, she went in, too. So, I mean, she can go in for breaking in. So, >> she's saying she was in the car and she heard the crash, so she ran upstairs and then took a step in like, what the heck's going on? >> Yeah. >> Did she did she actually physically break in or did >> They're both threatening them cuz they used to There's beef. They used to both live there. He pushes the door open. Grandma's right there behind the door. She shuts it. He pushes it back open. Makes it in and pushes her into the wall. That's how she hit her arm on the doorway as she's getting back up. She's pushing and son comes or grandson comes out, pushes him down the steps. Noodle's right there with him there. The driver is down at the bottom of the steps. They shut the door. They both reopen the door and go inside the apartment and start yelling. Okay, Angel, you want to come over here and talk to me? >> I like your sleep. >> Police locate the mother and begin questioning her. She states she went to the residence after her son claimed someone had their put hands on. >> Officer, thank you. >> All right. So, just based on what we have at the other location, I'm just going to go ahead and detain you right now. Um, I'm going to read your Miranda rights and I'm going to get your statement. Okay. >> Okay. >> You can just place your hands behind your back. >> Why? >> Because of what I just told you. >> What was said at the other >> location? I'm trying to help because you got my phone, too. >> Where' that cut come from? >> What? >> On your wrist. You got a bloody wrist. >> I don't know. >> All right. So, like I said, you're detained because of the statements that we got from the other. >> You have the right to remain silent. Do you understand your rights? During questioning, the mother admits stepping inside the apartment to confront the residents, but denies threatening anyone or starting the altercation. >> Yes, ma'am. >> Hope you can leave it. We'll get it. >> Okay. So, what happened over today? >> My all my son, we were at my house. So, my son came out of his room. >> That's the front oil pipe address. Okay. >> He was like, "Mom," he's like, "We got to go to Dakota." >> Okay. >> He's like I'm like, "Okay, why? What for?" He's like, "Because he's been talking to my 16-year-old girlfriend, Serenity." I was like, "Okay, whatever." He's just going to go up there to, I guess, confront him, whatever the situation may be. >> We pulled up. We pulled on the other side of the um house across the street. >> Okay. >> Okay. My son goes up there, he knocks on the door, and for a minute, everything was fine. And then I heard a loud crash. Okay. >> Okay. Like someone fell down the steps. >> You feel like he's on the phone doing something. >> Okay. No, they don't think so. Okay. I'm sorry. >> All right. So, >> so you had pulled up. >> Okay. Thank you. We pulled up to the house. My son walked over and knocked on the door and for a minute or two, everything was quiet and then I hear a loud crap. >> Okay. >> At first, I thought >> So, where were you when he knocked on the door? >> I was in the >> Okay. You were not in the residence? >> No, I was in the car. >> Okay. So if I pull up camera footage, >> I was in the car until my son came out. >> Okay. >> And said, "Mom, Linda, grandma, said grandma and Dakota pushed me down the step. They put hands in." >> Okay. >> I said, "Okay." So I went up and I asked them who put hands on my truck. >> So where were you when you ask them? >> At the top of the step. >> Okay. >> Where they live? At the top of the step. >> Okay. So when you walked in, >> he said, "Mom, Dakota, and grandma put hands." So, I walked in to the top where they live at the top of the residence hall. >> So, you went in first, not Aiden's. >> Uh, no. Aiden went in first to to knock on the door. >> Yeah. Yeah, I know. I'm saying after that. >> After that, >> I went in and I knocked on the door. >> Okay. >> And I was like, "Hey, which one of y'all put hands on my child?" >> Like, who put hands on my kids? That's all I want to know. Who put hands on my child? >> So, where was Aiden at that point? >> Behind me. >> Okay. You were saying you were never in the apartment. I just stepped like this a foot in, went around the corner, asked grandma, "Grandma, did you put hands on my child?" I didn't say anything smart, didn't threat, no nothing. >> What was grandma saying? >> She says she didn't. >> Officers explained that entering the residence without permission constitutes unlawful entry and that witness statements contradict parts of her story. >> Where was she sitting? >> In her room on her chair, >> which is where when you go in the house, it's the room to this side. >> Okay. So, you'd have to be in to see that. I was just in there. >> You got You could step in and go around the corner like that. >> Yeah. Yeah. Okay. But you were in. Okay. >> Yeah. I told the other officer that I stepped in and asked her a question. I did. I asked. >> Okay. So, where was Dakota at that point? >> Dakota? >> He was He was standing right on the side of me. >> Okay. >> He was on the side of me. >> Dakota was >> Dakota. All right. Dakota was right here. >> So, Dakota was behind you or inside the apartment when you turned in the apartment. I said, "Okay, you know, whatever." And I went down the steps and I called him a sick mother for talking to a kid. You got to be sick to be sitting there talking to a 16-year-old like that. Come on, man. You're 28. >> I get it. But you're a mom, right? >> I know. And and that me being that way is okay. >> That is sick. That's sick. She's 16. That's my son's girlfriend. That's got That's not right. It's >> okay. But why would you go to him and then get You're in handcuffs right now. >> You're right. Now you're going to have to face charges because of witness statements >> that are made over there. >> I didn't say anything. I didn't touch anybody or anything. >> Okay. >> So why do I have to be detained when I didn't touch nobody? >> Okay. Well, that's not the same. Your story is not matching up. I'm hearing two different stories. >> But I didn't touch nobody. >> But you did not. You were not welcome in that apartment when you >> I never received papers. I never received anything. Nobody has told me anything that I was not aware of anything. >> Of what? Papers of what? like not being there or not welcome there. Nobody has told me anything. >> Well, I don't You don't live there. >> I used to live there. >> Okay. Okay. >> I know. >> I used to live in Clark County. I don't just roll back up in my own house. >> I understand that. But I used to live there. That's what I'm saying. I never knew of anything. >> Okay. But what address did you give this officer here? >> The new address I'm at. >> Okay. So, you had no right. Correct. >> No right. >> Had no right being in there know >> stepping in the apartment. >> I just asked a question, but you're right. The woman acknowledges that going there was a mistake, but insists she was trying to defend her son. >> Okay. >> I didn't do anything. I didn't say anything out of line. I didn't do anything. I didn't make any threats or any kind of statements like that. >> Okay. Well, what was Aiden saying while you were there? >> Aiden? >> Yes. What was your son yelling while he was there? He'd make any statements while he was speaking back and forth with Dakota or grandma? that he was well what what was said before I even stepped in there I don't know I have no idea what was said but after that yeah he's like you know he's like you're a grown ass man talking to a 16year-old girl how does that make you feel >> okay >> you know him and Dakota were really close >> that's it >> and then you know Dakota broke that that line of trust when he went behind my son's back and talked to my son's 16-year-old girlfriend >> okay so where was the driver of the vehicle while y'all were in the steps >> outside >> the steps outside as outside as the bottom of the steps. >> Okay. All right. >> Outside out like all the way in like the >> ground. All right. So your son didn't say anything else to him. Just kept it >> Yeah. >> directed towards the girlfriend. No threatening statements. No mention of a firearm while you were there. >> No. >> Not that I hear. Not that I heard. Not that I heard. I don't know. We >> Was it because we were too busy yelling that you couldn't hear what your son was yelling at the same time? >> Possible. >> Okay. Well, as of right now, you're just detained. Once this other officer gets here, I'll talk to him. But like I said, you're you're like right here with everything they're saying. >> I know, but I didn't do anything. >> I know. So, you're putting yourself exactly where they said you were and what you did. >> And I I I know. I fully understand where you're coming from. I shouldn't have >> Officers decide there is probable cause for charges and place the woman under arrest while her son is taken into juvenile custody. >> I know there's a woman going over there. I completely >> Yeah, it ain't worth it. It wasn't. You're on honest pain. You're worth. It wasn't. It wasn't worth it. It wasn't. I have a new job interview tomorrow. I can't do this. >> Wow. What's going on with George and Mike? >> Oh, I'm getting a second job. >> Yeah. I have three kids, bro. I got to I got >> All right. Hang tight with her. >> All right. So, at this point then, you're going to be going to jail today for unlawful entry. >> Please. >> We've got enough. >> Please. Please don't. >> No. That's That's where we're at. You're going to be under arrest as of right now for unlawful entry. He is going to juvenile detention, too. I'm going to go. >> The woman was charged with unlawful entry, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and a probation violation. Remember, confronting someone in anger can quickly escalate into legal trouble, especially when it involves entering someone else's home without permission. Parents are expected to guide their children toward calm solutions rather than escalating conflicts. This is the reaction of netzens to this [music] situation. The officers stayed calm even though the situation was chaotic. This shows how acting on anger can make a bad situation worse. The mom clearly cared about her son, but going there like that was a mistake. You think the officers were out of options here? Watch what happens next on the body cam [bell] and tell us if you would have done the same. The next incident is when police rescue mother of three trapped with extremely AB star siv boyfriend. >> [ __ ] me. I said I'm not doing anything. I'm leaving. >> I'm going to go ahead and say that's not appropriate. >> Stop resisting. >> Okay, I'm I'm not resisting. >> Is going to be mad at me. On November 30th, 2024, officers responded to a residence following a report of a man destroying furniture and beating his girlfriend after she asked him to leave during a petty argument. >> Puerto Rico. >> Really? >> By >> Oh, yeah. City, can you attempt to recont her? I'm not seeing a Chevy Equinox here and there's no answer at the door. They were waiting in the car and then he left and then additional calls that he came back and was ripping her out of the car and beating her. Unless they went that way, they might have gone out of the city. >> Yeah. >> You okay? >> Yeah. I came back here. >> Okay. because I tried to get um I tried to get my stroller so that way I can go down and get my tire fish and he came back here and he was making a scene out here. MY FRIEND LINDSAY SEEN IT ALL. >> OKAY. Where is he right now? >> He's down at Valero's right there on Mill. >> Valero is on the >> Can we get you inside the apartment? I don't care. >> I have to go get my tire changed and then I'm going to go to a friend's house. >> Okay. >> But he's down at Valero, you guys. like he he smashed my phone. He destroyed my Christmas. >> The woman tells officers the man had been staying at the apartment but was not on the lease. She explains the conflict began when she asked him to leave. >> Trey in there. That was originally why I called you guys the first time cuz you know me being the responsible mother that I am. It was only right for me when he was doing that to get the hell out of there. >> So I had to you know change my kids and then I had to do all of that. But yeah. >> Okay. What's your first name? Katie. >> Katie. >> Yeah. Katie, >> do you want us to arrest him? >> Please. >> Then we need to we need to see the damaged items and we need to take a statement from you. >> Okay. And it's on probate. He's on probation, too. >> Okay. But if we're going to do that, we still need to get all that accomplished. So, we need you to go to the apartment so we can take a statement from you and see the damaged. >> I'm going to warn you guys, he demolished my whole house. Dishes and sink everywhere. He he demolished it. >> Does he live here with you? >> He's not my residence or he's not on my lease. >> Does he live here with you? No. >> Does he stay here? No. >> Where did he has another address? >> Why did he put his address here for probation? Why he did that? I don't know cuz he don't he don't live here. He's literally not on my lease. >> Where does he live then? >> He's putting control. >> Did he stay last night? >> Yeah. >> Did he stay the night before? >> And I tried. >> Katie, did he stay the night before? >> But then his cousin Edwin was over here. Why don't Why do we >> This is the thing. I tried. Officers enter the apartment with her to document the reported damage, including a damaged Christmas tree and a phone with visible damage. >> Tried to get him to leave last night. His his cousin Edwin was here. >> Okay. >> You know, he tried getting him to go to the house with him and he wouldn't leave. >> Katie, I'm going to be the I'm super cold. Can we go inside? >> Yeah. Okay. I'll meet you guys over there. >> Nice. >> Come on. >> I got one [snorts] of those, too. >> Oh, he demolished it in here. Okay. >> He did all of this. I just bought this for my kids yesterday. >> Just leave it there. Leave it there. It's okay. >> Well, mommy will get a new one. It's >> all right. So, was this in the your cell phone? He said he had >> When did that happen? >> He looked at the phone because I came back. I thought he left. >> Which he did leave. >> Uhhuh. >> And I saw, you know, I seen him walking down Mill. >> Then I pulled back up here because I'm like, "Now it's the time to go get my stroller, you know, cuz the three little ones." >> So, I come back, get the stroller, and my friend Lindsay was on the phone. She goes for everything. >> The woman explains that earlier in the day, the man threw the tree to the ground, took her phone, and later threw it onto the pavement while she was attempting to leave the area. >> Come back, get the stroller while he's coming. So, I get in my car, try to leave, and he runs up, tries to snatch my keys out of my ignition while it's running. >> Okay. >> And then he smashed my phone. >> Did he pull you out of the car? >> Yeah, he did. >> Okay. Also, >> he literally grabbed me by my hoodie and ripped me out of the car and he's like, "You're going in the house with me." I said, "I'm not doing anything. I'm leaving." >> And then I finally got out and left. >> Where's your phone right now? >> Right here. My phone is on there. >> He keeps calling, but I'm not answering. >> You said you smashed your phone? >> Yeah. Let's see right here. >> And Lindsay was on the phone and it hung up. >> You're You're on with somebody there. >> Yeah, it's my friend Lindsay. I've been on the phone with her the whole time. >> Okay. >> Yeah, we got to >> You want to take a look through the apartment? See if he anything else is is messed up. This is really is what he did is just all this >> my kitchen. >> I have to And guess who gets stuck cleaning it all? >> What uh what's broken in the kitchen? >> Katie, >> he literally did all my dishes. All of that. >> I don't I don't know what you mean. >> Like all of this this I had all this stuff. All this stuff was for now. He took all food that was in the garbage and I just start paying for it all. Officers document the property damage and take a formal statement while the woman explains she called police [music] because she wanted the situation handled safely for her and her children. >> But did you say the dishes were broken? >> No. Like he literally took dishes out of my dish. >> Just took them out and put them in a different spot. >> Make it look like I'm dirty or something. >> I'm going to go ahead and say that's not appropriate. That dog needs a bigger kennel. >> I was going to say something. Yeah, your dog needs a bigger crate there. >> Yeah, I know. >> He put him in there. I had him out a little while ago. I had to Crazy. >> Is this just Is this damaged or just knocked over? >> I think it's I don't know. Can I see? Can I see the tree? >> Yeah. >> Thank you. I think they just go back together. >> Missing a leg. >> It's missing a leg. >> Yeah, it is a stand up. >> It's missing two legs. >> Yep. >> Well, there's a leg. >> One leg is here and then the other leg I saw is over there. All right. Everybody's fine. Lindsay, I'm going to clean this house. >> Everybody's fine. >> Everybody's okay. >> Clean this house and then I'll be okay. >> Except for the dog. >> You said he's at Bolero right here on um or is it BP? It used to be Bolero. >> What is he doing there? Is he just hanging out there? Does he know that we're coming to [laughter] you guys coming? >> Dropped him off there because he wouldn't get out of my car. Dropped him off there and then ran back to you guys and let you guys know he was there. You see the car? >> All right, Katie. While Officer Bernard does all the paperwork he needs to do with you, Officer Mack and I are going to go see if we can't find him and talk to him. Okay. >> Or even if you don't, I don't know. Just tell him don't come back here and just leave me alone and that will literally be >> one leg on this is broken. Her case has a little like skid mark on it. >> We're going to go find Wesley. You let us know what we're doing with them. Okay. >> All right. I got to fill this out with you. Okay. >> Okay. Yeah. Sorry. I'm just cleaning up out here a little bit. You guys will probably arrest him, right? >> Well, he did damage property. Anything else that >> Officers locate the man, instruct him to place his hands behind his back and arrest him while he questions what he is being charged for. >> Is there anything else? >> That was literally it just >> so the tree which it has one broken leg on it. So that is the plastic piece at the bottom is broken. And then >> it's broken completely. >> Just the bottom piece of the plastic that has one of the legs which means it doesn't stand up properly anymore. [crying and screaming] >> That is broken off. And then your cell phone. Can I see that again, please? >> See, I mean, it's the case. >> Did it? >> Oh, yeah. It did. >> Okay. This is all normal. >> No, that wasn't. But he did break my phone. >> It cracked through the case. I guess that's probably not a protective cases, right? >> I mean, if you guys could arrest him. >> LISTEN, THAT WOULD PROBABLY BE THE, YOU KNOW, BEST THING. >> OKAY. Can you kind of describe what happened? You were like, sorry from the beginning when you were you were here. Um, >> okay. So, what had happened was I slept in my kids' room last night because he wouldn't leave. His cousin was here last night and he ended up leaving cuz he was, you know, getting moody. So, I just I was like, you know, can you go to Edwin's? And his cousin even tried to get him to go over there. He wouldn't go over there. So, I was just like, you know, I'm going to just go sleep in the room. So, I went and slept in um my kids's room. Then this morning, I get up and he's still starting his so um >> What are you guys arguing about? >> He's bipolar. >> So, no reason. You're saying >> pretty much. And like his mom even said like he refused his you know he refused his medication. So I don't I don't know but I was like can you leave? You know and then he wouldn't leave. I was so he was like you know he got up threw the tree. So then that's when I grabbed my kids and I left and then I >> That's when you That's when you called, right? >> Yeah. That's when I called. >> So he got up, he threw the tree. >> He literally got up, grabbed the tree by the bottom and slammed it on the ground. Not once but twice. >> So he picked it up. >> Literally slammed it. >> Okay. And then he left. I THINK I WAS WAITING RIGHT DOWN. >> THE MAN IS SEARCHED, placed in a patrol vehicle and informed that he will be processed and brought before a judge while he [snorts] mentions contacting his probation officer. >> Get on for you guys. AND THEN I DIDN'T SEE YOU GUYS COMING. I CALLED HIM BACK and I was like, you know, I'm going to go um feed these kids and do what I got to do and then can you just have them give me a call when they're here? >> Positive. She has a broken phone. And so then um you know you guys didn't come and then when I seen you guys down I think it was right there what mill coming this way I knew you guys were coming here. >> Okay. >> And then I came back to get the stroller and that's [laughter] when he threw the phone and she was on the phone. >> How did he throw it? >> He literally took my phone and just went like that >> to the ground. >> Yeah. >> Like just >> she was literally on the phone. I hung her up cuz she tried to call me back twice and she said that's what happened and I'm like he threw my phone cuz she was trying to call back >> so it didn't get dropped in a tussle. He literally grabbed it. Yeah. >> Threw it to the ground. Okay. All right. Let's get this done so I can write this up cuz I'm going to have to go process him for the arrest. Okay. >> Um, >> see, he's like >> he texting me. >> Oh, yeah. He keeps blowing my phone up. I'm not answering. >> Oh, that's him who's calling. >> Yeah. >> We got eyes on him. So, what had happened when um you came back, he pulled you out of the car, he smashed your phone in the car. What h what happened there? That was literally I finally got the >> Did he walk away or did you >> I got in the car and left. >> Okay. You got back in the car and left. >> Yeah. I told him handed me my phone. He handed me my phone and then I left. >> He handed you your phone after throwing it? >> Yeah. Cuz I was like, "You hand me the phone. I'm calling the cops." I mean, I already called him regardless. BUT OBVIOUSLY, I'M NOT GOING TO BE A dummy in there. >> Yeah. Is that why he took the phone in the first place? You think? Cuz >> you thought you were going to call the cops. >> I just want to do what's best for my children. You know what I mean? >> Yeah. What's up, Besley? Hop off the phone for me for a second. Hands behind your back. Thanks. >> Come on, guys. >> What? What? What did I do? >> Oh, fought with Katie. >> A what? >> Fought with Katie. Let me have the phone. >> No, you guys are my phone. >> Not going to do it. Not going to do it. >> Put your hands behind your back. >> Stop resisting. >> Okay. I'm I'm not resisting. >> Where's the phone? >> He already got it. >> Okay. No, I don't. Thank you. No, he's got it. I forgot. >> Stop pulling away. >> I'm not pulling away. >> Yeah, you are. >> Why would I say it if you weren't doing it? >> Look, I'm pulling with my left hand. I'm not pulling away with my right hand. >> You got his phone. Okay. >> Yeah, he's got my phone. I swear he do. >> He said he did. >> I have nothing else on me, officer. >> I'm still going to patch you down. >> Okay, you can. I don't have nothing else on my hand. >> We're going in this one or the other one? >> Well, this one, but I'm going to lock it around cuz I don't want I'll hop over. >> But I don't want But I don't want to. Okay. All right. So, if you guys want to walk, >> I'll hop over. It's fine. >> Hi. >> We're going to be nice and chill about this. Okay. >> When am I? >> No, we're um So, what we have to do is process you. >> Yeah. >> And then get you in front of a judge. Officers continue speaking with the woman about the incident, confirm that children were present during part of the disturbance and discuss options such as a refrain from order of protection. >> So there's cap court at the PSV every day. So you're not going to jail. You're just going to hang out with the judge. >> Okay. >> I got to call my probation officer. >> I understand that. Who's your PO? >> Officer Dan Connor. >> Okay. >> We can make arrangements for that to happen. Okay. Hey bro. >> Yep. >> Thank you. >> Possible. >> No. >> Uh, what's your guys' relationship? >> We were together, but I ended that >> former intimate partners. >> Yeah. >> In the past. Okay. When did you guys break up? >> Uh, last night. >> Okay. That's probably Is that why >> I told I've been telling my friend Lindsay, I'm like, I'm not happy. You know, >> I don't know if that's what really triggered him, BUT HE WAS LIKE HE'S BIPOLAR. His mom's even said the same thing. Okay. Do you guys have a child in coming? >> We do, sadly. >> Just one or >> just one? >> But I plan on when I have the baby, I plan on going and getting custo. >> So, >> okay. >> I don't know if you can do it while you're pregnant or not, but >> I'm not sure. Did he make you scared and fearful >> a little bit? Does he have access? >> Uh, no, he does not. >> I'd appreciate if you just did this first. It's only two pages [laughter] and then I can take pictures of your and the tree. Okay. >> Okay. And I plan on cleaning this up before I leave. So if you guys could just make sure he I'm sure he'd probably be back here, right? Or arrest him. >> No. Yeah. He's not going to be back at the moment. He needs to go see a judge now. >> Okay. So I plan on cleaning this and then going to my friend's house. >> Yeah. I plan on cleaning all this mess up and then going to my friend's house. >> Okay. Did he make any threats to you? >> No. >> Did he uh strangle you at all? >> No, he did not. >> Did any of the kids see all this? >> No. >> Cuz when when I asked you out there >> Oh, yeah. Maybe out there they did, but that was about >> We're going to have to wait till Monday, right? Wait till for Monday for what? >> To see a judge. >> No, no, no, no. We have we have court here every single day. I have your phone. Okay. >> He came. He opened the door. He grabbed onto your shirt. Which one came first? Did he grab the phone? >> He grabbed the phone and then hit the hoodie. >> What do you think his intentions were with taking you out of the car? >> Trying to get me to not leave. >> Okay. You said he just it came out of nowhere like he just woke up and angry. >> Yeah. >> He wasn't like that before. >> No. >> Okay. >> He got worse tonight or I mean I went in for my ultrasound. Um I think it's early, but like I didn't [laughter] they didn't you know they see like a little thing and I was kind of like stressing about that so I was kind of already like you know. >> So now will he have to replace the tree and all of that or how does that work? >> We don't do anything financial. It's all criminal we do. So >> Okay. >> You'd have to take him to civil court for that which would end up costing way more for you. >> Yes. >> Yeah. Absolutely. I'll do refrain. >> You want to refrain from? Okay. >> See, I don't want an order of protection. I want to um refrain, which he said. What you said? >> Refrain from. It's still an order of protection. Order protection. There's refrain from and there's stay away. So, you want to refrain from order of protection. >> Yeah. Like where he just can't stuff. >> Yes. >> Right. [laughter] >> So, let me give you this >> cuz I don't want to do I don't want to do the order of protection, you know, because the baby comes whenever. Okay. >> So, if I can pray to where he can't, you know, demolish my stuff, then that'll And can you also make it known I don't want him calling me while he's in jail for a couple days. I need to not speak to him for a couple days. >> We We can't stop him from calling you. That's on you to block him. >> Okay. All right. >> Yeah. That's not because you want to refrain from It's no crime for him to contact you. >> Okay. >> Yeah. And then which one of the children's do you guys have in common? >> No. No. The kids are his. I'm pregnant with his right now. Oh, I see. >> Yeah. >> Okay. How far along are you? >> They said 8 weeks at my ultrasound. >> 8 weeks. Okay. >> All right. I'm going to take off. >> Dad, if you need that as well. >> No, I don't need proof of that. Um, I'm going to take off. I have everything I need. Okay. >> Okay. I really appreciate it. >> No problem. All right. >> Try to try to have a better day now. Okay. >> There's no plans for the day. During transport, officers explained to the man that charges were filed due to property damage and the disturbance occurring in front of the children. >> Yeah, cab court's not going to be till probably like 5. >> There goes me catching my truck today. >> I'm getting this dirt bike. >> Oh, you were going to get a dirt bike today? >> Yeah, I got people. I got to pay money. >> Did she uh put a restraining order? uh she wanted to refrain from. >> So she she you guys have a child in the way and she didn't want to put a stay away to to uh hold you from your kids. >> I get to go back to her house. >> Yeah. >> All right. >> Yep. I told her this is between you guys, but all she asked was um maybe you give it a couple days. Seems a little heated right now. That that was her request, but you've been you've been living there. So >> yeah, I've been living with her for over a year. We started living together in the summit. When she lived in the summit, we moved from the summit to about near East States. I was living with her there. And then we moved out to a I was living with her there and then we just moved back to town. >> She don't put me on none of her leases though. But I've been living with her for over a year. >> It's not like you're charged with trespass or anything. It's just it's just damaging damaging stuff because it happened in front of the kids. We have to add the charges of um endangering. The court will do what they'll probably ple it down, but that's I don't know if they're going to. I'm just saying it. Po's going to be mad at me. He's going to put me in jail. Yeah. He definitely going to lock me up. >> She said she was uh 8 weeks pregnant with your kid. Yeah. Are you excited or? >> Yeah. It's my first job. >> Okay. Congratulations. >> Thank you. >> I'm not a parent yet, but I'm trying right now. So >> Oh, good luck on that. >> Oh, it's like it's probably what you've heard. It's like what? It's exciting and scary at the same time. >> Yeah. >> I know when we were there, Katie Katie's children were pretty wild. I was like, "Oh, >> yeah. A lot of yelling and screaming going around right now, but kids being kids." the court I don't think the court would have granted a stay away anyways especially if you mention there's a kid on the way they they usually don't like to keep parents away from their kids if they can help it. So just to refrain from just to refrain from any crimes though can't damage your property can't put hands on her no threats. Those are usually the big three that are pretty common. So >> yeah people texting my phone. >> You want me to look for you real quick? It was uh Aruro. >> That's my uncle. What ethnicity is your family? >> Puerto Rico. >> My wife's from Puerto Rico. Really? >> Oh, yeah. >> Yeah. >> I'm from Viegas, bro. >> Oh, really? >> Yeah. >> What brought you up here, man? This is >> I was born and raised in this town. My mom was originally from that island. >> Oh, okay. It's beautiful down there. >> Yeah, it is. >> Nothing like up here. >> Exactly. >> But the Puerto Rican women could be pretty spicy. >> Yeah, they can. >> Yeah, >> I can tell you that from experience. >> Yeah, I bet. [laughter] >> They don't play around. >> No, they don't. >> Yeah. Yeah. From what I found on my my wife's side, like if family is going to spread out at all, it's either Puerto Rico or Florida, >> right? >> It's like very rare they come up here unless it's like for drum, you know, military affiliations. >> It's crazy though, right? >> Yeah. When all the instances were going down at the car where like he kind of threw the phone on the ground and, you know, pulled you out of the car, did the kids seem bothered by that at all? >> No, they didn't. They were all watching a movie on Wyatt's phone. >> Okay. none of them like you don't believe that any of them looked up and would have saw that? [snorts] >> No. >> Right now he he'd been charged with uh endangering the welfare of the children just because of the acts that he was doing in front of the children while all that was going down. Were you able to really even see the children? Cuz I know you were probably busy with other stuff, you know, with >> Yeah. No, I um I looked in there. They weren't they weren't um bothered by it at all. >> You looked so You looked after the fact, right? To make sure. Yeah, they they literally weren't bothered. And I asked Wyatt, too, you know, just to make sure. I said, um, did you, you know, see any of that? Did any of that bother you? And he told me, >> okay, sounds >> the man was charged with fourthderee criminal mischief, thirdderee criminal mischief, and endangering the welfare of a dependent. Remember domestic disputes can quickly escalate and reporting the situation early can help ensure everyone's safety. Property damage and aggressive behavior during a conflict can lead to criminal charges, especially when children are present. This is the reaction of netzens to this situation. The officers handled this calmly and focused on making sure everyone was safe. It's good. She called for help before the situation got worse. I'm glad they documented everything and [music] took the report seriously. The tension is already high. Or so it seems. What the body cam captures [music] next saves a life. Pause and comment what you do here. The next incident is when drunk woman doesn't realize she just somebody >> we just said like, "Dude, slow the [ __ ] down." And then like two seconds later, [ __ ] >> he's in the hospital. >> I'm sorry. >> Excuse me. >> On January 16th, 2023, police responded to a severe crash involving multiple vehicles. Witnesses report that a car was traveling at an extremely high speed before the collision. >> Yes, we are. No, you're not. >> Yes, we are. No, you're not. >> Delta Ko 5266 temporary tag BMW 750 and it's going to be up on the line at 4025. Yes, sir. >> Um, >> did you see anything happen? >> I did. >> So, me and my wife were in the truck in the left lane driving this way. That car flew by us in the right lane. >> Silver car. Sorry. >> Flew by us in the right lane. He was coming out of that road and >> this truck was coming from that way. >> Yes, sir. And I believe I >> It happened so quick. I don't know if he was trying to turn or go straight across, but that car was flying by in this lane and >> Okay. How was that? >> And we literally saw this thing. >> Yeah. >> Yeah. >> He came from that way and that car came from west. >> Yes, sir. >> Yes, sir. >> Another witness explains hearing a loud engine noise and seeing a vehicle moving at very high speed before it became airborne and crashed. >> Do you have your ID on you, sir? >> Oh, yeah. I do. >> We just said like, "Dude, slow the [ __ ] down." And then like two seconds later, [ __ ] bam. She was right on the left, but she was >> I don't know who the hell was driving that one. I came straight to this guy cuz I seen him trapped. >> Yeah. >> Ma'am, can I talk with you real quick? >> Yeah. >> Wow. I can't believe we seen it on TV, but I'm all like jacked up a little. So, I live right there on the corner with my friend Karen who's first. >> Okay. >> I was walking out the door to go to laundry. >> Okay. >> So, your door's on on >> Yeah. One door is on 38th and the other one's on 41st. >> It's the house with the slate uh chimney. >> Okay. >> But you walk out to the street >> sideways like I fought by the alley. So I walk out. Thank you. See you later. Go to get like I hear this noise. I go >> like a winding out like an engine like I don't know. Like I thought a plane was coming down. Yes. >> So I'm like what the hell is that? So as I'm hearing this noise getting close it like a flash. A nearby resident reports seeing the crash aftermath, including a car landing in a yard and a woman exiting the vehicle while others attempted to help the victims. >> It was airborne. Like I never seen any [ __ ] like that. I just on TV. >> So it's going which direction? >> This way. >> So it was going eastbound. >> How fast do you think? >> I I drive fast. You guys are giving me tickets. >> This summer it was over 100. Like I'm not I would never be all over. >> And you said they were airborne. >> Adrenaline. Yes. That's what I was not touching. >> Is this happening right now? No. And I don't know if we already clicked once and then was coming into the second. I don't know. It was so fast going. >> But you saw that vehicle. >> I thought it might have been that way cuz at first I was talking to the other officer and then I saw this. It was I think silver cuz it was like >> Was it a car? from the car. >> A car. So the car. So you saw you heard like >> loud. I thought it was a plane. I'm like >> and then so freaking uh is going eastbound. >> Yes. >> You just east 49 towards Yeah. >> Did you didn't witness any of this, right? Or did you? >> The only thing that I saw was the car landing in my yard and her or I think it was a woman pulling a child out of his car. Officers confirm that children were inside the suspect's vehicle during the crash and continue interviewing witnesses to determine what happened. >> Car was on fire. Uh I went to go find my fire exting fire extinguisher. The guy pulled my hose though. Uh I forgot I had >> pulled out the car. >> Yeah. >> So just to confirm, you could see who was in the car after the crash. Right when the crash happened, right? >> Yes. And what she look like? >> She was a black woman. Kind of tallish. I guess she had I think she had long dreadish looking or braids or something. I didn't get a good look out of her because I was more concentrated on the fire. >> But you can see her in the car, right? >> Yes. And she got out of the car. Yeah, cuz I watched I heard rumbling, which I guess is the stone. And then I saw her I opened the door and all I heard her say was, "Get out of the car." I saw her get out of the car first. and then the other people. >> Um, all right. Yeah, we just wanted to confirm that, you know, you were able to see who was actually in the car after right when they >> happened. If she whether or not she was driving, I can't tell you that. >> I would hope so cuz it was a five and a 10year-old that were in the car with her. So, >> yeah, I mean, I do see both doors open. She could have gotten out of that car, but >> I mean, she possibly could have got out the passenger side, but I just wondered if you by chance knew which door she got out of. >> I don't. I'm sorry. >> Yeah, no worries. All right, that's all we needed. Thanks again. >> You speak English? >> Yeah, a little bit. >> A little bit. >> Police notify the victim's family at the scene that their relative did not survive the crash. Family members react with shock and grief. [snorts] >> Yeah. >> Are you Da? >> Yes. >> Okay. Unfortunately, it was your father that was involved. >> Okay. >> This is my dad. >> It's your father. Yes. It's good or what? >> He's not die, right? >> He's He did not survive his injuries, sir. >> Not die. >> He did not survive his injuries. >> Where has he done? >> No. >> And where? >> He's still here at the scene. >> And here. >> He's still here. Yes. >> What the [ __ ] man? >> We're trying to get to the bottom of that. We're in the middle of doing the investigation. That's why everybody's out here right now. Can you repeat what I said you want to say? Sir, >> he he don't get it. >> Deny, are you you're okay with me talking to him? >> Yes. Okay. >> Yes. >> All we know right now is that Miguel was involved in a very serious accident. He did not survive his injuries from the crash. >> He did not survive. We're in the process of investing. >> Officers explained that the investigation is ongoing and that [snorts] the driver of the other vehicle has been identified and taken to the hospital. investigating it now to find out exactly what happened. >> So that's where we're at right now. >> The driver of the other vehicle involved, we have them. We know who they are. >> We're just in the process of trying to put together the pieces to figure out exactly what happened. >> Very sorry, sir. >> We were we were in the process of getting ready to try to track you guys down to notify you. We hate that you guys like this. >> No, no, they were still here. They were still on scene. We have them. They're >> They're at the hospital. >> They're at the hospital. We have police with them. They're not going anywhere. We know who's responsible. We're just in the process of trying to figure out exactly what happened before we decide how to move forward with the investigation. That's okay. >> [laughter] >> He's in the hospital. >> I'm sorry. >> Excuse me. >> Because we have to They're saying they need to any please. >> You cannot go up there right now. >> It's a potential crime scene, guys. He's conducting the civil crash investigation. Okay. >> So, he'll provide you with a driver's exchange information in regards to um the accident for crash report. >> Um during his crash investigation, there were signs of impairment noted. Okay. So that's why I'm here to make sure that you were good to drive at the time that you were driving. Okay. >> So he's conducting the civil crash investigation. Um, was it like a traditional like margarita glass earlier? >> Yeah. >> Just one? >> Yeah. >> Okay. And you said >> nothing too much. >> Okay. What time do you think that was at? >> Probably um around 1, two. >> One. Okay. And um you said you had wine. What time did you have wine? >> That that's when I had it. Oh, it was like a wine margarita. >> Yeah. >> Oh, okay. Okay. So, I haven't had a chance to go to the scene. I was coming up 38th Avenue North. >> Okay. Going home. >> Okay. So, I was coming up 38th Avenue 37th. He was coming from this way, so it had to be about 40th and I was going down 38. He darted in front of me and I had Oh, okay. Point. Um, I have probable cause to place you under arrest for driving under the influence. Okay. Would you be willing to provide it? >> No. >> Okay. >> No. >> When the driver refuses a blood test, officers inform her that the test is legally required due to the fatal crash and proceed with obtaining the sample. Okay, let me take it. We >> Okay, we're taking it. >> Unfortunately, because somebody is seriously injured in a crash or killed, >> we can take it in. >> Oh, no, you can't. >> You're being charged with DUI manslaughter. You have no choice per the law. You can let them do it or we will hold you down and take it anyway. >> You're not going to do it. >> Yes, we are. >> No, you're not. >> Yes, we are. >> No, you're not. >> 100% happening. >> Okay. >> So, it's just a little baby needle. >> Okay. It's just going to go right in your arm right there. >> Hey, Scott, I'm going to twist this off. >> Can I take the one cuff off? And then I'm going to do this. I'm going take the glove. I'm going to do the other one, too. Okay. >> But look away. It might make you feel a little better because you won't really notice it. All right. >> Understandable. Oh, God. >> While speaking with officers, the mother explains that an argument began after she returned home from work and questioned her son about using her car. She states [music] the dispute escalated inside the apartment. >> Get some air. Please God. >> Oh god. [laughter] Yeah. Oh god. Please God. >> Okay. One thing at a time. >> You don't know. [laughter] >> One thing at a time. >> Oh. Oh. All right. What is your first name? >> Luandro Williams. >> What? >> Luandro Williams. >> Can you spell it? >> L A Q U >> K U A N D R A. >> Yes. >> I don't even know what happened. When I came I came home from work from from work. I work I own a business and my son drove my car and I asked him how I asked him how where he take my car to cuz I the I got my car fixed this weekend and he went answer me and I said I I I I said I'm talking to you. I'm talking to you. He went answer me and he don't like my boyfriend. [laughter] He said I'm going to kill you and your boyfriend. It's we were fighting in my living room. He never been that to me. And then he he I have a a gun. He has a gun of mine too. Like we always get into like I don't believe this is happening. Like I can't even cry. Like that's my child. Like you don't know. God have mercy, man. What in the world happened my whole life? [laughter] >> I raised him and took care of my kid. Moved from Youngtown to here and we go through hell ever since. >> So that's your son? Yeah. >> Okay. I want to see. I'm just curious. >> Officers speak with a relative who confirms the victim is 21 years old and identifies him by name. >> Family members remain nearby as police continue gathering information. >> He's 21. >> He's 21. [snorts] >> What was your name? >> Her name is Lu. >> Your name? [clears throat] >> My name is Maya. >> Maya? >> Yes. [laughter] >> [crying] >> What was your last name? >> You. [laughter] >> Dad, I need you. >> Yes, he is. >> I need you, Dad. >> Oh, no. I'm in Texas, [ __ ] >> [laughter] >> Yes, I see him. He was on the floor. He was breathless. [laughter] >> They shot him in the [laughter] No, [laughter] she's in She's in a police car. She's in a car in front of me. >> [laughter] [snorts] >> No, I told them not to let her say that because she she saw him. >> Another family member provides a detailed account saying the argument involved yelling and physical confrontation inside the apartment before the situation escalated. >> I'm detective. >> How old are you? I'm 20. >> 20. Okay. >> Yeah. >> And what happened today? >> So, I was in my room when everything was happening at first until it started getting bad. My sister started screaming my name. So, I was like halfway going to sleep. I just heard my mom coming in the house screaming like about her car cuz my brother I had just wrecked my car. So, my brother been trying to been driving this to school in her car cuz he didn't want to drive his car. >> So, he was he drove her car earlier and she came back in the house like what what's wrong with my car? But I'm sure it's not in my car cuz she just be like kind of crazy. >> She like diagnosed issues. >> No, it's not diagnosed, but it needs to be. >> Okay. >> So, um, she came in the house and she was yelling at him and >> what's his name again? >> His name is Jiad. G A I mean J A H A A D. >> Okay. So, she was yelling at him. How old is he? >> He's 21. >> 21. >> Yeah. So she came in the house and she was yelling at him and he wasn't responding to her because when my mom get to yelling at us like we don't respond cuz if we if we start yelling back she's going to escalate cuz she always she has a real record of like us. I'm not going to lie. >> Okay. >> So like we just don't respond to her when she yelling like we wait to her to stop yelling when it escalates and then talk. So she wasn't responding at all. So she started and take his like I guess she was trying to take his airpods out of his ear. Well, that's what he told me cuz I wasn't in there for that. But I asked her after I asked him like what happened after she was outside. Hold on, let me get to it. But I asked her I asked him what happened. She was trying to take his AirPods out her ear and he wasn't letting her and she started trying to hit him. >> So that's when it escalated in the kitchen. Then she had got the knife cuz Jaw was like pinning her down like wasn't letting him and you know she was she was getting mad cuz she she was he was blocking her hits. So she had grabbed a knife and she was trying to so he trying to get the knife away from her. Did you see that part? >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> So, so we was trying to get the knife away from her and she was trying to stab him. So, my brother kept telling me to like get back, get back. And >> his brother? >> Yeah. The one that was the one that shot. So, like he told me to step back. So, I stepped back. And after he got the knife away from her, she was trying to grab more stuff, but I ended up grabbing the knife cuz we have the knife, you know, multiple knives up in that that stand thing. So, she was trying to grab that. So I grabbed it and she was trying to grab grab the our little coffee holder to throw it at him, but I grabbed that, too. So she was trying to him after he had ended up uh getting the knife away from her, she was still like trying to punch him and stuff like that. So he ended up slamming her on the floor and like pinning her to the ground so she can stop. And afterwards um after he was, >> according to the witness, the son eventually tried to leave the residence with his belongings. When he went outside, a sound was heard and he was later seen lying on the ground near parked vehicles her down. He was just telling her like, "I'm not a little boy. You're not going to keep hitting your hands, putting your hands on me." And then after um he had ended up letting her get up. So she went downstairs to grab her gun and I didn't let her. She was walking back upstairs, but I didn't let her come upstairs. I locked I locked her outside. >> She come in. Okay. So she came outside to get her gun. >> She went outside and that red car that red truck over there by the great two grand. Uh-huh. >> That's her car. >> Okay. >> And she went to go grab her gun >> and then she was walking downstairs, but I wasn't going to let her shoot him. So, I locked the door from hers. I locked her outside. And [snorts] hold on, I'm talking really fast. But I locked her outside and she was screaming like she was she was just trying to get in the house like give me my phone or give me my keys, but she already had her keys. So, but I just wasn't letting her in the house. So, Jiad, the reason why he ended up outside cuz he was trying to leave. Do you see his bags over there? His bags are probably on the floor. >> Where at? >> Over there. Where? over there where she shot him. >> Which car is hers? >> Um the red car all the way at the back between the two impellers. >> Yeah. So J was trying to get his stuff to leave. Like he was he wasn't even trying to go do nothing. He was leaving. >> So he he had his bags and everything and I was telling him not to go outside but he didn't think of course nobody going to think their mom was about to shoot them. >> So he went downstairs anyways as he was trying to leave. And when when he went outside I heard the gunshot. He was like ah. And then I seen him from the balcony on the floor and she was trying to >> officers continue documenting the scene and interviewing witnesses while the mother remains detained in the patrol vehicle asking for updates about her son >> get shot or >> No, I heard it. >> You just heard it? >> Yeah. I went out to the balcony like I was by the door when when I heard the gunshot cuz I was still holding the door locked. >> Uhhuh. >> Yeah. [snorts] So when I heard the gunshot, I went I went ran to the balcony and I see him on the floor and she was like trying to >> Oh, you were the in balcony here. >> The balcony? Yeah. Right there with the two chairs. >> Uhhuh. >> So you ran out there and you saw >> I saw him on the floor and she was she was trying to help him on the ground >> the concrete. Where was he exactly? >> Do you want me to get out? >> Well, just kind of tell me like straight >> in front of actually like in front of in front of those two cars right there at the end. >> Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah, she was trying to trying to help him and stuff like I don't know what she was trying to She look she looked like she was trying to help him even though she saw him. >> All right, you can take a seat back there for me. >> Put the jacket over. The jacket has been something in that. Okay. Thanks for hanging around. That's all right. 93 stopping by. >> Oh my goodness. Look at this light. [laughter] [snorts] Do y'all know anything about my son? No, >> unfortunately. >> As soon as we get an update, we'll let you know. [snorts] >> Uh, Robinson, turn the car back on. >> All right, you're good. Detectives begin a formal interview with the mother. She states the argument escalated quickly and describes throwing an object during the confrontation and attempting to defend herself during the struggle. >> I can do to help you. >> No, please get to the shoulder. >> Step this way for me. >> Going around the back and then you follow that other officer right here. This is detective policy coming in here. Um, we're going to redo your rights. Have you ever had the rights before? No. Okay. Well, we'll go over kind of slowly to make sure you understand them all. asked a couple goofy questions at the beginning of it. Um, so just bear with us. I'm going to give you this so you can follow along though with us. Can you tell me what happened? Um, so I was leaving my I came home early in between my two clients and J used my car and I asked him where he took my car at cuz he took my car to like at the shop and left it there and I said, "Well, did you leave how long did you leave it there and what what did they do? My car is not riding away. I just got my car fixed." So he wouldn't answer me. So I walked back to the room and I went back into the living room where he was at and I he got up to he got up to like grab his stuff >> and I said, "I'm talking to you. Answer me." And so I threw a glass, but I it went over to his head like a candle, but it went over said it didn't touch him. >> And then he grabbed me up and threw me in the li which something he never ever ever done. Mhm. >> And we have had arguments, but he never ever put his hands on me ever. >> Mhm. >> And [clears throat] I was trying to get him off of me. I was getting a knife because I ain't know like he's stronger than I am. >> Detectives inform the mother that the victim did not survive despite medical efforts. She reacts with shock and repeatedly states she did not intend for the incident to occur. is stronger than my I know and I imped. >> Well, I will tell you unfortunately your son did not make it. >> Oh god. >> I'm so I'm so sorry. >> What? >> They worked on him for at least close to an hour. that he didn't survive his injuries. >> Take me. You can take me. I don't deserve that. He didn't either. Yo, I'm I I know the pressures and I feel like that's what happened to me. I feel like you just snapped cuz you just got so angry >> and everything. No. Y'all, what y'all SAYING TO GO FOR REAL? NO. I MY SON. OH, NO. I'm not going to believe that. [clears throat] And I kind of figured something was going to come. What do I talk to me while? >> The interview continues briefly as the mother expresses distress while detectives maintain a calm tone and proceed with the investigation. >> What's out there? I'm like, tell me what's going on. >> Well, those guys aren't allowed to. >> I did not mean to do that to I did not mean to do that. I did not mean to do that, y'all. >> [sighs] [snorts] [laughter] >> Oh god. Oh. [screaming] [laughter] >> [snorts] >> SO JESUS HAVE [laughter] MERCY on me. >> The mother, Laandra Williams, with secondderee murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and using a firearm during a felony.
